Pukkah: Honestly, you guys should know there is a time for everything. You should be the one apologizing for not reading in between the lines.. I am not the president's spokesman, neither I mine in any media team or have any link to government, but what is truth should be stood for.. I listened to mr president's speech on both occasion ( Nigeria prays n the national broadcast) and I ll still state categorically that the president didn't and never said Nigeria has improved on TI lists of countries on corruption but rather he quoted TI 's acknowledgement of a reinvigorated efforts and ended it by saying "we have to wait for the new rating if the country would move up the ladder." but ACN and other political opportunists have been capping on this which to me is a question of perception and interpretation.. Moreover, well acknowledge business dailies made such a report which govt officials quoted from. Are you now telling me that we should stop believing our national dailies.. You will agree with me that a lot of things are being blown out of proportion.. Excessive and irresponsible criticisms are not what the country needs at the moment. |
Talk is cheap, keep talking till, your saliva runs dry. First, this topic is mischievous, it is a very big lie the way it is presented sensationally and very misleading. Secondly, the presidency never said that Nigeria is 2nd to America in the ratings of countries with improved corruption indices however, what the president said and which was based on a pure fact was that Nigeria is ranked second to the US amonged countries who have reinvigorated efforts at reducing the corruption menace( it's left for TI to tell if that effort is improving in the fight or not). He ( GEJ) went further to state ( during the interdenominational thanksgiving service) that the country awaits a new rating from transparency international to see if this will reflect on the country's position. These words are sharp contrast to what political jobbers in the opposition are preaching.. These jobbers thinking that most Nigerians won't think had twisted the president's statement to mean that GEJ said that Nigeria is 2nd to the U S in the fight against corruption .. These are different statement aparts and it will take good understanding of English language to decipher. |
Demdem: Me think Okupe the dog should first return both benue and Imo state money he stole. After then, we will start listening to him.Why don't you prove your case beyond nairaland forum in a competent court? Till then, you are only making false accusations |
I don't discuss an attention seeker and an opportunist.. Omojuwa is a perfect example of both adjectives.. May God help him in his chosen career.. |
Nigera@52 has done greatly.. Surviving the civil war, coming out of several years of military misrule to a democratic dispensation and our still coexistence despite many intrigues to distabilise her entity are worth applauding. I won't join the fray of comparison. Be it with Singapore or any other nation. The course and destiny of nations varies and the factors enhancing and militating against individual nations are not same across boards. In as much as I agree that the nation ought to have made more progress at this stage of her existence, I must also acknowledge that we are not where we used to be 13 years ago.. Democracy is advancing, electorate awareness and electoral system cleansing is increasing, the economy is gradually growing, a lot of reforms are ongoing, corruption is on the decline( cross checks your facts, just recently the Transp intl commented on the countries drive to fight this menace as second to the US), more people are learning to understand how to draw the line between religion and reality so I foresee more tolerance and peaceful coexistence etc... You may choose to believe anything about the country but in my little assessment, there is hope and the framework for a greater economic emancipation has been laid |
Billyonaire: Its a shame that an issue of Civil Liberty has turned into tribal e-warfare in Nairaland. There is no civil bylaw that empowers any State Government in Nigeria to deport fellow Nigerians, even destitute into another state. I think Fashola is in denial because he knows its an illegal act, infact, it is the reason it was carried out in the night. It is not the first time the agents of Lagos State has done this, there is record on this Nairaland archives where people were deported to Ogun State. That being said, we need to also understand that the Lagos State is not Yoruba State, its a Cosmopolitan State with stake-holdings by Nigerians and Foreigners of all extraction. No single tribe owns or will ever own Lagos, because it is not possible to own Lagos. The rich should learn to live side by side with the poor, because without the poor, we will have no cleaners, gardeners and drivers. The Cosmic Energy created a free world, Humans decided to build borders. This is against the laws of Nature.Well said.. I have said this relentlessly that Lagos may be in the south West but the success story of Lagos was built by many ranging from FG to private individuals from different works of life. Without Lagos, the South West is economically dead.. In essence, the Yorubas need imbibe the economic diversities of the ibos and the Hausas rather than glorying on Lagos which more than 70% of investment are products of non-Yorubas |
