The west has structured the world's system of things that way. As long as they gave us the education to acquire so called knowledge, for so long are we going to continue serving them.

Its for the same reason we have crude oil, but import petrol.
The same reason we have football stars and they always end us abroad.
The same reason we have have schools, but always end up abroad to upgrade our certification.
e.t.c.

That's the evolution of slavery. Things are deliberately set up to work that way and there's nothing anybody can do about it, until we change what we call education.
How exactly? Who is enslaving who? Which kind if education are you talking about?

I am sorry Sir.... But you can make that 38,001 coz of me too.

What do you expect when the best of where we can actually get advanced medical fellowships, residency education and research growth opportunities is beyond the shores of Nigeria and even Africa? What do you expect when our medical institutions are not equipped to battle the illnesses that plague a nation? What do you expect when our medical teams are not drilled enough to be research oriented and dynamically innovative in clinical care and practice? What do you expect when health, just like education, is not given its true place of importance in Nigeria? Don't they know that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation too?

What do you expect when the knowledge being taught and shared at the top echelons in the medical community within Nigeria is not as updated as you will find outside the African shores in the US, UK, Australia, Sweden and even Canada? What do you expect when mediocrity has become the norm among many Nigerian medical institutions today in terms of teaching and some others?

Look, If you want to be the best in terms of global standards, then one must train with the best and learn from the best to be able to stand on the shoulders of giants someday and maybe bring a good part of that learning experience and expertise home to Nigeria. And where exactly is the best? Sadly it is in the western world a small part of the eastern with the likes of The US, Sweden, Australia, Canada, UK, Germany, China PR, Etc leading the way

But is Nigeria ready for a true medical revolution? Where the conventional gives way for the unconventional? Selah.
I am number 30234 for the 38000 grin

While I agree with you completely, There is still one little snag..Our judiciary system is not blind most times, it can see and take sides with powerful people.
And this exactly why the system seems not to be working. The judiciary system that should be the common man's succour doesn't dispense justice correctly, and also how many times does the government even obeys its own courts especially i the aspect of damages? If a state government refuses, what is the measure in place to check it?

I love what you just said now. It implies you are well connected. How many people in Nigeria do you think affords the privilege you just stated?
.0000002%. Most people dont, so dont you use what applies to you to generalise for the whole public. Do you know how long my aunt has been fighting to get her gratuity from Abia state after they were unduly retrenched and cut by T. A. Orji? they have gone to NGOs, the popular Brekete fm in Abuja, being taking to a lot of top offices in Abuja, been promised the world, but have not received a kobo since they have been fighting for going to 5 years.
Maybe your Uncle or your connection can help too, if you feel it is high enough and i tell you U, I am serious.
correctguy101:
Okay. But do you know if I happen to be in trouble, I can get former Lagos State Police commissioner, a relative in a private chat on his private line? Though I barely use that link for in as much as rough as I could be, I don't get myself in troubles, infact, I avoid the avoidable.

Not only him. I'm sure I have people I could talk with if I'm cheated off my sweat. I would be paid no matter what if any government man tries to cheat me.

And I believe everyone else can be paid too if they go through the courts and with substantial proof. Any charge and bail lawyer could accept the case and fight for you if you strike a good deal in the case your rights as a citizen are respected ( that would now be the issue in court, u don't know what lawyers can do with the right motivation). Or you think the Ikoyi gate lawyer is being paid now?.

I'm already tired of discussing the matter. I'll only ask you to please demand vehemently that your rights be respected.

Her life, her choices. But don't tell me that after starring in those flicks she didn't make enough money for people to start donating for her remains to be brought home. If that is so, she shouldn't have ventured into porn then.

I don't know if you understand what I wrote there. I will only tell you that it makes sense to people who won't let themselves be cheated. I don't mean it must be 5m but he would surely get more than what he's owed.(I no even understand why I dey explain this to you, you too slow for head aswear)

If you're in Lagos State, you might have heard of the Igbo man that sued the state over environmental laws that caused him. Wasn't he paid?

My friend, I have a barrister as a family friend and the Nigerian police paid on a case his firm handled. I was at court when a young lawyer from his firm handled the case. It's my grandpa that insist I must follow him to court most times. That was some years back.

If you do business with a firm or government parastatal and you're treated badly. accept it and keep shut not knowing someone inside has taken your sweat. Without sueing them, they won't do their due diligence to find out what happened, that's Nigeria for you but when you do, books and books will bring out what really happened but it's not your concern. Your concern is you getting what you want.

So dey kip kwayet dey go make Dem dey chance you because na Nigeria we dey, e no fit happen except na Yankee blah blah blah... na you sabi. undecided
Noted. But permit me to say that that's an exception rather than d norm

You're wise bro, more wisdom to you....

You're right, we basically can't help him more than talk about it on the net. The man is plain bold and silly.

Maybe he's of the mind that he needs huge sums to fight a Goliath like Okorocha. Education and information are somehow same but different.
The guy isn't informed else he would have done exactly as you stated here even after trending online like this.

That NGN 900k can get him NGN 5million if he plays his card right. Activists full town na or I'm making a mistake?

Sure the statue building fool already..
How many people exactly has 900k got 5million? How many activist don get money from government? How many retirees don die waiting for government after several protest and courts?
My friend, stop yarning trash.

There is a reason I came up with my premise , I dont believe a young girl of her age with a bubbly immune system will get septic and bow to to flesh sepsis in 10 days most if which was spent in a hospital where a cocktail of anti tet and antibiotics could have provided sufficient prophylaxy cover to stem any infection..I have come across a daggers and horns that have been poisoned through diabolic means ( i dont know how they do it) and if anyone is stabbed with such a dagger or horn the flesh wound quickly bow to necrosis and rot then the victim bows to toxic shock .
You hit it rightly. I was wondering cos antibiotics, wound management should have pushed her through it...

Why would she die from a stab wound days later? This is so bad. It is screaming negligence for me if she was taken to a hospital early enough (which on second thought, I don't think so). Proper wound management and antibiotics should have pulled her through. lipsrsealed cry huh

what about the father ? what makes you guys feels that fathers do not love there children, its just that men generally do not know how to express love, but they may even love more than the women, for me i know my both parents loved me, had different ways of expressing it, in this instance the mother rolled on the ground, while the father gave the boy a gun salute.
True. In fact, my father cried the day I was leaving for the US, because he knew we wouldn't see again till at least after 2-3 years. I spoke with him yesterday, he said he was much adjusted. Momma thanked me for the frequent calls I do make. Hoping to buy them a good Android phone for video calling sometime Janiary-February
