PapaBrowne: If you were wise, you would have asked what year was referenced. Go to CIA Factbook for reference Mr.I think it is you that lack wisdom, why should i ask you what year was referenced ?, common sense demands that the budget year of the entities you are comparing are the same and most likely the most recent. To also have a more holistic picture of the situation, you should also ask yourself what structure of governance rwanda practices ?, a decentralised rwanda will most likely mean more strength in the hands of the states/regions/ provinces and correspondingly lesser responsibility for the federal govt. What are the budgets of the provinces in rwanda? |
@ op, When making such comparisons, to aid the analysis, you must ensure your data is correct and can be referenced. You claimed Nigeria's annual budget is 22billion USD , i found out it is 31billion usd. You claimed Rwanda s annual budget is 1.67billion usd, i found out it is 2.2billion usd http://www.kpmg.com/eastafrica/en/IssuesAndInsights/ArticlesPublications/Documents/KPMG_Rwanda_Budget_Brief_2012.pdf coinmill.com/RWF_USD.html# what other wrong claims have you made ? |
prince FAD: Why will they train for four days in Abuja and travel to addis ababa on the eve of the match?I think this is a bad plan.later if they couldnt win the match, they would be complaining that they couldnt acclamatise enough, that they get tired very easily. They should have go to addisababa to train for at least 3 days before the matchI wonder o, Ethiopia is high altitude, and such terrain requires they get acclimatise, i will like to warn Nigerians who think we will run over ethiopia and advance to the world cup to simmer. Our qualifying games are not impressive enough, overconfidence might be our undoing. Nigeria vs Namibia 1-0 , Namibia vs Nigeria 1-1 Nigeria vs Kenya 1-1 , Kenya vs Nigeria 0-1 Nigeria vs Malawi 2-0, Malawi vs Nigeria 1-1. In four out of the 6 world cup wualifying games, we managed to salvage 2 wins from the jaws of draws in the dying minutes of the games(against kenya and namibia) and 2 draws from the jaws of defeat in the dying minutes of the games (against kenya and namibia) |
Musiwa has set the pace for this thread, can the mods hide his comment and that of the other "dundees" quoting him. |
Nigeria should play the away match in Ethiopia as if it is the only determinant for our qualification to the world cup. No draw or loss please, to avoid stories that touch, truth be told Nigeria has not been inspiring in its world cup qualifying games judging by its results. |
abagoro: I don't think Roads are actually the true yardstick for measuring performance. Taking pictures of bad roads will only prove that there are lots of bad roads in Anambra but it does not give information on other sectors. Anambra as a State needs improvement in aesthetics and that's the part I've kept criticizing Peter Obi on. Its not all about money but beauty and good life is important as well. There is a very good relationship between good roads and the "aesthetics" |
bankoleben: And you think using NURTW guys to cause mayhem is the way to stop it? Before you deny Fayemi's involvement, we know who the NURTW guys are loyal to, and who sees Bamidele as a threat. Isn't it funny that the Police allowed political thugs have a field day but were quick to disperse MOB supporters?I am not supporting NURTW actions, many a times NURTW folks can be overzealous to show support and loyalty. |
amarilo: Is this 90 days state law of federal. Does it apply to governorship position only. When Amaechi's posters flooded ABJ you guys said on this board that it is his constitutional right to contest why is MOB diff. The Electoral act governs all elections INEC supervises. It is the constitutional right of Bamidele to contest, but must not be done to the detriment of the law This said Bamidele is leading a vehicle procession along the streets of Ekiti with campaign posters and placards. Pasting of posters is quite different, unknown or unseen individuals can paste posters, who knows if it is Jonathan's camp that are pasting posters of Amaechi. |
So the wife of Akwa Ibom Governor will have to register for Lagos State Residency card . ![]() |
amarilo: Hehehehe funny people. Calling MOB desperate but Amaechi is not.the MOB has clearly shown he his desperate, you only start campaign 90 days to election., how does that relate to Amaechi? |
Why is Bamidele so desperate and stubborn? Why start a campaign that violates the electoral act? Elections in ekiti will hold some time in May/June 2014 I hope the campaign rally organised is recorded, that is enough ground for him to be disqualified. 90 days before election is what is stipulated INEC only recently cleared candidates for anambra state election of NOV 16 to start campaign . |
Sincere 9gerian: You never knew Anambra. I am from the state. I know what it was before and what it is NOW. Anambra is blessed with human resources but in terms of infrastructural development, the state had almost NOTHING at the advent of democracy in 1999. To make matters worse, the EVIL antics of OBJ insisted on imposing unwanted elements on the state even under democratic dispensation, leading to prolonged political crisis and instability. Consequently, Peter inherited a dilapidated state, lacking all BASIC infrastructure and destroyed by erosion. Most of what existed in the state were built by communities. It was like there was a conspiracy to keep the state down. OBJ looked for Dora Akunyili to head NAFDAC because he wanted a good job done in the organisation. But guess who he decided to impose on Anambra people as governor? Andy Ubah. The destruction of the state or the task of keeping the state down was deliberate, well planned and expertly executed.Sincere9gerian, how did you arrive at 3.5 years duration for Ngige's tenure, I am aware Ngige did not spend up to 3 years as governor in Anambra, he spent roughly 2years and 9 months. |
