Christianity EtcRe: Why Jesus Is DEFINITELY God * by Emusan(m): 12:01pm On Jun 30, 2025
MaxInDHouse:
Good!

Moses was a man before Jehovah made him a God {Exodus 7:1} likewise the Word was an angel (spirit son of God) before God made him a God.

Remember in the Bible book of Job it is written that the morning stars are God's children {Job 38:7} in the same manner the spirit son of God who became the Word is also one of the morning stars but the Bright one among them! Revelations 1:5

So the Word was an angel or God's spirit son before creation! smiley
@color-red is the key point here.

Before Creation no entity exists EXCEPT GOD, all Angels are CREATED BEINGS which means no single one can be BEFORE creation.

So, John 1:1 shows "The Word WAS with God and WAS GOD" before Creation is perfectly grammatical accurate because anything IN THE BEGINNING (i.e at Creation) no longer valid.

Let's recap:

1. You already agreed that there's no different between A GOD and GOD.
2. You already agreed that The Word predate CREATION (i.e BEFORE CREATION) and as stated in the scripture.
3. Now placing The Word as Angel (created being) negate the two stance above.

The implication is:

You unanimously used the phrase "BEFORE CREATION" which means you are claiming the Word is UNCREATED. Do you realize that?

You've been trying to look for my attention, I hope by the time I start with you, you won't revert to your usual way.

Janosky:
[b]In koine Greek, ho Theo's ( the God) references the Almighty Supreme Being without any Father.

Jesus has a Father, therefore Jesus is NOT Almighty or Supreme.
You're off point. Address my post according to the way I put it down.

A god references Angels, man and Jesus.
John 10:34-36 , Jesus identified himself as a god because himself is son of God whom His Father calls god @ Psalms 82:1,6 (Jesus quoted at John 10:34-36).
It's already established that there's no different between A GOD and GOD.

That's the point for now and stick to that.

In a nutshell,Koine Greek differentiates God Almighty Yahweh from a god his son (or sons called gods.)
Which means Max is wrong for saying there's no different between God and a God, right?

MaxInDHouse:
Excellent!

That's what Moses and Jesus said about their God:

“Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah" Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29

Jesus said about his God:

"God is a (one) Spirit" John 4:24

In English language one person is equally a person! wink
No! One person never equal a person in English language.

A as used mostly in English language means unknown identity.

Go and learn more about English language.

Meanwhile, God is ONE GOD.

Well going by your own one person to a person it means there's no different between Jesus being a God and Jehovah being a God.

What was Moses before God made him a God? Exodus 7:1
Even though you couldn't answer my question but instead played hide and seek.

Moses was a man.

So what is The Word was before becoming God before the Creation?

Remember ONLY GOD and Creator exists before Creation.

MaxInDHouse:
It simply means the Word became a God in the beginning of creation {John 1:1} unlike Jehovah who is God from everlasting to everlasting! Psalms 90:2
You're changing mouth. God and A God are the same. So, stop using A GOD or probably also use God for Jehovah.

For instance, "... unlike Jehovah who is a God..."

But you read the same John 1:1 that The Word WAS WITH GOD. No where it was ever stated that The Word BECAME A GOD. Infact, John's point in that opening chapter is to tell the NATURE of the Word.

Therefore, The Word WAS there before Creation began.

So, if the Word became God in the BEGINNING of Creation, what is The Word WAS before Creation?

This question is very important!
Christianity EtcRe: Why Jesus Is DEFINITELY God * by Emusan(m): 1:39pm On Jun 28, 2025
MaxInDHouse:
FALSE!

The verse reads "WAS God" just as Moses {Exodus 7:1} and other creatures WERE Gods at some point in time {Psalms 82:1,6} only JEHOVAH IS God from everlasting to everlasting! Psalms 90:1-2smiley
Waooooo so WAS GOD means Jesus is neither God or A God.

Do you even understand that John 1:1 at all?

"In the beginning WAS The Word, and The Word WAS with God, and The Word WAS GOD"

If you're to write this as an English speaker, how will you pen it down?

