RomanceRe: I Engaged My Girlfriend, Now I Am Thinking Of Calling Off The Engagement by ekitimanalways(m): 5:54am On Jan 16, 2021
Serene123:
Please I will need your constructive opinion on this. Been battling with this thoughts for some time now.

I engaged my girl last year. Reason why I did engage her was because I saw her intent to be with me. I have seen her gave out her cash to help get somethings for our new apartment. She has even used her cash to buy some properties she wants in the house when we get married.
She has stood and defended me to her family on why she is getting married to me. She has really earned my trust and never regretted engaging her. She is one girl that every man will like to have as wife

In the course of our relationship months back, I noticed there is this guy that call her. I questioned and she said is just a friend. I have told her I am not comfortable with the call. Yes I have listened to the calls and it doesn't sound serious
On 25th Dec I place a call across to her phone and she wasn't picking. She later told me reason why she didn't pick.
While we were together I noticed she didn't pick cos she went out with the same guy I have been complaining about. I got to know via a pic.
She has insisted nothing serious is going on.
I was so angry and I needed to take her phone and check up something. We struggled with the phone and she injured her nails.. She is saying I am a woman beater and I have anger issue.
She started keeping to herself and phone and was bold to tell me that this action of mine has succeeded in killing the feelings she has for me.

She has asked for time to get her mental health back and for close to two weeks now we haven't been flowing well..

I have tried to talk to her so we fix this shit but she said she needs time.

I have decided to give her the time she needs while I focus on something else. Yes, I miss her

I won't lie, is emotional for me and someone is currently trying to fill her vacuum by being all nice. I am getting closer to her, but my heart still yearn for my fiance.

I don't know if I am doing the right thing by being close to another lady. I don't know if I should belivee her that she has lost feelings for me and move on.
I need your advise.

Sorry for the lengthy thread
Bro, don't waste your mental strength... Move on!

Benbellaz:
When we talk about our childhood, mehn! It’s full of fun. It was definitely the best part of our lives. This so call mature stage aka Adulthood is a scam.

You have to do everything yourself, no money, no more candy and whenever a visitor comes visiting, no more money for you as per “you’re a grown up.”

Here are list of cartoons we all were obsessed with and we actually miss them so much. If you haven’t seen at least 7 of them, you belong to the “Indomie Generation.”

EducationRe: My 3-Year-Old Son Can't Read Or Write Letters, Please Help by ekitimanalways(m): 12:38pm On Oct 23, 2020
kenny1111:
Good afternoon everyone,

please I need advice from all parents and Educators and parents on Nairanland. today I just realized my 3years old son cant even read Letters A to F talk less of A to Z but can read Figure 1 to 10, I am seriously worried.

I don't stay at home except for weekends as I am working outside my state, but due to the curfew I find my way back home yesterday so I was able to discover this problem in the early hours of today.

I know the mother is trying cos I have seen different live videos where she was teaching him and working on his assignment, most times I pity the boy so much because of the beating from his mum alone makes me sick but I can't really complain since I know is for his own good and I know how stressful it is for a mother with 2 kids to manage her time and all that....

I called his teacher immediately and she told me my son will be going to Nursery class when the present term is over due to his age, sadly she didn't say things I expect to hear from her so I told her I will visit the school once the curfew is over, I need explanation, is private school that bad these days ? my son can't even write 2 and 3

I have bought Video CD, bought many play book materials containing letters and figures displayed boldly, I bought counting and so on when he was 2 years so i expect a better result by now.

pls sir and ma, I need help on how to guide this boy to learn better, what should I do and how should I go about it.

Note: any time I am home, I always go through his books, assignments and read his school rhymes for him.

pls Help

concerned Daddy

So not compare Nigerian carpenters, plumbers, electricians to the one in Canada. Those guys are rich.

When he came back I was married but we couldn't see each other, he travelled back and marries a South African lady.
But the few communications we had before he started ignoring me was as if he was angry,, every conversation must be diverted to marriage, something like this, : am I the father of your children, you dey vex for me I give you belle? You didn't leave a marker when you had the chance. Etc
I told him that am sensing he is angry with me but he said not at all. Am married too. He is my first love from secondary school.

I lives and work in one of the South South states, So this last Tuesday I just decided to pay a very needed visit to Lagos, on getting to Lagos I felt good and feeling alright.

But on Wednesday I noticed I was feeling feverish but I did count it worthy cus I don't normally fall sick and even when I do, I don't take drugs or concoction cus am sure it will peter away.

I was wrong tho, this fever had other idea so I had to buy some drugs (malaria, and typhoid wateva wateva) I used it as directed, I felt relieved a little but not totally.

And to the reason I created this thread .....

My right side of my body is feeling well but my left side of the body is not ok. this is what I mean

1)My left eyeball is paining me seriously .

