PoliticsAmaechi Will Be Treated Like A Traitor – Dokubo-Asari by emiye(op): 6:38am On May 06, 2013
Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari, has described Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as a traitor.

According to him, since the governor joined forces with the North to work against President Goodluck Jonathan, he has betrayed the people of the Niger Delta.

Dokubo-Asari, who spoke with journalists on Friday in Abuja, on Jonathan-Amaechi rift among other issues, said the 2015 general elections would “define and decide” the existence of Nigeria.

But the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, told The PUNCH that Dokubo-Asari was entitled to his opinion.

She said, “I am sure those are Asari-Dokubo’s views. It is a democracy and so everybody has a right to abuse; whether those views are right or wrong is irrelevant. I do not think that as a government, we will respond to that; there is nothing to respond to in his allegations.

“Dokubo-Asari has every right to his views. But whatever he wants to say, the veracity of it is a different matter.”

The ex-militant leader said, “Rotimi Amaechi has been making disparaging statements against the person of President Goodluck Jonathan. He went to Kano State and declared there that he would contest 2015 presidential election as a running mate to a northern aspirant. He is free to do so, but the South-South will not allow traitors among us.

“If Amaechi has singled himself out as a traitor, he will be treated as a traitor; there is nothing anybody can do about it. Now that we have come out of slavery, nobody can take us back into slavery, it is not possible.

“If they like, let them ‘settle him’ and Goodluck, but we, the people of the Niger Delta, will not ‘settle’ and allow a traitor in our midst.”

On the 2015 presidential election, Dokubo-Asari said no “gang up” against Jonathan would stand.

He said, “I want to say that there will be no peace, not only in the Niger Delta, but everywhere, if Goodluck Jonathan is not the president by 2015, except God takes his life, which we do not pray for.

“Jonathan has uninterrupted eight years of two terms to be president, according to the Nigeria constitution. We must have our uninterrupted eight years of two tenures. I am not in support of any amendment to the constitution that will reduce the eight years of two tenures that Jonathan is expected to be president of Nigeria.”

Omo_Tier1: Contrary to what many of you think, dislodging PDP from centre is very easy! It takes the masses to pull off their eyes religious and ethnic sentiments scales, vote for a performer and protect their votes.

January 2012 mass protest clearly demonstrated that Nigerians can make PDP history the day they decide to. Surely it will be like a dream when the brooms start sweeping eagles square and I know many handles on Nairaland will become redundant immediately cool
The boldened is what makes it difficult, the scales will not fall easily. The bulk of masses can hardly decipher an unelected performer !.

As regard the january 2012 mass protest, if you will recall, an ethnic dimension was also introduced, and the protest was not nationwide, some regions did not join the protest.

