i think the op should continue with pictures of projects , including the public private partnership projects. I have not seen the Made in Lagos Transformers yet, Eko library, Eko-Atlantic city, e.t.c.

t-something:
The difference is that you stated that LASG "chose" Cosharis whereas its was Cosharis who chose to do the project as its CSR. If read the post , you will see it was Coscharis that injected 1 Billion into the moribund venture and would use it to train students for LASG at no cost to LASG for 4 years after which they will manage it for some years before returning it to LASG.

Bottom line, No LASG is involved in this!!!
You are not making sense, read your post again.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Is One Of The Poorest States In Nigeria. by emiye(m): 9:23am On Sep 15, 2013
I think enugu town should not be used to equate enugu state.

I have heard reports from those who served in enugu state, outside enugu town, the capital.

A friend who was posted to enugu was given a hut made with mud to live in.
Enugu is a civil service state, and there is nothing much happening after govt jobs.

Obiagelli: are you kidding me? From the pics here you still debate who has utilised his resources better? Lagos and Akwa Ibom has about the same budget and akpabio can even match lagos in any sector from the pics above. Tell me what he does with the rest of his allocation.
Is not just about having the same budget, Akpabio has claimed to spend 80% of his budgets on capital projects, yet we are struggling to see what he has done. Akpabio's budget on capital projects is over 50% more than that of Lagos.

gregg2: Stop pretending to be from Abia state. Your spelling of "Ibo" instead of "Igbo" exposes you as a typical Yoruba man.

The water project you talked about was posted here by the OP to satisfy his mischievous intentions. For your information, unlike Lagos, water is not a problem in Akwa Ibom state. The taps run.
Carry your shameless self away from this thread.

One of the useless water project even failed and killed people, it was discussed in the link below

naptu2: I haven't been able to go through all the posts, have you posted about the Great Wall of Lagos? I don't think that the government is gettinng the credit it deserves for that project.

Coastal erosion has been a problem since the 1970s and no government has been able to solve it. It actually falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government, but they've done nothing to solve the problem. For the first time a solution has been found and it is The Great Wall of Lagos.
I think the op is saving the best for the last

plaindealer: The 80% thing is BS, all that crap is nothing but a con game, you can not deliver anything after spending and throwing all your money away.

Today it's private jet, tomorrow it's luxury armor trucks, slush money in hotels, drawers, stolen, confiscated in the US, luxury jeeps to celebrities, sponsoring dozens of people to Dubai curtsey of the people of Akwa Ibom, keeping wife and kids comfortable in luxury all the way in Lagos, sponsoring political adventures all over the country....Dude is just too cold and heartless...
It is a shame sad sad sad, really.

Ever since the shout about his uncommon transformation, i have kept a tab on him, but the straw that broke the camels back was comparing him with fashola, i look at the money in his hands and the projects he was offering, i knew something was not adding up. Almost 7 years as Governor of Akwa-Ibom state, yet the revenue available to him fails to be directly proportional to his projects. It is a shame.

N.B Although, i rate him better than Uduaghan.

Yes, the revolution does not have to be bloody, those charlatans who have sworn to rule us for the next 60 years are in disarray, their camp is on fire, they have pressed the self destruct button, and the revolution will manifest fully soonest.

plaindealer: Funny enough, still a whole lot more to post....
That is the absolute truth, lots more to show. Where is Akpabio hiding his own project ?, he has got more money for capital expenditure than Lagos. He claims that his capital expenditure to recurrent expenditure is roughly 80: 20, where are the capital projects commensurate with the money in his hands?

@ Agbameta, i think some of this parks are missing in your parks pix Muri Okunola (Clover Leaf) Park, Victoria Island, Gani Fawehinmi (Freedom) Park, Ojota , MKO Abiola Garden, Ojota, Beko Ransome-Kuti Garden, Anthony Village, Professor Ayodele Awojobi Park, Onike, Yaba.

agbameta: Tribalism is a very powerful drug, with tribalism, you agree with the facts as stated deep inside, but it's hard to openly agree and show it so, it really doesn't matter how much valid and credible facts you confront them with, tribalism remains a block and default position.

