@DBR I don't quite trust Ruggedy's ability to pull a sick album, and I'm kinda scared that he'll do another Ruggedybaba and put in three songs for 9ice. But I'll listen to it when you put it up. Does anyone have Vector's album or do I have to buy that too?? |
@DBR Hehehe . . . I used the word 'typical' for a reason, meaning tracks like Number One don't count. |
I'm not allowed to vote as a Mod, but I think we shouldn't be ignoring the fact that Ofoka single-handedly tore the house down with the Audio battles thing he started. He's spurred more battles in a month than I did in a year with Warcraft. |
@Ibime Poppy does not mean worse, it just means mainstream. Now as long as you said it already that you don't like it, I'm cool. Now I don't think this production is better than Talk About It or Illegal Music, it's just exactly the same as TML but Afropop. And I do agree that this is an Afro-hiphop Blueprint, I look forward to seeing if people like Terry the Rapman, Vector and prolly Modenine will walk this way. What I find remarkable about the album is that there are only 2-3 typical hiphop brag songs, that's a first for new Nigerian hiphop. |
MzDarkSkin:You must be stu-pid to say that. . . I thought I'd seen the height of ignorance, and then I came to Nairaland. |
@Ibime I see where you're coming from, but isn't it funny how M.I commits the same offence as Drake and Kanye and you forgive him because it's Africanness he touched on and not emotions. TML was everything M.I did but focussing on relationships and rise to fame, MBTDF was even better musically but focused on his emotional trauma . . . how are they any different?? I'm a fan of the direction over lyrics style, but Talk About It had everything. DBR:I swear, I didn't do it. ![]() |
vislabraye:You're funny . . . the fine is going to be paid by Madrid, remember the same team that pays these guys about £120,000 a week, yep . . . that's it. And notice that the ban makes the red card null and void. ![]() At the end of the day, he escaped smoothly, and they didn't even need to push it and appeal . . . I'm proud I got to see Mourinho in action, telling his stories to the next generation will be interesting. eyoniggar:You talk about class in football, class where Barcelona players are disrespecting Arsenal in the press every day just to get Fabregas and UEFA's mum?? Class where England's only World Cup is a fraud, class where executive members are getting bribes for votes?? Class where the Hand of God is football's most famous incident. There is no class in football, accept that. |
Ibime:I guess if we're using Africaness and relevance to 2010 Nigeria as a criteria, then this album is one of a kind . . . but if we remove that and judge them solely on content, then Illegal Music is the best thing Nigeria has to offer. |
Ibime:f y64 rate this 9.5 what would you rate Talk About It?? Or Illegal Music?? |
@newdeal Thanks for the info . . . ![]() |
chamotex:You mean that show that's sponsored by Fergie. . . why do you think they call it M |
chamotex:Son of man, thou jonseth thyself. . . ![]() |
chamotex:It's called Skyplayer biatch!!! ![]() |
slimshay:You mean the same Mourinho he didn't beat once. . . in any competition in all the three years he tried. |
ritchboy:Yeah, he was supposed to give instructions based on the chance that Real Madrid will 'probably' be 4-0 up ten minutes to the end of the game, infact he should have told them to get red cards 2-0 up at halftime . . . see what emotions do to grown men. Any idiot know that pictures of a coach talking to his players cannot is nowhere near proof that he told them to waste time, let's not even get to the point of asking them to get red cards . . . Fact is different from the truth . . . fact is, pictures of JM talking to Essien before he goes to injure the key player of an opposing team is no proof that he was instructed, you don't need an SSCE to know that. ritchboy:I can't name one, you know why?? Because no one ever made a big deal of time-wasting till last week. ritchboy:Hehehe . . .it happens all the time, one loophole . . . one man exploited it, everyone comes out to say they thought of it first. ![]() ritchboy:Wrong . . . the only person that does not accept it is the team that's behind. Time wasting in deadball situations is used all the time, managers making baseless substitutions in the 93rd minute, players feigning injuries when they're ahead, players kicking the ball as far as they can in dead ball situations, players taking forever to walk off the pitch after a subtitution, obstructing a freekick. . . could you please tell me one team in this world that's not put one of those scenarios I listed into practice. I can even go as far as a few scenarios where fans hold on to the ball to stop the opposing team from getting the ball. Now you tell me to take Suarez' feelings into consideration . . . that sounds like you saying 'Messi's silky moves are not accepted in football because everyone else tries to kick him'. See how hilarious you sound. ![]() |
debosky:I was shocked when even Bojan knew he had to make well timed runs everytime Messi got the ball. I saw the match on my phone cus I was really busy, without the names, I felt like they had two Messis (one in the centre and one on the right), 5-8 Xavis (they could make forward moving one-touch triangles anywhere on the pitch), and they are proof that a high backline can work if everybody else chases the person with the ball. I've never seen Mourinho this lost in my entire life . . . how daft is it to try to play the offside trap on your halfway line against a team that has Iniesta and Messi. TBH, he had no choice, they'll fire him if he decides to play 8-1-1 in an El Classico. In order words, they are everything we will never be. . .defensively, passing, possession and Messilessly . . . |
