I think you didn't watch the game at all.  Messi had a brilliant game. he had such a mature game last night, i was shocked. He played out of position,  in case you missed it, and was the only reason we had possession for so long,  he was able to hold up the ball for us and pass it on (giving us pretty much a 4 man midfield) . . not trying to dribble unless he saw that he could do it successfully. . meanwhile CRonaldo was trying to be superhero right from the 1st second, with no consideration for team-play. Messi is not just an individual talent, but a team player in every sense of the word, and last night he showed me another side of his game that i have never seen. It was hard to tell who had the ball sometimes between Xavi and Messi,  we were just butter
Don't get me wrong bro. . . .he had a great evening. but hey, assuming he had not Xavi and Iniesta? it wouldn't be the same
Playing him in the Centre was a tactical change to keep posession. Remember the RM v barca game two saturdays ago?
he swapped with Etoo just like last nite to explore the hole in Central defence. . . . same happened yesterday. he even dropped into the middle.
to help keep possession which is what i think made it possible for them to win. . . .As for Ronaldo, his case is for another day. grin grin

My point, Messi wouldn't have had soo great if not for the Xaviniesta!!

Its only someone who watches football on a MW band transistor radio that will say that Vidic is overrated!!
Tell who a better defender is? He is a world class defender! Its also sad that you fail to realise that as humans, everyone has a deficiency.
he has been able to do well to cover up for his lack of pace. . . .so quit it that crap of an argument.

Vidic is world class. . . . . . .You are better of a Diver and not a footie analyst!! tongue tongue

Ronaldo is already on his way out!

Benzema and Ribery wont wanna come to United, after that pathetic display lastnight!

Manchester United will struggle to attract top players in the summer on the back of lastnight plus you dont even have the money!

I hope the budget for Molotov's hair gel is scrapped this season, £1 Milli on hair gel plus approx £40 milli in transfer fees? RIP OFF! shocked shocked grin
Ronaldo on his way out? He know better now. . . . . .he will beg Fergie to keep. . . . at least am sure he won't be at Arsenal. . . it will look like a curse tongue

MrCrackles:
Benzema and Ribery wont wanna come to United, after that pathetic display lastnight!

Manchester United will struggle to attract top players in the summer on the back of lastnight plus you dont even have the money!
Benzema and Ribery will do anything to play in the UCL finals. . . . presently, BM and Lyon can't achieve that in donkey years. . . .  all we need is ask and it shall be given unto us grin tongue
Arsenal can't boast of that can they?

Krayola:
Cristiano Ronaldo is a show-boater, a talented one. Messi is a footballing God. I loved Messi yesterday, getting up after being fould and trying to continue his run. . . over and over again. . .

remember when we played Chelsea I said Barcelona NEVER play dirty if the opposition respect themselves and actually play football. The reason why we wen't into the gutter was because shameless Chelsea dragged us there with their agbero tactics. . Thats why I'm not really slnging too much mud at Man U because at least they went for a win. I was surprised when I saw them push so far up the pitch at the  start of the game (pleasantly surprised because I knew it was suicide). But at least Ferguson had faith in his boys, however misguided.

The only reason Cronaldo won the accolades last season was because he scored an insane amount of goals and his team won 2 trophies. But watching both players consistently week in week out, no sane football fan can conclude that CRonaldo is a better player. . . regardless of results
It looks like you didn't watch the game well. . . . . we didn't suffer from Messi, we sufferd from a disease called Xaviniesta. . . .have you heard of that?
Cut this two off and you have crippled Barca. . . .lets just say we didn't cope well. It was always gonna be difficult getting back into the game if Barca scores first and that was what exactly happened. It took minutes to get the ball back when they were in possession. Even when we had the ball, we didn't put it to good use. . . . Again, CR7 was just on his own no helper, on a night Messi had Xavi and Iniesta to give it to him. I would say he was better yesternight this, encapsulates what it takes to win a great like yesterday. . . . . last yr when it was ours, it was Ronaldo who scored.

All in all, i do love to have someone like him in me team, but Ronaldo is a more complete player than him. I also think Ronaldo was out to impress yesterday pro'lly cos of all the hype prior to the game.
Let me know what else you think?

Congrats to you bro!! you deserve ya victory!!

Man U disappointed me last night. First five minutes, and it looked like it was gonna be a stroll in the park
And then G B A M!!! Etoo strikes. . . .the rest they say is history. . . I knew we where gonna have problems if they scored first.

We got the tactics wrong. . . we laid back to be flogged. . .we didn't raise up to the challenge.
Fergie looked bereft of ideas and i was more disappointed seeing Ronaldo trying to impress!! Impress Who?

I just believe in one thing, we fall to rise. . . . .the old horses should pls hang in the boots while the young guys should pick up.

i know Giggs can do it but ill love to see him come from the bench cos this game will be decided in the 2nd half
the first half will be a ding dong cos nobody will want to get hurt in the first few minutes

Emperoh
Ill briefly be at the Heineken Planet and ruuuun as fast as my legs could carry me to the airport.
Penthouse is not a bad idea tho
Are u hitting the airways tonight? Not a memorable Champions League Night as this!!!
Anyway, Giggs has gotten the nod. . . . . . baring any last minute changes, this is the likely line-up

                                  Van Der Saar
     O'shea          Vidic                 Ferdinand       Evra

                Giggs          Carrick            Anderson

             Rooney                              Park

                                 Ronaldo

if you object, give me a better line-up and formation!!!

Its not the sports bar. The place im talking about is called the Heineken Planet
The final will be strictly by invitation. I was there at the last UCL final i think with DK sef grin

Its a cool place. Just for correct guys like ya.

U can try The Penthouse Suite XVIII opposite Eko Hotel. Beside Kuramo pry school.
Tonite is d nite grin

Giggs cant start this kinda game na
u want Xavi to kill him? grin as for me, anybody tht gets on that turf will do us proud so no worries
You must be a chronic crawler to know about the Pent House Suite!
Have never been there but i will include it in me options right away. . . . .
Meanwhile, where will you be watching from?

Who should be in his place. . . . . . Tevez in me opinion is better off a sub!!
Pundits think Ando- Carrick- Giggs will do it. . . . . . . You don't wanna see scholes do you?

Now it took an injured hargreaves for us to see the ability in Fletcher. . . . i think Giggs should just nick it!

The formation against Arsenal will work wonders.
All i just need is a perfect cover for O'shea and i believe Park and Anderson can do that
I don't need Messi running rings round Evra so pro'lly Ando to cup his right leg and he's finished

I don't like 4-3-3 but this seems the only formation that can work with these guys.
That defence Puyol-Yaya-Agent Pique-Silvinho? I can only smell danger. CR7 go kill person

Berbatov should pls ot come near the pitch. I am also afraid Fergie will field Giggs or Scholes. . . . .one of these OAPs will feature. . . . . . when is another issue. I pray its when its all wrapped.

Whether Rio plays or Evans, our defence is the edge we have over Barca.
If we can be more matured and play with character, we will surely come out tops.

Evans is trusted to do the job. Same as O'shea who despite his errors always gets it right just somehow

Babel's only good thing is that he is an accomplished diver in the box. Using his 'speed' to fool the ref. Apart from that, he's obviously not good enough. He was played wide, but was shyte, so Rafa brought in Rieira who played better in one season than Babel's two seasons combined. grin

Even as a striker, Ngog is showing more potential than he is. I'm glad AW didn't waste money on him. We have enough trouble eliminating Walcott's Ikedia tendencies - two players would be too much. grin