tonididdy: BUT then ask yourselves,''from what parties are these worst governors''?...look @ edo state during pdp reigns and compare with ac's reign under the talk-and-do governor...wise up nigerians vote for Action Congress candidates.i'm an edo state indigene and resider and beleive it or not- edo mechanics are complaining, they so work is slow cos no more bad roads...edo state, lagos state are testimonies of the good inttentions of the action congress partyShut up there.. Are you more Edo than i? And what were your contribution to the struggle?did you even vote in the Oshomohle Osunbor election.. You just talk ttrash.. So unfortunate that a single eyed man is regarded as king in the land ofthe blind.. Oshiomohle is trying cos am a realist.. I know about the resources accruing the state and the lwvwl ol f degradation Lucky Igbinedion took the state through but I still think Oshiomohle has under performed if I should relate with the level of hope he raised during the electioneering campaign.. Same thing Akeredolu is doing now. He is busy promising light rails as if that is the immediate need of ondo State... Instead of giving basic realistic manifestos, he's busy building castles in the air |
He looks like a lover of peace. Very much unlike the others... May God grant him rest |
acidosis™:Where are you running to? Time to defend your state and your people , you want to run to Lagos.. So Na here the whole talk end? ![]() |
Amebo news agency at it again..I have stopped believing you... You will serve us better by properly channelling your investigative journalism... This is not to say I subscribe to wreckless spending but Sahara SHOPRITE of lies has made gossips out of some Nairalanders |
Rossikk: Wow.. I see many christians are dodging this thread. They were very quick to jump on the Saudi debacle. When will your likes develop brains?what's the relatioinship between Christianity and Judaism ? And can't you fathom that they are deporting Muslim Africans or Sudan and others mean Nigeria and south Africa .. Grow up bro |
Am watching the game with no expectation.. Though the little boy in me tells me Arsenal will win. |
Pls, wait o, am in a limbo here. I thought Sahara Shoprite of lies diagnosed her of neurodegenerative disease, parkinsonism in particular, just yesterday? A patient on admission, manifesting with symptoms of parkinson's disease may not come home soon. Sahara reports, I hail o |
Pukkah: She's been away for 34 days. She is fit now.you are the one allowing yourself to be distracted. After any major surgery or illness, it is medically advised that patients pass through a convalescent period, during which sufficient rest is advocated for the body internal mileu to readjust.. Medical personnel are even stricter on this when the patient is a VIP becos no hosp wants her name in the mud by hasty discharge or release of patients because of medicolegal litigations.. This is why the hosp turned down her request of going with her husband to Newyork |
Ile-Ife:well said.. You did a good job dissecting his posts. Unfortunately he can't communicate in good English |
' He is having security challenge from the North and the South-west is crying of marginalisation and yet, he isn’t doing anything. But the comments have always been that the South-west didn’t vote for PDP? But should that be the reason? Didn’t they vote for him? Who are the people that made it possible for him to even become acting president in the first place? If that is the position, it is rather unfortunate.' I shake my head when I see a supposed well learned man beat the tribal drum. This tribal gingoist and sentiment is very precocious of akintola... Yorubas feeling marginalized today was orchestrated by the greed of the person he(Akintola) has summarily adored in his interview.. We are not bereft of history and it's still fresh in our memory how Tinubu and ACN lawmakers mobilised for Tambuwal in a political chess to scuttle the PDP arrangement for a Yoruba lady speaker. Akintola should be corrigible to apportion his blames rightly and leave our president out of his misery. |
acidtalk: Maku is a Naturally careless talker he will definitely repeat the same thing.. You will surely grow white hair waiting on that apology... Maku was in order by the purported apology.. Of what use will bickering between him and the senators do him or Nigerians? At times you stoop low to conquer.. |
Pataki: When our foolish president cannot explicitly state what is wrong with his wife to the people who voted him in, please allow all sorts of medical reports to be stated about her.I will not take you on the name calling because you probably might have inherited foolishness from a foolish father but what you must understand is patients's bill of rights in situations of I'll health.. Patient Jonathan reserves the prerogative right to make her health status known or not. She's not answerable to anybody because she is not a public property as the husband.. Maybe I remind you that she was never elected and her office has no constitutional provision.. Any benefit she does enjoy could be classed as fringed benefits which are normal in any society.. So you and your cohorts who daily relies on Sahara rumor network should get that |