2) My left ear(tru to the inside) is paining me

3)My teeth are not excluded, the molar, premolar, and the canine are paining me seriously but the right side of my teeth are good.

4) My left nostril , I have catarrh in my left nostril and this mucus coming out from there smells, maybe offensively but I know it smells, thick and yellowish in colour.

Pls doctors in the house what could cus this, who have experienced this before??

Because me am afraid oo.
Your symptoms are suggestive of a degenerative disease but to find the exact cause you'll need further medical investigations at a reputable hospital to find the underlying cause and have it treated accordingly. I would advise you to meet an orthopaedic surgeon or a neurologist so that you can be examined physically. You will require painkillers.

When Nollywood actor Pet Edochie fumed at the young men kneeling before a woman, he was backlashed. Pet was comparing happenings in his youthful age against  the youth in this generation. The traditional Igbo man is highly placed in the society. During traditional wedding, the woman kneels down to propose to the man.The one who kneels begs the other for a favor.A typical Igbo man hardly kneels for his fellow man talkless of a woman . He only kneels for the gods who he recognizes as more powerful than he is.

Pet is  not alone. Many men have noticed a decline in the masculinity of men. The Alpha male movement and redpill movement are attempt to correct this imbalance. When did thngs change? When did man begin to loose his ego to stoop so low to kneel before a less powerful being. Was the change sudden or gradual?

Women were seen as irrational and emotional.Men were the rational and strong willed. Men were taught to act like men They had to suppress their emotion close to their heart. Men should never cry in public.  Expression of vulnerability  is a sign of a weak man.  Men are closed minded, rigid and structured. He should not seek fun .Men. Should always be in power, strive for control, compete. They lack empathy necessary for effective communication and connection.

In early days, male children joined their fathers in the river fishing or the forest haunting. Female spent their time with the mothers cooking. Each gender know his role. You hardly see a man in the kitchen or a girl hunting. Men learnt to act like men and women learnt to act like women. Then came the industrial era. Lands meant for farming and hunting was taking over by the government to build factory. The owners of the land were jobless. To offer compensation, the men were integrated as workers in this factory. Their male children were not allowed to follow dad to work.son stays at home with the mum while Dad went to work. Father leaves home as early as eight and comes home by six. He is exhausted, he sleeps to get strength for the next day. Fathers became absent in their son’s life. The role of dad in son life began to reduce while the role of mum in son life began to rise. Mummy passes over her feminine qualities to growing son.

Then came education. Female involvement in  education at an early age especially science and  law improve her reasoning abilities (masculinity) . Female take part in competitive games like the male counterpart. This improves their aggression. These women ended up as heads of organization. They took  decision and gave instructions . These women began to have a thirst of power . Their masculine qualities were awoken.

Girls  who enjoy highly competitive games with a desire to win also increases their aggression (masculinity). We tag such women names like Tomboy. They are ladies with highly developed masculine side and poorly developed feminine side.. Such masculine girls are attracted to  the beta guys. If a man is more masculine in nature,he will be attracted to a very feminine woman who will compliment his energy. Balance men prefer neutral women.. Masculine girls at attracted to a feminine guy or sisi or beta guy . Such guys are few as society teaches guys to wear the Alpha mask. She can only find solace among her fellow feminine women. This is the origin of homosexuality- . Heterosexual are no different from homosexual as both seek balance .

Society has widened this energy balance over the years. Civilisation is bring closing the gap. Homosexual are closer to achieving balance compared to heterosexual. Yet, Homosexuals feel guilty for not complying with society expectation. . There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, for it IS what is. However, we need to bear in mind that society at this time is traumatized due to so many centurie conditioned to comply with that. DO we want to fit in? Until WHEN? We need to learn to Love who we are, while allowing others to be what they want to be. Acceptance is the way of Life.

We should understand that each individual hold masculine and feminine qualities within us. When both qualities are not well alligned, the person is out of balance. The traditional gender roles over the years has created highly masculine males on one hand and highly feminine female on the other side.  we are drawn to certain individual that help us correct these imbalance. These highly masculine males become attracted to highly feminine female.

"A typical Igbo man hardly kneels for his fellow man..."
You're economical with the truth. I have photos of Igbo men kneeling and/or all bowing down before Nnamdi Kanu... Is the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu not their fellow man? Or is he a god in Igbo land?

RomanceRe: Why Won’t My Boyfriend Introduce Me To His Parents? by ekitimanalways(m): 10:04pm On Sep 04, 2020
Lh2704:
Hello, (a bit of background) I live in the UK, my boyfriend is born in Zimbabwe but half Nigerian too. He’s lived in the UK since he was around 15/16 so about 6/7 years. We have been in a relationship for nearly a year; he is very very serious about me as far as I’m aware. He is always talking about our future; marriage, children etc. We are currently looking at flats to rent so we can try and give the “living together” thing a go and then eventually buy our own house together. He always talks about our future together and how much he can’t wait to live together etc etc as right now we have a long distance relationship as he lives in London and I live 2 hours away. It’s very hard for him to get away from his family because they are constantly ringing his phone to come home to do chores etc as soon as he leaves the house. He’s a very traditional African man when it comes to family and household stuff.

