AndSunGorilla: If it were possible i would recommend Amuneke as U23 coach or maybe even apply for the now vacant Enyimba role. I remember Siasia coached Heartland for a few games before his first SE appointment. He doesn’t want dt stress again, besides he believe he’s ripe enuf for the top job ,to amuneke, those who av been employed since rohr era till date is not better Dan him in anyway,so y go for a lesser job. |

charlesemeka85: Sifia pain 😢
“They succeeded in tarnishing my image” - Emmanuel Amunike speaks for the first time, following NFF appointment of a new coach
"They succeeded in tarnishing my name in the media over the [Super] Eagles job. They can continue their propaganda, but I will remain composed. This job is not a matter of life and death.
"All those allegations made in the media about the Eagles job are clearly untrue, but those who recommended candidates for the job know I cannot be easily intimidated. I understand there is still animosity with these officials, but it's okay." 😀😃😃😄😂😅🤣😄😄😄😄😃, dis guy his hell bent on finishing pro amuneke. 😄😄😄😄 |

mostob: Somebody shared a screenshot from transfermarket here that shows Finidi has a UEFA license. I made my research too and it shows he has UEFA A license. I don't think you can coach an age grade team abroad without any license.
So I ask, why are you bent on pulling the Man down with your false narrative because your fave didn't get the job? You're one of the most respected members here. What exactly do you derive from all these? Simple …he was severely pained 😀 |

TheGoodJoe: The development fees was not illegal. If that is what you want to hold, then is mediocre.
Amunike worked training local coaches without collecting money when he could have easily done that. Does that sound like a corrupt person. Finidi has no coaching experience outside the EPL for you people to expect to dig corruption. Is it from npfl transfers? Think of a better blackmail. Where’ d proof showing amunike did dt for free? |

Two things costed amuneke d job from what I learnt during space conversation
1) forceful pr(wc amunike was unaware; ppu really wanted amunike to take over but unfortunately,d same ppu ousted him out of d job ..I would liken amunike fans like d obidients (Dey can be very toxic at times).during d space ,Collin said top nff officials became scared dt person wey we neva give d job don Dey pressure us,what if he finally lands d job, what will happen
2) continuity and time frame of d next crucial World Cup qualifier
No coach, whether foreign or local or even the best world classs coach will be able to impact his football knowledge on how he wants his team to play within 3 -4(max) training sessions b4 d SA GAME.coupled with the precarious situation we re,
Hence d gamble on finidi to continue as d head coach since he has been with the team for over twenty months now.we can’t deny d fact dt he knows the team more Dan any of d candidates who applied (dts obvious anyway).
Not dt finidi is better Dan amuneke or oda candidates who applied
My verdict..
We av no choice now Dan to support finidi to succeed as the head coach.it will b disastrous to miss the World Cup back to back . |

TheSuperNerd: To be honest, don't expect anyone here to believe the bolded except me or a few others. Ofcos Amunike isn't aware and won't resort to such tactics but nope... some no go gree.
Truth is I know there are people who for once felt it was time a suitable local hand came in that truly suited the team and should be given free hand with the team and that guy was Amunike. But what I didn't expect is how badly they wanted this for Amunike. I am even shocked at the number of so called powerful individuals who tried hard to influence the NFF to name Amunike. Omo, e get people wey like that man ooo. In fact he further revealed it was dis forceful pr dt made nff to name finidi ahead of amuneke ,not base on competence as such ,though he revealed dt part of d reason y finidi was named also was because he has been with the team .and he reavealed both coaches have d same coaching certificate(uefa pro A cert) @ TheGoodjoe |

Collin udoh said some respected ppu tried to force ppus hand( d nff , sport minister ) to name Emmanuel Amunike by all means

TheGoodJoe: Why CAF refused Finidi, assistant to sit on bench in both matches — CAF Security Head
The People’s Elephant crashed out of the competition 4-3 on aggregate to Libya’s Al-Ahly Benghazi without their two coaches on the sidelines.
Emeruwa, who’s also a FIFA Security Officer, explained that Finidi and his Assistant do not have the required licences to sit on the bench in both fixtures despite both coaches possessing a UEFA A and UEFA C licences respectively.
“CAF intention is to raise the standard of coaching education in Africa, this is why to be on the bench for CL you either have a CAF A License or UEFA Pro license. Or other sister Confederation Pro licence while the assistants are to have a minimum of CAF B which unfortunately Finidi and his assistants do not have in this case.”

Barryseal: I don't expect much from Finidi. I legit do not think he has the tactical dexterity to out coach Rohr and Hugo Broos. If we stood any chance in these qualifiers, it will be because of our relative superiority over the other teams, not because we are better coached.
People will point out that Finidi won the NPFL, but he was nearly sacked in 2022 for not meeting up to expectation, the ex international tax kept him on the job.
Winning the abridged league last yr was by chance, as in the regular season his Enyimba side only came 3rd behind Remo and Insurance. In the CAF super league, Enyimba couldn't even score a goal.
In any case, everything about the country get Kleg. Absolutely, nothing is working, why will football be the odd man out? No way! Who was ur choice if I may ask considering nff no get money employ foreign coach |

Fully UEFA Qualified
There should be no doubts about George's coaching qualifications. He holds the UEFA Pro License, the highest certification a coach can obtain, after taking the requisite courses.