@Ibime I sent it to your mail ages ago. |
montelik:You didn't look at it carefully, to simplify it . . . he broke the 11th Commandment. He was fined for 'causing disrepute to the game' and the evidence was in the fact that he told the truth in his autobiography. So, the crime of deliberately ending a career was the four match ban . . . and the extra ban and fine was for stating the obvious and making money off it. Now will Mourinho ever admit that he did it to circumvent the yellow card rules?? Nope, I don't think he'll even admit that he told his players to waste time. montelik:Now I did overlook the Materazzi two match ban, but then I remember reading about how the Italians decided not to launch an appeal like Arsenal did with Eduardo. I think their decision was based on the facts that, one, they won . . . two, Zidane was punished too, and three, race is a sentimental thing to toy with especially when you know you're not telling the truth. Now even though, I'm not fully confident they'd have won, one thing I'm sure of is that I've seen countless cases of things like this going unpunished. |
@Montelik Thank you for finally bringing up a reasonable defence for UEFA if they choose to ban Jose. At least there are people who can separate their subjective opinions of people from the objective views on things. The question of whether we should use the purposive or literal interpretation of the FIFA laws. Now if we look at it football has always chosen the literal interpretation because of it's consistency . . . An example is the fact that you get the same punishment for a simulation at all levels with no respect to whether it's 4-0 up in a Blue Square Premier match or the 93rd minute of a Champions League final. Also, we use a simple test for it, 'was there contact' . . . a purposive approach will be, 'was there intention??', and 'what are the consequences of the simulation'. Simply put, spirit of the law. . . 'Eduardo is a bleeping cheat, ban him for ten matches' . . . letter of the law, 'there was minor contact which although exaggerated puts a little doubt into it'. Spirit of the law . . . ban Roy Keane for life after ending someone's career, letter of the law 'well, it was a tackle, we'll 'give him a four match ban'. Other examples are there, like the fact that deliberate tackles that end careers end up with relatively rubbish punishments three match bans, the 'referee's decision is final' stance on most issues and the fact that until last year, many teams used to rest key players in EPL matches without any punishment. It's a question of consistency or justice, UEFA and football have tilted towards consistency . . . suddenly bringing up the purposive approach will just be another mockery of football like the Eduardo incident (assuming Real Madrid takes it up using anyone with at least one year of football knowledge in the appeal.) |
ritchboy:Oh yeah, I get it, he was supposed to use his crystal ball to see that Alonso and Ramos will get yellow cards in the match . . . and he was supposed to forsee a 4-0 lead at 75 minutes so he can say 'yo Ramon, Xabi . . . we'll be 4-0 up 81 minutes into the game, can you like pull an Oscar winning send off after the Ronaldo penalty??'. How do I expect a player 4-0 up to get a yellow card for time wasting without looking ridiculous?? Oh, so Alonso and Ramos are the first players to waste time after to protect a high margin win?? Hehehe . . . genius is he thought of it before you did, it's like saying Einstein was daft because other people expanded his basic ideas. At the end of the day, his defence is simple, I told my players to waste time, it's innocent until proven guilty. We didn't arrest Van Marwijk for sending out an army of Kugfu fighters to the WC Final did we?? ritchboy:You see, we can be trivial and argue over the meaning of 'accepted' in this context . . . or we could just be reasonable and note that accepted means widely practised and popular with managers and players and not frowned upon like diving and setting out to injure players. I call reasonable. |
jmaine:Hehehe . . . did I punch your 'rant' button. Aiite, I apologise, I didn't tear you apart, I tore your post apart . . . happy now?? ![]() jmaine:I mentioned two showmen (dunno what you mean by 'media freak'), I gave you famous examples of Benitez doing things to spark media interest . . . I dare you to challenge any of those facts I put down in my last post and I'll bring reliable references. And I mentioned Holloway too, you probably don't have enough football knowledge to even do the Benitez reply, bringing in Holloway will be punishment. jmaine:Simple question, offence probably intended, do you know what the word 'loathe' means?? ![]() Apply the term correctly, I'm here to improve your knowledge of football, I didn't sign up for vocabulary development but the word you're looking for i 'bullying'. jmaine:Let's get sumn straight, you cannot teach me anything bout the law, and by the look of things your cognitive skills are appalling too. First let me put forward the fact that you cannot come here and tell me Suarez' action was reflex, that is a totally subjective view. . . no one knows if his mental state was recklessness or