I know them and I see them coming with what's driving their insane and absurd arguments..
But, there should be a limit to such shiity talks in the name of tribalism, they shout he is taxing and making over 240 billion annually, if he softpedals and starts making 100billion annually, will he print money in state house to cover the shortfall to execute projects ?.

Federal allocation, which i call pocket money from Federal government. Akwa ibom (350 billion) and Lagos state(120billion) Akwa ibom collects over 200 billion naira more than Lagos annually.
PoliticsRe: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by emiye(m): 10:04pm On Sep 14, 2013
agbameta: How hard is this to understand really? We shouldn't even be explaining this is elementary school kids..

Basic common sense, logic and arithmetic is very strange and foreign to a lot of people for obvious reasons.
Bro, i have heard such afam4eva like comments severally, and it can be very annoying, because i dont know where to place such rubbish , and i ask could it be lack of information or lack of common sense?, I think it is the former.
PoliticsRe: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by emiye(m):
Afam4eva: I've told you people to stop bringing in population as long as Lagos or any state does not feed it's population. If anything, it's to the advantage of the state with a higher populaton cos that will mean more money via taxation. We're looking at the number and quality of projects executed and only a blind man will not give it to Akpabio but if we were to rank them based on people oriented projects then it may not even go to either of them. An obscure governor may win it ahead of them.
It is you that needs to sharpen your understanding.

Lagos annual IGR ---- N240 billion (from tax partly due to population) Lagos Federal allocation---- N120 billion

Akwa ibom annual IGR------- N20 billion Akwa ibom Federal allocation---- over N350 billion.

The real deal is in the IGR, as it takes hard work to get that, Federal allocation is like receiving pocket money from your father.

For Obvious reasons, population pressure and many others, Lagos will definitely spend a greater fraction of its money on recurrent expenditure compared to Akwa ibom state, what this means is that Lagos will have less money to spend on capital expenditure projects compared Akwa ibom.

Akwa ibom has a lot of money to spend on capital projects than Lagos state ------FACT 1

The real issue is that since Akwa ibom has more money to spend on capital projects than Lagos States( at least over 50% more than that of Lagos state), where are the projects to justify such huge income.

PetroDollas: Ghana will not only be at the world cup in Brazil, but will also do very well as usual.

You obviously don't know much about football. ask yourself, how many times have burkina faso beaten Ghana? how many times have Mali beaten Ghana? burkina faso won on penalties against Ghana at the last AFCON, but we have been beating them ever since, just as we have been doing to our big-for-nothing neighbour to the east grin

Losing on penalties does not amount to whooping, in my opinion. as for mali, we went to Bamako and flogged them 2-0 in a crucial world cup qualifier for South Africa 2010. incidentally their coach was one stephen Okechukwu Keshi. Yes, we lost to Mali in the 3rd place match at afcon, but any person with a bit of a brain will know that when a top team losses a semi-final match, they ofte don't want to play in the third placed match, which they consider useless and meaningless. you forgot we beat the same Mali in the group matches, huh?

so in your mind, Ghana will not go to the world cup because of what? Ghana had 15 points from the just concluded qualifiers in a group that had former afcon champion zambia and scored 18 goals, the highest by any team in the just concluded qualifiers. Zambia had 3 free points and and yet we won our group comfortably. what does that tell you?

you had minnows like namibia, kenya and malawi in your group and still struggled? between Ghana and Nigeria, Ghana stands a better chance of qualifying than Nigeria, based on current form.
You can write 10,000 words epistle for all i care.

On tuesday, Your next round opponent will be burkina faso, and you know the deal, they have routed you in the nations cup this year, and they will still do it again, even in your backyard. BOOKMARK THIS PAGE. grin grin grin

Choose you this day to support Nigeria at the world cup, coz your Ghana will not be in Brazil 2014. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

you are simply trolling, when you have facts, and real deal projects commensurate with the income accrued to that akwa ibom state, let me know.

Just going to the net to pull out pics without been conversant with the area is futile. All i meant was for you to personally feel it life than internet deliveries.

Not my fault dude but yours grin
What point are you making? That i dont ply the lekki -expressway road? the joke is on you.

The thread simply states show us Akpabio's project, then you start rambling with em em em "If you want to know the real deal, please travel down to AKS and see" and "The AKS government may not be a photo freak".

