CareerRe: How Your Temperament Affects Your Career Choice And General Performance. by Emylexray(m): 10:44pm On Sep 04, 2012
Tingles: I don't even know where I can place myself, the only temperament I lack is Choleric. I react to people based on their temperaments. And here you say I can't combine more than two? This article got me more confused.
be sincere with yourself. only then will you be able to know your true temperaments . A person will not be able to know his temperament if he or she is not truthful to his or her herself. Accept those weaknesses. A lot of people fail to discover theirs because they always view theirself with rose-coloured glasses. Go back and read those characters and be sincere with yourself.

claremont: I don't believe in all this stuff, and there is no proven correlation whatsoever between a person's temperament and his/her career choice. Most people are in careers far removed from their temperament. I would rather choose to believe in well-referenced research than copied and pasted portions off a so-called motivational book.
i understand your position as regards the topic of discus here. You see, harsh and unpleasant life conditions tend to affect our goal and will in life. They change our mentality and purpose. How will you tell a graduate that has been seeking for a job for seven years and finally gets a lucrative job-offer from a company to refute or refuse the job because it does not tally or correspond with the temperament type required to excel in such jobs which he does not possess? (you wan make im die be that) at that rough time, his will and primary goal have been eroded due to torid life situations. Bro, believe it, temperament works.

Duke_Nija: A Choleric would make a great Engineer because of his Leadership skill and purposefulness to accomplish set goals and target.
He would delegate work effectively and get the best performance from his team.
The Melancholy would also make a good Engineer but would need to learn to work with people rather than by himself. He has perfection on his side and would get the job done and timely.
The phleg would frustrate the Choleric leader with his sluggish and Lazy attitude. Cholerics can't stand a Phleg.
sanguines are good sales-person too due to their friendly and extroverted nature. They can win people with their unbriddled tongue. I will say they thrive in anything that has to do with sales and people. Though their weaknesses are too obvious for people to see, i can decipher a person with a sanguine temperament with just two days of staying with that person. Its really amazing! One thing i know is that every temperament has strengths and weaknesses. That's what makes us unique
CareerRe: How Your Temperament Affects Your Career Choice And General Performance. by Emylexray(m): 5:25pm On Sep 04, 2012
One thing you all should know is that there is what we call "the spirit-controlled temperament" when you give your life to christ, i,e when you become a true christain, your weaknesses are strengthened, that's when it becomes difficult for your temperament to be deciphered because the "holyspirit" has strenghten your weaknesses.
Also, the four temperaments have affinities or attractions for each other. More often than not, the extroverted sanguine do admire the organised, intelligent, cool and practical melancholy. This is because the latter characteristics of the melancholy are not found in the sangunie, so he/she tends to admire and appreciate those inherent traits in the melancholy. Its this traits that transpires to LOVE. I mean genuine love
In thesame vein, the other two temperaments ( choleric and phlegmatic) are attracted to each other too. The introverted, gentle, reserved , meek and soft-spoken phlegmatic admires the extroverted, practical, domineering, violent and tough choleric ( compare the characters and see that they differ with that of the phlegmatic). It is these differences in characters or qualities that give rise to genuine love. Just like in electricity. Like charges repel while unlike charges attract each other. Its really interesting how this things happen.
If you study your partner closely, you will discover that he or she complements your character. Those qualities you lack in yourself are inherent in him or her! (please i'm not saying this is automatic) i'm a mel/phleg in the ratio 70/30

I'm bemused by some comments so far, must you comment on a topic, please, if you will ever be sarcastic, don't be on issues like this.
I shiver at the height of unbelieve here on nairaland, we don't believe untill we see. i'm not saying this story is true, but if you don't believe, why not just read and pass rather than post some stupid and blasphemic comments which shows unpiety for God. like one guy posted saying "soon Allah will be born". One thing is certain and that i know for sure that this world is coming to an end, its all a matter of time. What more signs do you need to know that christ's coming is so apparent. END TIME! Repent and amend your ways,

yes o, the good guys are leaving. I can remember the ever consistent Olumide Macaulay, Edet umoh of blessed memory, skinny Olamide Akintobi, handsome Gimba Umah etc. All now running things at TVC (television continental) what could have made them quit the most dependable news station, channels T.V, Money?

didn't you read the thread?..that was a professional interview, he wasn't explicit. You don't expect him to be more open than that. It's left for your cerebrum to do the rest (if its functioning to full capacity).. Go back and read his reason for quiting channels T.V and ruminate on it.

What's the point in feingning ones accent in another country?...i believe if you spend ample time in the country, your accent changes gradually. Will a white man change or fake his accent because he is in Nigeria? Na wa o, i don't know why we are beginning to see these white people am demi gods.

kelvincoll: On Point! cos i do not see any transformation besides the natural phenomenon called Growth/Ageing, moreso another difference is the camera type used to take the pics. backthen was analogue type camera and now its a digital HD camera used
oh! Call it off!..is that you are being sentimental or what? Can't you see the stark difference in shape and look? Sometimes i get bemused by some myopic way reasoning as yours. Analogi ko, catalogi na. Celebrate what is good so that someday, you too will be celebrated.

Na wa ooo!...una don finish the poster. @poster, i'm sure the responses so far will get you thinking about your life, didn't you "reason' before posting this? Surely this will be the worst thread you've ever posted. The points you gave to back you stand are so lame and unconvincing.

This is a shame! Pastors that are suppose to be light to show their members the way are now the one embezzling church funds. "i keep saying it, if you know your God, hold him tight". Only God knows the true worshippers.

FashionRe: Who Do Married Women Dress To Impress? by Emylexray(m): 11:31am On Aug 17, 2012
I think a similar topic to this topic has been debated sometime ago. maclatunji opened the thread.
@poster. There should be a sense of decency in the way married women dress, some aged married women do dress with their flabby bosoms dangling like a yo-yo to show people they are still juicy and elegant. This shouldn't be, i believe husbands too should have a say in what their wives wear! They should be their mirror.
My married elder sister is an example, each time she is set for work, she ask her husband..."honey, how do i look?" and its left for the husband to tell her if he approves it or not. If the husband is okay with the dressing, then there is no cause for worry.

PoliticsRe: Lagosians Tapping Electricity Direct From Pole!! by Emylexray(m): 7:36pm On Aug 16, 2012
This is animalistic, if PHCN had deprived them of power, they would have roamed the streets of lagos chanting vulgar songs of unpatriotic lyrics here and there, now they have it at their disposal and can't appreciate it.
This is so bad and very dangerous as it could lead to fire outbreak thereby causing loss of lives. Power supply has immensly improve no doubt, we hope it continues like this.
