Fucking too early for 2015 talk... The president needs deliver on his first term mandate.... the events between now and then shall decide.. I remain his loyalist till people stop being wicked and unconstructive in lcriticisms but he must be the master of his game... Mafia rule is the inn of this game and only the strong survives |
Moderators close this thread fast.. We have over three already on the same topic |
topeorekoy: It was an emotion-laden moment Friday at the country home of the Osokogus in Boji-Boji Owa (Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State) when late Miss Cynthia Osokogu was buried. This girl was a beauty sha! R.I.P nwan onyen owa! . Those bastards murdered a beautiful damsel of Ika clan... This could call for a retaliation but it is already them against the state.. Provided justice reigns, nerves will be calm |
You won't have a good traffic for this thread because it has been exhaustively debated yesterday.I refused to comment yesterday because I have some reservations. I agree with you to some extent, and an appraisal of yesterday's topic will explain why Nigerians abroad will be more cynical and critical about the country because no Nigerian will take delight in traveling to Europe or America for greener pasture if our acts are right at home. These folks seriously want things to be in good perspective to facilitate their earlier returns, however, understood, I strongly think that there is a problem of mindset. Most Nigerians abroad could have made it better in Nigeria than abroad but people had this mentality of traveling oversees thinking it is all bed's roses.. It's not a speculation or act of trying to demean that some of our country's men and women over there are suffering black and blue and I think there is no shame in humility if they find themselves back to their route and capitalize on the opportunity provided by the quest for economic transformation. They indeed will be accommodated. |
That one! We should give kudos to her for summoning courage to utter a word in the chambers after two years of acting like a statue. My only surprise is that she doesn't even understand her own statement, she also wanted to talk since others are talking and since talk is cheap so she talked the talk |
This is just wrong.. Not in this manner. The mobs had a choice. This is really sad |
Dudu_Negro: ...really, now pdp wants to give praise to Jakande? When pdp came into power in Lagos they ridiculed and mocked all the programs Jakande accomplished. I am surprised at this turn around and praise for Jakande.I have been suspecting that you survive on weeds or some sorts of narcotics.. Take a closer look at the bolded again. It will be demeaning on my personality to join issues with you further since you don't even know or understand recent history then what kind of intellectual depth are you going to display in an argument that require mature minds. No wonder you have been so off points. |
floriana: I got questions for you:Even deep in your heart, you know all you have quoted above are progressive 1. For the first time in over 50 years, we are experiencig astronomical increase in power, doubling what we have generated in over 50 yrs 2. You could CRITICISE and comment freely even on this forum partly because of the FOI bill and level of dissenting voices against govt today is because of this freedom which every govt had opposed since independence. You will also agree that these attacks are getting to government and putting them on their toes.kudos to him( GEJ) for making history here 3. Rigging may not have stopped completely afteral, the one ACN rigged in Obalende LGA of Lagos in the council elections of last year was upturned two(2) days ago but you will agree that our electoral system is fairer than it was. You will also agree that the last general election was the only assumed fair election that had produced a visible government. Don't remind me of June 12, why I said with visible govt. 4. Nothing practically dumb about the note but it is only a listening govt that would rescind on its decision in line with public yearnings. 5. Reclaiming Bakassi or not it's not going to be the making of this govt.. My suspicion is that Our jurists misrepresented facts , probably why we lost that case . Calling for a review is like a damage control.. A principled people will not appeal such a judgement, it's called honour but for our people living there, let it be seen that everything possible was done. Sentiment aside , a Pealing that judgement may bring more disgrace to us. A political solution would have been better. 6. The government had made an appreciable progress and had shown determination to revive this sector.. I know you were among the Thomoses who thought the president will fail on that promise. Sorry to disappoint you.. By next year , most of our rails will be on track again. Think positive for this country and stop being a witch or still be a witch to yourself and family bynyour negatives and leave Nigeria to develop |
dayokanu: What we care about is the quality of the leadership in the UK. Their leaders are SELECTED. No public voted for Cameron, Gordon brown Tony Blair etc.Good that you know that ACN is famous for imposing candidates against the will of the people .. Thanks for admitting Britain practise parliamentary system where parliaments elect prime ministers. Their system of electing prime minister doesn't allow popular participation by the generality of the population unlike our system which allows .. DAYOKANU , THE NO 1 NURTW FROM OYO STATE HAS SAID THAT THE IMPOSITION OF CANDIDATES BY ACN IS IN LINE WITH THE PHILOSOPHY OF THE PARTY TO ENTRENCH GOOD GOVERNANCE.. WHAT AN OXYMORON. |