Anyway, considering he is so invested in our relationship and our future; he still won’t introduce me to his parents. It’s not like they do not know about my existence though however, as I have contact with his mother over text many times and she knows I am his girlfriend not just some female friend. I have met his older brother and we often all go out together and do things, so I have a good relationship with his brother. About a month into our relationship, my boyfriend was very insistent on meeting my family, so he has met my family already and often comes to my house and sits with them etc, so he has a good relationship with my mother and father. I’m just confused as to why he won’t properly introduce me to his parents as he has had many opportunities to and it’s not like I am a secret, as his mother knows of my existence, nor am I some “fling” since he is very insistent to move in and get married and have children etc. So I’m just confused as to why he won’t set it up already? I understand he can’t just bring home a girl it has to be a proper meeting but when he asked to meet my parents within 2 weeks I set up a meal and stuff and had them meet properly. Sometimes he tries to use his culture as an excuse but I have dated African men my whole life and most of my friends are African so I do understand a great deal of the culture and I have to constantly remind him I’m not clueless and he can’t try pull that card on me lol. I just really need other people’s opinion on this as I and many of my friends find it a bit weird. Thanks
Perhaps he is taking his time to further sure you are both compatible 100%... Just my opinion!

BusinessRe: How I Was Defrauded At Alaba International Market Today. by ekitimanalways(m): 10:06pm On Sep 02, 2020
mabeni:
embarassedi went to Alaba international market to buy a set of Tokunbo Home Theatre. Luckily/ unfortunately for me i asked around and i was directed to a shop where i would find my choice. I got to the shop and i specifically told them I want a SAMSUNG Home Theater and the search began. They tested 3 diferrent sets but the last one got my attention and I asked for the price.

The seller (shop owner) told me it was 55k and i negotiated it to 25k and he asked me pay. I requested for his account details but he declined saying he doesn't take transfers. I quickly went to use POS, came back and asked for the SAMSUNG SETS i had priced be tested to avoid foul play. It was tested and i confirmed it. I paid, receipt was issued to me but without going through my receipt, I wrote my name and signed because i never suspected scam.

Now, it was time for me to leave with my purchases and the boy boy told me "the engine/DVD to the home theater i bought does not support or work with electricity but strictly works for only generator ". I asked him to repeat himself and he did. The statement didn't make sense to me. He then suggested he could swap the engine/DVD of the SAMSUNG Home Theater i bought for another one that uses electricity. I sensed foul play and asked him why he didn't tell me these before making payment.

Note: the owner of the shop had gone out when boy boy was telling me this.
Luckily, he came back to meet us arguing. I narrated what his boy told me about the sound system they sold for me he affirmed to it that the engine/DVD doesn't use electricity. I got confused and demanded for a refund. These guys refused. Insisting I take another DVD...i refused either that i preferred what i bought. They refused me going with what I bought. This infuriated a lot of noise and here comes in an elderly man who claimed to be the landlord of the shop.

He asked me what was wrong, i told him and he slapped the Boy boy. At this point, i knew I was being scammed but was helpless as well. It was just only me against Alaba boys. The elderly man asked me to calm down that he was there to help me out bla bla bla and requested to see the receipt that was issued to me me. Lo and behold, the subwoofer and the other 3 small speakers was not included in the receipt. They only wrote the engine/DVD they claimed doesn't use nepa light and even boldly put NO WOOFER & NO SPEAKERS. (indirect or indirectly, i only paid 25k for just the DVD player )

The truth was, i never saw these errors before the arrival of the elderly man. he pointed out the errors and finally told me they don't refund money in ALABA that it was all a trick and the trick was for me to pay any amount cos the sound system i bought was more than 25k that i would have to add more money for me to go with it. I insisted i don't have more money to add and they insisted i take a Chinese product. I no gree.

To cut it short, i finally found out the elderly man was part of them. His job was to distract and calm their victim down. At the end of it all, i only got the subwoofer and 3 small speakers. The ENGINE/DVD was not given to me.

This was my sad experience today in the hands of some heartless Nigerians.

That is the face of the SHOP OWNER. TRUE CALLER shows his name as BEN.

acunnon, do you know this man?
Wetin u dey find for Alaba International! I avoid Alaba International like COVID-19... One could get a brand new one from Jumia within the range of 25,000 Naira.

Had only 1 child who is 5 now. So, after much pleading & persuasion because I really want my daughter to have a sister or brother from same parent.
She's pregnant now. It's been hell loving & living with someone who doesn't have feelings for you.
You're simply right sad
