TO ALL GUNNERS. I'M A MADRID FAN AND I ALSO LIKE LIVERPOOL, EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOCKED US OUT. (MAY GOD FORGIVE THEM CUZ I HAVE). I'M GIVING ARSENAL MY FULL SUPPORT, EVEN THOUGH YOU SPOILT THEIR CHANCES OF WINNING THE EPL( MAY GOD FORGIVE YOU ALSO). HOW MANY OF YOU OUT THERE FEEL THAT THERE IS A CONSPIRACY IN FAVOUR OF MANURE. WHEN I WAS WATCHING THE MANURE-LIVERPOOL GAME AT THE VERY VERY OLD TRAFFORD, THE COMMENTATOR MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT THE PENALTY GIVEN TO LIVERPOOL. HE SAID AND I QUOTE " NO CLUB HAS COME HERE AND WON A PENALTY IN 4 YEARS" UNQUOTE. HOW POSSIBLE IS IT THAT NO CLUB HAS RIGHTFULLY WON A PENALTY THERE. AND WHENEVER THAT "OLYMPIC DIVER" JUST TRIPS OVER HIS SHADOW, THAT OLD HAG JUMPS UP AND STARTS RANTING LIKE A MAD MAN. CONGRATS TO BENITEZ WHO IS THE ONLY MAN WHO HAS EVER LOOKED AT THE OLD HAG IN THE FACE AND MADE THOSE ACCUSATIONS ABOUT MANURE. THINK OF THIS, SINCE THAT INCIDENT THE FA DIDN'T INVESTIGATE HIS COMMENTS AS THEY ALWAYS DO WITH OTHER COMMENTS. WHY? SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. I BELIEVE THEY'RE TRYING TO PLEASE HIM SO HE CAN ACCEPT TO MANAGE THE TEAM THEY WANT TO REPRESENT THE UK AT THE 2012 OLYMPICS. ANYONE SECOND THAT. BY THE WAY, ARSENAL WILL WIN TONIGHT.

We should stop this habit of praising people who do their duties
Is that how low we've descended? If he doesn't do them why then is he the governor and custodian of the state affairs?

Can someone outline what Bukola Saraki has done?
He will only win an election because his father is among the God fathers of PDP
He doesn't have the sort of vision fashola has. matter of fact he is not even better the Peter Obi.
You should be comparing him with Babangida Muazu of Niger state not fashola.

for once i just think i have to quit this lack of confidence on O'shea
He seems unintelligent going forward but you can see what its all about last wednesday
He also got more experience than Rafael. I would have had him assuming something is wrong.
But just give him that benefit of the doubt. Meanwhile, if we scale thru tonight, he will play in Rome according to Fergie!!

i can't agree with you any better
But i think Ando and Fletcher should drop deeper this time
Ando in particular he is our main anti-dote to Fabregas.
Stifle him and the Arses are down and flat.
As such;

VDS
O'shea Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Fletcher Anderson
Carrick
Ronaldo Rooney
Tevez/Berbatov

I think this combo will deliever the goods
I am still marvelling at how Fletcher has contributed this season albeit quietly
He seems to have a stake in the middle. Big ups to him. Fletcher the shit packer!!! grin grin

Mancs,
Update on tomorrow's game.
Rio is very much ok to start tomorrow. Only Wes Brown and Evra are doubts. Evra should be ok though!!

Rio trains in semi-final squad.
Two senior defenders missed United's training session on Monday morning
but Rio Ferdinand wasn't one of the absentees.

The central defender now seems set to fulfil Sir Alex Ferguson's hope that he'll be "alright for Tuesday.
"Rio had been visited by the club doctor as he recovered from the lung bruising he suffered
in the Champions League semi-final first leg clash against Arsenal.

Wes Brown and Patrice Evra were the pair who missed training.
Brown had been touted for a comeback on the bench at Middlesbrough on
Saturday but as it turned out, he wasn't named among the seven substitutes.
Evra did play at the Riverside Stadium and was on the receiving end of some robust challenges;
however Sir Alex Ferguson told MUTV in his post-match interview:
"Patrice got a knock but I don’t think it’s anything serious."