mekaboy: The proposed 300,000 barrel per day
Greenfield Lekki Refinery located in
Lagos may remain in the realm of
wishful thinking of the Lagos State
government and the stakeholders if
the alleged flaws in the new Petroleum
Industry Bill (PIB) are not immediately
addressed.
Some of the investors told LEADERSHIP
Sunday in Lagos that they backed out
of the project because of some of the
contentious clauses in the PIB before
the National Assembly. “The
International Oil Companies (IOCs)
driving the Lekki Refinery are
reluctant to risk their money in the
project because of some provisions in
the PIB. The bill is not in our interest.
We want the status quo to be
maintained as in pre-PIB Joint Venture
Agreement with the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and
the Lagos State government,” said one
of them. “Right now, I must tell you
that investors are worried that the
passing of the PIB in its present form
will automatically reverse the earlier
agreements.
The provisions of the PIB cede too
much power to the government at the
expense of the investors. There is also
this feeling among the investors that
when the PIB is eventually passed the
host communities’ equity participation
in the upstream oil and gas industry
will be increased. The 8 per cent the
IOCs think is right going but the PIB
will increase it to 10 per cent.”
He added that these facts, coupled
with frequent changes in the top
management of the NNPC by the
federal government, had made
sourcing of funds for the $8 billion
project difficult.
LEADERSHIP Sunday’s visit to the Lekki
Free Trade Zone (LFTZ), the proposed
site of the refinery, showed that the
envisaged 2017 streaming date might
not be realised as nothing was on the
ground to demonstrate the seriousness
of the investors to deliver the project.
It was observed that, since the signing
of the agreement between the Lagos
State government and the NNPC in
collaboration with a consortium of
Chinese investors known as ChinaState
last year for the establishment of the
refinery under a public-private
partnership (PPP) arrangement,
nothing tangible had been done.
If the stakeholders had gone ahead
with the construction of the refinery as
planned, it would have, in addition to
the above crude output, produced
500,000 metric tonnes of liquefied
petroleum gas (LPG) per annum.
Under the arrangement, the Chinese
are expected to provide 80 per cent of
the funds, leaving 20 per cent to the
NNPC. The Lagos State government
will, in addition to providing the land
for the project, construct
infrastructure such as road to the site
and electricity.
Optimistic that the partnership would
work, Governor Babatunde Fashola,
who recently received a delegation of
the investors led by the group
executive director, engineering and
technology of the NNPC, Billy Agha,
said the state was set for the multi-
billion-naira refinery
The governor said the project was
coming at the most opportune time,
adding that the government did not
foresee any hurdle in the project with
the involvement of the Chinese
investors because the state was
already partnering with another group
of Chinese investors on the
development of the first phase of the
LFTZ.
The NNPC management hopes that the
Lekki refinery, when completed, will
provide over 7,000 jobs for both skilled
and unskilled labour
What is this nonsense you are coming up with, one of the scams of the PDP government, greenfield refinery angry angry a PDP SCAM. since you have made this about oil,

Fact 1 THE SW currently produces more oil than the SE.

Lagos oilfield to start production in 2014
January 2, 2013 by Stanley Opara

Lagos oilfield

Lagos oilfield

By 2014, oil is expected to be produced for the first time offshore Lagos State from the Aje gas and condensate field, which lies in Oil Mining Lease 113 in the Benin Basin, about 43 kilometres offshore Lagos.

The field is currently in the development planning stage, with first production expected in 2014, according to the United States Energy Information Administration’s website.

Aje field is expected to reach a plateau production of between 50,000 to 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day. The water depth in the region is 3,000 feet.

Key shareholders in the field include Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum and Chevron.

Chevron was appointed as the technical advisor to the operator for the project and also assigned the responsibility of preparing a development plan for the field.

The OML 113 licence covers an area of 960 square kilometres and contains several prospects, including the Jubilee and Tweneboa fields.

OML 113 was originally known as Oil Operating Licence 309 and was awarded to YFP in 1991 to encourage the growth of the Nigerian oil industry. Following the successful discovery of the Aje field, the licence was converted to OML 113 in 1998 with a term of 20 years.

Aje was discovered by the Aje-1 well in 1996. The well encountered oil and gas over three zones of the Cretaceous Turonian age. It flowed at the rate of 60.2 million standard cubic feet of gas a day; 1,729 barrels of condensate a day; and 2,389 barrels of oil a day.

In 1997 an appraisal well, Aje-2, was drilled one kilometre east of the Aje-1 well. It confirmed the presence of oil and gas in the Turonian reservoir as discovered by the Aje-1 well and encountered a deeper separate additional zone of the Cenomanian formation.

A third well, Aje-3, was drilled by Transocean’s Sedco 709 semi-submersible rig in 2005. Although the reservoir quality was not optimum, the well encountered an oil and gas bearing column within the Turonian and Cenomanian reservoirs.

In the first quarter of 2008, another appraisal well called Aje-4 was drilled by the Transocean Deepwater Pathfinder drill-ship to carry out a complete appraisal of the field. Aje-4 well was drilled to assess the extent of the field and identify additional exploration targets. The well encountered hydrocarbon reserves in the main Turonian reservoir.

Drilling of the Aje-4 well confirmed the field contains a laterally extensive reservoir structure. The field was declared a commercial prospect in February 2009.

