This is sad but than God its being managed!!!
Nothing much to say other than to encourage us to keep being open and honest!!

Life is full of ups and downs. I am just coming thru one now even though it wasn't a Nairalander's car!!

Was paid on December 16th after much dithering to make an arrangement for an accidented 2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara. . . . not until recently, i couldn't say when the car would be ready!

What saved me was my openness t the client. . . . . its really pays to be honest!!
It shall be well. But reduce the frequency of these occurrence!!

God will see us thru!!

We boast the best cars within your lean budget!!

This reputation got us this brief and we set to work
Else how else can someone get a 2008 CUV in the mold of the CR-Vs, RAV4s and Highlanders without breaking the bank!!

We scoured the whole auto auctions and searched for a vehicle that fitted into the budget!
Eventually we narrowed down to a Mitsubishi outlander or a Suzuki Grand Vitara!!

The Grand Vitara it was finally!!!

It was accidented but has been resuscitated!!!
You will marvel at the neatness of the work done, watch with bated breath because there are very few clean title cars that will beat this car in terms of cleanliness!!

The beauty of it all is that we set out for a 2006 model year car and ended up with a 2008 year!!

And the Mileage? You will scream!! Just 24k miles!!!

I really don't know what to think about our young goons
Are they being affected by the drop in form of the big guys?

The game against Crawley was not encouraging to put it mildly. we dominated the first half without really playing well, but totally grew worse in the second half.

These guys continue to piss me off with the languid play.
I hope things end well for us this season and that we turn out better next season!!

German007,

I think i have to be blunt here even though all the fault are not yours.
But i had to go this way because this is about the third case of delayed transaction delivery on your part. The first one is possibly, not known to everyone here because of the mature way the client took it and i commend him for that. The second one happened just two months ago and now this.

These issues are not doing any good to you and on the long run, some of us.
I can see that where your problem comes from mostly is finance and i can say that apart from a few of us here, none can really boast the huge capital to handle two or more transactions, so its not purely an aberration. What is therefore, is handling more than you can afford at any point in time. Regardless of the tentative profit therein there is need for one to stick to his rules and forte. If you know one car is what you can comfortably handle, pls do so and avoid the temptation of taking on more and then failing. Even when you missed the planned vessel there was still room to amend. Grimaldi does at least 2 transits to West Africa every month and is more reliable to me than any other. We understand the issue we have with logistics but proper assessment of every situation is required so as to fall back in line without delaying your deals.

Whether Osama was right or wrong is not at stake cos it is his money that is involved and a satisfied client is most likely an open door to more deals. I cannot doubt your integrity and the fact that you are sincere but all that pales into insignificance when you begin to track back and dither of delivery dates. No matter how sacrosanct your reasons are and how your client was so wrong, you are the person who will eventually bear the brunt. Ok now, you have ended up soiling your two year relationship with a dealer, lost money, time and also created a bad press for yourself on Nairaland with this. A the end of the day, he still walks off with his money and just sulks he didn't get what he needed.

What i think you should do; Weigh your pocket and know what percentage of deals you can afford to finance and charge accordingly. If you say its 50%, pls stick to it and better you lose such a deal than go thru this route. It is not the end of runs, more will still come. Try to keep abreast of shipping schedules and do transaction at cities with ports. It help cut down on cost and trucking services. They are one unreliable aspect of the US business terrain i hate to work with.

Above all, keep up the integrity and stick to your values. Concentrate more on your forte and develop them. Any runs you can't afford will most certainly give you a headache!!!!

I also urge clients to remain steadfast to confirmed pre-order dealers here. It is still the best way to get a good car at a cheap rate and be sure of what you are getting. Life is full of ups and downs and we will within our network try to solve issues within ourselves as much as we can.

We also seek that you express the utmost sense of objectivity when negotiating these deals. Cars are not as cheap as it is made to look by Nigerians. Trying to jump at a good price is most likely going to end up like this if the price is too good to be true. We crave your understanding and appreciate your support for our business.

My one pence opinion!!!

Autos › Re: Deposit Refunded. by Emperoh(m): 7:41pm On Feb 08, 2011
Since September?? Wonderful!!!
I don't know who this is but i kinda feel that some dealers here use monies meant for cars for something else and then run into a glitch when the time comes for the real thing and then blame it on logistics.

Or what other plausible reason can one give for delays on a car paid for since September?
This thing dey spoil market for some us and its not fair either to the clients.

I advocate you use the money for what it is and then stick to the deal.
Disclose the possible lapses likely to be experienced in the transaction to the client so that he is well aware.

I am particularly sad about this and passionate as well cos i know how much my income depends on this.
Pls pls and pls, dealers disclose all these to your clients to avoid all these complaints.

Original poster, it will be necessary for you to name the dealer if you intend this issue to be solved here.
Else it makes no sense posting it in the first place!!!

