Still ok for the amount, considering the expected quality in uniform material and sewing.

geeez: Impressive

Like I said, the enemies of the Yoruba race are bewildered and so shall they remain because they've not seen anything yet

Even the residents of the state accusing Ogbeni here have attested to the fact that he is getting things done. You get uniforms for N1,500 and you're complaining, try a private school then. You buy uniforms for N1,500 in a term and have text books free in your Opon Imo. At $10 per term, you won't get this quality of education this cheap anywhere else I assure you.

I'm sure the non Yorubas that have never been to the state before now or even now and accusing Ogbeni will deep within their hearts wish their governors could do just a quarter of what this progressive governor has done
The first set of uniforms will be given out for FREE to students, subsequent ones will be paid for at subsidized rate, i am not aware of the amount.. I will advise you to thread with caution as regards the N1,500 per uniform said by the PDP looser man in the article, it just might be a fabrication.

Many of the old schools are best pulled down, no point refurbishing those "poultry houses".

the primary mandate was to take all necessary steps to build and deliver within 24 months:
•100 elementary schools (2,100 classrooms);
•50 (62?) middle schools; and
•20 high schools

Atouke: You mean the opon imo? thats what that article was about. here is the fact Rauf released N8.5billion for 3500 units of opon imo to his son kabiru which on its own is very controversial interms of cost/nepotism.

but the problem is of the 3500 units ordered only 600 units has been released in the entire state ie 200 units per senatorial district and there are over 1million school age kids in osun state. hence i classify Opon imo project as a media hyped initiated/ started project untill all the 3500units of opon imo is released and concrete plans are on grounds to provide for the remaining 996,500 + school kids.
You are just yarning dust.

Where are you getting fake numbers from?. 150,000 units will be ditributed to cater for 143,000+ sudents eligible for the tablets, some will go to the teachers e.t.c,

One of the grand Ma in the village once told us that during the civil war that two brothers was shot and they were crying out for drinking water and when they were served with drinking water, they gave up a ghost without wasting time. Giving drinking water to a person that have been shot with bullet is deadly.
It is not only when losing blood from bullet wound, one must not drink water.

Any severe loss of blood from whatever form of accident will trigger thirst of water, but water must not be taken

Hey !, Mr Ugo, throw respect to the dustbin for now, and let the allegations be looked in to.

I wont completely blame the petitioner for not exhausting the problem internally, it might be lack of belief in the system, although he believed in an individual , (the VC of the school), an individual is only a part of the system and not the system.

I for one do not also trust most class governors, they are side kicks for lecturers, and fight for their personal interest to the detriment of their mates

sincerely, It is fun rubbing new development in SW on the nose and face of those who badmouth you. Also, the developmental news is way tilted to the sw than the SE, that makes it more hilarious and cheering on one side and painful on the other side

Action and reaction are equal but opposite.

My advise for my se brothers and sisters is to push their electers leaders to create condusive environment for viable investment

0monnakoda: Your mind is small. I am not interested in him. This is not personal. I am interested in OYO state and making sure Oyo state is not scammed
Does this company have any farms? Where. That is the issue here. Even if Bill Gates were to come to Nigeria and say he wants to start farming we would or should ask who his technical partners are . So stop talking like a villager.

There are very few firms who can run farming profitably.

Why Oyo state ? What is so special about Oyo state that he wants to put so much money there?
I think all eyes is on the state govt, they have given two locations (Afijio and Itesiwaju), and have stated that work will start by December that is 3 months from now. I have been to the website, while i dont subscribe that it is cheap looking, the drawback is that the site agricultural projects look like proposals, I remember some months ago, a similar argument was made on a different thread about a company who intended to site a soya milk production factory in oyo,, and there were doubts about the promoters https://www.nairaland.com/1098188/oyo-uk-firm-sign-agreement/1 , but today work is ongoing with construction of the production factory along Lagos Ibadan expressway, ibadan

christemmbassey: d levitical priesthood dat was commandf to recieve tithe from d children of Israel was REPLACED BY D PRIESTHOOD OF JESUS,(hebrews7) is ur pastor from d tribe of Levi? Are u practicing d LAW OF MOSES? When u pay tithe to a naija pastor, u commit double SIN, bc ur pastor is not a LEVITE, and u pay tithe to recieve anything from God means dat d finished work of Jesus on d cross was/is nt adequate to give u those things, d bible says, u've FALLEN FROM GRACE, U'R STILL IN UR SIN.
I share your belief, in fact, the moment Jesus was crucified, the temples veil was torn, only the priest could access the temple until then

Matthew 27:51
Who Tore the Veil?

The Tabernacle in the Wilderness and the Temple in Jerusalem were divided into two special rooms. The Holy Place and the Most Holy Place or Holy of Holies was divided by a thick woven veil.

The Holy of Holies was the most sacred place on the earth. It was the place that symbolized the presence of God with His chosen people. Only one person could enter that room, and only on one very special day of the year. On the Day of Atonement the high priest would make atonement for himself and then entered into the Holy of Holies and made atonement for the people.

The moment Jesus cried out from the cross, “It is finished!” and died that thick curtain was torn from the top
to the bottom (Matthew 27:51).

To the ignoramus talking about osun state not having tourist sites

http://www.nanngronline.com/section/tourism/osun-needs-n10b-to-upgrade-65-tourist-sites-official
GOV. RAUF AREGBESOLA OF OSUN

NAN-H-84

Tourism

Osogbo, Sept. 28, 2012 (NAN) The Osun Government said on Friday that it would need about N10 billion to upgrade 65 tourist sites in the state to enviable standards.

