gidgiddy:I did not expect anything less from you. If you allowed common sense prevail, you would have compared the monumental financial losses incurred since 2020 up till date, with one a one week suspension to get the people going. For upwards six years, the financial losses have amounted to trillions and there you are sitting on your tiny arse, asking a concerned governor to fold his hands and watch his people suffer such losses without end, to non state actors. I noticed how long ago you supported the sit at home, orchestrated by people from within and outside Anambra state to destroy the state and its people. You are not in a military rule and yet you fail to see that you are in a criminal rule led by irresponsible fellows called “unknown gunmen”. What an irony. Young man, where’s your thinking cap? You probably long ago left in a beer parlour in Lagos where you reside. “Nobody bullies Igbos…”, yet a certain group of people wield guns and force the citizens of the state to remain in their homes on Mondays. Nobody bullies Igbos, yet a group of irresponsible fellows kill innocent Igbo citizens for not complying with their rules. Nobody bullies Igbos and yet the people comply with the rules of non state actors. Perhaps you have a jaundiced definition of the word bully. My friend, it is cowardice to surrender your life to such confused statements. I wonder how you contradicted yourself. One one hand “Nobody bullies Igbos”, while in reality they are bullied by non state actors every Monday. Well, the governor of Anambra state has had enough of it, just like other decent citizens from Anambra and other SE states, who lose billions on Mondays. You definitely do not know what’s going on with the markets, otherwise you’d not be making such childish and unfortunate remarks. Nobody is asking anybody to bow to a “power drunk” who has lost his sense of reasoning”. The battle line is drawn and we will find out who’s power drunk between a legitimately elected governor with full state powers and a few vagabonds on the streets, who strike fear into the hearts of chickens like you. Perhaps you are not aware that the Governor has also issued a warning to state government workers. Stay back at home on Mondays and lose your salary for the day. Na cry you dey so brother! |
yarimo:Is English so difficult to write, Mr. Agulu? |
gidgiddy:And you claim to be an Igbo man? I wonder if that is truly so. I wonder if you have been to the SE in recent times. I noticed that you have never been a fan of Governor Soludo. Of all the Governors of the SE, you single him out always for your bad remarks. Even if you are an Igbo person, I wonder how you do not understand the pain of the heavy revenue loss to Anambra state every Monday. I wonder how you have never imagined the amount of capital that is taken across to Delta state from Anambra state. I wonder how you do not know that normalcy long returned to other parts of the SE, except for Anambra state. If you have made your research a little, you’d have discovered that criminal elements from other parts of the SE and the rest of the country, turned Anambra state into a theater of war, safeguarding their own states. The governor without doubt made the right move. Citizens have been moving freely about on Mondays, but keep away from businesses on the day. Anambra is predominantly a trading state. The state survives and makes revenue when trade works. It is the business of the governor to provide enabling conditions for trade to thrive. That’s why he set up various security groups, supported them and they effectively fought and brought that sit at home to an end. If anyone comes out on Mondays to shoot at people, simply know that the said person is an armed robber, pretending to enforce a non existent sit at home. Now traders will wake up. They all know the losses that they will suffer for staying away from their businesses for one week, particularly as they only resumed from the Christmas holiday. If they like, they can return to their villages to celebrate more for the duration. If they fail, it is within the powers of the governor to shut them down again and again, until they comply. Enough of supporting the wrong things, you the youths of this country. Granted that we have too many irresponsible leaders, you must note that the citizens too must not continue to be so irresponsible and promote such horrible situations in the country. Go to Uga, upper Iweka and the bridge head after 5 p.m and confirm how huge that main market is, just observing traders going home. You see them moving to different locations from Uga to Atani, to Asaba, Igbuzo, Agbor, Nkpor, Awka, etc. The closure will definitely affect and wake up buyers of goods who come from different parts of the country daily to make their purchases. Traders must wake up and join hands with the governor to make the state work. That’s why the votes for him in the first place. |
Putindbutt:Sit down in one room with one tiny window to describe places that you have never visited. Na people like you dey for Nigeria, by force dey want to talk like Americans. Benin - Asaba 125k road that had been there for uncountable years as single lane, expanded by IBB (who included the bypass), completed by PDP government in 2001 and did not experience deterioration under PDP. It finally became an eyesore since 2015. Even the Benin - Okene highway experienced deterioration under APC leadership. The front of Oshiomole’s house was a big disgrace. Last Christmas was a monumental disgrace and a national embarrassment. Nigerians travelling on that road never had such experience, where people spent 48 hours travelling from Lagos to the SE. Even the train going from in India from Chandigarh - New Delhi would have made its return before travellers arrived going to the SE last Christmas arrived their villages. When they deceive you to believe that work is done, you have not bothered to ask what portions of the entire road, right from Benin city they are working on. You just saw a little portion of the entire length and you are here jumping up, believing that government is doing the citizens a favour in a job that is going on at a very slow pace. Why did you elect them in the first place? You think that Benin - Asaba highway is the same length as Oworonshoki - Apapa and the portion that you saw represents the entire stretch of the road? Our sincere hope is that the government will live up to its promise of completing the entire 125km stretch by 2027. |
