I read the following books: Lambs Tales of Shakespeare Without a silver-spoon Akin the drummer boy Agbo our naughty little brother Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens
I applied for passport re-issue 32pg late last year. It took over two wks to get it meanwhile they said it will take three days. I had to cancel my flight ticket, hotel booking. It was a stressful time for me. An experience i dont like remembering.
GAZZUZZ: Hard tubing and flexible hoses connect all the actual components of the air conditioning in your car. Evaporation and condensation, expansion and compression are the physics of why it works. There are five main components to the whole system, namely the Compressor, Condenser, Receiver-dryer, Expansion valve,h and the Evaporator.
The fluid that passes around the whole system is the refrigerant. The refrigerant can evaporate at a low temperature, and then condense again at a higher pressure. In the bad old days, R-12 was the refrigerant used in almost all cars. It was widely available, however it was found to be a contributor to the hole in the earth's ozone layer as it was a chlorofluorocarbon (CFC). These refrigerants were discontinued, and all cars after 1996 use a non-CFC fluid called R-134A which is kinder to the environment.
So, here is how all the various parts of a car's air conditioning works:
Compressor: The compressor is the work horse of the air conditioning system, powered by a drive belt connected to the crankshaft of the engine. When the aircon system is turned on, the compressor pumps refrigerant vapour under high pressure to the condenser.
Condenser: The condenser is a device used to change the high-pressure refrigerant vapor to a liquid. It is mounted in front of the engine's radiator, and it looks very similar to a radiator. The vapour is condensed to a liquid because of the high pressure that is driving it in, and this generates a great deal of heat. The heat is then in turn removed from the condenser by air flowing through the condenser on the outside.
Receiver: The now liquid refrigerant moves to the receiver-dryer. This is a small reservoir vessel for the liquid refrigerant, and removes any moisture that may have leaked into the refrigerant. Moisture in the system causes havoc, with ice crystals causing blockages and mechanical damage.
Expansion Valve: The pressurised refrigerant flows from the receiver-drier to the expansion valve. The valve removes pressure from the liquid refrigerant so that it can expand and become refrigerant vapour in the evaporator.
Evaporator: The evaporator is another device that looks similar to a car radiator. It has tubes and fins and is usually mounted inside the passenger compartment behind the fascia above the footwell. As the cold low-pressure refrigerant is passed into the evaporator, it vaporises and absorbs heat from the air in the passenger compartment. The blower fan inside the passenger compartment pushes air over the outside of the evaporator, so cold air is circulated inside the car. On the 'air-side' of the evaporator, the moisture in the air is reduced, and the 'condensate' is collected and drained away.
Compressor: The compressor then draws in the low-pressure refrigerant vapour to start another refrigeration cycle. The refrigeration cycle then runs continuously, and is regulated by the setting of the expansion valve.
The whole process is reasonably simple when explained like that. All air conditioning systems work on the same principle, even if the exact components used may vary slightly between car manufacturers.

How can someone detect that the evaporator is faulty?
Hello People! I have this 1999 Honda Accord (Baby boy). I have spent a lot of money on the AC system on different technicians.Tracing the tube, even changing compressor but yet the gas still leaks away within three months tops. Abeg i need expert advice on the matter o!
OXYGEN01: Does that sound logical to you? Do you know the number of nigerians who claim to be Ghanaians on daily basis? Animals wont even wish to be nigerians how much more humans. Shut up your boko mouth if u dnt have any sensible thing to say.
OXYGEN01: And a nigerian who is as DARK as MIDNIGHT, SMELLY as a belly goat, UGLY like baboon, SHAPELESS like barrel is also making noise. Wonders shall never end
Mr Oxygen01 why do you hate Nigerians so much and yet come to a forum created by a Nigerian to display your hate? Why don't you go to a Ghanian forum and spew your trash there. I know you wish you were a Nigerian. Our swaga gets to you. You want to belong. You try to mask your envy but it still betrays you. Well there is nothing you can do about it. You cant even toast any of our girls, their level of reasoning is higher than yours.