Appraisal of the field was based on 915km of 2D seismic data, 700km2 of 3D seismic data and an electromagnetic survey.

Aje is primarily a gas condensate field formed in a four-way dip closure trap. It contains gas and oil in the Turonian and Cenomanian reservoirs and an additional gas layer of the Albian formation.

Gross contingent resources of the Aje field are estimated at 380 million boe. Of this 28 per cent is oil/condensate, 20 per cent is Liquefied Petroleum Gas and 52 per cent is gas.

The field is planned to be developed as a subsea tie back to a floating, production, storage and offloading vessel.

A total of six producers are planned for the field. They will be connected to sub sea wellheads and associated flowlines and manifolds in 320-feet water depth. The flowlines will, in turn, be connected to the FPSO through risers.

Produced hydrocarbons will be processed by the FPSO and exported through the West African Gas Pipeline or through a direct pipeline to connect to the Lagos gas infrastructure.
PoliticsRe: What Will Become Of NIGERIA If SS And SE Unite And Breakout Of Nigeria? by emiye(m):
mekaboy: Ofcourse thay produce more and supply more of the imported oil. How many minutes will the oil reserve last as soon as SS and SE break out.? Don't forget that majority of the fuel is refined outside and imported.

When we leave, where will SW see the oil to produce.
Dont be decieved, the current oil production from Ondo state is more than the oil produced from all the SE state, Lagos will start his oil field production by 2014. Refineries can be built in 18 months.

mekaboy: Whether asari is serious or north, the SS can't stand alone. They have tasted power, they won't let go to be bullied back into their shell after 2015 election.
If the SS cant stand alone, they also might not be able to stand you, what are you bringing to the table? In no time, you will be seen as parasites grin grin
mekaboy: The SE is fine by itself, we have enough oil to support Nigeria as the SS has been doing. We will refine ours and export more.

I am sure a liTter of petrol will be selling for about N10 because we will have excess. Do you think the SS will join the north that has bullied them for years? Or join the SW the slaves of the north?
You can as well sell a litre of petrol for 1 naira, btw, are you not supposed to be spending biafran pounds grin grin
mekaboy: For the SS to make any remarkable statement in Nigeria come 2015 they need the SE.

Imagine a northerner taking over 2015 and stop amnesty for ND militants and start amnesty for boko haram. With oil money gotten from SS? Of course SW can't say anything its only the SE that can question the north. But what's our business, unless the SS come and ask us to help them, we go sidon dey look.
Dont be decieved the SS will not breakout with you, the SE is currently a pawn in SS chess game. cool
PoliticsRe: What Will Become Of NIGERIA If SS And SE Unite And Breakout Of Nigeria? by emiye(m):
mekaboy: The SS oil has been sustaining Nigeria since, the SE oil is untapped.as for if the SS will want to join the SE, you can ask asari dokubo.
Untapped where, you might be right though, but the SW seems to have a greater potential than the SE, Lagos and Ogun state have proven large oil reserves
mekaboy: The SS pple have seen their mistake, they have seen what the igbos saw and wanted to breakout, they can't break out alone, neither can they withstand the North and the SW alone.

They have seen who their real enemies are. Even in the last elections, they saw the role the SE played to make sure their person won.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, grin Dont tell me you are deceived by Asari, he speaks with both sides of his mouth a lot, he is saying all that because his ijaw man is the current president, and he needs a second term for him. dont take too highly political statement from asari, no permanent friend in politics but permanent interest.

mekaboy: Your talking about output in terms of distribution, when the pipe lines are blown up from the SS and only the refineries in SS and SE (orient petroleum) have oil to refine. What will the output in the SW west be? Groundnut oil.
No, i am talking of output in terms of current production, the SW currently produces oil more than the SE. cool

mekaboy: Just wondering, Since Nigeria depends on oil. If SS and SE that have oil unite and break out of Nigeria. What will happen to the rest?

War Start. Lol
OP, i have a feeling you are from the SE, at the moment Oil output from the SW is more than that of SE.

