MRbrownJAY:Hehehe . . . are you testing the wrath of the pro-black femininsts we have on NL?? ![]() |
tkb417:Haba . . . I'm praying for a Man Utd legend to play and you're praying for a 20 year old to play in my team . . . whick kind ojoro be that. ![]() |
tkb417:Goals and assists are not the same thing, Nasri is averaging three goals in every two games. ![]() Last midfielder that did that is Ronaldo. |
Lord please let Garry Neville play . . . please Lord!!! If Garry Neville plays, I'll put my ATM card in the offering box with my password. . . I Jesus name I pray, AMEN. ![]() |
New thread. . . .and if the buzz going around is true,we might have Schezny in goal tonight.I am not sure if i am cool with us going to OT with a rookie but all the best to the lad.Can we be 2nd time victorious in the city of Manchester? COYG
Isn't that way too risky?? Rivalries are a different ball game all together. They're intense . . . coaches use new tactics, you have record crowd noise levels, and the emotions of the opposing team are next level. There's a risk that a player will either be too relaxed or too nervy . . . especially with the crowds. I remember Evra's debut in the Manchester derby, I'm not entirely comfortable with using the word 'poor' I'm thinking erm, disastrous. ![]() |
Why are Nigerians so classist?? It's even more annoying that the class system is more or less based on money. I don't see anything wrong with marrying someone below my 'status' Though it should be noted that when I marry someone, it'll be someone I share a lot of things in common with. So while I won't mind marrying someone of a different social status, I don't see myself having many things in common with say a lady that's born and bred with traditional African values or some hardcore environmentalist. And y'all need to stop seeing marriage as a flipping investment. |
Signing in. |
hax:Dude . . . I remember you had a link to PackFM's song on some thread . . . I'm a big fans of the Graffiti song and I bleeping hate rappers. Do you have the album. |
proudly9ja:Hehe . . . you obviously missed the cat and dog press conference. ![]() dipo2much:It's not that the free-kick was good, it's just that one minute, Zaragoza was the better team, next minute Ronaldo's freekick. As for Mourinho, you go fear manager injury na. ![]() |
@Gunners I'm not a Madrid fan abeg, I just enjoy watching the La Liga. The fact that every team comes out to play without aiming to end Messi's career is my main attraction and watching Barca is just me reminding myself that Wenger is not living a pipe dream. If you guys want a La Liga name for me, look no futher than El Messiesta. ![]() @debo Dude . . . I'm tired abeg. Dunno how you guys do it, yourself and Dudu that is. After seeing another Ronaldo freekick today, if we get Madrid, I'll be willing to put a wager on em. ![]() |
I thought I made a smart move buying Van Persie after his first cameo since injury, didn't know the plonker was going to the bench. Now I have to make sure my Rooney swoop is well timed, with my free money from selling Malouda, that shouldn't be hard. Even if he doesn't score on Monday, it will be enough to see him have about 5 shots on goal. |
El even if i agree with you in most part of your assertions(most being that RM stands a better chance of beating us over 2 legs),Ramos is not the best RB in the world. If the primary job of a RB is to defend,i dare say Sagna is a BETTER defender. Like i said, let's wait till the draws are done before we start dissecting who our opponents will be,personally though,i pray for Schalke.