Sir Alex Ferguson opted to hold United's pre-match training session at
Carrington rather than the Emirates Stadium on the eve of Tuesday's second-leg clash.

The Reds travel down to London early on Monday afternoon, and
more team news will follow when Sir Alex conducts his press conference in the capital at 17:00 BST.

The players training at Carrington were as follows: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak; Neville,
Rafael, Eckersley, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans; Ronaldo, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Carrick,
Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson; Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez, Welbeck, Macheda.

debosky:
Are you joking? Gibbs frustrated Ronaldo so much he had to move centrally before getting any joy against Kolo - Gibbs marshalled his side expertly after struggling for the initial 10 minutes.

You must be experiencing myopia or astigmatism to miss the runs Rooney was making against Gibbs in the second half. The funniest bit was when Rooney who probably weighs like 3 times Gibbs tried to go past the lad - Gibbs held his ground and held off Rooney and the next thing was Rooney on the ground looking for a foul. cool

The referee correctly ignored his shenanigans and told him to get up. cheesy

Rooney has obviously been recruited into the Cristiano Ronaldo School of Diving Excellence. cheesy grin grin
I didn't see Eboue yesterday? Was he at Micheal Phelps Diving Grammar School/ tongue

On rooney, it Sagna that begged him to move to the right so as to save whats left of his career.
God he tormented him to eternity.
Roaldo felt Gibbs wasn't his match and went to continue with Toure what he started with Gibbs

All in all, Gibbs had a good game. he was quite good.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by Emperoh(m): 2:14pm On Apr 30, 2009
The way some of us brag here, you do think they are the ones playing
Most analyses that go here should be based on what we know and see of the teams
As for Chelsea and Barca, all i know is that its gonna be an explosive fixture
But The Chavs have the advantage. Barca's defense is a bit short of personalities at the centre
If Chelsea should score, the tie is as good as over in their favour. Organise your defense well and you can stop about any Spanish team
Everyone has got his strategy. It ain't about going gong ho.

All the brunch about Messi ended in Camp Nou.
Pin Alves back and you will see worse frustrations than happened at Camp Nou
On the other hand, the Barca attack is quite lethal. The Chav defense has to be up to it.
One slip is enough for Etoo and Henry to sneak in. The only thing here is that even if they score first, Chelsea can salvage something

All in all, the tie is in Chelsea's favour!!

mukina2:
I am speechless sef, Thank God they didnt score more, it would have been terrible, i find myself asking if Diaby is AW's love child huh, His beard like Ali Baba.

This blogger summed it up nicely, i don't even know what to say.

Almunia: Man of the match tonight. He managed to keep out three dead cert goals with some top drawer saves. There was nothing he could do about the goal. 9

Gibbs: If Almunia said he wouldn’t be able to take my MoM award due to personal reasons… I’d give it to Gibbs. Security stopped him on his way out of the ground pointing to suspiciously large pocket with unusually large object in it… it was ok though… it was Wayne Rooney. 18 year old Gibbs kept the beastliest man in England quiet all night, which for me is an extremely powerful achievement. 8.5

Kolo: Carry on Kolo… starring Fish Face… What a nightmare those two have become, they’re defending is laughable at times. I can’t understand how Kolo can look so solid next to Gallas, yet so poor with Silvestre… it’s not a good sign is it? 5

Silvestre: Slightly better than his leading man, but still very dodgy. Taking ManU’s fall guy on as back up was a poor idea… most didn’t even need the benefit of hind sight to establish that. 5.5

Sagna: Not the worst performance of the evening, but not great either. He hasn’t replicated last seasons form by a long way, but I’ll take him over Eboue any day of the week. 6.5

Theo: One second… just checking back… oh right, he did definitely play! A quiet performance from young Theo… maybe he had something on his mind? Maybe young Mexican Carlos Vela sneezed without covering his mouth on the team bus? Theo looks like a worrier, doesn’t he? Jokes aside… what a luke warm, blind alley runining, poor passing performance. 5

Cesc: A pretty quiet performance from Cesc. He is a captain who leads by example… not through man motivation skills… so when things aren’t going well, if his feet can’t do the talking… his mouth can’t. Playing in the hole again… it really doesn’t work does it? His lack of pace is so apparent that far up the field, especially against great teams. 6

