FERMA may not achieve the best but surely they will achieve some measures of repairs enough to prevent needless mishaps during the Yuletide... Good one mr president. |
acidtalk: It is extremely obvious Jonathan doesn't mean well for this country.Guy, you are only best at what you just did, CRITICISE with sentiment. You should have paused to confirm the veracity of the post before exhibiting your usual self. |
In a letter of resignation dated Wednesday, October 31 2012, Mr Ekere said he was resigning on personal grounds. He thanked the Governor and the good people of the state for the opportunity given him to serve the state in the last 17 months. This people should stop taking us for a ride and tell us exactly what happened. I watched the commisioning of the new government house complex and the foundation laying of the new Olympic size stadium being built by the AKS government and I can tell that man wasn't at his best... Investigative journalism should do this job for Nigerians. |

Louis88: So you see my point now,Suswam could have done better, especially in the Agricutural sector,if I was the governor of benue state,in just two years other states will be coming to borrow money from me,I would so triple my IGR through agriculture but Suswam has not done any of these,,instead he will stay there and be waiting for the FG to come and carry him on its back as its baby.let him not see Kwara and Plateau and even Niger sef.nobody said e has not worked, don't misunderstand me,he has,but he could have done more.and something else, this is actually the first time something like this is happening in Nigeria, with all the townhall meetings included,at least we now get to see what they said they have done and then we get to ask questions and criticize them openly and tell them if we are satisfied with their performances or not,we now get to score them based on first hand information and awareness of all their projects, this is Democracy beign ingrained and the tradition of asking questions of our leaders and the attitude of us overseeing these their projects ourselves beign introduced.Gov Suswan has not impressed me . I rated him above what I can see for myself, sincerely.. He's in the class of the core northern governors who lack in initiative and believe that FG should be responsible for capital projects why they pay staff's salary. I listened to him respond to questions raised and he was trying to shift responsibility, accusing the FG govt of not showing enough dedication to the state as if Benue was above every other state of the federations in priority. Akpabio, Oshiomohle, Amaechi and co have at a point had to repair federal roads that are of economic importance to their states why federal government makes the refund, so what are our state governors doing with their allocations if FG must do everything. Suswan should meet JONA JAng for a blueprint if he lacks initiatives |
The members of that committee do not look like men you can easily manipulate but this claim has gone to give some credence to Diezani's position on the draft document. I won't join issues to rebut or support claims or counter claims of surreptitious motive by the minister but one question we must ask as a rational people is the motive behind the leak of a report that has not been finalized? What is the person aiming to achieve? Is it blackmail, propaganda or cheap political point? We are civilized and should act as such because this cowardly action negates the rule of engagement. |
Big lie!!... Why is the OP being mischievous? |
magic cheche: my brother i share same opinion with you o! i will never die if dont visit US. ![]() |
Fixing the right pegs in their right holes.. Why the obsession with Diezani Allison? Is Rilwan Lukeman better? Let me sing Edna's jealousy. .."jealousy, jealousyyyy!!! is the room of hatred." |
Can someone tell Suswan to shut the heck up? Tactically blaming his non performers on Federal government. FG should renovate and build new roads , schools for you or develop your agricultural produce?.Ain't you in the same zone with JONA Jang, Abdul Fatai and Babaginda Aliu? You have got to seat up and stop expecting help where you may never find it. The FG has its cross to carry.. |
I can't wait to compare Fashola vs Akpabio, Amaechi vs Oshiomohle , Ajimobi vs Sule Lamido etc.. An end is coming to propaganda... We shall see things live with our naked eyes. |
diva_tosin: From all indications, Benue state govt recorded the least in achievements so far. I wonder what Suswam is doing rather than showing off himself and forming fine boyTrue talk. I noticed same. If I am asked, I think Plateau is the best so far followed by Kwara . |
What I love about this tour is the courage the information minister has in admitting areas of failed projects. He made mentioned of a road project awarded years five years ago with the contractors handling the project drag footing and the subsequent revocation and rewarding of such contracts. The new contractor has no choice than to be serious. In all, this tour has more benefits than harm, so cynics can hug transformer. I love the blunt questions being thrown at the governors. |
