galantjoe:Go back and read the story again please. The story is clear. I do not like it when people jump in, comment without reading stories clearly and with understanding. Two women were involved. The first was attacked inside toilet. He approached the second who was seated and started his irresponsible behavior. By the way, prison sentences in the UK are not like the USA. The same crime, the same gravity in both countries, but heavier penalty in the USA. This would put him away in the USA for at least 24 years. He’s lucky with the sentence. |
yarimo:Mr. Agulu, you see say you no kuku know anything. Even the meaning of kindergarten you no sabi. Mr. English too hard, seek knowledge about the elections in Abuja. If AMAC elections are inconsequential, why is it conducted by INEC? Do you know the positions contested for and do you have the ability to compare them with such positions in the states? If it was inconsequential, how did LP get to lose out? How did ADC secure its candidates? It is kindergarten and yet Wike campaigns for the APC candidate. Mr. Agulu, help yourself small. |
SmartPolician:The crowd goes where Obi goes. Atiku may not command such followership. Remember that Obi’s name is in the hearts of the youths. He is more than enough for the campaign. With the crisis that Wike is facing in the FCT presently, I think that the ADC candidate will win that election. Atiku will add his voice to it. But remember that the candidate is an Obidient. That’s Dr. Moses. An ardent supporter of Obi and Obi must reciprocate now. Hopefully the likes of El Rufai, a former minister can appear to show if he is still relevant in the FCT. |
Highly irresponsible man. Probably holds a British citizenship, but called a Nigerian. See as e do head like police boot wey don tear for front. Even the vulture like bald head wey e suppose to cut make we see am well, e turn am bushy to deceive himself as a bobo. Right inside a loaded moving train, get mind to rape women. E suppose to collect better military slap first. |
stuffs2002:So you were not there when even an Oba denounced OBJ as a Yoruba man? You did not see the famous declaration of Tinubu, when he said it. You and lie na the same mama born una. Well done. Even your fellow liars will be ashamed of you. |
Svoboda:See bro, it’s not about English. It is about facts in history. It is about contemporary history. It is about politics and power. You must engage people like me with historical facts and then we can talk about it all at length. I do not have to steal what I know about very deeply. I am sorry young man, it is not about CNN. It is about the Middle East, world politics and power. You are nowhere near any information and I will not share with you, as long as you pretend to know it. I have followed the Middle East and Asian history for centuries. I can talk with you about Iran in the days of the Shahs and presently with the Ayatollahs, when we talk about contemporary history. You are the one sneaking off, or bluffing your way, seeing that you are shoooking your mouth into something that you absolutely know nothing about. Ask your questions, but before then, simply admit that you know nothing about it all. Do not dabble about. |
Svoboda:Waoh. Are you from the outer space? Thankfully you talked about reading too much. I advise you to read too. Why should I trouble myself with giving you names of groups, especially when you do not bother to read. I wonder how you have asked such lame questions as these. Please get to read, research, study, make proper analysis and draw your conclusions. You do not need your so called western media to keep you abreast with contemporary politics and power play. Cheers. |
stuffs2002:Even this your response na lie. You see yourself. Self denial is dangerous. When confronted with facts, APC supporters cover with more lies. Una no dey tire. Go and listen to una oga again. Go and listen to una people again. No be Yoruba lokan una take win election again? |
Svoboda:Where is the isolation? Maybe you lot just never bother about recent history. Did the same people not make the same orders when the B2 flew to attack Iran? Have you so quickly forgotten? Who is the “senile fool” between the man hiding is holes, appearing once in five years, getting terrorist groups to trouble other nations and the Americans who want peace and trade with middle eastern countries? Or do you think that the Qataris, Saudis, etc who signed huge trade deals do not know what it means to have peace in the Middle East? Mention a country in the Middle East that is at peace with Iran, aside from the ones that they arm to attack others? I wonder how you lot are able to say that the USA could not defeat Afghanistan in twenty years. Maybe you have much more learning to do. You have a country with the strongest army and nuclear weapons, against a country with nothing and still make such comment? Do you need to be told that just like Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Afghanistan can be wiped away from the face of the earth in one day? Do you not know that if not for restraint and common sense, Ukraine will not be fighting Russia today? If not for restraint, do you not know that Ukraine can be wiped off in one day? If not for restraint, Israel would wipe Iran off in one day? Do you not know that the purpose for pursuing nuclear by Iran is to serve as a deterrent? This is not a football match. This is called international politics and power. Learn it. No be only western media, na southern newspaper. Na wah for una here. |