geoworldedu:I will be looking out for you before predicting. Who know whether juju dey your mouth! |
saintkel:Na me laugh last! |
GeneralOuki:I think that I definitely agree with your position. Maybe they were smoked out of their holes like Belgium rats. Now they are running kitikata kitikata like kasongo. |
saintkel:Reverse to Stamford bridge after collecting 3. Reverse to Manchester after collecting 6 and reversing to new coaches. |
LagosOrigin:APC supporter doubting security reports from an APC led government. The money don finish for your pocket? Wonders shall never cease. |
Crystal palace 3 - 0 Chelsea Arsenal 6 - 0 Manchester United |
SixSeven:If you are referring to Oba Oyekan, you must know that there’s a wide generational gap that would not let him do that. The rules once you got into the palace in the days of Oba Oyekan were very well enforced. Tradition was very sacred and well respected. He was a great King. Nowadays, there’s a trend where Kings take the throne to the people. They do not desecrate the throne. It is the citizens who make moths appear like anthills. Respect is never diminished. I am certain that Seyi Tinubu had a great relationship with Oba Akiolu, even long before he became an Oba. If you listen carefully to the Oba, you’ll find a strong and very personal relationship between Oba Akiolu and BAT. The families must be very close. Respect was and is not lost. That friendship was captured in that image. |
tutudesz:Why should he not be allowed? Why should they stop him from contesting, if he is eligible? Why tell him that he is not from the ruling house? Why did not tell him from when he grew up, so that he would know early enough and start looking for his own clan? If he is the best candidate, then he must become the King. |
Hopefully those teenaged and improperly educated youths on this forum, who have passed their SSC3 exams, can apply. Hopefully they would not close their eyes or ears. Hopefully also they can find the resources to purchase the forms. For those on this forum who keep repeating JAMB exams, they can continue with their efforts and hopefully succeed. |
yarimo:English is not so hard, watery beans and bread master. If you find it so difficult, I advise you to write in your language. You’ll definitely find same minded people who will understand what you say. |
I purchased an Itel power bank about seven months ago. I have not used that particular powerbank like others that I carry around more frequently. Recently I noticed that the power bank had swollen, apparently from the battery. Is Itel that bad as a product? |
abc115:Why did you bring PDP into it please? What happened to the eight years misgovernance and embezzlement years of APC under Buhari? So now you want to pretend that Buhari’s government did not say the same story about that road? Some of you APC supporters seem to be so bewitched, that you no longer know your left from your right. Una no kuku get small ssshammee. I am very certain that you are not from the SE and so have no information about events on that road, except what you see on social media spaces. What’s special about building with concrete? If you are asked which government originally built that road and how long it lasted before getting damaged, you can never have the idea. By the way, is it not the responsibility of government to provide such infrastructure, irrespective of party affiliation? If they say “government is a continuum”, is it not responsibility the government in power to carry out such assignments? |

Mrexcell:The children are definitely not autistic. The are very healthy and very well cared for. Once bitten, twice shy they say. The wife lost a very previous son, God blessed them with twice as reward. They chose to reduce their risks. The children are American and reside there, attending their school peacefully. The mama no get shame for face. Pastor David Ibiyomie once cured her of that insanity. He got her arrested, taken over to Port harcourt, speedily prosecuted and sent to prison. It took the intervention of many to get her off the grip of Ibiyomie. Since then, she never dated mentioned the man’s name. The same mama abused everyone, including her father. She can never be responsible. Even her children said so and more. |
MEGAWATCH:Yes I am. Are you not deeply tribalistic as your man, Reno? |
Eye service is his stock in trade. Moses is not a name and people bear it. What is a name? What’s the meaning of a name? If names, as we all know are means of identification, why does he bear the name Reno, just as others bear the name Moses? That guy has used eye service to confuse not just himself, but blind BAT(s), who follow him on social media spaces. He never makes sense. He has never contested a councillorship seat. All he does is to wait on the wings for others to take the risk, next he begins to praise sing them to get positions for himself. E no get shame as a man. That priest completely exposed once again, his ignorant arrogance and poor knowledge of historical information. |
Did he manage to get out of it? The hussling no be here. The battle to be a man no be here. After all the wahala, if he get money, the first thing na to go carry women up and down, wey no send an message before. |
