LosC:Plateau State camp is one of the best. Somebody posted pictures of it 6years ago. |
This is a potential new venue for church camp activities ![]() More money to the government. ![]() LosC:I think you don't have sufficient information to arrive at that conclusion. Kebbi state and Plateau State camp are among the best. Somebody posted pictures of Plateau state camp here 6years ago. Valto:I was thinking same too. But you can power your Gotv directly from your 12v battery. I have tried it and it works. I tried it with the new tiny decoder but it should also work for the old decoder. If you have an android TV box, you can power it with a 12v to 5v USB converter, that is if the TV box works with 5V but if it's 12v, connect it like the Gotv. Na the DVD be the problem. I am still looking for a DVD player with DC input but I really don't don't play DVD movies, USB ti take over. The best still remains a DC TV in my opinion. The LG DC TV is quite good. The 26" version takes about 30W (the AC/DC adapter states 12v 3A) but I use it directly with the battery and it takes 2 hours for the 100ah AGM battery to drop from 12.8 to 12.7V. So I can get about 12.5hrs before the battery gets to 12.1v which is my low voltage cuttoff. Although I have never gone down to 12.5v from fully charged state because there is no time to watch TV for that long at a stretch. ![]() Note: The battery is mainly used for the TV. Gotv is powered from another battery. The sound from the DC TV is nothing to write home about as expected for energy saving reasons so I connected the Gotv/Tvbox to a 40w rechargeable woofer. With that I don't need the TV's speakers. |

Many people will not agree with him...including Christians. That leaves you wondering, 'has the scriptures changed"? |
If anyone on earth knows of such a vehicle, they should expose the particulars of the said vehicle to the public.Let the accusers rise to the challenge and publish the particulars of the vehicle if it indeed true. |

I have always hated night journey and I hate it more now with terrorists on the highway I'm sure they travelled that late because they were new to the state and probably didn't know where they were going. For those travelling from down south to the north and vice versa, it's best to plan 2 days for the journey. If possible break the journey up, sleep over at a neighbouring state. That's what I did during my time and I arrived at the orientation camp around 11.30 in the morning a day before camp officially opened. I had enough time to rest before everyone else came. I hate unnecessary stress abeg. |
iamJ:It's like you don't know the old Tpia from as far back as 2006. She and the retired Emperor Ademusiwa of western Nigeria of politics section are a special breed of their own ![]() Their threads dey get as e be ![]() The guy even modified this my post below (scroll down and see) ![]() |
Shioooor! How many Corona cases naija get? Abeg, they should just say they have found the perfect excuse to suspend flights to Naija. There has to be another reason, no be corona |
earthrealm:Ok, these are just examples. You search more on jiji for that. You may find want you are looking for there. |
If you quoted me on this thread just now and were banned, mail the mods at the button of the front page to unban you. I was also sent to the NL jail for no good reason today. I appealed the sentence and was released. The antispam bot is really crazy nowadays, oga Ceaser can bear me witness. ![]() |
ojeysky:There are quite a number of options on Jiji. Below are some I saw after typing 'Dc fan' in the search box. They have a DC port for direct to battery connection, AC/DC adapter and solar panel. You can check out some other ones too. cc: earthrealm

queenfav:Hmmm...this is not easy to calculate. It's easier to calculate for sunny days as it allows you to know the best you can get from the setup. On a very sunny day, your 4X 300w panels should give out about 32a (about 8amps for each) 50% DoD for 2×200ah is 200ah Charge time is 200ah/32amps which is 6.25hrs. But you can't get exactly 32a from the panels as there will be losses. So maybe 7-8hrs. This is for a sunny day. For a not-too-sunny day, it can take longer than that but the bottom line is, you need at least 6hrs of sunlight to fully charge the batteries. This is my opinion, the experts may have more to add. |
queenfav:Answering your first question. Of course the battery will charge faster without loads. The load shares the power that comes from the panel with the battery so the battery only gets some but if loads are off, it's party time for the battery. But this depends on the size of your solar array sha. If you oversize significantly the loads should have little effect on charge time. |
There is nothing dangerous there. She better watch it else she will become a balloon in no time. This is a sincere advice o |
The value of dollar to naira is about to go up again. We may be heading to N500 to $1 again. |
Topmost11:I think what he means is ensure you connect positive to positive and negative to negative. |
spartacus11:In that case, it will be good for my AGM. I need between 14.4 to 14.8v for full charge and 13.7 for float. But since you are using Gel, I think you need something that will stop at around 14.5v bulk and 13.5v for float. I have this 6A charger (screenshot below) that I use for my Gel battery. It stops at around 14.5v and occasionally shows 14.6v. The float voltage is 13.5v The gel battery seems to be enjoying the charge it gets but time will tell...although it's been 9 months now without issues. It still charges the AGM but I needed something with higher Amps for faster charge, that's why I went for the Suoer.
|
spartacus11:I think that FoxSur charger also reaches 15V from reviews on AliExpress. I am looking for a charger that stops at around 14.5-14.8V bulk and 13.5-13.8v for float. I have found some on AliExpress but still studying the details so as not to make the same mistake again. |
spartacus11:Same here. |
spartacus11:Which charger do you use? |
Penuelseun:Yes. I have a smaller charger with a voltmeter and I also used one of these DIY voltmeters. The bulk voltage was still over 15V and float 14V. I could tell the AGM battery was pissed by the 14V the charger was giving it as float voltage because it was hissing considerably. ![]() Hissing can't be a good thing or can it? |
spartacus11:Non yet. I am eyeing some on AliExpress. |