OXYGEN01: nigerians and dumbness are like twins. Seems your educational system is the most useless on earth. There are 10 regions in Ghana. Accra which happens to be the smallest is about 67 times bigger than ur lagos. Learn to eradicate dumbness from your hollow head Google is ur frnd anyway
You that your head is thick what have you created? So you are a genius and yet you have not made or discovered anything? What a waste on earth you are. You schmuck!
Asiwaju9ja: I was trying to explain how corrupted the average Nigerian Mind is to my friend. He didn't understand. You just helped me to to show him an example.
The average Nigerian youth that was born from the 70s knows no other way other than the corrupt way(Blocking, special-Centre, who-know-man, etc) I do not blame them though, however this is dangerous as these people have become parents and I wonder what they are teaching their children.
How can you say that Buhari would sell the JETS to himself or his croonies? This was the way things used to be agreed. But Now, things are changing. In the first place, the sale wouldn't have been announced publicly. You just hear that it has been sold.
Things can be done right once again in Nigeria, gone are those days of wuru wuru in everything.
Well! well!! well!!! See how you have selected an age group to point fingers at. Are you telling me that those born before the 70s are the saints? What is the percentage of those born after the 70s are in this present government or have been in the past governments? Check your facts well. Nigeria's problem cuts across all ages but started from the people that took over from the whites (post independence).
mrvitalis: For me I feel the cbn should free the naira Control for now.. let the naira gets its true value. . No matter the price. ...
The good thing is this the higher the exchange rate the costlier imported goods n raw materials and that means it becomes cheaper to buy and produce raw materials here... . That's just it
Free the naira to fall
Are you sure it will be cheap to buy things here when the naira free falls and importation stops? When there are is no competition, market forces always pushes prize in the north direction.
Somebody very intelligent should help break this story down. Is she a lady of the night?she said she stole the card, while he was asleep in the club.
I have never seen anybody sleep in a club before. Does it mean he was transferring money inside the club?and she was very smart to memorize the pin?in a crowded club?
She lives in Ogun State, but goes clubbing in Surulere Lagos ?
I know a ONE CHANCE Vehicle when I see one,and this man entered an Air Conditioned One Chance Car.
Lol! No matter how you try to add up the story, it refuses to add up. So many blank spaces.
exlinkleads: It is no news that Nigeria authorities especially the forces can frustrate the life of any individual in this country if they choose to do so. Lets not even talk about the Police or the RRS, or the Mopols or VIO or FRSC etc, but LASTMA is getting worst day by day.
For Instance: I don't see why following a road which the danfo drivers followed will get them to tow your vehicle but they wont even bat an eye on the Danfos. This is pathetic.
Anyway the picture above is the picture of a man who the LASTMA was trying to tow his vehicle and all of a sudden, he removed his cloths, sat down in front of his vehicle and started shouting on the officials to tell him what he has done.
What is really wrong with this people? And I love Lagos, no matter how tough the officials think they are, they will always meet their match one day.
See the video via link below - no be small thing ooo, see craze.
Lagos is a tough place to live and drive in. So many officials on the road want to catch you for one thing on the other. The revenue drive is on the extreme.
Its like that in the north. They treat corpers very badly. I remember when i served in kebbi state, the corpers lodge was a designated market place with abandoned shops. No ventilation. Only one door.
I had an experience when i travelled to the UK some years back and had a so called friend that was making hotel and logistic arrangement for me. My story is not a very terrible one as i have heard from others but i dont like remembering it. This my friend didnt come to the airport to pick me, he booked me in a hotel that was doing promo so i lost a lot of money when i changed my itinery, and he wanted my activities to be a function of his availability which i will be spending money. Well lucky for me i had other arrangements and sorted out myself.
I have heard countless similar stories from other people regarding their experience with our "brothers" , "sisters" or "friends" in UK, US or anywhere. Lets share our experiences, what happened, how you were able to sort yourself out. Also lets hear from our "diaspora" people why this is the case with them so we can possibly understand their plight and reduce the focus on them.
With this information, someone travelling will not put all his/ her eggs in one basket.