Nasri: Played centrally this evening, and was a bright spark in our play… maybe a bright spark is a little too generous, he was more like the light on an old skool casio watch. Nasri looks good in the middle when he has Arshavin out wide… sadly, Arshavin can’t play against united. 7

Diaby: Firstly, someone needs to have a word with Diaby about that beard… truly awful. Not as awful as his overall play yesterday. Diaby is slow to distribute the ball, he tries to over ellaborate even the most basic situations and he is infuriatingly sloppy with his passes. A terrible performance, not helped by the fact that he has never been any good being played out wide. Round peg… square hole. 4

Song: Our best midfielder by a long way tonight… I don’t like saying that, not because I don’t like Song… but it says a lot about the team performance when your stand out midfielder is the holding midfielder in a 5 man set up. He really was good tonight… I particularly like a turn he made in the second half. 8

Adebayor: I think I preferred him when he had a point to prove? A real nothing performance from him tonight… refusal to chase down lost causes, inability to get on the end of anything… running offside… a big night for the anti-Ade brigade… and based on tonight, how can I defend him? 4

Subs:

Nik B: Brought on to replace the invisible winger… which was an odd decision. Nik is cumbersome and lacks pace… why he was going to trouble United from out wide on the right was beyond me? He managed to misplace 50 % of his passes, smash a header wide and contribute zero shots to our unimpressive tally. Surely Rambo or Vela (He has two feet before you start) would do more damage coming on for Theo? 5

Eduardo: I would have had him on earlier… It was nice to see him… nice to know he’s alive. 6
The person who wrote the highlighted should be banned from watching football?
At what point did rooney play on the right? It was between him and Sagna all night
gibbs tried but not to the extent of being the strongest link. I think its Sagna.
Now take a look at my own player rater for Arsenal;
ARSENAL

Almunia -9.0: At least two world class saves, among countless other stops in the first half, to keep Arsenal in the game. Almunia's denial of Tevez was miraculous. Man-of-the-match

Sagna -6.5: Perhaps the best of a shaky Arsenal backline, and did not disgrace himself against Rooney. Made very little headway as an attacking force though.

Toure -6.5: Positionally all over the shop in the first half, and lost Ronaldo for his headed chance. Improved considerably after the break.

Silvestre -5.0: Horrible in the first 45 minutes, he was at fault for the goal, and was sleeping on two other opportunities. After nine years at the club, Silvestre gave Manchester United yet more good service tonight.

Gibbs -4.5: A horror-show by the Arsenal left back. He may be young, but he was exposed time and time again down his left-hand side. What was Sky Sports' Andy Gray watching when he said the youngster had been "fantastic"?

Diaby -5.0 Very disappointing. Offered Gibbs no defensive support, and carelessly lost possession on numerous occasions.

Song -4.5: Was supposed to protect the Arsenal defence, but failed miserably. Song was a tactical disaster, pushing up when he should have held, and vice-versa. Constantly in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Walcott -6.0: A few bursts of pace, but did not get enough of the ball to run at Evra. A shame because Evra has been shaky of late.

Fabregas -6.0: The only Arsenal player to put his foot on the ball in the first half, Fabregas created little, and still failed to supply Adebayor.

Nasri -5.0: Never really got in the game did the Frenchman. In fact, you would have been forgiven for thinking that he was not even on the pitch.

Adebayor -4.0: One of those nights for Adebayor, who lost almost every ball that was played up to him. How he lasted until the 83rd minute is a mystery.

Subs

Bendtner -6.0: Missed Arsenal's best chance of the match, as he headed wide.

Eduardo -N/V: Did not have a chance to get into the game.
debosky:
This is the crux of the matter for me - Arsene is failing to use Cesc properly, and this made Ade's poor performance yesterday even WORSE with less supply.
To a large extent i agree with you Debo
Ade on a good day will give you torrid moments
But he was just unavailable yesternight. Infact Arsenal died last night
I also think Wenger was carried away by his display against borough last sunday.
Most of the fall times he's had this season was down yo his wacked and warped selection and tactics.
