Nateevs

I also wish to let you know how important history is. If history keeps repeating itself, then why not hope on it. We may not have been in the same situ when Keane left but I dare say the situ was also not the same when RVN left. Ronaldo also left in a different situation. What you also missed is that our style of play has continually evolved with the departure of these players to suit their absence. From 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 and 4-5-1 etc. Have we been able to replace Keane till date? Definitely not!! But haven’t we won a UCL title, EPL etc without him? Or talking about debt, United was not totally debt free when Keane left and I dare say the size of the portfolio posed its own problems at that time. Do I need to remind you that as long as cash flow is constant, the debt can be there for all I care, the income will service it.

What we should concentrate on is making the outcome on the pitch speak for itself. Like Debosky said, where we have had issue is at the back and not scoring goals. We all riled Berba last season and he stepped up to do some good job this season showing us his potential. Who says he can’t rise to fill the space Rooney left if this team is built around him? Bruv, history will repeat itself under a different circumstance as it has happened in the past; so, why worry. This is an institution and not some money miss road club that grows rich to challenge for trophies over-night. What we are going through now is nothing but loss of form to players in key areas. Carrick and Fletcher in the mid-field, Ferdinand, Evra and maybe Vidic at the back. When these players get their mojo back, (I hope they do soonest), you will all forget there was ever a scandal on Rooney

And hey, should the debt over-hang become an issue, I can assure you that it won’t get as bad as Liverpool. There are a million and one Trillionaires out there, ready to break the bank to buy United. This club is a cash cow. The Glazers for all I care are a phase and will sell United if they loose out. Any businessman knows better than to put his money in a non-profitable venture and United is not one.

Dudu
You are being too rigid in your thinking on this matter. Who says potentials must follow a particular path to discovery? Giggs, Scholes et al came from the ranks, how many times did u see them play to recognise their potentials? Where was Drogba at age 20? Where was TH14 at that age? Ribery, Zidane et al!! All I want to tell you is that this is a pure gamble which may or may not work. Aladiere was a potential, so is Walcott, Wilshere, Adem Johnson etc. There is no formula to this issue. Fergie on the other hand knows what he is looking for- which I am very sure of outclasses your own perception or definition on the identification of potentials.

As for Rooney spewing doom for us, let him ask himself where he was and how he felt with Keane spewing doom about us. We are used to this and we will eventually overcome. This is Manchester United and not some money miss road club!!!

Someone is comparing Wenger's kindergarten program to SAF's that have achieved result.
Was Giggs also a prodigy, Beckham, Scholes?
Come off it bruv, some of these things are gamble some are not.

You should be predicting for Wenger and not SAF. . . . . let time decide what happens to these young boys.
No one gave Nani a chance to what he is developing into now, so cut it out.

Let it fail like Arsenal's before coming here to spew doom!!!

My stand is that for Rooney to make a statement as this is soo myopic that he is rubbishing the belief placed on him
he had better respect himself and go!!!

Interesting gists and argements. . .some subjective others quite objective!

But here's my input.
I believe that there is more to what we are seeing now.
Its either the Stretford guy is the wahala as was with John Shittu and Mikel Obi thingy or SAF isn't telling us something
But with SAF making these allegation and they not being debunked by Rooney or his staff, then something is amiss.

If he decides to go, no wahala, but like SAF said, do not disrespect this club.
Ronaldo showed more regards for United than Rooney is doing, but i do like to remember him more for what he has done for the club than the disrepute he has done us.

I will only be concerned like i am if the field operations begin to decline or not yield results like we it is not at the moment. This is when the debt thingy will become an issue as it is being sustained by on field results.

For those wishing us death before our time, i do like u guys to always bear this in mind. Wait for the bad results before u begin to predict and incant. Past records shoulda told ur dumb brains that there is more to come whenever a super star leaves United. The moment this dude leaves, this team will be built around someone else and the person will deliver. So it was during RVN, Ronaldo and Rooney. It could be Berba, it could be a new signing
But be sure that whomever it is will deliver.

I am watching just like everyone else to see how SAF handles this.
But it will hurt me to see Rooney leave. . . .if for nothing, his industry and spirit!!

But then the institution remain while the individual withers. It shall be well!!

ONE UNITED FOR LIFE!!!!

Big ups bruv, where's ur promise?

I felt compelled to add to what Inspired has said. All he said above are all true and reeks of experience.
But note also that our regulatory agents are very dubious and you really have to be on your toes and VERY patient to get along our highways with both registered and unregistered cars.

As an unwritten rule of thumb, every police check-point is 'entitled' to N200.00 for any unregistered vehicle genuinely cleared with all the papers intact. If the vehicle is registered, be prepared for more issues. An uncrossed 'T' or undotted 'I' or even an unsigned column, can set you back by as much as N2,000.

For every Nigerian Customs Service check point, it is between N1000 and N2000 depending on your bargaining power grin The guys at Benin bypass are getting notorious by the day.

Now, the gimmick played by Custom officals, on realising that every thing legal has been done on a vehicle, is to claim that you defrauded the FG by not paying the appropriate excise duty on a car. It then beats common sense to say that it is the same Custom officials at the Tincan island port who do the valuation for this cars and tell you what to pay.

It is now left for you to decide whether to argue your way through but at the expense of your time and the psychological and emotional strain that goes with it. If you do the Lagos Benin highway, you may get to realise what i am saying.

I hope my little chip in helps.

Q6. Disadvantage of buying ur car in cotonou is the same as buying it anywhere else.

Q7. Endeavour to pay all the government required taxes, levies and duties and get genuine documents to highlight same. The game played by law emforcement officers is the delay game. if u can match them up to it, then no wahala. And please don't try to reason logically with them cos they won't meet up. U do end up frustrating yourself.
