How can an annual programme that benefits 1,200 directly in a country of over 40 million unemployed youths be that celebrated ? It borders on insanity in my opinion.

The NYSC is a good avenue that the govt. can reform that scheme, corpers should be made to pick at least 2 skillsets in a large skill training pool and be trained for at least 6 months, the remaining 6 months be spent on the conventional place of primary assignment. the govt, does not necessarily have to pay salaries to corpers during this period, at the end of the training, each corper is given like a million naira or at worst 500,000 naira to launch them in to the new world. The massive effect will be seen in less than 5 years , as unemployment drops. But, this fraudulent govt prefers to claim to pay thrilions for a non existent kerosene subsidy.

Even Akpabio confessed that the current PDP gubernatorial candidate was proposed by his wife

He declared that as a result of the stress involved in governorship campaigns, it would be inimical for the woman to contest, adding that he advised her instead to have her retirement package and be a stakeholder to advise the youth.

Lack of stable electricity hampers industrialisation, it means companies now have to spend a substantial cost than they should have in providing alternative means of power source, and this means the cost of goods produced or services is higher than it should be, and can not compete with import substitutes or business can not break even, companies are then forced to close down, and sack employees, what can be produced in Nigeria cheaply in Nigeria, is now imported from China, e.t.c

The moment power is fixed, cost of production of goods and services drops, and more businesses can survive, more people will be attracted to manufacturing, instead of importation business, reduced importation favours the Naira, and Nigeria gets better. The benefits is not limited to industrialists, Artisans like Welders, tailors, vulcanisers, e..t.c will also reap the benefits, more Small and medium scale enterprises(SMEs) will survive, the more they survive and expand, the more jobs are created. All over the world, SMES drive the economy not government jobs.

Common sense is not common, and it is not necessarily acquired even with acquisition of foreign degrees., I blame the fat cheek Ngozi , she has failed to grasp the fact that tens of million nigerian youths are unemployed , and it must be insane to spend scarce 100 billion naira in 4 years to create jobs for 4,000 youths. Govt. main responsibility is not direct job creation, its failure to guarantee stable power supply has hindered millions of jobs that could be created , and killed many smes that could not keep its head above waters due to high cost of production /running cost stemming from lack of stable power.

Money well spent will divert that hundreds of billion naira to build at least one refinery and reduce or eliminate fuel importation.

Have you entered any of the trains ? randomly select 100 Nigerians, you will be lucky to see 2 who have plyed the trains , You see the problem with many of these foolish leaders is they create solutions for less than 2% of the population with the same quantity of resource that could have create impactful solution for close to 100% of Nigerians.

I just saw a protest on Channelstv of Benin youths destroying properties of the distribution company in care of the region due to poor power supply to their area

4. Thrillions used in paying fraudulent kerosene subsidy annually, that same amount can build four (4.) or more large scale refineries and there would be change. Yet kerosene sold at over N120 to the populace instead of the claimed N50. Refined petroleum products still imported to the detriment of the country's foreign exchange.

5 Excess crude oil account wiped out, external debt profile rising again after debt relief of 2005, and OBJ's pay off of debt. Foreign reserve account depleting.

6. Several local govts taken over by BH, and BH obviously is enlarging its coast, over 2,000 killed in Baga days ago, yet the man does not appear bothered. Military men at warfront claims military weapons are inadequate and not up to date.

7. Failed to diversify the economy after 5 years, but simply lip service, 70% of the budget still on recurrent expenditure in a developing country that needs lots of physical infrastructures , infact 2015 budget is 91 % recurrent expenditure and paltry 9% for capital projects.

8. No concrete plan for grand scale unemployment that is a ticking time bomb, but minimalist approach like "youwin" that provides 1,000 jobs annually in a country with hundreds of million unemployed youth.

The only states in the south south and south east with ninety percent plus collection rates are imo, rivers and akwaibom. Imo and rivers are APC states. Then almost all states in the south west have Ninety percent plus rate of collection. I am just wondering.

None of the 6 sw states has more than 74% collection rate, in fact, the SW has the worst collection rate from the 6 geo political zones.

Rivers also has less than 90 % collection rate, there are several south east states with better collection rate.
