Simple Methods and Techniques of Building Repair.

You can prolong the life-span of that biulding of yours with these simple methods

Fungal Stain or Harmful Growth:-
For fungal stain or mould on wall surfaces, the problem can be handled by low pressure washing. Water spray, at low pressure, is used to soften fungal stain or mould on the wall surfaces. Then, bristle brushes are applied to remove the stain.

Erosion of Mortar Joints:-
Erosion of mortar joints occurs once there is a presence of salt crystalization, scouring action of winds, disintegrating effects of plant growing on wall or water penetration leading to the concentrations of moisture and dampness. Where mortar has weathered out or become soft and crumbly, repointing should be undertaken which is an operation of raking out decayed mortar from the joints of masonry or brickwork to a depth of between 25mm and 40mm (or at least to twice the height of the joint); and refilling thejoint with suitable mortar.

Peeling Paint:-
1 Water washing can be helpful in removing paints, particularly those which are of water-thinned. This is because adhesion in the coatings is likely to be loosened when thoroughly wetted. When appropriate, the use of warm or hot water is necessary for softening limes, whiting and soft distemper or copolymer emulsion paints before sponging, scrubbing or scrapping off the resultant form.

2 Abrasive Methods
Paints can be removed by hand scrapping, sanding and mechanical methods. For the hand scrapping and sanding, a wetted medium-coarse glass paper wrapped round awood block is used, particularly in removing athin layer of paint.

Maintenance of Air-Conditioning System
Since most air-conditioning systems consist of a fan, filter and cooling coil, a regularly check-up or maintenance is desirable. Most ofthe maintenance works depend on both the types of filter used in the system and the extent of pollution in the environment. As a rough guide, if the system uses filter cells, then they may have to be changed or cleanedonce a month in heavily polluted locations, once every two months in city centres and once in every three months in rural or suburban areas. However, for the cleanable filter the need to change or clean the part is about one to two years.

Getting to a time; A Surgeon's don't need to enter into a theater with books before he/she will operate sucessfully, also an Engineer's don't need to carry books up and down before he can construct bridges or road. Likewise other professions.

But have you ever see a pastor that said he has done with BIBLE, No! April 2010, i was in school and i suppose to travel home to celebrate easter with my people but i change my journey to Benue State from Ekiti State just to see a girl who i claimed that i love through phone since Nov 2008. The journey was so stressful. I was stranded at Ayungba in Kogi state and i left home with almost 5k and my ATM card believing that i will withdraw but that day is like ''i wake up from wrong side of my bed'' all the ATM machine in Ayungba even inside their University there is no server on them, i beg at the park till i got tired, spend more than 3hrs at the park before a merciful driver packed me as a load to Igala. I beg again at Igala park before i finally reach Otukpo in Benue state around 9pm. Being my first time i dont know who to meet where i will go because my girl phone is off. I finally meet a man who showed me where i can withdraw that night and direct a bike man to take me to one hotel where i can pass my night. The whole story went like that, that day i suffer no be small. I don't even think about the dangers involved all is just because of LOVE.

A friend of mine did the samething in 2008. He travelled to Ibadan from Ondo state to meet a girl. He explain how the girl switch off her phone and make him to stay at the park for more than 4hrs before he finally find his way back home.

My friend and I don't know anything about those girls again up till now.

This also remind me the story of Cynthia who travelled to Lagos just to meet her 2go lover, we all knew what happen to her.
