PoliticsRe: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by emiye(m): 6:48pm On Jun 06, 2013
akinalabi: You are wrong there.

Ladoja actually broke the PDP votes and not the oppositions votes.

Ladoja was a PDP strongman who left for Accord with his followers who were PDP members.
Ladoja was impeached in 2006, he left the PDP thereafter, i think that year,2011 elections was 5 years after.

the 3 political gladiators in 2011 oyo state election (Ajimobi[ibadan man], Ladoja[ibadan man], Akala[ogbomoso man]).

Ladoja weakened the opposition votes way much more than the PDP votes by virtue of the two opposition candidates being from Ibadan. At least roughly 1/3 of the total votes cast for Akala was from Ogbomoso.

texaco1: are u sure ?the last time i heard ajimobi is yet to conduct council polls ?why is he afraid to do it if they are really in control?what u have in oyo state lg councils are caretakers.acn in lagos state were sure of themselevs and they conducted theirs so also ogun, let ajimobu try it .i am sure if u tell him to conduct the polls he will look at u like an enemy of progress
Those caretakers are default chairmen, make no mistake, they are also playing politics and strive to get endeared with the grassroots. There are cases in the law court stalling the LG election at the moment.

You see i laugh , when i see comments from people like you.It is like a father correcting and spanking his child for doing wrong, and a stranger coming with sweets and biscuits to pet the child and telling the child, the father is bad.

The newly built neighborhood markets, will they be allocated to abia and kano indigenes ?.

Unfortunately for you noise makers, the ACN is currently controlling the 33 local government areas of the state

Nigerians are becoming more political conscious and smarter, and oyo state indigenes are not exempted

texaco1: i will like to believe u are an outsider that has very keen interest in oyo state politics .that is ok by me i respect ur opinions and views but i disagree with them,we are all entitled to our different point of views.
as per 2015 oyo guber elections will u like to bet on it?i can put my car down.pdp is wwining NO CONTROVERSY
I am very much not an outsider !

While 20 months in politics might be alot, all things being equal, i posit Ajimobi will win with nothing less than 60% of total votes.

I will be willing to win your car and dash it to the motherless home.

Emotions cloud reasoning, that you are a PDP member makes it understandable.

texaco1: thank u.that is the area ajimobi got it all wrong, majority of oyo state indigenes are concerned about what enters their stomach than what their enviroment looks like.
on the issue of party, there is no other political party in oyo state that has the political machinery to win the gov election against acn other than pdp.they wil have the federal backing too,and remember this time around gej is not going to make any deal with tinubu unlike the 2011 when he needed to win the south west
How did you arrive at the majority? May be you mean the lousy ones, dont be surprised the lousy ones are not in the majority.

after 3.5 years of good governance, an average man can sense it, even if (s)he can not in 1yr, 2yrs,... watch out the tone is changing. the next 18 months will reveal that to you if you dont know
PoliticsRe: Oyo-2015: Ladoja And Akala Teamed-Up To Takeover by emiye(m): 3:15pm On Jun 06, 2013
Things are not the same.

PDP of 2011 as the incumbent party rigged that election to get that much number of votes, but the rigging numbers were not enough to save them.... FaCT.

PDP no longer controls the state machinery, Voters turn out was relatively low also in 2011 due to the fear of violence as common with PDP. In 2015, all things being equal, more people will come out to vote.

Ladoja candidacy in 2011 succeeded in spilting Ibadan votes, as ajimobi and Ladoja were both from Ibadan.

In 2015, ajimobi will garner nothing less than 60% of total votes cast, irrespective of the state opposition merger or acquisition. BOOKMARKED.

anonimi: What is "your PDP" all about huh

Must you benchmark yourself with bad performers? I thought our elders say eshin iwaju ni t'eyin nwo sare - the race horse is inspired by the leader.
Abi dat wan nor apply again as we get fraudsters of the Association of Conmen in Nigeria, ACN in power huh

In case you are still wondering, my point is the ACN governors can do much better if they are not focused on their Sh'agbe loju yoyo (shine farmer eyes) projects but rather on the BASICs of free & compulsory education for children, primary health care, pipeborne water etc.
I hope it is not too much to expect us to agree on that.
Can you respond to my earlier post, i have copied it below in a quote, answer it and stop dodging ! since you dont want the ACN governors to be compared with the widely accepted failures who were PDP governors, but with governors of UPN(a party that became defunct 30 years ago).