How sure are you that the SS will want to unite with those from the SE, since SS will contribute over 90% of oil?.

wesley80: ^ I just dont get people like you, this line of thought about "Ghettos not supposed to exist" shocks me to the marrow. Do you know "jack" about Lagos state? Like really do you even have a clue? How do you define a Ghetto? Is the population of Lagos state an asset or a liability? If you were to fashion out an economic policy you mean you'll recommend de-populating Lagos to say the size of Abuja? To what end if I may ask?
This whole line of thot has been circling on and on and you all are beginning to make it sound like population is the problem of Lagos rather than the obvious case of "skewed and poorly co-ordinated development". I put it to you that the population of Lagos is her greatest asset and those shanties and ghettoes you say should not be allowed to develop are just a natural consequence of the govts poor development plan.
Yes, ghettoes are not supposed to exist !!!!, it is an eye sore to the state, all over the world attempt should be made to depopulate slums, and not expand slums, even the MDGs recognises that in goal 7, target 7.10.

Many of the slum dwellers have no business staying in urban lagos, they also do not make wise decisions, they breed like pigs with no concrete plan for the offsprings thereby enthrenching a vicious cycle of poverty, hopelessness and an expanding slum.

I put it to you that the population of Lagos is her greatest asset and those shanties and ghettoes you say should not be allowed to develop are just a natural consequence of the govts poor development plan.
Yes the population is one of the greatest asset, but it can also be a curse, most especially when majority do not pay tax and create a nuisance value. You talk about govts poor development plan a cause of the ghettoes, i agree with you, but the biggest blame goes to the FG at the centre, and many other state governors not stemming the tide of rural-urban migration, lack of employment opportunities across the nation e.t.c

The only thing I care about is rapid development.
Buhari and GEJ cannot deliver development, so I cannot support them.
You have to learn to simulate the minds of the bulk voters spread across regions, and present a candidate that will capture their varying sentiments, it is the reality about elections.

Dislodging the PDP from the centre is an arduos task i must confess, like in a game chess, you will have to make some sacrifice if you must win this game.

Michaeljones36: 1. I was talking about Fashola running for President, not Buhari.

2. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION DAYS HAVE HIGHER TURNOUT!

3. Fashola runs the largest state in the nation by population. 6000 people move there everyday.

4. It's about the combination of taking votes away from GEJ and giving them to ACN + CPC + ANPP

I'll be back in a sec with more info.
The total number of voters for the 2011 presidential election in lagos was in the neighbourhood of 2 million .

sadly, Elections in nigeria is still hinged on regional and religious sentiments, and any good political strategist must put that in consideration in fielding a candidate. If you field in fasola a swesterner, you have suceeded in weakening the northern base, a segment of the north currently feel cheated at the moment having only tasted power 2years out of the total 16 years of current democratic dispensation.

2. shamefully, at the moment the SW / SS /SE do not speak the same political language.

IT IS IMPORTANT YOU STRIKE A BALANCE in fielding a candidate taking into cognisance this realities.

the best cndidates in terms of brilliance and ideology do not necessarily win elections.

Why did a relatively unknown shagari defeat Awolowo in 1979 P.E ?
PoliticsRe: 2015: Merger Parties Pick Buhari by emiye(m): 2:44pm On May 05, 2013
Michaeljones36: Let's be clear.

Lagos State has 20 million inhabitants.
GEJ received 18 million votes and became President.
Fashola won Lagos state with 80% of the vote in 2011.

If Fashola brings Lagos State, and the entire South West, while TAKING AWAY those votes from GEJ, the election is finished.

APC will just need a few votes from the North to close the deal.
your analysis is terribly wrong, elections do not operate like that.

1. GEJ won with 22 million votes in 2011

2. Not all inhabitants of a state are qualified to vote

3. Not all those qualified to vote will register to vote

4. not all those who register to vote will actually vote.

only 1.5 million voters voted for Fashola in 2011, representing 82% of total votes.
PoliticsRe: 2015: Merger Parties Pick Buhari by emiye(m): 2:22pm On May 05, 2013
my own submission about buhari as APC Presidential candidate is that he is possibly the most optimal candidate at the moment.