stuffs2002:m What will you then say about the man who on national tv shouted “emi lokan”, “Yoruba lokan”? How do you want to describe those words? Not tribal? Na the bitterness of Lagos no let you sleep well for night. The man without structure, disgraced the man with structures in his own house. |
seunmsg:The same Omokri who accused Tinubu of being a drug lord? Seeing that Atiku lost, he quickly decamped to Tinubu’s side refuting his claims. The reason was as we all know today…political appointment. The way to achieve it…attack Obi consistently and pretend to be on the side of APC. The same fellow who’s widely termed “anywhere belle face”. The pot calling the kettle black. If Omokri ever was an honourable man, why not remain with either GEJ or Atiku, or better still push for the success of PDP at the polls? Omokri that we all know, including you, is bitter that Obi floored the inconsequential fellow in his own polling unit, not to talk of his ward, LG/state and will repeat the same in 2027. Anyway, he has never contested a political office all his life. His likes are termed “Mr. follow follow”. The game plan is to stop Obi by all means. As for you, Lagos 2023 still dey pain you for belle. |
helinues:Such comments are expected here, where you have several unlearned youths adding uneducated voices. If you read clearly, you would have noticed the SE recorded as the third and not “top the region mostly rigged”, according to you and your very poor knowledge of English. You must fix your understanding of English. Commonsense dictates that violence during elections must not in any form be accepted. Next is the proven fact that statisense never makes sense with their warped and unproven statistical records. They have never recorded correct statistics about events in the SE. Without doubt, they are sponsored by APC to discredit the SE always. Commonsense should tell you that if APC won elections in the NW that was recorded to experience the most of violence, then APC benefitted from it completely. It means that APC was neck deep in election violence in the north. Those of you who deceive and delude yourselves with the victory of the LP in the SE, pretend as usual that Lagos was free of violence. You must be reminded of the threats and physical attacks by MC Oluomo and his gangs on innocent voters in Lagos, against Nigerians of the SE. That included those of the SS. Elections did not take place in the SE because APC was roundly defeated there, but elections too place in areas where LP did not have any presence. Elections too place in areas where APC recorded large votes, right? Elections took place in Rivers state right where BAT won right? It’s so sad to have your likes commenting here. |
Another great step in the right direction. That’s the way to go in Rivers state. Job creation leading to less crime in the state. While Amaewhule is restless and endlessly aiming to be the Governor for three months, Fubara tries to move the state genuinely forward with his policies and financial management. |
AMINDA:That’s your business. One thing is for sure: until 2027, he is the President. He’s health is of concern to all, whether friends or family. Your opinion only matters to you and people of the same level of your reasoning. |
AMINDA:Inspite of the differences or disagreements, such serious and potentially harmful situations must not be for jokes. He simply tripped. He was walking well. He does not need a walking stick. At his age and position, he does not need to move too fast, otherwise he may injure himself. Even the fittest Presidents suffer such embarrassing moments. I feel sorry for that. |
Feggie3:Work hard for your own and do what you like with it. E no concern you and you do not have any personal relationship with the family. You do not know them or anything about them. That’s how you youths talk so recklessly and get yourselves into trouble. If you can, ask to see the family face to face and make this careless comment, see if teeth go remain for your mouth. |
The man well known to be absolutely stingy in those days as a minister in Abuja. His barber complained tire. Fridays at Mosques, fellow worshippers dey help out, the man was known not to put hand for pocket. Enter back seat of his SUB and driver carry am go. |
