Good news from Osun She also said arrangements were also near completion for the Iraqi government, through its embassy in Nigeria, to complement the rehabilitation process with the ultimate plan of exporting badly needed treated bottled water to Iraq. The highlighted in red also arrest my attention, i guess it will be seen through. |
Sunny_bobo: Is it not an irony that the only person that has so far been convicted for producing fake drugs is a Yoruba man, the producer of 'MY PIKIN' teething medication. It was not a case of fake drug, but a factory error , might be a breach in standard operating procedure, the company suppliers supplied a different chemical with a very close sounding name to the required one. something like a hospital being supplied carbon dioxide in oxygen cylinders. |
unitary system of government (pseudo federalism) |
Sincere 9gerian: The police authorities are not fools. No one is above the law. If Gov Amaechi engages in acts that infringes on the laws, it is the constitutional responsibility of the police to call the governor to order. No sentiments. However, if the police acted unlawfully in this instance, then the president should sanction whoever was responsible.shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you better stop spewing rubbbbishhhhh, read again what you wrote |
maxwello.yg:Dont be deceived, some people are successful |
I have a strong feeling that airport will witness a deluge of drug smugglers who will believe they can easily bypass the screening process since the international flights are new |
seeded teams now 1. Nigeria 2. Ivory coast 3. Ghana 4. Tunisia 5. Algeria Unseeded teams remains 1. B/faso 2. Cameroon 3. Egypt 4. Ethiopia 5. Senegal |
DISGUSTING !, but if the football associations are irresponsible with their record keeping skills, shouldn't the ineligible player also scream out that he is not qualified .Tunisia is favored o, with this kind of fate, i have a strong feeling they will also make it to the world cup |
It was a typical case of many days for the thief and one day for the owner when a 42-year-old Nigerian, Edo-born Emmanuel Ehkator, extradited to the United State of America in 2011 over allegation of mail and wire fraud has been sentenced to a three-year jail term, and also ordered to pay $11,092,028 in restitution to his victims. Ehkator, who was initially arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before his extradition to the US is to forfeit properties in Canada and the content of several bank accounts in Nigeria according to the District Court judge, Middle District of Pennsylvania, Yvette Kane, Confirming the sentencing, the EFCC's spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, added that Ehkator was part of an attorney collection scam that was responsible for losses of up to $20million. Their modus operandi, he said, was for the convict to contact US and Canadian law firms by e-mails claiming to be individuals or businesses outside North America who were owed money by entities in the US and asked for legal representation to collect the money. "Often, the prospective 'clients' said the money owed came from a real estate transaction, tort claim, or divorce settlement. Once the law firm agreed to represent the out-of-country client, the law firm would be contacted by the U.S. entity purportedly owing money with an offer to pay the client by cheque. The client would instruct the law firm to deposit the cheque in the law firm's trust account, retain the law firm's fee, and wire the remaining funds to accounts in Asia". The cheque that was then mailed to the law firm would be a counterfeit cheque, a fact that would be discovered only after funds from the law firm's trust account had been wired to the Asian bank. The counterfeit cheques, which appeared to be drawn on legitimate accounts from well-established financial institutions, often included a telephone number for the financial institution. Lawyers attempting to determine the validity of the cheque would call the number only to reach another conspirator who would falsely verify the cheque. Ehkator's co-defendant, Yvette Mathurin, has also been charged for conspiracy and is awaiting extradition from Canada while another co-conspirator, Kingsley Osagie, was arrested as he arrived in Atlanta from Nigeria and is currently awaiting trial in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Other co-conspirators are pending extradition from several foreign countries as investigation continues against other members of the large, multi-national conspiracy. Aside from the EFCC, other agencies that investigated the crime were the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the US Secret Service, the Toronto Police Services and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the case was prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney, Christy H. Fawcett. http://allafrica.com/stories/201309120166.html |