1. GEJ of 2015 will be weaker in the northern axis than GEJ OF 2011.

2. Most northern PDP GOVERNORS will not be seeking re-election in 2015, less vibrant PDP campaign

3. the main opposition parties will not split their votes in 2015, unlike 2011 (buhari / shekarau / ribadu)

4. More funds will be available for grass root campaign to the APC Campaign unlike 2011

5. The real opportunity area is the south west and north central, not the ss or se.

6. Based on the current realities a muslim/muslim ticket should not be placed forward, i have changed my mind on the buhari/fashola ticket.

7. Buhari will be fortunate to get 10-15% of the SS +SE votes, only if the VP candidate is one of the current governors from that region.

i will suggest a buhari / oshiomole (not sure he is a christian though) or buhari / rochas.

with this, it is possible to obtain over 50% votes for the APC.

Is it not cynical and insincere to blame the federal government even when it is clear that even they, state government are not supportive of the efforts of already existing local manufacturers. Innoson for instance has tried against all odds to go into the business of manufacturing vehicles, so far, he manufactures mostly the kind of buses used by the Lagos BRT buses, how has the Lagos government supported his effort? So far, the bulk of IVM vehicles are sold in the SouthEastern states, the question is why? I know IVM has a sales outlet somewhere around cele-ijesha-mile 2 roads, why are they not getting support from Mr Fashola if realy he is concerned and sincere about the plight of these people? The whole idea is ridiculous and seemed to be born out of parochial considerations to score cheap political points. how can any serious government go into a heavy duty sect like automobile assembly just so they can serve only the their own transport system? So he will just open an automobile assembly against the already existing ones just so he can assemble BRT buses alone, Dumb, dmub, dumb, dumb. . . and his praise singers are here licking his poo and buttt as usual. Nigerians and their subtle tribalism will never let them see the bigger picture, I bet if innoson was a Yoruba man, there will be no story like this dumb one making the news.
The more production plants set up in the country the better, jobs to be created, technology to be transferred. why exhibit subtle tribalism in stating that Fashola should patronise innoson motors ? because he is an igbo man like you i guess. Are all government vehicles in anambra state, the location of innoson plants now made by innoson. Has ekene dilichukwu and all big buses of igbo transport merchants now made by innoson?

I will be glad to hear more production plants being set up anywhere in the country. Gradually, local competition will help to further strengthen and shape the automobile market.
PoliticsRe: Ifeanyi Uba Unfolds Plans For Anambra by emiye(m): 2:54pm On Apr 29, 2013
berem: Anambra Guber: Uba Unveils Himself

Anambra State could be said to have figuratively moved to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria, when traditional rulers and presidents generals of town unions from the state converged to discuss with one of their illustrious sons, who wants to vie for governorship.

It was a meeting, where businessman and philanthropist, Dr. Ifeanyi Uba unfolded the plans he has for the state, if elected governor in November.

Indeed, the meeting was part of the consultation, which Uba, chairman and chief executive officer of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, has embarked upon, in his quest to become governor of Anambra State. He also used the occasion to show his guests his business empire, in a facility tour of his companies and business offices.

This, it was gathered, was to let them know that with such big investment, he's not going into government to make money for himself but to work for the socio-economic development of Anambra State.

To be sure, the facility tour revealed so much about Uba. It proved beyond any doubt that he was on ground in business. He is a man who knows his onions in his chosen field of business endeavour. It shows his leadership qualities, as, having successfully managed his business he has all it takes to also successfully manage the human and material resources of Anambra.

It should be mentioned here that this is the first time a business mogul from Anambra State, who is interested in the governorship of the state, has conducted his people round his business facilities and investments as well as let them into his activities. With this Uba scored a first.

