It is not just the goals for Oshoala, it is the skill and brilliance of her goals. |
this thread belongs to sectarian and tribalistic section, and should not be on frontpage. |
Naive decision by Ribadu, i hope it works for him at the long run. Ribadu is a dedicated and smart young man. But truth be told, i always sense naiveity in him, even though i couldnt place it. |
I can see smoke chimney Prof Mowete . Kudos to the student. Nostalgic feeling ![]() |
As far as i am concerned, this defection is still a rumour. Premium times ? Name of PDP executives who said he has registered in PDP could not be mentioned? Phone numbers of Ribadu and his media assistant could not be reached? . I have a feeling the press is being used in the drive to stampede him in joining PDP. Ribadu needs to come out and declare for PDP, then it becomes a factual news. Rumours like Patrick Utomi dumps APC declares for PDP was in the airwaves at a point in time and was proven to be false later. |
emmydeep: Why is APC's Lagos state expecting money from the PDP led FG? Don't they receive their monthly allocation?Point of correction ![]() |
May be it is still on the high sea ![]() |
FG sets up committee for set up sake. The committees report always gather dust somewhere . I hope Nigerian youths can see through the facade. |
I believe it is a good development, if it is properly sited. Many developing areas have witnessed population boom , i believe those areas should be identified, and polling units created there |
OrlandoOwoh: If anything debars Lie Muhammed from being in Osun State, it should also debar Obanikoro whose state, Lagos, doesn't have boundries with Osun.May be because Obanikoro is minister of defence for electoral manipulation. ![]() |
Sincere9gerian: APC e-warrior, hating since 1805Is it not the truth? or were you born yesterday?. The conference even shyed away from key issues and is still banking on a technical committee to make decisions for them, the talk show looks like the usual jamboree. Several Committee reports are gathering dust in GEJ's locker. |
Similar 2005 national conference also ended "successfully". Much ado about nothing ![]() |
porka: Are you planning more bombs?Get behind me, you dunce ! ![]() |
Like i said sometimes ago Accord is stronger than PDP in oyo state, and i expect PDP to also gear up close to election. I am sure Ajimobi of APC will prefer two strong opposition candidates rather than one strong opposition candidate. |
atlwireles: Ms Ogar noted that there has been no bombings since the apc won in Edo and Osun elections. This statement sought of reaffirms my belief that the current day government is behind the boko haram insurgency for political gains. The woman was unbelievably bigoted and reeked of partisanship. The doomday is near for those who wants to ruin the country for their selfish motive. |
psucc: Tell your Gov to please pay May 2014 salary before their jamboree. So he has not paid May salary in middle of August. MAY JUNE JULY .. ![]() |
BishopMagic: You are obviously posting from somewhere in Osun. Buhari is by far the most hated politician in the north among Northern politicians and statesmen. No single one trusts him and they will not give him their backing. This is why he(Buhari) formed his own party, the CPC out of the regional ANPP.11 million "almajiris" northern votes for the most hated politician in the north among northern politician. Such kind of hate must be prolific. |
BishopMagic: [s]Anybody with any experience in Management will tell you that Technical experience is not always the key to Managerial success.High class bull$hit ! |
BishopMagic: The Plebs also denounced Caeser as a dictator after Brutus' eulogy only to later side by Anthony after his own speech.Lets not derail the thread, but i think Buhari looks like a political threat to PDP's 15 year empire, as such they have mobilised mobs like you to scream supporter of APC everywhere to deface him PDP boasted some years back , they will rule for at least 60 years, now they have a party threatening their empire. |
BishopMagic: Most times, over qualified candidates never ever make good leaders. You need someone who is knowledegable but willing to work and take advice from smarter people. What makes a candidate overqualified? It must be people who reason like you who picked Barnabas ahead of Jesus ![]() |
BishopMagic: Jonathan is the better candidate as having satisfied all provisions at the polls.Democracy once failed in the bible. Jesus or Barnabus ? Pontius Pilate asked the people. The people picked Barnabas the criminal. Was Barnabas a better man than Jesus. |
BishopMagic: Jonathan is the better candidate as having satisfied all provisions at the polls.I dont get what you are yapping about? In simpler language a candidate who is more qualified( knowlege, ability to perform e.t.c ) might perform poorly at the polls than a less qualified candidate . assuming both are fielded on the same platform. That is one of the drawbacks of democracy, especially in a setup like Nigeria where sentiments richly guide the choice of the majority of electorates. |