intention at that particular time, what we're sure of is the fact that he stopped a goal that would most likely have sealed Africa's semi-final place. Now forgetting the mental element of Suarez offence (that is, even if it were premeditated), increasing a ban on a player based on how catastrophic the result was is not a thing UEFA has come out to support over the years. There have been calls for them to increase the bans on players that consistently set out to injure key players and they've not acted. Are we going to pretend that Nigel de Jong doesn't set out to injure players?? Now linking De Jong/Roy Keane with the Suarez and Mourinho cases, both offences have had greater effects than what the referee could do with his whistle and cards . . . they have not created new laws based on the result of the action the players took, it will be unreasonable for them to now come and create a new law for Mourinho, there's no law against conning UEFA. jmaine:Why do I need to come 'hard' when logical will do?? Good luck to you trying to make yourself look stupid by arguing against what I put up there. It's going to be fun to watch. ![]() |
@Hax It's funny how this whole thing started from a one-liner. . . I'm tired of arguing with a groupie. ![]() All I've said is, you can't insult these guys for dissing Pusha T, all they've seen is GOOD Friday . . . and he's been nuffin special on most of em, it's not like I'm happy bout that, he's with GOOD Music, Kanye needs people like him to stay relevant to hiphop fans and make them listen to songs like Runaway. I seriously don't know why you're dragging this, saying with one side of your mouth that he's been renegading the songs and then making an excuse in the next line. . . truth is, however way you put it, he's been ordinary on GFs . . . I'm sorry if you don't like people talking bout your BFF like that, but it's the truth. ![]() |
@jmaine Wow . . . your parents must be proud of you. ![]() You must be joking if you think I'll let you escape like that . . .ask around, I force sense out of you. jmaine:Yep . . . Benitez famously made the 'it's all over' signal to Big Sam, he also went into the 'it's all facts' rant when he brought out papers to show the press how Fergie escapes things, he has had famous tugs of war with the FA and the referees, he is alo famous for his weird adages that he drops every now and then like 'some people cannot see a priest on a mountain of sugar' or sumn like that . . . now do you want me to go into Ian Holloway?? jmaine:I don't care to 'decipher' your 'flow of thought' . . . all I ask is that you think properly before trying to insult other people on their views on subjective issues. . . and also don't quote me if you cannot give a reasonable rebound when I tear you apart, arguing with weak people on the net is kinda boring. jmaine:I'm not a Madrid fan, the result of that match does not affect me, the fact that you quoted me does . . . and you can't accuse me of reading passively when I picked out each and every core point you attempted to make and tore it apart. There is a reason Suarez comes in, and that's because you do not create new laws based on the result of people's actions, if we were to use this logic of extended ban for Mourinho, then Suarez would have been banned for life after singlehandedly(all pun intended) stopping Africa . . . it's called strict liability, google it. |
hax:Yeah . . . I know, it's kind of hard for me to understand those cryptic lines like ' I’m 2012 in 2010, which makes this a time machine, not just any Benz' hax:Yeah, because I said Nikki's verse was good means Jay-Z wasn't?? You're a joke. ![]() Hehehe . . . I don't care about Soulja Boy or Rakim's take on this, that's irrelevant to this discussion. hax:Yeah that was shouting, beat goes off means he was shouting . . .one question, does Pusha T pay your school fees?? ![]() I don't expect you to praise his play on the name of the track through the verse, but at least no one will listen to that and compare him to Tyga after listening to that. Same way no one will listen to LFT and compare Cole to Soulja Boy.hax:Aiite . . . I get it, Kanye's ordinary because he's too rich and he spends more time producing, and Pusha-T excuse that he was too busy beating an ordinary rapper to come hard . . . now I'll like to see why Jay-Z, Nikki and J.Cole didn't just roll over too. ![]() hax:Now you're giving me a reaonable excuse. . . now you shoulda said that instead of B.S like 'oh he's being forced to rap', 'It's because he didn't shout', 'erm . . . he did a Renegade, you didn't see it' , 'Eldee can't grasp the American accent', 'He doesn't rap well on Fridays' ![]() and some people care. just not you because you've probably never even heard a clipse song. because you claim he's had 5-6 songs to show what he can do. when he's released 3 albums in the past, and one really good one late last year. but that's you. haters gon hate. is it possible to convince anyone to like a good rapper? sinze says nas is wack naw.Hmmn . . . now you mentioned it a line from Kinda like a big deal was my signature a few months back . . . but what do I know, I'm just an obsessed hater. ![]() |