The f tour of Uba's facilities has another thing to commend it for. It is a testimony to the businessman's willingness to sacrifice all he has to liberate Anambra from the shackles of poverty, penury and deprivation. With such positive expose, the good people of Anambra State would not have any doubt whatsoever that Uba is a fit and proper person to be the governor of their state.

Having honoured Uba's invitation in Lagos, they have made a statement to the effect that they believe in this selfish young man, who has, through his "Kero Direct," brought kerosene to the doorsteps of rural and poor people, at a subsidise price, among his other philanthropic gestures.

At the meeting, Uba made his case and gave his guest the floor to ask questions. Of course, the people did ask questions and he was meek and humbly in his answers to the questions. And this is the way it should be, for after all, democracy is government of the people by the people for the people. It was a pretty long town hall meeting of sorts, which lasted from 8pm till 7am the following day.

This shows that Uba is a man who listens and likes to receive ideas from the people. This cross-fertilization of ideas is what drives democracy and leads to good governance.

After the interaction, the people were not only impressed but they were also of the firm view that Uba is the man who God has prepared and positioned to save Anambra State from the ruin and maladministration of yesteryears. The good people of Anambra State do not need to search further or any longer, for the Messiah is here. They have found out from the tour that Uba's investment is huge, massive and outstanding.

The facilities included ships, jetties, depots, filling stations, tankers, and a host of others. It became apparent from findings from the tour that. Uba's Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited is one of the biggest distributors of petroleum products in Nigeria.

Of great importance is the fact that Capital Oil & Gas has been a major player in the downstream sector even before the subsidy regime. The company has tankers, which supply fuel all over the country. In fact, the activities of the company in the area of supply of petroleum products is one of the reasons fuel is available everywhere today. This is because while other companies hoard fuel in order to make huge profit, Uba's companies are only interested in making the products available to all and sundry. Profit is not the driving force for the company.

On a personal level, Uba awards scholarships to indigent students. There are students who attend various schools in Nigeria, courtesy of Uba's sponsorship. He tars roads everywhere. His filling stations supply fuel free of charge to motorcyclists in Nnewi every Monday. He intervenes in all cases where poor people are being discriminated against or marginalised.

He donates money throughout the federation in pursuant of worthy causes.

This may be the reason his detractors wanted to rubbish him recently by framing him up. To God be the glory, he was vindicated by the court, the court of public opinions and by the National Assembly. It became apparent that his adversaries in business were afraid of his rising profile and success story and they tried to pull him down by tarnishing his image and painting him in black colours as a man who could not settle his debts.

Anambrarians should search no more for a Messiah. We have one already in Uba. All the good people of Anambra State should now take a decision to crown and elect Uba as the next governor of the state. Uba is a great Igbo man who loves his people and Nigeria alike, with great passion and dedication.

His love for the Igbo became even more manifest when he committed a huge sum of money towards giving the deceased Igbo sage and leader, Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, a decent national and befitting burial.

Uba has come to judgment in Anambra. He is the Messiah Anambra needs. As Jesus was proclaimed by the Almighty God as his beloved son in whom he was well pleased, Anambra people say that Uba is their beloved son in whom they are not only pleased but also in whom they repose great hope and confidence to lead them to the land of promise.

Surely, the cap of governorship of Anambra fits Uba. Let him wear it.

We need men little him, who are richer than the government they want to control and who will not misappropriate public funds, but will augment the same with their own money. We need patriots in power. We need statesmen. We need good men.

Uba is his own man and his own candidate. Politicians who are relying on godfathers should be shunned. The era of godfatherism should be over. The godsons have ruined many states and governments. A distinguished personality and wealthy businessman like Uba will not dip his hands into the coffers of government to help himself because he is richer than the government he will control. Uba is not coming to government to make money.

He is not seeking political office to acquire wealth or buy private jet, which he already has. Uba is coming to create wealth in Anambra, reinvigorate the economy resuscitate ailing infrastructure, provide employment and give hope to the people.