Isaactop9: I hv been following topics on this forum were people always blast the president for every thing dat happens.your facts are even understated.. You couldn't be more correct.. You are classically on point |
No doubt the Kwara State government has a robust and detailed policy trust for the state especially in the areas of agriculture. It is also good the governor building on the template laid by Saraki on health. Robust plan if I may say but hope he summons enough will to execute them to a logical end. Let the other states in the north central emulate the struggle for self economic determination by Kwara. Kogi should harness the vast natural resources of iron ore, steel and other mineral deposits in that state as well as farming opportunities. I am delighted at the ungoing rail projects, at least illorin to offa is completed even to Lagos. Awaiting a link up from kano, which is still under construction. we need to relieve our roads of too many strains and stress by seeking alternatives to transport and that is what GEJ is trying to achieve. |
It is only a matter of time for the truth to reign.. A close confident told me that the election was rigged considering the level of goodwill Babajide Obanikoro enjoyed during the electioneering process. Tinubu's days are numbered. The earlier he redirects his party on delivering good governance, the better for him and his tribal party. Another big blow awaits this lion of Bourdilion on the 20th of Oct. Good to note that he was defeated in his own home which can also be taken as the unofficial national head quarters of the ACN |
emiye: All these noise about Tinubu imposing candidates is simply "much ado about nothing".Pls just remove Oshomohle from your list. You are day dreaming if you think Oshomohle believes and aligns with Tinubu's political ideology. You people should have known that by now. The man is a movement and he's only affiliating himself with ACN because it is convinient now. ACN didn't make Oshomohle rather Oshomohle has brought so much good will to ACN . If he chooses to cross carpet to PPA , we will follow him. |
dayokanu: I am Yoruba, I am from Oyo State, I am ok with Tinubu and the ACNThey are gradually admitting to their undemocratic tendencies.a party like ACN who claims to the pride of fair play in African politics shouldn't be imposing candidates. It amounts to saying one thing and doing another.. |
Let see how this plays out. The FG in her wisdom wasn't cut out for this because it could amount to another wasteful venture but for the people's pressure. After listening to intellects debate on this, whether to call for a review of the judgement or not , without sentiments I understand that a political solution would have served us better putting many other factors into consideration. However, we must put the interest of Bakassi people first.. God bless the fed rep of Nigeria and may we have enough wisdom, intellects and evidence to win this case. |
killuminati: you get luck say I no come here wit my pistol this guy is just a classical slowpoke.. Chei! What has nairaland turned to? Where all and sundry including toddlers drooling in saliva come to type rubbish with IQ less than 5. Smh |

I feel the pain you speak with. Sorry for the loss, but let me chip in that I lost a full family on the same road some years ago. Very pathetic indeed. I agreed that the states of our roads are bad but it is as a result of the failure of successive governments. This problem precedes this govt and that is the fact. You can't declare an emergency on the roads because we have no alternatives yet why the development of the rail lines are very imperative. Still on the roads, contracts for the maintainence and reconstructions of most federal roads have been awarded but works are slow because these roads are simultaneously in use. The minimum wage was #7500 before this govt increased it to #18500 though that still looks grossly insufficient but we should not forget it is over 100% increment. Subsidy debate is controversial. Government had a genuine argument for the removal but the timing is wrong. When you meet a very corrupt and criminal organized system then you will understand what the pres. Saw that made him took the decision of subsidy removal. The petroleum sector deregulation is still on. It may not work without the new PIB which has helped to lay the framework.. The passage lies with the national assembly.. To cut the story short, I perfectly agree that we deserve more than we are getting but the responsibility of good governance doesn't rest on the president only and that's the essence of this thread. This man has only spent 2 yrs in office and he has said repeatedly about his many transformational approaches. It will be wise we cooperate with himandgive him little time before judging in this ruthlessly |