You have nothing to show ---- simple as ABC, just EMOTIONS and false beliefs on your head

The highlighted in red is what you lots say, when you have EXHAUSTED all the " uncommon" transformation pictures you can display from Akwaibom.

You dont need to start trolling, i have shown you what you called shabby looking, you claim "move further the axis", objectivity is a missing word in your dictionary

ba7man: Those Lagos roads never have an inception. The first day of their opening and they handle more traffic than those AKS roads will handle in a month.
No mind am, he even had the guts to call the road "shabby looking"

PoliticsRe: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by emiye(m): 1:18pm On Sep 14, 2013
jmaine: Wrong logic . . .The shabby look of the uncompleted Lekki Ajah 50 billion road is not because of any traffic.

It has been like that since inception. Population indices can never be used to justify a shabby job at inception.

unless you want to tell us the Lekki Hitech road had the same finese like the JB roads in AKS.
Shabby look ? sad It appears you dont know what shabby means

ba7man: Just the ingenious way Gov Fashola tackled the problem of waste evacuation is revolutionary in Nigeria.

He encouraged private investors to purchase garbage trucks and register waste disposal comapnies. They register with the Lagos State Government and you're given a number of streets you're to service. The residents pay you and you remit a certain amount back to LASG. Everybody's happy and more people get paid.
Some people are not objective, and have not learnt to put things in to perspective.

Do they know it is hard work for Lagos to generate the bulk of its income(over 80% of it), unlike Akwa-ibom that waits for FG 13% derivation.for over 90% of its income.
PoliticsRe: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by emiye(m): 12:31pm On Sep 14, 2013
A semi- mansion built in the midst of huts will appear more special than a mansion built amidst mansions.

Akpabio's work should reflect more, since he has a much more rural like state to develop

Traffic and Waste management is enough headache for a state with 20 million inhabitants.

ba7man: The same set of empty roads and 2 flyovers from different angles are alway being presented everytime.

When asked further, Akwa-Ibom Tropicana and the Stadium is added.

Frankly, its becoming void to me.
I tire oooo

If truly he is exceptional, lets see those things he has done, not computer rendering, he has a budget per capital over 4 times that of Lagos embarassed embarassed embarassed. He has spent the same number of years as Fashola.
PoliticsRe: The Fashola Vs Akpabio Thread. by emiye(m): 12:09pm On Sep 14, 2013
We have seen roads, stadium and pockets of hospitals from Akwa-ibom, where are the others ? huh

I am aware Akwa-ibom budget is more than that of Lagos.

I will tell ma kids dat Ghana is better than nigeria in football n we don't need to any AFCON CUP cuz u still behind us. grin cheesy
Then your kids will call you a silly emotional man.

Your Ghanian team has been in the wilderness for almost 40 years trying to win the continental cup with no success, I have a feeling the story remains the same in the next 40 years.
SportsRe: Most Successful National Teams In Africa Nations Cup by emiye(m): 11:11am On Sep 14, 2013
PetroDollas: For Ghana, winning AFCON is no longer a priority. Even countries like zambia and our perennial wife/neighbour are winning AFCON. very soon somalia sef will win afcon. fuckeuppedness.

Ghana is targeting the world cup. let the small boys play afcon while the big boys show their stuff on the world stage, huh? A quarter--final at the last world cup-and the only african country to get that far -was very good- but Ghanaians know they can improve on that in Brazil. so that's challenge. why would you be interested in a trophy you've won four times already? In fact one of the cups is permanently here with us here in Accra. We retired the cup.

For me, a semi-final finish in the world up is by far a bigger and better achievement than an AFCON title. As a matter of fact, a quarter-final berth at any world cup is worth more than being an african champion. you know why? how many countries have won AFCON compared with how many african countries have ever made it to the q-final of the world cup? fuckeduppedness
For me, My Dad told me about the 1980 african nations cup which Nigeria won.

Have you ever witnessed Ghana lift up african nations cup in your lifetime, apart from the story your dad told you on the Ghana 1982 nations cup win.

What story will you tell your kids about Ghana lifting the nations cup in your life time?

For me i have something to tell my kids as I have witnessed Nigeria lift nations cup in 1994 and 2013
SportsRe: Most Successful National Teams In Africa Nations Cup by emiye(m): 11:03am On Sep 14, 2013