Seriously, i don't blame people who diss these Gaynners as utterly indecent intellectually!!!
Jeez. . . .i have refused to get involved with them as it seems they emit something worse than objectivity!!

What is hard to understand and swallow about Nani having the 12 assists twice as much as the players compared?

Anyway, Mancs, i guess Gary saw the handwriting on the wall and did the honorable thing!!
Who's next? Giggs, Scholes?

I haven't said i am going to watch La Liga. . . its too one sided unless they are derbies involving the big two or the El CLassico.

One thing we should be wary about is knowing whether the bridge in quality gap between the top and bottom teams were as a result of the drop in form of the big guys or was it truly an improvement? As in, if the likes of Man U and Chelsea eventually pick up form, would these teams still be seen sticking out their necks and drawing blood from the big guys.

Again, i will not totally agree to the bridge in gap idea unless your point of reference is the likes of Tottenham and Man City who arrived at the 'big stage' after spending quite big especially Citeh.

Else, the Chavs, Mancs and Arsenal still go to matches with these people and come out with three points with the occasional upsets as could have been witnesses last nite? What you could also find is traditional bottom table teams displaying mid table teams like Villa, West Ham and even Liverpool etc for their spot.

I don't agree so much as to the bridge in quality gap than to the fact there is a serious drop in the quality of football being played in the EPL and even major European leagues with huge concentration now on MONEY!!

We are loosing the real flavour that is football!!!

Mr. TA

What was source of entertainment last nite? Quality of the game or Nature of the game?
Will you say in all honesty that you haven't watched better football from United than you saw last nite? For crying out loud, with such difficulty level raised by Blackpool in the first half, United has still beaten teams silly playing total attacking football.

Forgotten so soon the Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke days in attack?
Or even more recently, the automatic counter attacking footie of Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha?
I am not seeing more of what i am used to. I have an appetite that need to be satiated with good footie. . . bleep it even if my team loses, but i need to see creativity.

I will not  be surprised that what was entertaining was the nature of the game where we had to come back from two goals down to win a game. I mean, your team being at the heat of it all, brings its version of tension which is part of the entertainment and for the other team supporters, seeing Man Utd lose for the first time in the EPL is the entertaining ish for them, so i can't see the entertainment beyond these.
I have seen better displays from United
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by Emperoh(m): 11:43am On Jan 26, 2011
It is not every time that we will escape.
I was totally disappointed with the team in the first half and wasn't really impressed with the come back
Aside Berbatov, Hernande and Giggs and maybe Vidic and Rafa, the team needs something i can't place my hand on.

What happened to the Fletcher of last season? Rooney, Evra pre-world cup, even Nani that i usually trust even though his brilliance got us the first goal but his display has left much to be desired.

Really, its not new to say that we are adopting a siddon dey look posture, but the fact that we keep posting positive returns on every game is what is really worrying me.

Is is that the quality of the EPL is dropping or that
We are good enough to be where we are?

I really don't give English teams in the UCL any chance this term but who knows, the Man U phenomenon might apply.

What i can't understand is why teams are finding it hard to lift the level of their games?
What is the heck is happening. I am more switching over to the La Liga to see good games.

Original Poster!

U have to handle this with extreme care and caution!!
Much as your mother is being irrational(sorry if i am harsh!) you need to massage that ego a little.
Reason: If you harshly stamp your foot down, you may just be creating a serious rumpus for your wife.
Women whether young or old have a way of being petty on issues like talkless of one where they can exert authority. Another reason is so that a cold war situation isn't created between daughter and mother-in-law!
Your wife to be is already expressing apprehension of being unacceptable to your family. Wrong meanings could be read into it and other issues generated thereof. So, much as you do want to take your decision, its consequences might affect others, you know say for our place, no be only you dey marry your wife. Oo nwunye oha k'o bu!!

To the issue, i have two ideas, do your church wedding at ABA and relocate to Onitsha for the trad and a big party like reception or do all as planned but chose a newtral location for the white wedding.
Your mum knows that without compromise, traditional rites is to be held at the brides, so take advantage of that or take the wedding to Owerri, Enugu or Umuahia but not where both parties want!!

But regardless of logistics, i favour the idea of doing the church service in Aba and then race down to Onitsha for the reception and traditional rites at the brides place.

The trip from Aba to Onitsha is about 2hrs 30mins max. So if you start the church service at 8.30am, you should be done at 10.30 and then leave for Onitsha by 11am.

Isn't it feasible? Just my two pence!!!

Not really given to this kinda flirting.
But who cares. . . .if he is good enough, let him come. My major worry is our midfield!!
We need creativity like air!!

Much as we won today, i am continually getting disenchanted with our play.
Not any urgency to kill off the game!!

I am still waiting for when we will improve!!
