Music BusinessRe: Naijanoize.com (buy The Illest Beats Online @ The Cheapest Rates Ever) by ElRazur: 9:59am On Apr 08, 2009
Just checked it out and while the website is fairly basic in design and lay out, it is very simple and effective. smiley

I like the "head nod shit" and will rate it as the best on show, with "Gbedu" and "Erama" following respectively.

The bass line/Synth sound in "Head nod shit" and "Gbedu" are fairly similar. This may not be ideal for customers who are picky about their track, as they want distinct "sound signature". Perhaps you can do a few changes so as to vary the sound? Just a thought.

I also checked out the FAQ. I thought it is very well explained as simple as one can. However, it may be worth it that you need to build a bit of "Consumer trust" if you want people paying money into your account. I suppose you can do this by having a section where previous customers can leave comments. It will at least show a bit of transparency.

What am about to say may not be applicable in Nigeria, but it will be nice if new generation of producers help maintain certain standards. While you maintain that the tracks are exclusive to the buyer - A binding contract me need to be drawn to the effect of this, so as to avoid future "palaver". Also, while you need to let your consumers know if the samples [if any] you used are royalty free. For example, I think Fruity Loops own all the rights to their sound, even after you buy the software.

Overall, your website is doing what it is suppose to do and put you "out there". Good luck in everything you do. smiley

It is considered one of the best so far. Check out Amazon website for customer's review.

I am contemplating on buying on today from Digital Village [UK]. If I end up buying one, then I will give you guys a feed back.

It should be noted however, that you will need a very good Sound card - I am running an M-Audio 24/96 delta series. So, hopefully there shouldn't be any problem.

If you are considering buying one, it may hep if you post your system capabilities here. I.e Ram, processing power etc.

for starters you don't sing hip hop! you rap hip hop!
It is worth knowing one's fact, before attempting to correct others. Yes you do "sing hiphop" a few prominent artist actually do that for a living. Nate dogg sings hiphop. Nelly style of rapping is considered as singing! Akon sings hiphop [no he is not an RnB artist, but RnG: Rhythm and Gangsta].

The genre of those who sing hiphop actually exist, but I cant remember the name from the top of my head.

Hey once constructive criticism here. No need to keep saying "check us out" "Holler at us". You really need to post a few of your work. Personally, I am not feeling the artist you posted - I am just not feeling the beat.

If you want to put your business out there, then people really need to see some more samples or snippets of your beats.

By the way, it would be nice to tell us what stuff you use. If your studio is up to industry standards etc. smiley

Newt Gingrich said he would have disabled the missile . . . the radical right makes me laugh . . . this morning they were moaning on Fox that Obama called America dismissive and arrogant to Europe . . . where have they been since? Living in cuckoo land i guess.

Its high time the US gave up its role as the world's policeman . . . let Russia or China carry the can for once.
It is very easy to conjure up blames and negativity about people. A lot of people seem very good at it on this forums, in fact, it is safe to say that some have become experts at moaning and offering negative views on certain things.

Can you for one second imagine a world where Russia or China are the "world police"! Heaven forbids!!

The point is, I will rather have the US as the "world police" than the options of those nations you mentioned.

Only in a non-conventional (nuclear) face-off - a very unlikely scenario as the US must exercise restraint in a world where China and Russia have been waiting for over six decades to see if the US will again use the nuclear option. Any conventional (non-nuclear) face-off with the US will likely result in American victory, but at a cost to the Americans that will make the Iraq fiasco look like the prom.
I am not following your point here. China and Russia have little or no interest economically, politically, etc in NK. Everyone knows that a nuclear war will result in a lot of casualty on both sides.

As for China and Russia waiting 6 decades, I really do not see where you are going with that point.

To take all the possible scenarios into consideration, I still believe that it will be silly of NK and at a very expensive cost to even consider crossing the part of the US.
EntertainmentRe: I Want To Be A Presenter by ElRazur: 10:17am On Apr 06, 2009
I dunno what the courses are in Nigeria. You may need to have a solid degree, maybe something in Mass communication? Or better still, a degree that allows you to work across the field. Most of Tv presenter "learn the art of presenting" without studying much of it during their time in uni.

Make a tape of yourself presenting something and send it to the Tv stations with your C.V may be an idea. Good luck.

People tend to forget that. Also thanks to what some will perceive as "bad America's foreign policy", the President is obviously a target for several groups and people around the world. smiley

During the Clinton era, I worked in an art gallery where Clinton paid a visit. His men took control of everything and talked to our security men like they are running kindergarten. Also a few people where vetted to work on that day. Those men who look after him just have "shot and ask questions later" written all over them. Having said that, they look professional but with a hint of "Assassin mode" on their faces. smiley

For weeks Japan and the US has been warning it will shoot down any NK rocket, well I just heard on the news it  flew over Japan and they did jack,  NK has mighty China behind it.NK has just proved it has long range missile able to reach the shores of America. To put NK in the mold of say Afghanistan and Iraq is at best naive.
No action was needed for a missile that crashed into the ocean as claimed by the US and Japan. It makes sense not to waste effort shooting down such missile. It is generally accepted it was a failed launch all over the world. Surely, you must have heard of this in the news?

China have her own population problems and it needs to keep the flow of immigrants in check. Hence one of the main reason China is NK "only friend".

The US spent what will feed about 20 3rd world nations on its military budget and research alone. It will be stupid of NK to cross the path of the US. The only thing Kim can do is just play and act up like he's been doing over the years.
Foreign AffairsRe: North Korea Has Finally Lauched The Rocket by ElRazur: 8:29am On Apr 05, 2009
NK is a dying nation with an attention seeking President. I pity the poor souls who have endured him this long. Japan and US are on stand-by to shot down any missiles that may cross over Japan.