Orikinla: So, being on BBC News is a big deal?Don't live in the past. What are your newest achievements? |
@ OP, I think Gbenga Ashiru is from Ogun state and not Osun state |
Abegi, No egypt ooooo They won ALL of their 2nd round 2014 world cup qualifying games. 6/6. A total of 18 whopping points. Nigeria only managed to win three and drew the remaining three. The tactics that will be adopted by most teams in this knock out phase(3rd round) will be different from the group phase. Games will be approached by teams as if it is a final game. I will prefer we play teams in this order 1.ethiopia, 2.senegal (will be playing its home game in morocco due to previous crowd violence) 3. Burkina faso 4. Cameroon 5. Egypt |
Where is the mans picture ? |
Pvt_Parts: Tinibu won't even be around by 2014 and his departure from the face of the earth will cause all this katakata. There should be a limit to the politics your kind play, I have a feeling Tinubu will outlive you, . |
Chai, this is ridiculous, from comments on this thread, the people who should be the most united are the most divided. One biafra my foot. |
@OP, Soludo is not wanted by the powers that be in APGA. There are only two active political parties PDP and APC, all the others are marking time. |
Alao-Akala, Oyinlola, Oni, Gbenga Daniel, Segun Agagu. The names above had at least two things in common, they were all "Christian" governors in the SW, and they were mediocre governors. Good governance which is paramount to Lagos state is blind to the religion of its harbinger. |

CLT123: Libya can still make ityou are right about that, but they need an away win against cameroon, which in my opinion is a slim chance |
the last 10 teams standing will be civ , Ghana, Algeria , Nigeria, cape verde, cameroon, b/faso, senegal, ethiopia, egypt. The teams highlighted in red will be seeded. Nigeria will be playing one of cameroon, senegal, ethiopia, egypt, or b/faso. I will prefer we play ethiopia, it seems to be the easiest of the unseeded five |
Starting 11. Enyeama efe, azubuike, oboabona, echiejille, john ogu, mikel obi, onazi, ahmed musa, moses, emenike |
They should be prosecuted to set precedence. How can you build a house with no toilet facilities, and you now come back to complain of cholera. |
Where the puppet he controls belong. Kwara state governor is part of G7 PDP governors. So your guess should be good as mine |
owolabifunke14: For real? You can catch up on this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/1083884/governor-flogs-phcn-manager-power |
Donjazzy12: He is the most approachable Governor In the whole Nigeria. His open door policy is second to none. By tomorrow I will do a special and critical expose on him @ my blogwww.davidchuks..comHmmmm, No be that governor use cane flog PHCN manager ? Approachable indeed ![]() |
@op, it should be very very minimal , if there would be any, restricted to phone calls. It is easier said that no problem in keeping contacts with exes, but there are lots of evidences that reveals that as humans the probability to fall again for our exes for lust or love reasons is higher than falling for others, most especially when the ex is doing way better than you, or better than you anticipated him/her to be doing. |
Kslib: Hmmn!!! I suspect Tony Anenih, he was 16 years in 1949 ![]() |
Afam4eva: I think the onus is on the PDP man to tell us why he thinks he lost. I just don't trust Nigerian politicians. I believe a lot of water must have crossed under the bridge. But if nothing happened behind close doors then this man is a rare breed.the pdp guy mentioned it, that 568 is less than 1213. Although, KWSIEC is claiming that 568 is greater than 1213 |

I have said it before, those trains should be adapted for cargo transportation or animals. It is wickedness to use those trains for human interstate travel. |
1MCN: If I get what you mean, sister, you think it is the default nature of the Offa people. Well, I'll admit that I dont know these people very well and their political history and temparements. It it seems to defy rational thinking that the entire Offa people would choose to vote in any politician only on the condition that s/he belongs to opposition-- even when they have a clearly more credible candidate contesting on the plattform of the ruling party, just to remain in opposition. My opinion is that the choice of the Offa people in that last Saturday LG re-run should suffice no matter what plattform it was s/he stands--ruling or opposition!I have told you your judgement skill is weak, or you are actually insincere, that election was rigged It was so badly rigged that one of the PDP candidate as councillor has rejected his victory just 3 days after the result was announced. https://www.nairaland.com/1425252/pdp-candidate-rejects-offa-rerun |