Mr PDP, As at 2013, Lagos state runs with a 3billion US dollars annual budget for 18 million people. meaning 167us dollar budget pa capita

Since you claim to know so much about Jakande a UPN governor , prove to me for any of this years (1979-1983) Lagos state had less than 167 us dollar budget pa capita, I will register with PDP in my ward..
PoliticsRe: Labaran Maku Blasts Fashola At Ministerial Platform by emiye(m): 7:32am On Jun 04, 2013
The FG has abandoned most of her responsibility in lagos state.

Federal infrastructures are decaying faster than comparable state infrastructures. LUTH VS LASUTH, NATIONAL STADIUM LAG VS TESLIM BALOGUN STADIUM.... How can Labaran be talking shiit?, the lasg is taking up many of fedral govts responsibility like road networks, Lag-badagry expressway, power generation.

BTW, Has the FG paid the LASG, over 50 billion naira, it is owing the state?

anonimi: So Gbawe is also a PDP guy or he probably understand that ACN has its "nest of killrs" as well?
Which one is it?
What are you rambling about ? From your statement you admit PDP is a nest of killers, and you are now trying so hard to paint the ACN party with your party's "red" colour. Who knows you might be one of PDP's hit men.
PoliticsRe: Opon Imo Launched By Osun Today by emiye(m): 12:06am On Jun 04, 2013
anonimi: And it cannot be better than it is today given the resources available to Tinubu and Fashola in the last 14 years COMPARED to what was available to Jakande and Awolowo who did not even have Niger Delta oil revenue to start with in the 1950s huh

Those who want to be satisfied with mediocity (average performance) are free to do so.

I pity you.
A o le sun ki gbogbo wa ko ori si ibi kan na - We cannot all sleep and put our heads in the same direction.

You are either oblivious of what is going on in places like Mushin, Oshodi, Ajegunle etc where some places are fast becoming no-go areas fro law enforcement authorities as gangs take over. That is to be expected when the kids are not gainfully engaged in free & compulsory education and they will grow up to harrass the elites who deprived them as the Boko haram guys are doing to the northern leaders.

That is a narrative that is the reality for the majority of kids in today's Lagos after 14 years of Tinubu and Fashola's "progressive" administration despite increased IGR and borrowing huge sums via bonds etc.
Lagos of 2013 is way better than that of 1999 ! Start with oshodi, mushin and Ajegunle you listed to dispute my statement!

Cry, huff, puff ... if you want, the progress must continue, true lagosians know where we are coming from, we know where we want to be, if people like you intend to stop the wheel the progress, you will not suceed, any smart individual can see through you.

anonimi: I heartily say a big Amen to your prayer as I know it will come to pass in the lives of the ACN goons, starting with their oga on the top, Tinubu as they are slowly eraing the progressive policies and initiatives of Awolowo and the UPN governors.

BTW,
* if the guys in PDP get their acts right
* exploit the many weaknesses in Aregberascal's maladministration of teh past three years
* nominate a popular, credible and sellable candidate as well as most importantly
* protect him from ACN's death squad so he does not get the Funsho Williams treatment

they will win next year's election. QED.
Oh Oh !,now you are showing your PDP colour, i see you like the red color , anytime i see them in your write up, i remember blood, PDP and danger . The nobel laureate aptly described PDP as the "nest of killers" party(PDP). Are you not ashamed to be associated with this party ?

I can see you are ashamed to compare the current ACN governors to the lousy PDP governors we had in the immediate past, the best comparism you make with the ACN governors are with governors of a party that became defunct over 30 years ago (UPN). For your information one of the shining light UPN governors Lateef Jakande is still alive, and attests to the good work of the current ACN governor in Lagos state.

anonimi: So because the north and south east are breeding delinquents the south west must also join the bandwagon huh

What kind of reasoning is this? I thought we yorubas pride ourselves as leading in GOOD things. that was what the late sage, Awo taught us. I see the Akotiletas (prodigal sons) in ACN are hell bent on squandering that legacy as long as they amass our wealth to themselves just like their fulani friends have done in Nigeria's almost 100 year history.

We will not let that happen to us!

I will, as usual, ignore your insults.
I will continue to resist the temptation of sinking to that gutter level.
Mr PDP apologist ! Why are you so bitter? PDP is a forgone issue in the SW region.

Stop masquerading your real pain with seemingly sincere concern. Things are not the same, Forward ever backward never. Anybody who tries to draw the region backward will not witness the future !

I dont think he is advocating for the continuation of almajiri system, the point he is making is that simply banning the system, without a well conceptualised plan to resolve the gargantuous eye sore is not advisable.

That is why pschologists advise that bad habits must not just be dropped, but replaced with a good habit.

