Well the major issue why we don't have power has a lot to do with the fact that we sell power below its production cost.Keep in mind that power has been largely in private hands since 2013.

Right now, it costs N53 to produce one Kwh of power. From 2013-2020, power was sold by DISCOS at N20-30 per kwh...meaning DIScos were losing N20-30 per kwh sold. As a result of ther lack of profits....there has been no money to fix power. Add the fact that 40% of power customers don't pay bills at all...and you see the problem

let them give d prepaid meters n u il see people manage their power, they then look out for people who by pass their meters, when u don't put proper things in place, room is given for low production, n stealing, causing d loss of profits.

The main reason is our reliance on revenues from the sale of oil and so on whose prices we don't control and whose prices fluctuate severely.

Like now, oil prices have been in a steady fall since 2014.Hence we are in crisis.

Nigeria has to transition to an industrial economy and also become an exporter of industrial goods and services needed by the world.

That is where d looting comes in, u can't become an industrial nation without infrastructures in place. We r behind in providing enough power for domestic use talk less of industrial use, money earmarked for projects r looted by d people in govt n d projects r not even done, PHCN that was privatised, can't give customers prepaid meters, cus they r stealing by giving estimated bills n d govt is looking d other way, foreign bodies see all these things n il not advice their business men to invest in a country like Nigeria. Bad n fluctuating policies killing d economy, they r just out of their dept in managing the country, everywhere everything is going to pieces.