The Chairman of the Osun State Tourism Development Committee, Dr Abimbola Daniyan, made the announcement in Oshogbo at a forum organised by the committee as part of events marking the 2012 World Tourism Day.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the forum has as its theme as: ``Osun Heritage Development: Gateway to Sustainable Tourism’’.

According to Daniyan, the state government has worked out a three-year master plan with the aim of developing the tourist sites through Public Private Partnership.

Daniyan said the projected earnings of the State Government in the business would not be less N15 billion within three years.

He said that five out of the 65 tourist sites had been upgraded with facilities such as water and power supply.

He called on stakeholders in tourism to partner with the State Government in its efforts to globalise the state's tourism sites toward the development of the state's economy.

``We want to make our tourism potential more attractive to the outside world and we want to transform heritage sites to money-making places in the best interest of the state.

Mr Dapo Oyinlola, General Manager, Osun Tourism Board, called on communities where the tourism and cultural sites were located to help preserve the heritage sites.

Oyinlola assured interested tourism investors that government was prepared to provide the needed conducive environment by putting modern infrastructure in place.

NAN recalls that the 2012 World Tourism Day with theme: Tourism and Sustainable Energy: Powering Sustainable Development was marked worldwide on Sept. 27. (NAN)

Law prince: If that is the case, he wouldn't have signed on behalf of his entire colleauges. I can authoritatively tell you that majority of the classmates of the supposed petitioner have come out to debunk the truth of the story through various social media means within their reach. And trust me , if any HOC will act aginst the will of students glaringly for a lecturer, not in LASU. He'll so be dealt with! Chai!!! grin
In this kind of case, you dont just sign on behalf of your entire colleagues, you take their signatures to prove that majority of the classmates are in line with you. I also understand most students want to graduate, and will prefer to keep silent even in the midst of injustice.

To those clamouring, he should have taken the normal protocol of lodging his complaints, the sad truth is that the immoral academic staffs are in the majority, and one might most likely chair a committee to address such petitions.
PoliticsRe: Rejoinder To The Slanderous Open Letter On Intimate Harassment In Lasu by emiye(m): 1:27pm On Sep 29, 2013
Law prince: Fact. But issues aren't determined in that manner to apportion true justice. Who says the petitioner can't be an aggrieved family member or an opposition. grin grin grin. But truly, you can't neglect a rejoinder signed by the entire class of the supposed aggrieved.
Are you the HOC?

The HOC claimed the said petitioners name is not on the faculty log, how did he get access to the all the names on the facultys loghuh Is the HOC now a non academic staff?

If truly he has written the rejoinder on behalf of his classmates, he should be provide the list showing signatures of all classmates , purpose and date. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

I will advice that the HOC exam and assessment scripts be crosschecked with the grades awarded to him, the HOC should be subjected to investigation. grin grin

While, i agree it is much easier for the sub dean to lay judicial ambush, even if truly he is guilty, i think more native intelligence should be deployed to investigate the matter, the state government should be involved.
PoliticsRe: Rejoinder To The Slanderous Open Letter On Intimate Harassment In Lasu by emiye(m): 8:28pm On Sep 28, 2013
It is the petitioners words against this rejoinder, the class head is plausibly the lecturers agent.

i know some shameless lecturers use class rep /head as their agents of "naira for grades" in nigeria ivory towers.

The matter should be thoroughly investigated, i am 99% sure the petitioner was not ranting

I am over 90% sure , it is a lie, but rare exceptions could be the fellows department has not been accredited by relevant university's supervisory commissions (NUC).

You can approach the school and verify if they have graduated sets of students over the last few years from the individuals department.

Middle class increases by 28% in 4 years, and most likely lower class increases by 280% , mtseeeew. So where is the good news?

Alll those plenty children newly born in to poor homes are they not increasing the lower class ? huh

To those dundees who are celebrating, lets assume the population of nigeria 4 years ago was 100. 7 upper class 15 middle class and 78 lower class. (7 +15+78 =100) After 4 years a 28 % increase in middle class means we now have 19 middle class, an increase of 4 extra people, but the sensible question will be are the number of folks in the lower class now 74 lipsrsealed lipsrsealed huh i am sure that is not the case with nigeria.

The lower class is growing at a much faster rate than the growth in the middle class

zynzyn: There we go with away draw mentality again. Why can't we win away like other strong african nations? undecided

A draw in Ethiopia still puts eagles under pressure in the 2nd leg!

A failure to win in Ethiopia would be poor! angry
Thank you, a draw in ethiopia puts the eagles on severe pressure at the return leg, especially a goalless draw and gives the ethiopians a morale to come for a spoiler, the Ethiopians can easily sit back and play aggressively defensive and place a sole striker upfront with the hope they get one goal from a eagles slip up in calabar. The eagles almost lost to kenya in calabar, thanks to a 92nd minute equaliser by oduamadi.

I watched the highlights of the ethiopia vs south africa 2-1(home(2-1) and away(1-1) world cup 2014 qualifiers, the south africans were doing the playing with superior ball possession, but the ethiopians sat back and stung the the south africans against the run of play.

The eagles must play the october 13 match as if it is the only match that will decide if they will be in brazil 2014 world cup, they must simply go for victory

If your course of study is a 4 year course, wait till the end of your 3rd year, that way you will have stabilised academically, work hard now and create a buffer for a possible dip in grades in your final year. Most final year academic work tend to be less strenuous, apart from research projects

You should not have much trouble , you two love birds will pull it through and have sweet stories to tell your kids and grand kids.