You don't understand my posts all these while but i will clarify it today.
No wonder you couldn't address my point.

Why do you always use John 1:1 as a prove that Jesus isn't God but a God? If there's no different between God and a God, is my question.

JEHOVAH is God because He is always God from everlasting to everlasting but as for Moses and Jesus both WERE Gods in the sense that they are not always God Jehovah made them whatever they are! smiley
We're on John 1:1 nobody asked you this.

Jesus is God according to John 1:1, true or false?

Your business, nobody asked you.

Secondly i don't even remember when he brought John 1:1 what he said is God is different from a God which i told him that President and a President means the same thing! smiley
@color-red is the main point.

Since you agreed that President (God) and a President(God) mean the same thing.

Why did you always use John 1:1 as a support that Jesus is not God but a god?

If God and a God mean the same thing, you shouldn't have problem when some version of John 1:1 that says "...and the word was God"

That is the point.

Am i the one who brought John 1:1? smiley
Still can't answer simple question.

The person you quoted cited John 1:1 in support of his claim that Jesus is God.

You responded by saying "this is what my own Bible says" and quoted it saying "...and the word was a god" to prove Jesus isn't GOD but a god.

Now, what is the purpose of you quoting John 1:1 which says "...and the word was a god" if there's no different between God and A God?

Moses was a God too! Exodus 7:1

You know this yet you quickly brought John 1:1 as “...a god" to prove how Jesus isn't GOD.

So why did you claim Jesus is not GOD but a god according to John 1:1 if there's no different between the two words?

Travelling abroad is like being a guest in a rich relative's house.

Sure you might have everything you want in your room, but his wife doesnt like you. She wont show it, but you know due to the exclusion during gatherings, the foods they dish out to you, and her daughter who always frowns anytime you turn on the tv.

You might be comfortable materially, but you sacrificed your esteem, the feeling of belonging, being the default, and swallowing your eba in peace without someone looking at you like youre a bushman,

If where you have to return to is not worse like a warzone, you may go back and regain your sanity. But when you see where you have to return to, you might just as well stay back and hope for better days.
This boils down to one thing "Discrimination & Racism" but there's "discrimination and tribal segregation" also back home.

Anyways, your points is noted but I don't see people picking that as major reason but I do hear people complaining about Tax & Cost of living.

In the beginning of my interaction with maximumSide, I asked him the difference between indoctrination and knowledge. He is just echoing what his GB blows into him in their community truth. The other day I was discussing with my brother, a member of JW, He was bragging about his knowledge of history wanting to impress me the veracity of his organization in historical things. He claimed to have a discussion with our uncle, a graduate of history, and he, having aprimary school certificate. I laughed.

How can you read a pamphlet about a world history and claim mastery? I agree, Awake, used to be informative, but to a professional, it's content is less than introduction to any subject.
When this fellow started his topic, I was following if he would bring any substance out of it, but none. He can only impress his JW members in their delusion.
He wanted to use one stone to kill two birds with this thread.

Firstly, he wants to justify the name "Jehovah Witness" as usual which he can never provide any scripture to back it up.

Lastly, he wants to prove at the other hand how baptismal of The Holy Spirit is LIMITED ONLY TO Jews something he can never also back up with scripture.

That is why he INSERTED the word "ONLY" to explain the glaring VERSES he quoted.

I would have preferred this to the construction of the coastal road. Deal with insecurity and see how fast the country will develop generally. The amount insecurity is gulping in Nigeria both from individuals and government is much
Which would have been one of the best decisions the government ever made.

That ₦15T budgeted for the coastal highway can build times two of any security fence in the entire Nigeria border perimeter.

Nigeria border perimeter is just 4,047km and at a cost of ₦2m per/meter of security border fence, that is capable of giving us 10,000km stretch.

Having in mind that the coastal region and some part won't need this fence which means where this fence is needed should be around 2,500 - 3,000km of Nigeria border perimeter.