Lordlexyy: A third world country surely don't appreciate the essence of freedom. What is shelter, cloth, money and other free gifts from gov't when your personal freedom is subjected? What were those free this, free that when Libyans were constantly living in terror? Libyans didn't have a say of their own. Gaddaffis men, sons, relatives and aids were running everything while Libyans were constantly being monitored against making any remark on the head of state. It was hell in Libya. They were practically living in a cage without the right to make contributions or express themselves. Life is not all about houses, cars, free medical or school. Life is about expression and freedom of association. We shouldn't become too conscious of material things against our personal rights and opinions. It's even on record that Ghadafi was a major sponsor of Islamic terrorists. Those were among some of the reasons he was toppled. Like every other sectarian upheaval definitely, his loyalists who were thrusted out would want to farment trouble hence the skirmashes in Libya. Libyans deserve times ten(10) what Ghadafi was offering considering their population and the interest accrue to their oil. For those who don't know, it was in Ghadafis' plan to rule and Islamised Africa funding several terrorist arms. Ghadafi was like an over spoilt child with too much money to throw around without caution. The west saw into his threat and did the needful. Hopefuly, Libyans will bounce back stronger than before from this jihadist. You have a point, but it will be difficult to convince most Nigerians. Human wants are insatiable, the day human has all the freedom he can get,but lacks basic needs of life, the freedom is absolutely worthless, and when he has abundantly all the basic needs of life, but little or no freedom, Liberty looks like the most expensive thing in the world.. "Give us Liberty or we die" is what Libyans echoed through the revolution. |
SW will get from subsistence farm products and neigboring benin republic. In fact, currently lots of imported frozen foods, rice, veg. oil e.t.c are smuggled in from benin republic |
BishopMagic: wat?Are you challenging that statement ? Fashola vs Jonathan OR Buhari vs Jonathan. In an election across Nigeria, Who will garner more votes against jonathan ? |
That is a lie. No one from PDP apart from Omisore had much electoral value. Omisore is an Ife man, a section of the state that had high number of voters. A better candidate does not necessarily translate to high electoral value. |
Fayemi's loss was more of protest vote than love of stomach infrastructure. If i should put a weight to it, it will goes thus 1. Protest vote = 50% (perceived high tuition of State university , teachers test resistance, late implemetation of 27.5% increase in teachers wage, judiciary workers grudge, civil servants disgruntled, perceived high taxation, failure to pay students bursary, opposition parties propaganda against incumbent, Crack within party spearheaded by bamidele, failure of the masses to connect with the governors tushed mien.) 2. Stomach Infrastructure = 30% ( 2 days before election, 30,000 bags of rice were distributed to those who showed their voters card by Fayose. That in no small means influenced the election,APC found it difficult to react or reacted late, I have seen a picture showing the Governor and his wife dishing cooked rice to old women, i later found out the picture was taken since 2013 during a party with old elderly women in a celebration. Had Fayemi and his party responded efficiently and timely enough like APC in osun did, the result might be different.) 3. Federal might / Tsunami = 20% over 40,000 military men deployed, ,killing and disruption of APC;s rally 5 days to election which included teargassing the governor could have scared some electorates, arrest of APC leaders on the eve of election taking into cognisance that last minute mobilisation by party leaders influences the way election goes, I likened such last minute mobilisation to last minute revision students make before going in to an exam hall, so if you seize the reading materials, the result is as good as your guess..... |
He could make others laugh, but he was sad and depressed....... what an irony ! |
My exact thoughts, It is important not to let the matter slide, simply because they won. It is a very shameful and brutal precedence, that must be stopped before the 2015 elections. |
These kind of writers were missing when the heavy protest for school reversal was at its peak, how come they suddenly found their pen? It is always difficult for the democratic elected govt to fail to listen to the voice of the masses, especially when the political class has highly politicised it, Why the writer's view is right, she is not politically correct , if you doubt me take a sample or opinion poll across spectrum of nigerians. One of the major reasons Fayemi lost in Ekiti was that he increased school fees to over 100,000 naira in Ekiti state university, Infact , it was the youths in ekiti state that dealt him the most serious blow, little wonder his loss margin in the state capital was the most catastrophic. and guess what, i can place a bet that Fayose will reverse the cost, or at best reduce it drastically once he is sworn in, and the majority of the people will hail him as the "man of the people". |
XKZ: It's not as simple as you guys are trying to make it. Land valuation has a subjective aspect. It is common to see valuer for opposing sides in litigation come up with widely varying property values. Similarly, a lot of banks in Nigeria have got their fingers burnt by relying on valuation reports.Well, i have no problem with the FG trying to verify its partners claim, but the long and typical fruitless process the FG takes in doing most of its things. From the report they have formed committees, and we all know how bureaucratic fruitless committees are their trademark, this will take forever, and at the end nothing gets done . Where are the 4 greenfield refineries promised by the fed. govt. since 2011? Still @ committee stage i guess. I cant get to barb your hair when you are not there, the FG a partner to the project is expected to know what each partner is bringing to the table from the outset, i have absolute doubt about the sincerity and commitment of the FG to the success of the project. Cotton: It sure is! That comes to about 3.75m per plot (as per my rough calculation using figures earlier provided in the thread). And what is expensive about a 3.75 million per plot land in Lagos? |
