Wow. Still no comments from @ndu_chucks and the rest of these northerners?
They seem to have plenty of time for commenting on things that don't concern them.
But none for issues that affect them and their region acutely.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Minding anyone's business but his own seems to be his modus operandi. |

Dede1: I guess you realize sparsely populated area with large land mass does not indicate high population. I am well aware of the fact that these two variables are independent. In fact, I seem to have been the first person in this thread to emphasize this |

Education › Re: Is Unilag Any Better Than Covenant University? by ektbear: 4:19pm On Feb 17, 2012 |
What does this translate into in terms of percentage who got 1st class?
What is the average JAMB score of those who got into Unilag versus Covenant?
Without these two pieces of information, hard to make comparisons. |

Dede1: Have you heard about small but mighty? Heh Fair enough. I'm not saying that having large land mass necessarily means anything. Point i'm making is that high pop density doesn't necessarily mean highest pop. |

Agreed. Land-area wise, the largest states in the country are in the north,
Population-wise, not so much. |

Nigeria will and must divide sooner or later.
So you can either negotiate separation peacefully and gradually through a SNC, or deal with option #2. |

Politics › Re: Sanusi Predicts Increase In Nigeria’s Poverty Level by ektbear: 7:46pm On Feb 16, 2012 |
Well, this was discussed in the previous thread. While Nigeria's population growth remains so high and jobs aren't added quickly enough, poverty will increase.
So you can either figure out a way to add an enormous number of jobs, or cut down on population growth.
Probably both will be necessary. |

birdman: Funny thread. Uwazuruike is chasing his own tail - his worst enemy is in his own house. When he was "fighting" in behalf of Abiola's mandate as he claimed, does he not remember what his "leader" Ojukwu was doing? Everyone was ready to go their separate ways in those early Abacha days. If the Igbo had picked up and left, no one could have stopped them, or wanted to. And what did Ojukwu do with this opportunity? He paid a visit to Aso Rock, had a "talk" with Abacha, and returned home claiming the people's (including Igbos) mandate was null, and we should all let Abacha continue. All for a few more plots of land in Lagos. Is this true? If so. . . |