You guys better get a life and stop quoting a free citizen like billionaire who only attempted to help your deluded minds by educating you on what is true.. In life what you cannot change you bear why I still can't understand why somebody wanna commit suicide because patience Jonathan didn't tell him/her the nature of her sickness. If I may ask will your knowing change the situation? For your information, your rantings do not change the status quo that you are not going to know what she was managed for and that under the Nigerian law she remains a private individual.. As for the perm sec issue, she's answerable to her boss who is not complaining. For using public/ state facility , you need to understand fringe benefits. If your husband or wife work Ina company with good social security you are as well entitled to such benefits.. Pls stop drinking panadol for something above you |
Ok, this is page 8.. More tribal / verbal war .. Enjoying this movie, OMG |
This emperor Tinubu should be put in his rightful place. The use of propaganda and intimidation cannot give you ondo.. As the Iroko has said " ondo people are not rabbits or grass hoppers to be captured" they are as or even more intelligent than you and your senator wife whose only contribution to the senate was the calling of a vote of no confidence on a government she's a part without thinking it wise to resign first for her ineptitude in the hollow chamber..Ewo! |
Ok, nice one. Since Petirin's retirement is inevitable.. Otherwise, the structure would have remained. With time, these men will win the war on terror. |
There are two groups of political critics of GEJ on NL.. 1. Those hirelings of ACN and same set of persons play tribal cards typical of a certain tribe in this country who feel that they only have the intellectual capacity to make things work and they religiously believe that their tribal party is the best hence why should any other party be ahead? 2. Those who doesn't really have political depth and are just carried away by anything against government probably because they expect Jonathan to help impregnate their wives or drive away bed bugs from their homes .But government spans through three arms and tiers.. Nobody is holding state ,local govt and even legislators accountable and as such they shy away from responsibilities. If the same measure of criticisms against GEJ is as well directed to others I think we would have made more progress.. But for certain political biase and grand plan Nigerians will not act rightly.. |
samkoro: Ok,GEJ caused the flood? That's how ur brain work.May be illuminati has killed ur brain and done sacrifice with it.They left a part that still thinks about Jonathan. You shouldn't have responded to that nit wit's comment.. Exactly what he was looking for..probably learning how to talk |
Okay.. Another impeachment. Let's wait for the next drama on the issue. |
This Dino melaye guy should rest.. How does the acquisition of private jets by individual's equate to stolen money..there're successful entrepreneurs in the country. |
The first lady should be in Aso Villa in continuation of her rest.. You can never have enough rest in a foreign land. But why didn't Sahara shop rite of lies who has diagnosed her of food poisoning, ruptured appendix and Parkinsonism tell us where she is? I thought they are CNN," be the first to know" |
Too many confusing and contradictory reports on this lady ... Please can Nigerians mind their business and allow her recover in peace.. I don't know what we want from the presidency at least common sense should tell us that all isn't well with the first lady. Soon now ACN will call for an apology from the president for keeping a supposedly private and family affairs private.. |
I can as well accuse this OP for lying... Setting up a panel to investigate an issue is not the same thing as you want to fire them. . This sensational headingis created to cause traffic but nobody is calling for your head. |
Very unfortunate that some have chosen to fall to ACN's derailing tactics as usual. I will still educate us on the need to stop acting on people's opinion on issues especially as it relates to governance because a whole lot of peeps on this forum are partisan and biased.. I still stand my ground on this issue that the president didn't commit an intentional fallacy but rather this issue is subject to both the interpretation of the president's statement and intention. However said, the ACN which has been notorious for their double standard has decided as a party to derail the nation on a mere interpretational issue... I would have suggested the ACN concentrate on delivering on the dividends of democracy in the states they are governing and improve on their abysmal failure as vividly seen in Ekiti, Ogun, Oyo and Osun rather than capitalizing and using machine gun to kill a fly.. |
These ACN buffoons are day dreamers... Lai Mohammed should tender an apology on behalf of his party for heating up the polity.. I don't understand what this regional political party thinks of themselves.. Still thinking |
Expecting this thread reaches. Page 8 and still counting... Mk I go back to work joor. |
omenka: Please house, join me in campaigning for the creation of a 'dislike' or 'trash' botton in addition to those we already have at the bottom of posts. If you are with me, 'like' this. We need to put coments such as this quoted in their rightful place.Guy read my comment well and retrace your postulation.. The problem with your likes is understanding.. We are too quick to judge without asking questions |
