Hi Fellow Nairalander i need your advice on how to invest a loan i have secured from a federal government program.

I applied for a much higher amount but they gave me 1.5m. But to be Honest i'm extremely nervous on how to invest this money, especially considering that it will not execute the business i initially wanted to do.

I dont want to lose this money especially because its a loan that i have to start paying back in the next 6 months. A friend is asking me to invest the money in his Business but i'm not okay with joint venture.

Please what business with low risk do you think i can start with this money that can pay back the loan. I will really appreciate your kind responses.

JEJELY find your own place to live... instead of buying land so you can stay even longer under your parents wings. BE INDEPENDENT AND DO WHAT YOU DESIRE WITH YOUR LIFE instead of staying like a hen under your folks. i guess they are not ready to cut the ties.... harder for them, than you it seems.

if you are as smart as you seem to be, you can buy land when you are ready/willing to do so in the future.
you can do both if you plan it well

Romance / Re: She dumps him 8 years ago and wants him back now. by EngrXrix(m): 9:40pm On Aug 13, 2020
Kongaone:
Hello romancelander.

A friend of mine dated this girl in 2012 for almost a year during his first job with a 100k salary. She was 21 while he was 23 years old then. She was in her final year and was receiving monthly allowance of 20k from her parents. Though she has accommodation in the hostel but she prefers staying with him in his apartment which was very close to her school. My guy was taking care of this girl whose entitlement mentality was so high. They were eating outside almost everyday as she couldn't cook then. He loved her so much and wouldn't mind marrying her thus he was footing all her bills and was sending very little home to his parents and siblings. This lady still complained that he was looking after his family more than he takes care of her needs.

In days when my guy was so broke she would never assist him even as a loan. She was so beautiful and intelligent that she was the dream of most guys on campus. At a point she called the relationship off stating that she wants to go back to her ex and my guy who was so tired of the relationship but never wanted to hurt her accepted in good fate.

As luck may have it he got a new job ssme year with double pay in Lagos. She later came back saying her calling for a quit was just a joke but my guy requested they just take a break and re evaluate the relationship. He left the town and moved to Lagos, they communicated for few months and lost communication. She deactivated her social media contacts and was no where to be found.

Fast forward to 2020, my guy (now 31) is married with twin boys and has properties and investment in Lagos with a salary of about half a million. He's now looking very fresh and handsome (na money be fine bobo). He placed his wife on 60k monthly allowance and opened a shop for her. Some months ago this his ex girlfriend chatted him that she's in Lagos and they met with their love almost rekindling. She now works in Lagos with 60k pay.

Now this lady (now 29) and still single is accusing my guy of not making much efforts to look for her while he was single. Said she regretted her past actions and has completely changed and felt she was the one married to him. She even said she can accept to be his second wife or his baby mama and won't marry any guy who is not like my guy (in terms of character, emotion and ofcourse money).

My guy has come to me for advise, pls if you are him what will you do? Matured minds pls.
na u be the guy Bros.

SUPERPACK:

Continuation.
.
Kelly said he left with the expectation that the delay in the transaction was due to the network issue but was shocked when he came back after 5hours and demanded to see the transaction history as he is yet to receive the money.
He wrote, Today, I went out to a POS station to credit money from my First Bank account (which I don’t use for internet banking) to my Zenith Bank account (which I use for internet banking). It was to enable me send cash to a friend and also to make some other financial transactions.
After successfully withdrawing the money, I asked the cashier, a young girl who should be about 15 – 17 years, to send it to my other account as per my intention. She asked for my details, and I gave it to her.
Rather unusually, she asked that I read it out loud for her and soon after showed me a debit alert of the transaction being successful. I didn’t get an alert on my end to corroborate, but I left assuming it was some network issue.
Some five hours later, when I still hadn’t received a credit alert, I went back to make complaint. She claimed it was probably the network issues with banks and that I should give it some more time.
Reflexively, I requested to recheck for the debit alert, which she had received just to be sure there hadn’t been a mix-up. She obliged.
I went through the alert information and discovered something funny. There was a number attached to the “First Bank” debit message she received, which I instinctively considered odd. I called the number and her friend’s phone rang right before us.
Long story short, this demon had me read my account number and name for confirmation, just to have her friend type out a debit alert; her friend whose number had been saved as “First Bank.” I was furious and was near physically violent, restraining only because she was a child.
But I was angry, and I yelled at her, which attracted a crowd. I explained to them what had happened. Someone called her employer and I had my money returned to me.
She had been running this scheme for a some time on unsuspecting people. The fact that you can’t even trust guys these days.
Things dey occur for this country!!!
when I said we need to change our character they didn't listen. see bro corruption is even in the heart of a 7year old. that how bad the country is.