Chei ! Bad belle full this Nland sha. If this thread was a bad news about Jonathan or Suswan,it woud have Gotten to page 10 since.... Poo |
Hold it there! That woman has got something in the kitty, she should just confess and save us of too much talk!, |
Cbourne: my very uninformed buddy,i know what a freudian slip is{perhaps, more than you do}i know its parapraxis{seriously doubt if you have heard it before }what i don't know its how you came about 'frodian',and rather than taking my sarcasm in good faith, you are here blabbing what is not,and by the way,the name is SIGMUND FREUD not PROF.FREUDIAN...OTONDO[dumb much]Because you have been fortunate to gain #2 of a knowledge about Sigmud Freud theories doesn't give you the right to such an insolence. I knew you were aiming at fooling yourself at the spelling why i had the correct spelling and parenthesized the Frodian.. May I ask you which other knowledge you have I psychology? Imbecileee |
This lackluster governor should keep quiet instead of further exposing his corrupt deeds. PM news will not just make such a bold publication if something had not gone wrong somewhere. Instead of focusing on how to redeem his administration from the jaw of ineptitude and non performers, he takes delight in squandering tax payers money for an exercise in futility. |
PapaBrowne: Something is happening in Nigeria.I simply love this president. Call him Reterdem or clueless it doesn't change the facts that he has achieved what several leaders combined couldn't .. Go JONA, go Ebele , go Goodluck till 2019 |
The same woman along side the speaker of their state assembly organized a gangaroo seminar for the wives of the state legislators on how to secure their husbands from their preying Yoruba ladies e.g ibidapo Obe and Lola Alao in London, where several hundreds of millions were voted.. But are we surprise? she is busy working for her husband... They need save more money to bribe Tinubu for second term ticket : ![]() |
Cbourne: all-knowing elueme, what does 'frodian' mean?otondoIt is a term in psychology.. Prof Freudian was one of the greatest psychologists who made great contributions to the study of psychology.. Freudian ( Frodian) slip is the inadvertent expression of the subconscious mind in place of the real situation. It's a common phenomenon in speech making.. Olodo! |
Wow! This is looking beautiful, I love the neatness of this water project site. Plateau was impressive, let me see how Benue goes. |
Chanchit: Please did anybody watched GEJ's acceptance speech in Liberia.Shut up my friend and engage us in meaningful discussion. Frodian slip is normal, moreover, he spontaneously corrected himself, so what the heck are you trying to raise. Ain't you tired of throwing insults at your president? |
Nigeria has failed me but I can't forever count my losses, however, for my criticisms to be worthwhile I have made tremendous investments to the development of this country why I got the temerity to oppose people who CRITICISE out of sentiment. I started my quest to impact my society from my university days @ UNIBEN by belonging to one of the strongest political force to address social injustice and politics of divide and rule. As trivial as student unionism, it could be very complex and delicate but some chose to pay the price why I have so much respect for some of my leaders till today. After my graduation, I became a volunteer in the delivery of free medical care which included free consultation, treatment and surgery to several thousands of impoverished and marginalized Niger deltans via an NGO by the name HMI/ AM project. One of the daring exercise we undertook was during the amnesty period for ex-militants where I was involved in the medical screening of these my freedom fighters( though some fought for their pockets) at the amnesty camp in Obubra, cross river state. As someone who has sworn and dedicated his life to the service of humanity, I was able to identify a very serious need in the state where I did my NYSC, in middle belt Nigeria, where i builtand donated an health clinic to a community after 28 years of fruitless effort by the local indigenes. It beats my imagination how irresponsible the govt in this locality can be. I was very much involved in the development of rural health in the state that my colleagues and I embarked on free medical and surgical out reaches in over 8 communities in 8 different local govt of the state, though fully sponsored by the state govt. I took it upon myself to renovate and provided basic facilities to another health clinic in the same local government as well other minor humanitarian works I did. Presently, I am working on establishing my own health NGO as well furthering my education in one of the best universities in the world. Despite the failure of government, let's endeavor to affect lives when we can. You may not go out of your way but there are things you can do without bleeding yourself so much. |