ajalawole:First peace of mind. Many find peace, security and stability in India, just like they find in other countries. That’s what is paramount in the minds of those who venture out of the country and never want to return. They say, it is better to stay in Vietnam or any other country that offers them some peace and sanity, than Nigeria, where electricity is unstable, stress levels are too much. Outside the country, a much greater percentage of Nigerians do very honest work and business. The percentage that are involved in crimes are less than 3%. Unfortunately the crimes committed by this tiny percentage, are immediately forwarded to the press/social media and published worldwide. So largely Nigerians work good jobs and do good businesses to sustain themselves/families, there and back home. It is the business of the Nigerian government to make the country peaceful, safe, profitable and habitable for the citizens. Our healthcare facilities are not updated in a lot of areas and leaders who should fix them, travel abroad for their own health checks. Who wants to stay and suffer? Oya answer that. |
One wonders where the man found the confidence to say such make such pronouncement. The blame has shifted to water providers, instead of government? Governments are there to provide water to the people. That’s why they are elected, even though they bribe their ways to leadership positions, sadly. Those who go to equity must have clean hands. Everyday we are told about Iju water works, etc, as if water pipes cover the whole of Lagos. Is it not the responsibility of government to lay pipes state wide, ensuring first that water supplied from government sources are fit for human consumption? Our little next door neighbour, Republic of Benin, provides government water to all communities and cities. People are compulsorily to pay otherwise they get disconnected. Those who do not have it, construct wells in their backyards. While our government accuses table water providers, how have they overlooked people who source of water is the well in the backyard? Will they be sanctioned too? Or one does not have the right to drink the water that he can afford to get? Get to the whole of Lekki, Ajah and beyond and you’ll find terrible water. While water treatment in a lot of cases fail because of the heavy metals and acid levels in the water found there, the people who struggle there are threatened by government that has failed due diligence in the area. The same thing goes for those around Oyingbo area. While I acknowledge the irresponsibility and wickedness of some table water manufacturers, government on its own must ensure that they right the present wrong, by laying pipes statewide. It may be too expensive to carry out, but government can partner with private organizations, who are willing to invest in the water supply industry. |
Merhauli with the train station and a big lake, one very dirtiest part of New Delhi, with a good population of Nigerians living there. Streets gutters there are very black and dirty and similar to Nigerian black and dirty gutters. That place is similar to Ajegunle, Amukoko or Okokomaiko in Lagos. Meanwhile, there’s a huge population of Indians in Nigeria, working good jobs in the plastic, oil/gas/, pharmaceutical and other industries. They find Nigeria very attractive. Unfortunately no such opportunities exist in India. You cannot get jobs. Even setting up shops is very difficult. Even though more economically developed and very stable, Nigerians can do better than such criminal acts. |
DiamondsAreFore:Do you understand what it means by “a poor country”? Maybe you are playing boju boju. If Nigeria is not presently a world power, is Nigeria not rated a regional power? Do you know what it means by that? I wonder how some of you choose to address the country as poor when it suits you, and when others call Nigeria either a failed or poor country, you cry to the highest heavens. With such landmass, population, temperature, natural resources to be a super power, you add your voice to youths who have been brainwashed by irresponsible leaders to claim that the country is poor. That’s quite funny please. |
Zonefree:World champion less than five months ago. Struggling on 6th position in the league year presently. Should the world champion not be leading the league by now? My papa get am before na story. |
tonicyril:Yes. No be only mother in law, na mother our law. If you read her name, you’d not have made this comment. Your likes want women in that age to live their lives in wrappers and live in the villages pounding yam and fufu. It is her life, her choice and not yours. Life is to be lived to the fullest, irrespective of age. The woman is exceedingly beautiful, well dressed, shows her beauty and has beautiful children. |
QuinQ:If you do not understand what is talked about, please avoid making comments so that you do not keep embarrassing yourself like this. If you read my comment clearly in response to someone else, you’d not find any tribe mentioned there. There are traditional rulers all over the country. And by the way, you do not know Igbo history one over tenth of what I know. |
SpaceX:He’s very lucky the judge was very considerate of his status and declined to put him in prison. Surely he will look back at what he did and regret it so deeply. He will look his business, his throne and people back home. He will regret damaging his name over that amount of money which is not much, considering what he earns. He did not need to carry out any underhand deal. Hopefully Donald Trump will not come after him sometime in the future, as Trump is determined to remove convicted foreigners. By the way, traditional rulers have no business running their kingdoms from foreign countries. They should be removed without delay. |
Thedon22:Are you own garage boys not languishing in jails now? School you no go. SSS you no pass. Third class you no get. Shishi you do not have. Simply tell us how your oga removed poverty and hunger from Lagos, you have consistently evaded it. I am sure that you are having your apprenticeship in one motor park. Continue. Agodi dey wait for you. |