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Kumuyi Challenges Pentecostal Pastors On Speaking In Tongues by Emusan(m): 2:59pm On Jun 01, 2025
KaLuCh:
OK. I'll bite. I'll give you a scripture. If you care to know, read. If you don't, don't.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES DOES NOT MEAN SPEAKING A KNOWN HUMAN LANGUAGE. What happened in the book of Acts is not how you guys erroneously read it.
The apostles spoke in unknown tongues, but God opened the understanding of the people who heard them and they could understand the apostles in their very own language. You can see proof of this from the bible verses below. This still happens today.

You can ask questions or bring up objections and let's talk about them.

1 Corinthians 14:2
2) For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:23
23) So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?

1 Corinthians 14:27-28
27) If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.

28) If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.

1 Corinthians 14:6-17

6 Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?

7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?

8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?

9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.

10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.

11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me.

12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.

13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.

14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding.

16 Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer, say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying?

17 You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified.
This is what they keep failing to understand when Bible boldly addressed such issue
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Kumuyi Challenges Pentecostal Pastors On Speaking In Tongues by Emusan(m): 2:09pm On Jun 01, 2025
Danisaint112:
WHAT YOUR PASTORS WON'T TELL YOU ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUE

Acts 2:1-4 (NIV)
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Let's get into more details.

Acts 2:6-11 (NIV)
"When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: 'Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!'"

This account clearly indicates that the "tongues" spoken on the Day of Pentecost were actual, recognizable human languages, miraculously understood by the foreign-speaking individuals present.
You hang this on Pastors yet failed to recognize what you quoted.

Look at the @color-red above, did you notice that part?

So, it's what The Spirit wanted at that time that He inspired them to do not your own.

Apostle Paul explained further that there are different kinds of tongues and people can speak a language that no one on earth will understand as the person wasn't communicating to human but to God.

So when you hear your pastor saying shabahbahbah! just know it's lies. 99.9% of the time they are trying to fool you.
because you're the Spirit who inspired the language that's why you know it's a lie.

If no one around there can understand what they are saying or have ever testified to understand what they are saying, then it's a lie. The are simply faking it.
You're calling God a liar then, because God's word says people around might not understand the language.

I'm not a deeper life or Jehovah witness member but I know this. It's just common sense.
Even the OP who is a Deeper Life member misrepresented that video as that video wasn't challenging the PASTORS (as claimed in the Title) watch the video very well.

All the answers you need is in the Bible, let no man fool you. I come in peace.
It's evident you don't read Bible, if not you should have known where people can speak in tongues and no one will understand what they were speaking was written.

Jesus COMMANDED his disciples to go preaching and teaching from house to house and door to door
Where did Jesus Christ command this?

and to baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit {Matthew 28:19-20}
The verses you cited didn't correlate with your point.

but at Pentecost when Jews approached the disciples and humbled themselves before the followers of Christ asking them what they need to do to be saved {Act 2:37} Peter said:

REPENT, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit. For the promise is to you and your children, and to all those who are far away, to all those whom Jehovah our God may call to himself." Act 2:38-39

Question!

*From what do Jews need to REPENT?
Well stated in that same verse from their SINS.

*Why did Peter say the Jews only need to be baptized in Jesus name instead of the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit changing what Jesus taught them to do?
Correction!

Peter didn't say "ONLY" that is your own injection.

because The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE with one SINGULAR NAME as mentioned by Jesus.

Question should've been, WHAT IS THAT SINGULAR NAME?

*What promise of God for only the Jews and their children was Peter talking about?
You have to inject Watchtower dogman here.

Again, nothing like "ONLY" but you have to insert that for your own agenda.

This is after you quoted the scripture written in plain English and still decided to cherry pick the parts that suit you.

Here is the scripture again.
“REPENT, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit. For the promise is to you and your children, and to all those who are far away, to all those whom Jehovah our God may call to himself." Act 2:38-39

Why did you leave the @color part and inserted the word "ONLY" in other to justify JEWS being the people having that promise?

Yet you'll still be claiming today that The Holy Spirit is with Watchtower who are never a descendant of any original Jewish people.