CHILDREN IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS SHOULD BE FED.

i am opportuned to be currently serving in a primary school at ikeja.

The condition of those children is really terrible and heart breaking.

I will give a detailed write up on Naira-land with pictures
Oh Oh, i like it when people go to serve and realise how poverty pervades the system, it is a pointer that the proclaimed 70-80% poverty rate is not far from reality.

Ikeja is the capital of the most cosmopolitan city in nigeria, and one will least expect to see high incidence of poverty in such kind of urban setup, but.....
PoliticsRe: Members Of APGA Defect To APC In Anambra by emiye(m): 10:09pm On May 26, 2013
noblezone: I understand that this APC (Arewa's Political Cancer) is the only "hope" for Nigeria.
And I have stated that if it is so, it means that Nigeria is indeed hopeless.

I am yet to understand the progress the "Sai Buhari" movement and the CPC supporters brought to Nigeria in the wake of 2011, or perhaps, the shedding of blood is the new definition progress?.

I loved Ngige, but if he is stupid enough to align with those whose dream for Nigeria is to drink the "dogs and baboons", then we shall sink his political carrier in Anambra State.
Buhari will not come and govern anambra, Ngige will, a myopic view, and lack of good judgement it will be if you dont elect a good candidate because of buhari. You will be no different from one aboki man who divorced his lovely wife because she allowed a male doctor to treat her in the hospital.

Open your inner eyes !
, PDP is shedding blood everyday courtesy of their actions, inactions and policies at the centre, you will not realise how shortchanged you are by PDP, until you remove them from the centre. The seeming fringe performance you are witnessing from the centre is because the opposition is becoming stronger and breathing on PDP's neck at the centre, keeping them on their toes. Although PDP cant give what it doesnt have.

PoliticsRe: UN Urges Nigeria To Feed School Kids by emiye(m): 8:34pm On May 26, 2013
LabourParty: If you give them credit and their business fails, what will happen to the welfare of the kids? Without proper financial education 80% of them will waste the money within a year.
Micro finance schemes depending on approach can give business training, instead of giving them fish, teach them how to catch fish, moreover many are doing one business or the other at the moment.

LabourParty: It's is a violation of human rights when you tell people how many kids they can have. Only if we want to be a country that will disregards human right laws. And I'm sure that is a bad way to build a democratic nation.
Dealing with ignorance and damaging habits does not have to done with force, suggesting optimal number of kids is not infringing any human rights. Awareness campaign on how generational cycle of poverty is enthrenched when you dont plan your family is part of the strategies.
PoliticsRe: Members Of APGA Defect To APC In Anambra by emiye(m): 8:23pm On May 26, 2013
APGA is a sinking party, it failed to win a single senatorial post in 2011, lost 2 to PDP and 1 to ACN, commonsense dictates they need to reinforce and create a formidable opposition.
The effeminate speaking governor is a PDP-Apga, he has sold the party for a pot of hot porridge.
PoliticsRe: UN Urges Nigeria To Feed School Kids by emiye(m): 8:14pm On May 26, 2013
LabourParty: 100 Million Naira will do for SW states, but close to 800 Million Naira will be enough for the entire Nation.

Please note this for primary school kids only.
Even if govt will only spend N100 daily per kid, then that will only accomodate 1 million school children in S/w public school. I believe there should be over 3 million kids in public primary schools in south west, on conservative estimate.
PoliticsRe: UN Urges Nigeria To Feed School Kids by emiye(m): 8:08pm On May 26, 2013
Instead of feeding those kids, use that money to give their mothers micro credit , and guide them to success to ensure they channel the fund rightly, they will feed their children.

(2) make family planning clinics free of charge for those who want to adopt a f.p technique, condom distribution free of charge for registered families, training on fp....the problem with nigeria is not that we are really overpopulated, but many poor households continue to pop kids they cant take care of.

A poor man giving birth to 5-6 kids knows he cant take good care of them, but in his warp sense he prefers to play gambling with the kids, and believe with or without taking good care of them, at least 1 out of the 5kids may come out succesful later in life to take care of him at old age.
PoliticsRe: UN Urges Nigeria To Feed School Kids by emiye(m): 7:57pm On May 26, 2013
LabourParty: Yes, it's time we start feeding kids in school, at least just lunch will do. It's difficult to learn when you are hungry.

I know the FG will come and tel us that they can't afford to feed kids in school, and we all know that is a lie. I'm sure 100 Million Naira can feed this kids a day.
100million daily for all the kids in nigeria's public school? or whattusaying?