Kalulu44:Before then, every corner of Lagos, every street, it was all about football. Every public school had very large spaces, used for football and other sports. Mention the name of the school, from CMS to St Finbarrs, Gaskiya Cardoso, Holy Trinity, MBHS, St. Gregory’s, Campus square, Agege township, Ahmadu Islamiyya, Igbobi grammar school, LASACO, etc. They all had big pitches, apart from MBHS where the pitch was small. There was also Maracana at Ajegunle, where men of yesteryears like Amuneke, etc were made. There was Volkswagen pitch. Every day, every corner na ball. No food, no problem. Again it was flying kites everywhere. No kites anymore anywhere nationwide. Your mama thread can never have rest. Sister no go see thread to do hair. Newspaper no safe. Eba no safe. NEPA pole no safe. You make your kite, use thread wey long from here to Kano, make your kite fly pass everybody own. You go take big stick hold am for ground dey play koso. Do you know what koso is? Abeg 1993 na yesterday. I have not seen kites for years. Street soccer no sweet again. Every corner table tennis. Lagos was absolutely safe, very peaceful and too much enjoyment everywhere. After work, you and your friend enter beer parlour, order beer and pepper soup for everybody, including the beer parlour owner. Una take 6 - 8 bottles go house lego until the next day. Politicians spoilt everything. It all started with Shagari. The gains from Obasanjo’s years were eroded by Shagari, paving the way for Buhari and his gang. The same Buhari changed the naira in 1984 causing economic hardship. IBB and his gang removed him, devalued the naira and introduced SAP. By the time his left, naira was exchanging at 19 - 1 in the black market. IBB met it at 0.5 - 1. Abacha took over. Tried to stabilize, looted and left the naira at 48 - 1. The rest is the history that we witness now. Politicians from 1999, used the tribal and religious sticks as their instruments of destruction. Nigeria bleeds because of their wicked acts. |
Kalulu44:You no be animal of today abeg. You be real ancestor like me for Lagos. That one naira could purchase the following: 1. A tin of peak milk 2. Some cubes of St. Louis sugar 3. Ororo 4. Eggs 5. Sliced bread 6. Tomatoes 7. Onions 8. Lipton tea or bongo Enough breakfast for the family in the mornings. With that same one naira, you could purchase: 1. Bunch of plantain at 30 kobo 2. Ororo 3. Eggs 4. Onions/tomatoes/pepper 5. Coca Cola at eight or ten kobo 6. Peppered meatpie from Kingsway rendezvous That one naira go give you one bottle of Gulder at 90 kobo or cow tail pepper soup at the same amount. Enjoy yourself and sleep very well. One bundle of 50 kobo in your pocket, na part of your salary. A friend of mine played kalo kalo with his one naira and won thirty two naira. One man who received his salary that day of ninety naira, used it to play in the same machine before my friend. The man lost his entire salary. When my friend played and won, the man wan kill am for nothing. He questioned what school boys were doing inside a kalo kalo center. Everywhere hot straight away. We run comot. That one naira would also take you into the amusement park to enjoy your life. Shagari/Buhari/IBB scattered everything and everywhere. From 1999, politicians took over and turned everywhere to iron condemn. |
Kalulu44:That market is one of the critical areas of interest to the government and people of Anambra state. Without taking such drastic action, mondays would permanently become public holidays to the citizens. Aside from shops in the market, there are banks, schools, private homes and government institutions operating there. When the market is shut down on Mondays, every business is shut down and government suffers losses of over 6 billion. How can that be recovered? When the market is shut down, the entire Onitsha is shut down for the day. The major problem is fear in the hearts of some of the people. There are those who are ready to go to their shops on Mondays, but are discouraged by family and friends. Government has put security in place. Aside from the police and army, we have Agunechemba and SASA, along with other vigilante groups. Anambra is much safe now than it was two or three years ago. |
2tpick:All you know is to say “it is a lie”. Without evidence to back up your claim, are you not the liar here? Oga, without delay, show us where sit at home was enforced in Abia state or any other eastern state yesterday and stop deceiving yourself. I am in Anambra right now and I will be in Aba tomorrow. Where was it even enforced in Anambra state yesterday? Why take a whopping three days off the week, sitting at home. If governance fails, you blame government for not being effective. Do not waste time with your evidence. Produce it. Did you hear of any person or group of persons roaming the streets in buses carrying guns? Sit at home was called off by the same IPOB several times and you watched certain cowards sit at home, stopping others who genuinely want to get to their shops/offices from getting there. What’s the use taking three days away from school academic calendar every week in the name of an unjustifiable sit at home by non state actors? Why make the entire Anambra state or region suffer? Prove that sit at home as held yesterday, or once again, please stop wasting my time. |