jmaine:Stop being a plonker . . . insulting people is not the way to get you point across, I'll usually not reply your type, but I'll make an exception. Back to the discussion, yeah, he's a showman, Ian Holloway and Benitez were showmen too . . . we all know who had control of the media and who became the laughing stock of the press. . . If it were that easy to control the press, why isn't everyone doing it?? So I mentioned the press now and you're bringing up the fans of Sporting Gijon?? Now look at yourself and look at the people you were insulting a second ago and tell me the difference. Does the incriminating sequence of pictures and the embarrassing acts of the players make the plan clever. i can now see the IQ level of the Man called Jose. Those acts were a pure disgrace to football and i wonder what is bringing in Suarez issue into all this mess. Suarez handball in the world cup was not pre-meditated but a spontaneous affair, who wouldn't have exhibited such reflex considering the heat of the moment scenario.Even in the law courts, premeditated crimes are not taking kindly to. So the Suarez bases is just sheer blind support of this poorly planed so called clever tactics. We need to think Objectively please and not follow the heart stupidly.Stop preaching to us about blind support, you're no different with your possibly obsessive witch-hunt . . . FIFA and UEFA have not applied result based punishments and starting with Mourinho will be stupid. They didn't increase punishments for players like Roy Keane and Van Bommel who set out to injure players from the beginning of the match, they don't ban people like Christiano for diving week in week out, they didn't ban Matterazzi that tailed Zidane all through the WC Final insulting his family, you don't make rules as you go. At the end on the day, the only difference between this and every other time-wasting incident in history is the fact that Alonso and Ramos had a yellow card each. . . till someone comes out to tell us what he told them, any punishment for Mourinho would be violating the 'referee knows best' stance they've been using as an excuse for decades of injustice. |
that's why he's j. cole. it happens. thats why he appeared only once, unlike pusha who was on most of them.Shouldn't that mean he gets more chances to kill it every week?? ![]() yeah, i see you were impressed by her shouting about how her money's tall, and her monster hairdo and. . . and. . . but she really wasn't saying nothing compared to Jay-Z.The song was Monster, she said she makes monster money, she said she makes more from a verse than Lil Kim makes for an album and she used some psycho voice and got people watching out for her album . . . now if you're not allowed to shout on a song called Monster I don't know what to say. i guess by 'trackfilling' you mean not shouting like nicki minaj. if you think cyhi and pusha were trackfillers then i shouldnt need to have this debate with you.Hehehe . . . did Consequence and J.Cole need to shout?? ![]() kanye doesn't do anything special on the beats. he didn't do anything special throughout MBDTF. does that apply to him as well?Kanye came out and said, 'when I'm not directing movies and making ill beats no one can kill me on a song' . . . what's Pusha T's excuse?? ![]() As I said before, he might have been Nas' ghostwriter on Illmatic, no one actually cares . . . you need to stop kissing his ass and accept that since August, he's been just another GOOD Friday rapper . . . in his defence he didn't want to rap, Kanye 'forced' him. ![]() |
tkb417:As I said, it's an intelligent move that no one had thought of before now. . .he's players were just bad actors. At least I'll take that over breaking someone's leg intentionally for a red card. Is Mourinho a genius?? Forget all his achievements on the pitch, and his influence on European football, he's turned the English media into his puppets, no one in history has ever achieved that. . . not even Cameron ![]() |
@Dr Kit Thing is, Chamack is scoring and making assists week in, week out . . . there must be sumn right about him, he possibly blends better with the team, like Ade did. Afterall Vela, Walcott, Eduardo and Bendtner all had their shots at the top dog position, Chamo proved himself in record time. And I do remember that when everyone used to complain about Adebayor missing a million chances you came here and defended him with his goalscoring record. . .I can't remember a player that had more crappy appearances and still scored on a regular than Ade. Should Chamack have tried a shot instead?? Yep, but should we bench him because his contribution to our gameplay is as good as any midfielder's, I don't think so. |
Should Chamack have taken a shot instead of crossing to Wilshere?? |
ceasyc:http://stagevu.com/video/mideurwowybu Just click download. |
hax:Dude, I didn't need to listen close to see J.Cole make a mockery of GOOD Music on Looking for Trouble or did Nicki's MPD not speak for her on Monster??. . . at least we know Kanye is prolly the world's best at making sick music and directing videos, those trackfilling voices need to tell us why they're on those songs. Weezy held his own next to Eminem on one or two tracks . . . those GOOD Friday dummies need to step up, if you can't do sumn special on a Kanye beat then you need to start thinking of retirement. |
ritchboy:Mourinho is genius, it's not his fault that the acting was crappy. . . it's just like asking Jim Iyke to star in a movie directed by Tarantino, does that make Tarantino less of a genius?? He worked it perfectly, at the end of the day, if not for the fact that this was JM, they won't be on this witch-hunt. By the way you do know that his defence is going to be 'I told my players to waste time since we were ahead, and the referee got annoyed'. Time-wasting is an accepted part of technical footie. |
