But, you have a strong point there. I was discussing with someone last two weeks and we were talking about sex and having children.

Like you just pointed out, marriage is primarily seen as meant for reproduction. So sex too is only meant for those who want to reproduce?
Well, the man was telling me that since I firmly do not want to have children of mine in future, then I shouldn't be having sex with whoever I end up marrying. It made sense to me. Ordinarily, I'm supposed to have been upset with his submission. But I wasn't. He was speaking from a deeper , spiritual standpoint.
So , I'm not all that sex-crazed. Well, not anymore...Was mostly when I was in my teen years.
Now, I'm wondering if I'll be going against nature and God ( for some.of us who believe in there being a God) if I end up marrying a woman and have constant sex (to please both ourselves) but I practice withdrawal menthod or anti-pregancy methods. I've been pondering on this. Sex is, but just a feeling. It's not a necessity for survival. I think we've been worked by the many films and videos we have seen over the years to think that we must fvck in this lifetime. Otherwise, we are not complete as a human being. But this is a lie. A misconception by many. Mind you, this has nothing to do with religion or being religious right now.
But , you're right! Many are married today, or even dating all because of it creates the avenue for them to have SEX. Safe sex, legal sex, sex, sex, sex....You get my point?
It is this sex that later leads to an outcome of having babies, children. But it was sex that first became the catalyst.
If it's not sexual appeal, then why do most guys only choose to go for the ladies with thick bodies or curves? It all has to first do with list and sex! Then comes whatever they assume to be ' love ' They grow on each other.

But it's sex that was the original binding factor here. Reason why I cannot ever kill myself for any one woman. It's all a mirage. It's like an infatuation. You think she is the one. Or he is the one. Who told you!? This is why majority of them cannot remove sex from the union and still be happy, productive, blossoming, bonding, being besties and what have you. Because it's really not about unconditional , mutual understanding. It's just that mutual interest - sex. Other things follow after.

Omo, I can be with a woman that o feel is a good companion and if she tells me, ' Jerry, we ain't having sex for the next four years ' I would still hold on to what I feel for her. Because I know that sex is not the main reason why I wanted to get married to her. O want companionship, laughter, plays in the park, eat and cook together, walks on the beach, working together and brainstorming, exchanging ideas, playing silly games and pranks with each other, and so on. A deeper sense of what relationship and real love (not the love that's common in the world today) means. Not just sex that most use to sustain their relationships.
Don't get me wrong. Sex is good. But sex ain't supposed to be the main thing. The ultimate thing. Those who do not have wives for celibate reasons, how about them? They still make sure they have people to talk to. Even ladies to gist with, just to feel they aren't alone and lonely. But they don't look for sex. What am I saying ? Sex is not supposed to be this powerful in our marriages and relationships. I know many will disagree and insult their mothers here ( not me ) but it's because they do not understand the deeper things of relationships and intimacy. They think it's all about sex. If there was love, why will a man's wife die and then he will hurriedly rush to marry another woman? Konji has to be satisfied, innit? Then the result of that sexual union bears forth children ( not the primary interest of the husband with this second wife o) Then we would all say, 'oh , he has given her children, being his new wife. He loves her .'
That's the misinterpretation of the above scenario. He loves the sex, not her. The children are a consequence of the sex. He already has children from his first wife and is already approaching the late stages of his life. Did he really want these new set of children? I think not.
Omo! See bah, it goes deeper. I've just tried to summarize it for the sake of your reading. As it is, it's lengthy enough. But I was trying to make you and anyone else reading to see that sex is not just the main thing that's satisfies in a marriage or relationship ( well, to me tho)
Lesson: cultivate the mindset of not depending on sex and being addicted to it. Sex is overrated as they say. And they say it for different reasons, depending on one's own interpretation of the saying.
