READ: EPHESIANS 6:21-24 (NKJV)

6:21. But that you also may know my affairs [and] how I am doing, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you;
6:22. whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know our affairs, and [that] he may comfort your hearts.
6:23. Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
6:24. Grace [be] with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

THE PSALM:

Today's text highlights that grace is available for us (verse 24). What enables a man is the grace of God, and no man is able unless he is enabled by God (Psalm 127:1,2). Life is not only about human effort; it is even more about divine enablement. God assigns grace to every man based on our gives sinner, it is so that he may be saved (Romans 6:20-23). On the other hand, when God gives a man grace to enable him function, it may mean that such a man does not have that ability in himself (Exodus 2:10,14-15 cf 3:1).

Another dimension of grace is grace for good works (Hebrews 4:16) which may expose one to fire but at the same time, one will not be killed by the fire (Daniel 3:27). However, ultimately, the single reason God gives grace to anyone is so that such a person will draw others to Jesus (Daniel 3:24-25). While we ask God for grace, we must learn never to take the grace of God in vain. Night will come on every man at some point. It may not be death; it may be as a result of ageing, weakness or lack of opportunity (John 21:18). As a safeguard, we must learn to walk in covenants and always set targets.

PRAYER: Dear Father, please help me never to take Your grace for granted, Amen!

*TEXT:* ROMANS 4: 13-18 _*(NKJV)*_

4:13. For the promise that he would be the heir of the world [was] not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
4:14. For if those who are of the law [are] heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,
4:15. because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law [there is] no transgression.
4:16. Therefore [it is] of faith that [it might be] according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
4:17. (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations" in the presence of Him whom he believed -- God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
4:18. who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."

*MESSAGE:*

From today's passage, we see that God's promises to Abraham were not based on the Mosaic Law. When the promises were made (Read Genesis 12: 1-3, 17:1-22), the Mosaic Law had not come into use. God related with Abraham by affirming his righteousness through the faith he had in Him. The law alone cannot bring us into the fulfilment of God's promises; this is not because the law is bad, but the righteousness of faith is essential.

Beloved, if there is anything God rewards, it is faith and not unbelief (Heb. 11:6). You can unlock the fulfilment of those promises through your unbending faith in God. He is the promise-keeper who will never joke with His promises (Numb. 23:19). Do not be discouraged by the circumstances and situations that stare you in the face, trust in Him and He will count it as righteousness for you. You can experience deliverance from sin, strength in the Christian race, and by the grace of God, do great exploits through His name when your faith in Him is immovable.

Lord, please help me to believe in You more and more in Jesus' Name, *Amen!*

3:21. When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.
3:22. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased."
3:23. Now Jesus Himself began [His ministry at] about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) [the] son of Joseph, [the son] of Heli,
3:24. [the son] of Matthat, [the son] of Levi, [the son] of Melchi, [the son] of Janna, [the son] of Joseph,

THE MESSAGE:

Jesus' genealogy as recorded in our text today points to the fact that He shared some ties with men. It also indicates that they knew His family record which was a hindrance to their believing in the genuineness of His Sonship. The only saving grace was the new identity He received after His baptism. God said "You are my beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.". What a wonderful revelation for a new identity!

People might have looked down on you. Your relatives, colleagues and acquaintances might have doubted your usefulness because they know every of your detail from birth. This is the same experience Jesus had until He was 30 years. However, His turnaround came after His baptism and when He prayed, the heavens were opened and His new identity was revealed. Today's text draws us to pray the more for the fulfilment of God's purpose for our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the fulfilment of Your mandate in my life in Jesus' Name, Amen!

*TEXT:* LUKE 2: 41-52 _*(NKJV)*_

2:41. His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.
2:42. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.
2:43. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother did not know [it;]
2:44. but supposing Him to have been in the company, they went a day's journey, and sought Him among [their] relatives and acquaintances.
2:45. So when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.
2:46. Now so it was [that] after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
2:47. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
2:48. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously."

*MESSAGE:*

It is a costly assumption to conclude that you are in Christ, when in reality you are far away from Him. In our text today, Jesus' earthly parents were looking for him in the crowd until they discovered He was not with them. It took three days before they found him in the temple listening to and sharing the word of God. He then made his parents realise the importance of being at his 'Father's Business' - the exact place where God wanted him to be.

Today, many people have left Jesus behind in pursuit of worldly things, thinking that He is still with them. Many think that He can only be found among the crowd, so they choose to club, party and even go to mega churches with mammoth crowds, because they think Jesus can only be found there. No! He may not be in the crowd. You are to return to God with the totality of your heart today, and you will find him when you seek him in spirit and in truth.

Dear Father, please help me to draw closer to You wholeheartedly, *Amen!*

TOPIC: LET GOD CHOOSE FOR YOU
READ: GENESIS 13:16-18 (NKJV)

13:16. "And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, [then] your descendants also could be numbered.
13:17. "Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you."
13:18. Then Abram moved [his] tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which [are] in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

THE MESSAGE:

Abram in order to give room for peace asked Lot to choose any portion of the land for himself. Lot went for the best of the land: most fertile, greener part and departed (Genesis 14: 10-11). After Lot's separation from Abram to enjoy his so-called fertile land he had chosen, God instructed Abram to walk on Lot's assumed left-over, and assured him that He would make his seed as the dust of the earth. God's promise came to Abram because he allowed peace to reign (Genesis 13:14-15). God's blessings will only come to those who allow Him to always have His ways in their lives.

In all your endeavours, allow God to be your best motivator, obey all His instructions and walk with Him by faith, and not by sight. Always know that God will only bless whatever He chooses for you. In all your dealings, allow God to choose for you and you will be glad you did. He will always back up His choice for you with tremendous blessings.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always accept Your choice for my life in, Amen!