The leaders in Anambra State have seen it all. They are in a position to assess Uba and his pedigree.

anonimi: You provide Lagos budget & population figures from 1979 to date and I will show you CLEARLY that Tinubu and Fashola in 14 years had MORE money (adjusted for inflation) than Jakande had in only 4 years and YET he performed well beyond the riff-raff duo who rely on propaganda while stealing Lagos residents blind.
Deal huh
You are a mumu, are you not the one implicitly claiming you know the budget per capita of Jakande and Awolowo.?

So you dont have it, just your usual whipping of emotions and sensationalism.

anonimi: Awolowo had MUCH LESS REAL dudget per capita (annual budget/population) adjusted for inflation 60 years ago and adressed all BASIC services including roads. UPN's Jakande did the same with LESS budget per capita when crude oil prices were in the range of USD30 unlike today when it hovers around USD100 and is SHARED from the federation account based on population. Awolowo did not even have oil money but depended mainly on cocoa proceeds. And we know what he did.

So we should stop making LAME excuses for the CLUELESS non performer duo of Tinubu & Fashola who have been in POWER for 14 years

1,2,3,4 years Tinubu
5,6,7,8 years Tinubu
9,10,11,12 years Fashola
13,14 years Fashola

and only have cheap & cheerful but hyper inflated white elephant projects in VI, Ikoyi, Lekki and a few spots in Ikeja & Surulere.
Meanwhile no pipeborne water, inadequate PUBLIC primary & secondary schools, inadequate primary health centres, increasde fees of LASU that was built by Jakande who had LESS REAL budget per individual etc.

The megalomaniacs in ACN only talk about true federalism they have not taken any LEGISLATIVE action towards it despite the various constitution amendment that has taken place since 1999.
Bunch of shameless HYPOCRITES and CONMEN.
you have started blowing hot air again.
Put your figures where your mouth is.

What was Jakande's budget ? What was the population? likewise if you can not back it with figures, keep shut FOREVER. What was the Nairas value to a dollar.

Let me help you, the Naira was stronger than the US dollar as at 1985.

@rammon2 that is part of the challenges the LASG face, imagine all that waste dump in to drainage by some idiiots and possibly including you that posted this, in the event of a flood you turn back and cry ah fashola.
lot of nigerians are too emotional to understand cause and effect relationship. A mega city will surely have to do a lot in coping with challenges like insecurity, waste management, transportation, e.t.c. This challenges are surmounted with projects and programmes that need money ! yes, money ! If you fail to pay taxes, you have no right to make complaints, you are a liability to Lagos state with serious nuisance value, you will do well keeping your mouth shut.

mindtricks: The real mumu should be he who does not lack the capacity, but lack the ability and selfcontrol to say his mind without throwing insults at persons contrary views in a public forum like this. Forumites are simply worth no regard when they simply cant do without calling others names. True Federalism? True talk but the last thing your legislature will grant.
Are you Anomumui in a different moniker ? you better come out from hiding.

I associate that guys posts with that of a mumu, he lacks a lot of depth, he thrives in sensationalism and whipping emotions, in actual fact, with all due respect he is worse than a mumu.

I have a gut feeling PDP, kwara will lose at the gubernatorial election to the opposition in 2015.

My gut feelings are hardly wrong, they are proven with time, someone can bookmark this.

You benchmark with the best ? Do they have the same kind of budget and population?

Lagos with N470 billion per annum ( 3biilion USD/year ) and 18 million population .

Then in your mumu mind, you expect Lagos to churn out performance similar with places and cities operating with 10 times her budget and half her population.

@ OP, how much tax, do you even pay annually to Lagos state ? is it that your peanut you pay they will use to fix all the roads in Lagos state, The state govt has done well, may be that road you are complaining about is still a huge forest in your state, or at best a foot path , get this in to your thick head, Lagos State has the largest urban sprawl, it comes with serious challenges.

Until we solve our structural problem we will continue with the mediocrity , we see all over Nigeria, TRUE FEDERALISM is the way out, i hope the new party has that in its manifesto. To hell with concurrent and exclusive list, except maybe defence and foreign affairs.