agbameta: I still don't get this picture. Where exactly ambulance go park offload patient and even the roof is falling off, this is more like a death trap instead of Emergency hospital where they save lives.. It looks like it was not initially planned for that, something like a make shift emergency centre. |
OMG ![]() |
See as people of anambra are throwing stones and sticks at Ngige, ![]() |
Omooba77: LASTMA no dey arrest danfo drivers,I have seen it several times.People claiming sanity of danfo drivers are not sincere. You sure say na Lagos you dey? go to Lastma yard, and you will laugh at yourself. |
It takes very hard and stringent folks like LASTMA to make lagos traffic a bit sane. Many Lagos drivers behave right for fear of LASTMA |
New PDP ![]() |
paul and peter might get married the same day |
David0: What gives u the impression ur friend passed d test, when u cannot actually confirm d test score and d required cutoff score. You are right, as long as no one knows his/her score and the cut-off score, you can not be sure you passed the test. Having a first class is not a guarantee that you will meet the required cut-off score. Nevertheless, after going though your application info, SCB might still reject applications based on other reasons known to them, even when the candidate meets the required cut-off score |
Adelaide2: Topic says LASUTH not LUTH. LASUTH is state-owned and it is dilapidated as the article indicates. Quit being blind and/or shifty.Whatever the topic says is inconsequential, the reporter was talking about teaching hospital in Idi-Araba. Some dundees like you call LASUTH as LUTH, or viceversa. |
I have said it before, those PDP goons are deceiving themselves with pictures of ongoing work , those pictures were taken as far back as dec 2012 during temporary rehabilitation work by julius berger and RCC. Do not be deceived. They said work have started, because contractors have been mobilised., but i know the real deal. |
Ustec: . Ok we don ea...all we knw is dat unilorin is 1st 2 use a multi-factional ID card..not student ATM card provided 2 ur school by a bank..bad belleeBad belle over what Interswitch did this stuff in UNILAG in 2002, it was a multifuntional ID card called SMARTCARD and not student ATM Card provided by a bank as you thought. |
Some ten years ago, UNILAG produced a similar card with a chip by the same interswitch, as students ID card, this doesnt look to me like a new innovation. |
Francis-1:Because, i pointed our your lies, you said i am ridiculous. Is LUTH the same as LASUTH?, Mr Ignoramus Your intent was to ridicule Lasuth, the Lagos state governed teaching hospital, and Fashola for very dense reasons, but the hospital in discourse is a federal government teaching hospital. |
Abagworo: @bolded. So what they keep saying is true about the bank.Offcourse, it is the truth, little wonder why the current governor was ready to sacrifice the interest of millions of anambrans for his own selfish and "fidelity bank agenda" |
Sometimes in house challenge likes this means your performance as a governor is not outstanding. But, i think, it doesn't augur well that a 4 year governor is swapped by his party for another man, except in proven cases of under performance |
dayokanu: South South - 80% Jonathan You are not far from the truth, this was the summary of the 2011 presidential elections South west - 58 % of Jonathan South South - 95 % jonathan South east - 97 % jonathan North West - 32% jonathan North east - 37 % jonathan North central - 62% Jonathan |
KnowAll: You are talking from a logical point of view and we all know Nigerian Politics defiles logic. I am sure you read about the LG elections in Offa, Kwara State, one party won all the wards and another party got declared the eventual winner. Same thing happened in Lagos State during their LG Elections. So why would it be any different when the feds conduct their elections. @ OP, In essence, you are saying Jonathan will not win the 2015 election , but will be rigged in as the winner. .The snowball of violence will be better imagined than experienced. 2011 post election violence will be a learner. |
If the two major gladiators in 2011 presidential election square up again, Jonathan will have significantly lesser votes in the south west, lest we forget, at the 2011 pres. elections, PDP was still controlling 2 out of the 6 sw states (ogun and oyo), and had just lost 2 of the states(ekiti and oshun) like 6 months before. With APC controlling 5 out of the 6 south west states so far, and GEJ losing a lot of good will and his presumed humbled disposition from fuel subsidy saga, and hunting down of political rivalries. In the SE, the APC is making inroads in to the south east, at least, it now controls imo state, and who knows might controls anambra state by next year, Abia PDP seems weakened courtesy of imperformance by the sitting governor , Enugu and ebonyi still stays firmly in the hands of PDP, in the south east APC (buhari), less than 1% performance might improve to roughly 7-8%, there would also be reduced voters turnout and magic numbers. 4 out of the 5 Pro-pdp governors are not seeking re-election, sometimes leads to less mobilisation of voters for PDP In the south south, crisis in the South south especially, Rivers state, most of his PDP governors are not seeking re-election might lead to less mobilisation of voters. APC buhari less than 2% performance might improve to roughly 10%. In the North west, It will be very significant improvement for APC, with the merger of ANPP, CPC AND ACN, most of the PDP Northern elements who were persuaded to allow GEJ use out Yaradua's tenure will no longer support GEJ. In the North central, there would slight improvement for APC than the 2011 elections. In the North East, There would also be significant improvement in this region to favour APC. Lest we forget, GEJ had roughly 57% of the total votes cast in 2011,but in 2015, GEJ might struggle to get close to 40% of total votes cast. N.B: there are still up to 16 months to presidential election, and a lot can still happen within this period to change the political equation |