Even if this goes out as an all out war, it will be finish before it started. NK have little or nothing to defend herself if a war should happen.
Nairaland GeneralRe: (Becomrrich) - What can you say about this Nairalander??? by ElRazur: 8:43am On Apr 04, 2009
This is not even a topic as far as am concerned. People around here tend to forget that this is the internet. An avenue that was only until recently become available to the masses of the 3rd world nations. It should be noted that, as with anything it is human nature to bring in a few "controversy" in to it.

What am saying is that, the internet allows anyone to become what they want. I can tell you I have a 20 Lamborghinis and paint a picture of myself here as one of the craziest, richest, poorest, or funniest people here if I want to. It is the internet and as such, I can get away with it.

People just need to realise that it is the internet and as such, not to take everything with all seriousness. smiley

It appears that this "Comfort" and co, like to engage in debate by the look of things. However, it is safe to say that by observing their post history, they probably lack the necessary tool to communicate effectively, and instead will reply via using smileys/emoticon and a few phrases. This sort of make up for their lack of ability to communicate on a forum.

Also, their [Comfort and co] post history, will suggest they enjoy the attention - Whether it is in form of a drama over what they posted, or a direct insult to them. They just see it as attention and nothing wrong with it in their eye. Overall, it is safe to assume that they are "Mute individuals", whose communication skills are questionable and love attention seeking on a forum.

As for the mods doing something on this forum, I personally believe, the mods are doing little or no job at all. Rarely do you see "spams" deleted in my opinion. More people are needed to help moderate this forum, but so far it is not happening right now.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Controversy - Mrs Michelle Obama Touches The Queen @ G-20 Summit In ! by ElRazur: 8:19am On Apr 04, 2009
As part of the etiquette of meeting the Queen of England, one is not allowed to put their hand on her. The people meeting the queen normally have a brief on the dos and dont's etc. What Michelle did aint a big issue and as far as the media here concerned, it wasn't blown out of proportion.

I saw the "incident" and I thought it was nothing, the both held each other and it only lasted a few seconds or so. Don't forget that some media forms like daily newspaper may however put a spin on it to maximise their profit.

Hello Folks,

help me deal with a problem i have had for a long time. it is a personality problem. i find it difficult to make friends, always keeping to my self and also  in a state of fear. i am tired  and want change. your honest suggestion will be appreciated.
The way to deal with issues like this to first identify what exactly is the problem -What is your fear? what are you afraid off? what stops you from taking that step?. If you can identify this, then it become much easier to deal with the issues. It also helps who ever is offering you an advice - e.g Me - as to what best of action to take.

You mentioned it that is is a long term problem. From the the way I see it, there must have been a trigger for it or an underlying cause. Also, one need to know what your age is etc in other to know where and what to decide.

From the bit off information you have posted, I can only offer the following advice: Ask yourself, why do you keep to your self? Have you ever tried to make friends before, if yes, how did it go? Was it a disaster etc?

If you are in a constant state of fear, what exactly is bringing you these fearful and fright episode? Is only when you are about to make friends etc? The good news is that, the mere fact that you can come out to talk about it here, then you are taking the right steps to sort it out.

Unless I know you better or if you post some more stuff, then it will be hard for me to give you a thorough advise. If you wanna talk on a one on one via msn messenger or yahoo chat, then am available. smiley

For what it is worth, Obama is not a black person. Calling him a black person is an insult to his White heritage. He is more or less a new generation of African-American. He is not a black man.

I just thought, I should point this out. I expect a few people to go crazy over this, but I stand by my point. smiley

Its obvious that you are one of the Obama worshippers.

Come on now dude. You are really going for this one ain't you? I am not pro-Obama or anti-Barack. I am merely countering your points and pointing out the flaws in them. Surely you should see what is wrong with your post? First you claim he is a muslim, then make a big deal out of paying homage to a king and when I point this out, you accused me of being pro-Obama.

I am going to level with you and ask you to please explain to me as to how Obama and Bush are the same. Before you start, giving me your  explanation. I need you to remember that, one of the reasons Obama won is down to his team being able to tap into the medium of publicity, media, internet etc that played a crucial part in his intensive campaing that was never seen before on that scale.

Restructure capitalism as it is fundamentally flawed.

Regulate banking more, so as not to take unnecessary risk.

For developing nations like Nigeria: I will say we need to diversify more in terms of what our main economic income are. There is too much reliance on oil at the moment. Imagine what will happen if we are to run out! Nigeria will probably be another Somalia or something.

Developed nations need to wean off some of their dependence on China etc.

Morals need to be consider when making some business principles that will affect a lot of people.

I am not trying to abuse Islam here.

My point is that Obama is a Muslim who hid his religion just to get elected.

And besides religion, another reason is Oil, Oil , Oil.

Basically they are all the same - Bush, Obama et al
Dude your arguments or should I say explanations are getting weaker. An image of Obama paying customary homage to a King is not an evidence of his religion. Obama is not a Muslim, this have been established several times. What more do people like you want?

You seem to be missing the obvious fact that Oil is one of the driving forces in our world today. While Obama may not have been elected solely for oil, it will stupid of him and his allies not to have some sort of plan for it. In his defence, he is encouraging alternative energy you know.

To compare Obama and Bush in the same sentence just goes further to show how weak in my opinion, your explanations and points are.

Tell me you are kidding? Okay Obama is a muslim, Well let us assume that for a second. Let us consider ourselves lucky that he appears to have simple common sense that eludes most politician.

I think you need to understand that he is only doing the customary thing. Imagine if Gordon Brown prostrates [correct spelling??] for one of the Big Kings of Yoruba states, it do not in anyway mean he is "bigger" than Gordon. He is merely doing it as observing the culture and tradition.

I guess some people just like to post non-sense just for the sake of it.