Minor error . . the difference between the average full back and a good full back is the attacking. . . as long as your defending isn't wack. Go check it anywhere. Bring a list of highly rated full backs of the past couple of years . . . they're all more acclaimed for their attacking input. You'll never be a highly rated fullback if your attacking isn't excellent. As usual, I expect a backlash for this statement . . . but I know that people that can think for themselves without the B.S ideologies know I'm telling basic truth. That said, I think it's not sinking in here . . .Ramos is an League standard central defender, as in, he does it properly. ritchboy:Pub gist. |
debosky:Using your logic, Real Madrid had the best defence in the League before the El Classico, I'm cool with that. ![]() Aiite . . .let's make this simple, who in your opinion is the best CB and RB in the La Liga. You claim that you follow it 'religiously', you should know. debosky:At least you didn't embarrass yourself here. Aiite . . . still on that keeping it short thing . . . after reading my opinion on the main causes of the goals, would you agree that the highline is the main reason Real lost 5-0?? debosky:Hehehe . . . let's put it like this, Man Utd would not have kept cleansheets in the UCL if they were left in a group of Ajax, Milan and Auxerre, it's that simple. Hmmn . . . I never asked who scored more or who dribbled, I asked a simple question what RB in our league is as good. |
slimshay:There are only two reasons anyone will make this statement, either you don't watch him or you don't know football, but I respect you a lot, so I'll go with the fact that you don't watch him play. slimshay:My argument is, if there's anyone that knows how to beat Barca, it's Mourinho . . . but he couldn't or didn't use the tactics he used with Inter and Chelsea, why?? It's the El Classico. . . now does the fact that we only lost 4-1 make us on the same level with Madrid?? Nope, does it change the fact that our defensive tactics made both of us look shitty?? And made Chelsea, United and even Hercules look like a better defence?? slimshay:As I said, I don't have a crystal ball, I'm not predicting anything . . . I'm talking probabilities, their chance are way higher than half, and saying otherwise is just delusion. slimshay:Okay, it's not hard to interpret, the statement was just me saying what you guys have said just proves that you don't watch the La Liga. You know I speak fluent pub gist, but when it overshadows logic then it gets irritating. |
slimshay:Isn't it hilarious . . . I've brought out facts that anyone that can sit through 90 minutes should know and all my fellow gooners have done is take personal shots and hold on to the trivialities. The only person that's even brought out an attempt at a rebuttal is Debosky, I guess I'll have to give him credit for that. I expect you guys to tear my argument apart and take me down, all I'm seeing is one person talking about how Eldee is an undercover Madridista and the others arguing about the important fact that DSTV is Africa's best TV network. ![]() And then you'll come out to diss Dayomuller for doing the same thing. |
debosky:Is Villareal's defence as good?? do they have the best right back in the league and the best centre back added to Carvalho?? It's a Nairaland thing to throw numbers at everything, and you start complaining when Dayokanu comes here to call Arsene a crappy coach using number of UCL trophies as a yardstick. debosky:Of course the highline is the main reason for the first goal, 'that's the only reason your centre back will be near enough to the midfielders to think he can attempt to cut off the passes. And Villa getting the ball past Ramos isn't a crime, the real crime was Casillas' being beat from a narrow angle, same thing we accused Almunia of this season. 3rd goal . . . highline, offside goal. . . FACT. 4th goal . . . Halfway line highline, I can't apologise for Messi's dribbles, Villa gaining momentum, good thru pass. . . all started from the highline. 5th goal . . . Highline again, Bojan's pace, Ramos outnumbered . . . no chance. If you can come here and tell me the defensive highline wasn't a big part of that defeat (after The Trinity's brilliance) then I'll have to question your knowledge of football. debosky:Stop being a Dayokanu, Ajax only score three all competition?? They were in the same group with Real and Milan. You brought in the UCL, I pointed out that the conceded just two goals in what's easily the toughest group in the UCL, and you're here bringing in irrelevant talk . . . abeg comot for hia jare. Don't evade the homework I gave you, you said Ramos is crap, name one rightback in the Premiership that's as good. Oh, you already said Sagna is. . . my bad. ![]() |
ritchboy:Whatever man, I said Nigerians don't watch the La Liga . . . big deal, you're the one that said Arsenal and Real Madrid are 49-51. ![]() Infact you're o good at this, you should be a Super Sport Analyst. ![]() |