acidtalk: How else can one be suffering and still embracing the person making you suffer?....and you shouldn't be too sure that the lady does not represent Osun State. She's only telling the electorate to write the wrong of ACN govt by enthroning PDP come 2015. |
Bo-large:Amen. |
musKeeto: I hope he returns with her body in a casketAm sorry, you may just die before her but pray that the cup should pass over you.. How careless could a man be to utter this errant rubbish in a public forum like this.. This is beyond wickedness , childishness is a factor as well. Your likes tell a lot that I possibly throw banters with some juvenile delinquent kids. |
These noise makers should act fast!.. Too many talks , little actions. |
We talk of an abusive husband but what do we have to say about a nagging wife? Some women because of their level of education or placement in society take their men as a colleague they wanna argue with at will.. Some nag over every little thing... In as much as I don't belong to the school of thought of women being timidly submissive in their matrimonial homes, it is pertinent to also state that our society has core values which our ancestors bequeathed and it is important we protect these values despite increasing civilization.. African ladies should take a cue from some of their contemporaries who have made great families inspite of their high profile lives, they would school some of these termagant of ladies on how to overcome a man by obedience.. No man likes being talk back on or unnecessary argument from his wife.. The best she can do is to vent her disapproval and be quiet while the man is approached later with superior argument as subtly as possible |
Louis88: Pls don't let yourself to be consumed by hatred and malice. Look at the amount of venom you are spitting over a govts decision to showcase their achievements. What is your grouse? You are not happy over these projects or what? If you are sad and live in Abj, I suggest you go and hug the new power sub station built by Jonathan in WUYE.Let me laugh in Hindu ' shagayashagayashagayaaaaaa!!! Na pikin when mama born you just finish like this? In addendum, the guy@engineerd, can as well go and drown in the flood on Abuja-Lokoja road....maybe he could find solace for his pissed soul.. |
kaorama: God will fight for His people in this nation Just passing, thought I should ask, Who are his people in this Nation? ..........>>>>>>> just leave the answer when I am passing back I will see it.......>>>>>>>>>> (Quote) (Report) (Like) Some peeps are just comics. |
BBDelta: Just passing, thought I should ask, Who are his people in this Nation?: .. I no fit laugh again.. |
Okija_juju: Matters Arising; You are talking like an investigative journalist or a detective.. In as much as your questions sound reasonable , you should also understand that the crop of people we call the law enforcement agents are capable of any ignobility.. You can imagine the swift denial of the IG, he is indirectly telling us that he's an ever present IG who sees every activity of any policeman at any given moment irrespective of location.. That not withstanding we have got a case of murder here... I will not point any accusing fingers though the police are the prime suspect but there could be some twists so needs a thorough investigation.. May the soul of the dead rest in peace |
More pics pls.. @ OP , thanks for what you are doing |
Kogi, especially IgaLas and greed!.. Nobody could tell me the idiosyncrasy of these folks more than I do know because I had a first hand experience with them... I did my youth service in an Igala land and I can tell you that they are always devising ways to cheat others why crying wolves.. they want to reap where they didn't sow and these cheats should not be allowed to have their way.. My question is ' where was Kogi govt when anambra was sweating with the experimental works which lasted almost ten(10) years? They folded their hands awaiting federal allocation.. Kogi state has not been able to do anything with Ajaokuta and the many mineral deposits in the state... Now they want o fight over an expanse of land in Ibaji.. When did Kogi state start recognizing Ibaji as an important and integral part of Kogi state? Let me inform this forum that the Ibaji part of Kogi state had no electricity till this moment.. The community was long abandoned by the Kogi state govt and one time governor of the state, prince Audu once said that he had no business visiting the Ibaji community because there was no road to the community..this community was damned abandoned to their fate by Kogi politicians and when raining season comes corps members and most indigenes are relocated to neighboring Idah.. I am appalled the the stone which the builder rejected is now becoming the chief corner stone. |
SLS is intelligent, no doubt. I have heard him on several fora and I can 't but agree he is sound but what I find absurd is the comparison . Both characters operate from different world apart.. NOI is a world class product which has no local substitute.. This man as controversial and deluded as he always sounds hasn't been in the news in a while so wanted to be heard. I will suggest he compares Sanusi with Soludu whom I think is even a better banker. |
GEJ IS WORKING , NIGERIA IS BEING TRANSFORMED BUT SABOTEURS STILL WOULDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT IS OBVIOUS...CARRY GO JOOR, JONA ALL THE WAY |