"According to CACOL boss, the submission of the report through the ministry is an ambush, and a way of killing the report. Similarly, the Executive Director, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, Mr. Adetokunbo Mumuni, told SUNDAY PUNCH that the Federal Government’s attitude to the Ribadu report was condemnable and spoke volumes. He said, “It is worrisome that the government sets up committees and commissions of enquiry, only to dump their reports after damning discoveries have been made. We hope the Ribadu committee report is considered and its recommendations implemented. “Those who set up the committee should have the political will to flush out the minister in charge and other indicted persons or organisations.” The Deputy President, NLC, Promise Adewusi, also said, “We have not had the privilege of reading the full report to establish the culpability of any person. But we have always been against persons being judges in their own cases. “Since the excerpts of the report as published allege that some of the shady deals took place under her supervision, we insist that she is the wrong person to set up a committee to review the Ribadu report as this is tantamount to being a judge in her own case. “We call on the presidency and the legislature to take immediate steps to establish the veracity of the report and bring all culpable parties to book" At this juncture, i will say it beats me hollow to see that our civil society groups have been reduced to common agents to be used to settle political scores. This call is not only precocious but arrant nonsense and insubordination. First, under which ministry was the committee constituted and under which ministry should the report be submitted? Secondly, when was the report made available that SERAP is now talking of attitude? The first time i heard of that report was last week meaning the report was officially available last week or a little longer, so why is SERAP talking about attitude and government dumping a report that barely just came out ? and thanks for acknowledging the political will of govt setting up the committee. Since mr Adewusi himself was truthful enough to acknowledge the failure of labour to study the report, how did he come to the term that Madueke Alison was going to be a judge in her own case when nothing has indicted her? Or made her culpable unless someone is telling me that the ribadu committee was set up to probe the activities of the minister of petroleum? We want Nigeria to move forward why it will be impressed on everybody to shun sentiments and focus on real issues. This lady has been under attacks for too long as everything is systematically turned to be against her. We understand that the position she occupies is the most lucrative so many forces would want her job which could explain some of these propaganda but for civil society groups to be used as a bath for this unholy move speaks volumes but Jonathan is not a fool. |
SMH 4 Arsenal... |
Was Reno the only one whose avatar tweeted RIP? Before reno's tweet, several of such tweets had emanated from NigeriaNewsdesk, Dino melaye , el Rufai and so many other tweeter voltrons. @ op, there is nothing special about reno's tweet compare with others. Everybody goofed but we thank God the story is different. |
I simply love this lady and don't get my intention twisted. She has got guts, she is smart, brimming in ideas and above all ambitious.. She is not looking lazy as most folks who were born into wealth will look. She knew life wasn't fair, her dad was murdered and the family wealth unevenly distributed so she's taking the bull by the horn and calving her on niche.. I wish you well Dupsy |
I have followed this thread since yesterday. Before this moment i had taken most comments on NL as political but it seems I was wrong as many people are writhing in raw hatred for anything good.. They are black minds, possessed with the spirit of witches and wizards why they will never be happy seeing people who are happy because they want everyone to be a sadist as they are.. But Holy Ghost fireeeeeeeeee! |
SELFWORTH: You are right poster but how many of them have families? A lot of the haters on NL appear to be from the gutter judging from their postings so they cannot appreciate simple things like this.I think you guys are devoting too much attention to these low lifers. I concur with the bolded. |
I pray he survives this calamity. Sure, some hard lessons will be learnt . |
Sentiment aside, to hell with partisanship, JONA Jang has performed beyond what I would have personally expected from him considering the insecurity in the plateau.. With tlittle resources, unstable security the man rose above board. TRULY THERE ARE SOME UNSONG HEROES IN NIGERIA. |