I downloaded it, but avn't listened to it yet . . .still on Kanye and J. Cole. |
Wordsmith:I've got the Preface jare . . . Give me Vector's album |
slimshay:It's just three gooners bullying tkb417 and it's fun to watch . . . ![]() |
@dudu Here's your match . . . we did it for a draw, isnt that just worse?? Arsenal had no shot at goal, 'Arsenal were happy to surrender possession for long periods, showing a lack of ambition which invited Porto to attack. . . Both sides seemed to settle for the point they needed after that brief flurry of activity and the game petered out in the final 30 minutes.' http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/6201488.stm http://soccernet.espn.go.com/commentary?id=205516&cc=5739 Wenger said . . . '"It was not a good advert for football," ![]() |
duduspace:The 2007 one I think . . . we needed a draw, and we decided to play 0-0. I don't think we had one shot at goal. BTW . . . who's on Twitter?? |
duduspace:Did we play negative football or not?? Yes we did. And I also brought up the Porto game that no one wants to answer for. I hate watching Arsenal fans lie, it rubs off on me. |
slimshay:Get your laughs right, he's a right back. ![]() slimshay:I've seen us one man down many times . . . dammit, Kosheyin has a customised red card, we don't play like that. And incase you didn't know this before, counter attacking is babanla negative football, especially if you're using only Henry ![]() |
@Slim El Classico is a different football match, it was a Mourinho error not that of his backline. Ask anyone that follows the La Liga, the easiest way to get booted out in Madrid is to play negative in an El Classico. And yep, we did play negative football against Barcelona . . . half the time we had 8 players in our box. It wasn't even counter attacking, it was kick the ball forward and let Henry chase, that's the worst form of negative footie. You think Arsenal doesn't play negative, go watch Arsenal-Porto of 2007 or sumn where we were there kicking the ball between defenders and going back to the keeper all through. |
debosky:This is a different Madrid, everyone knows that I'm willing to put my money on the fact that they'll go further than Arsenal. . . are you game?? ![]() |
duduspace:Go watch the UCL Final. |
debosky:Marcelo I understand (his recovery is average) but how dare you compare Ramos and Sagna on defending?? I gave you homework to give me just one right back that's better than Ramos . . . you seem to forget that this same Ramos plays well as a CB?? I mean as good as most CBs around. I've told you, you watched the El Classico doesn't mean you know Spanish footie . . how can you judge a defence by what happened in the El Classico?? Barcelona's Ballon d'or triangle at the best they've ever been, Mourinho trying to play the game instead of taking it forward, though I don't expect you to understand that you're not allowed to play the Inter-Barca style in an El Classico. Tell me one time (apart from that match) in Mourinho's entire career that you've seen a defensive highline. Chelsea's almighty defence had Wayne Bridge, who's attacking was wack and defending wasn't all that either, yet you're quick to blow their trumpets. And you just had to bring in the UCL?? They played in a group of Ajax and Milan and kept five cleansheets and you're trying to make that sound like a bad record?? I think you're too EPL-centric for me to take you serious. Any talk of probability numbers is BS. With the way things are panning out, no one can really say which Arsenal will turn up in a particular game, so all bets are OFF.So probabilities are cool when Ritchboy makes a treasonable statement like 'it's a 49-51' bt they're not cool when I point out that their backline is miles ahead of ours, their midfield is better and their forward line is . . . ![]() If you're not gonna play the probability game then don't but if you are, then play fair. |

I'll close down any Vector thread till someone supplies it. Infact any album must be sent to the Moderator first for review. ![]() |
I'm the only one that didn't get the Vector album. . . hmmn, okay ooh. |
lawyerchap:It's not contradictory . . . he's highly rated, FACT. I don't know anyone that's listened to the album, FACT. Simple conclusion, we are a minority. |
Kobojunkie:Hehehe . . . and again you pull it off, evading a direct answer and beating about the bush. ![]() This is not a question of whether you care what I think or me attacking your person, I have not insulted you so far. If I disagree with you on one or two issues, it's my duty to say it . . . if you have a problem with that, click on the 'Report to Admin' button. This is a simple question, what part of Asange's story do you have a problem with?? The fact that he leaked documents or the fact that he slept with women without a condom?? |