Kalulu44:The days when Lagos was super sweet until politicians ruined the love, unity and peace. Infact, you could stand beside LMTS/LSTC bus and one elderly person would pay you fare. After entering the bus, another elderly person would enter, you got up and the elder directly refunded your Tfare. Children truly enjoyed the benefits of respecting elders. Dem don scatter everywhere and everything. |
Timoleon:Everything don change. As they say, society don move on. |
mrvitalis:That’s what you think. Government is there to formulate policies and organize societies. Why not ask some governors why they insist that houses must be painted in their states? Are they not privately owned? Do they not comply? Government has the right to revoke your occupancy of that land. Government is there to make the revenue that would contribute to fixing your society. Now Soludo has taken action, just like other state Governors in the SE. Why was Mbah not queried? Why have they not been shutting down Ebonyi state on Mondays? Why focus on Anambra state. If you need a state to ruin economically, Anambra is not one of those. Now that the market is closed and the non state actors issued their worthless order yesterday, why have traders not forcefully opened the shops? When their shops were shut for several months by NAFDAC, where were the non state actors? Going forward from next Monday, shops and business places would be opened on Mondays. That goes for workers too, who would be losing salaries every Monday that they sit at home. You cannot move from Delta state to Anambra on Mondays, neither can you move out from Anambra on Mondays. What kind of irresponsible act is that? Those who travelled out of Anambra state yesterday, left home at 2am, just to beat the nonsense sit at home order. What kind of wickedness is that? How can you describe it? |
Throwing up on him can be considered an act of assault, if proven to be deliberate. Again, were there no vacant seats. Approach matters a lot. Also we must consider if the man who have one of those bad days. In those days in Lagos, school children would get seats in buses, stand up immediately they see elders, who in turn carry them on their legs and pay the transport fare. The reverse is the case nowadays. Infact children sometimes nearly chase adults out of the seats. Parents who travel with their children ensure that they do not show mercy to adults in the buses. I guess that’s what modernity, as they call it, has led society to. |
thesicilian:That’s what Soludo is doing. If that prisoner’s incarceration affects others, then someone must help him/her deal with it. |
mrvitalis:And you are not aware of government’s presence in that market? You are not aware that banks are present there? Or you think that the market belongs to traders only? You do not know that there are residents inside the market too? Do you not know that people from other states carry out their businesses there too? Enough of losses to the government of Anambra state. Do not sit and make comments from far off. Get more information. |
Mirasteel:Don’t mind the cowards. Why did they not chant such songs when they were oppressed with the obnoxious sit at home? There definitely were too many traders who were against the sit at home order. The bloody cowards among them, who were moles, ensured that it was in effect. Meanwhile their leadership behind the back must has started reaching out to the Governor. Certainly after this, they will all sit up. By the way, most of the enforcers are not from Anambra state. You can check and confirm. They invaded Anambra state from other SE states and others, ensuring peace in the pan states, while destroying the economy of Anambra state. Now they will all learn their lessons the hard way. |
2tpick:Says one of those deceived by Orji Kalu, Benjamin Kalu, Ikpeazu, Theodore Orji. Liars who term realists as liars to re-capture and set Abia state backwards. Please can you prove with facts that Alex Otti has not improved Abia state in the almost three years of governorship? If not, do not waste my precious time. |
SpecialAdviser:Why not take that order to Abia state and leave Anambra state alone? While Alex Otti focuses on building the state, with no sit at home in any part of the state, you all focus on Anambra state to ruin it for the people. No be only nwoke ike. Oya go comot nwoke Ike na. |