Observant BBNaija viewers have filmed moment Ka3na stylishly used her right leg to drag her shorts after a successful “football match” with Praise.

Recall that earlier today, Made4NaijaTv shared a video of Praise and Ka3na engaging in a rigorous “football match” whilst other housemates were asleep.

With the videos that’s been trending online, viewers are convinced that Praise and Ka3na really relieved themselves of the ‘heat’ that’s been worrying them for a while now.

A follow up video has now made it evident that something really went down as it captures moment Ka3na used her feet to pull up her shorts which obviously changed location while they were at it.

I am a guy of 29 years old and she's 24 years old. She is a nurse and she is working and earning good salary. We have been dating for the past 3 years, ever since she came into my life things have been moving forward. Between the space of three years I was able to buy a land and build two flat (almost completed) and also buy a nice car. All this was possible because she was in my life. She assisted me with the money she accumulated before she met me, (2 million naira) gave it to me to add it to the money I was using to build the house, she has really been the best thing that has happened to me. We both have never cheated on each other, I'm very happy having her in my life. During the period of covid 19 my business was shut down totally she was the one that sustained me Althrough and never complained.

She later resigned from her nursing work and started her own chemist shop, I supported her with 300k she rejected it and asked me to add it to the money for house project. She is making some good money from her store any way.

Now we plan to do our marriage by December and I budgeted more than 1 million naira.
the problem is that she insisted that it is too much that I should not spend more than 500k that's been a problem to us but later settle it. because she won't just listen to me she wants me to spend less than that the reason why I wanted to spend more than 1 million Naira was because she deserves it.

So because of that we adjusted the marriage to three months time since it's just 500k I am spending now my question is can I spend 500k for a moderate marriage? And I wanted to do something tangible for her because she deserve more than everything I have, please what other things can I do for her that will be equivalent to everything she has done for me.

Since we have been dating she has never asked me for big money and also when ever I give her she always tells me that she gat money that no need to give her, in fact she love me so much that she don't even accept money from me unless gift. Now I want to do something tangible for her because since I have been dating her she doesn't allow me spent on her that much, and she doesn't complain.
u better listen to her oga. that's my two cents.

Members of the House of Representatives have given the Minister of the

Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, 48 hours to release the names of the National Assembly members who have been awarded contracts by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
.
Akpabio at the investigative hearing of the House on Monday, July 20, claimed that most of the contracts by the NDDC were awarded to lawmakers.
.
During its plenary sitting this morning, the Minority Leader of the House, Ndudi Elumelu, said the Minister, who alleged 60 percent of contracts from the NDDC was given to members of the National Assembly, should publish the benefiting lawmakers, especially members of the 9th Assembly.
.
Elumelu said the names of their companies and the contracts they got should be published or face the wrath of the House. He argued that such a statement casts aspersion on the integrity of the House and must be proven by the minister.
.
According to Elumelu, the Minister owes it a duty to himself, the House Committee on Niger Delta, the people of Niger Delta and Nigerians to publish the names of lawmakers who got contracts from NDDC.
.
Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila said should the minister fail to publish the names, the House will employ the full wrath of the law to ensure he does so.
if this is true then we really HV greedy people in power. I don't see how you will get constituency allowance to execute projects in ur communities and still get contracts from NDDC.
Politics / Re: NNPC Spends ₦10 Billion On Comatose Refineries In April by EngrXrix(m): 10:03am On Jul 18, 2020
some of the major problems I discovered these refineries had was that they had too many business minded staffs compared to technical minded staffs. technical staffs that know when, what, and how to fix a broken equipment in a cost efficient and timely manner to sustain production. rather we have staffs who are only after what comes to their pocket and how much is involved in a process so they can cut their share of the money. Also therea is no clear maintenance strategy for these plants. the only clear maintenance strategies executed on these equipments are majorly reactive maintenance and TAMS( TURN AROUND MAINTENANCE). this is wrong and will only lead to imminent failure of equipments. preventive maintenance is the only way to ensure optimum up times of these equipments. the nnpc does not HV a computerized maintenance management system in place to help manage maintenance activities of their plants.

The minister accused the PDP of wasting huge amount of money that ought to have been used for infrastructure on things that do not matter.
Plus TV Africa on Friday quoted Fashola to have said “If we had put the $12billion we paid creditors in 2005 into infrastructure, we would have been telling a different story now” we opted to pay creditors. This was the same year Dubai was building what we see now”

I sincerely agree. Pdp wasted us. But blind party loyalist will come under this thread to whail.
