ikorodureporta:This biased story is still trending? Nigeria is the only country that's not qualified for it because they already have over the 50,000 a country gets for the diversity in Visa. What it means is nigerians are more in the USA than any other african country. Including us will only increase nigerians too while their main aim of diversity would be thwarted |
From the tone, it's a friendly fool, not fool as in real fool. But my freind that i like real fool. I use it all the time so i know it's just freind something |
You see their placards and banners with same color and design no variance. What that shows is this protest is one person's idea, probably from that gandollar himself. A real protest there is variation in message, messenger and the mode of passing the message. All i can see here is one state loyal to the fed government trying to show their ignorance. They don't pay tax like we do in the south or west. All those you see in that protest have nothing at all that sars would even want. I bet they've never seen SARS before. Backward people that'll like to pull everyone down with them. All i want is a Nigeria where there's a difference between the north and south. No matter the ipob and oduduwa agitation, southerners can still manage their issues. |
DonCrack:That's a jeep wrangler not a Benz |
Can this energy against sars be transferred to governance? SARS is just a name, the moment they change name there'll be no reason for protest. The way this protest is going i see it making a change but that change wont help us in the long run. If governance is fixed and everyone is made to abide by law or face consequences even the so called SARS would think twice before raising a gun cos they know there'll be afyer effect of whatever action they take. |

*g*r phone, igbo man i was called. I never had a phone but bought second hand phones cheap and sold them double price without battery, memory card etc. Then sold those seperately or rented them out to students during school days for 2go and games, i charged 50 naira for 2 hands of 5 minutes for pes 2010. 2go was 300 a day while you'll have to rent fully charged battery for extra. I even bought snacks, lollipop, 10 naira peanuts, wafer stix biscuits and sold them double through the girls i had from class A to F. My business model was give it to them on credit, and made them pay later with interest if they default. Till some of my mates decided to put hand in the same business I did, even my neighbor i walked with back home or to stores to get my products started selling and to make it worse sold the same thing. As a boss I left the turf for them into lending them money to do their business, and started funding other people with loans to compete with other people dat started doing same business as me. Thereby making business unfavourable but for them and still got my 20% kickback per days sales and my capital back. Government School was interesting |
Op seems you're not happy about the course. I wasted 2 years in edu maths. Took me that 2 years to realise that I had no interest and also the balls to leave it. I applied for rediography first time i got 230 that wasn't enough and a D in chemistry, second time i got 260 got admission letter but was falsely accused of impersonation during waec so i still couldn't get admitted as i had no ssce for that. I got frustrated and linked up with a relative in school who pulled strings and got me edu maths, from beginning i felt i was overqualified for that course, it just wasn't for me i tried to manage it, well in the process i found my calling it wasn't radiography talkless edu maths it was CS i already had love for it and everything computer related. Study materials were easier to get and all with serious lectures who knew their stuff. Unlike education where most staff there behave like a Normal civil servant. If you're interested in pol science I'd say start with what you have and still write jamb again for pol science. Or if you can edu admin or some other thing but adult education. |

As i d baf day before yesterday, it hit me that we are complaining about poor State of education in Nigeria. And i then realized 35 to 40k for school fees a year is just a mere 100 to 120 dollars, So we pay just 10 dollars a month to get the quality education we feel we deserve from our country. Why won't we suffer in uni when the uni itself can't generate enough funds to work efficiently on its own. It's as if the education sector too is also on subsidy. A whole university that's even supposed to be contributing to the economy is taking away from the government and a so called association with its eyes fixed on it's own benefits, before the school which would also benefit them and lastly the students who should be the mainomain character of the whole nigerian education drama. Private secondary schools charge 2 to 3 times that ammount per term amounting up to 220k a year then paying 40k we become entitled to things because of the sociocultural effect of mismanagement, maladministration, and ability of our leaders to see the bigger picture (they do!) But fear of criticism from the masses or effects on their reelection bid makes them not to see what they know is in front of them. I hate to compare a 60 year old nation to one of over 200 years but in this situation i can't help it as we all are fond of comparisons. The United States and UK that we idolize their education system recieve funding from government, alumni, companies etc still have an expensive institution, textbooks alone will put you in debt before you even start. The cost of 2 MIT texts for fresher's is More than the fees for a federal university in Nigeria. My point is just like the so called fuel subsidy nonsense the government talks about, the government should remove the subsidy on education and let it chart it's own course while funding them as privilege and not obligation. Assu is a union for academic staff which is their sole objective. They can't claim to be fighting for the good of the whole education sector when we have NUC ( as useless as they are). The government can't keep paying what they pay and still we see no changes, government has been funding universities from inception but yet we still cry of this and that as we can't boast of one single thing in a university that's upto standard. What's the guarantee then that after paying this money ASUU wants everything will be alright. It's not as if as the money enters their account all the rot in the system would go away it would take years, years of theft, bad management and maintenance culture and we'll get back to square one. In a situation where the university is responsible for it's own working system with financials inclusive with the power to develop and expand the university while also the management giving account of each expenditure i think there'll be a step forward and a gradual improvement to the never ending drama. The government gets out of the mix and the university management and so called unions hold themselves accountable ( slow but steady wins the race) ASUU is an obstacle... the obstacle is the way... You either go through it or remain behind. Your opinions are welcome |

SharonLoveth:1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4.A God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. If were to follow the original and first account of creation, we'd realise that Sunday was the first day of God's creation where he created light and everything else followed, 5 . And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day On the seventh day he ended his work, blessed it and rested. From God's request he wanted d 7th day as sabath and not what day Jesus resurrected, You say Sunday is sabath because we chose it to be so, who are the people that changed it to be so? " The pagans" Constantine it fitted their own narrative that way they mixed their practises with Christianity |
