Are Nigerians really hungry! Or it's just cruise? |
It's not a must to drive a petrol driven car. There are alternatives like CNG which have been proven times without number to work perfectly. Therefore, I see no reason for this lamentation! |
One major problem we have in this country is that those who claim to be educated seriously lack comprehensive skills. Another thing is that some see everything about government from a biased point of view. Now back to the Koko. The issue is this: if you make a down payment on a commodity with price flexibility and without an agreement on price at due delivery date, at what price should the seller sell to you if price changes after payment? I believe a contract must have been drawn to address these issues before IPMAN members made those down payments else Oyobo! Money don waka. |
Kelklein:Well, the problem is that you can't see beyond your nose! Where will government get money to pay the difference between the real price and your expected price? These person's you called out know all these. It's time to face the fact that in terms of oil wealth, Nigeria is not a rich country given the size of her population. If countries in the west African region can go without subsidy, why can't Nigeria? Abi dem get two heads? It's time we stop these charades and move the country forward. Someone has to pay the price for greatness because a leader has said the time is now! |
Okoroawusa:Yeah! This is the only way for Nigeria to move forward. Those complaining here like making silly comments about the country. Now a man has come to say the country must be great, gbajues are crying with eyes wide open! Just a profit margin of N20 on PMS as road tax can rehabilitate all the roads in this country. They want the country to be like those in Europe but they don't want to do what it takes to make it. |
Rebuke:If it doesn't involve garri or rice, I know you wouldn't understand! |
OkCornel:Keep repeating your question, I've given you the answer |
OkCornel:@the bolded. A father that can't discipline a child when he (the fathe)r knows it's the right thing to do is an idiot. If Jonathan believed that the right thing to do was to remove subsidy then why did he back down? That tells you that he's a bad leader and should be removed from office. Once a leader believes that he's doing the right thing, he should stand his ground. Jonathan was the one playing politics with our lives because as the leader then he had the last say. But second term greed did not allow him. Opposition will come even when you're doing the right thing but your ability to resist pressure from bad influence makes you a good leader |
surgical:An ignorant man will never agree he's ignorant. You think you have all the information on your palm! You lie! You don't. This same thing was what happened in 2013 or so, during the subsidy protest. You don't know shit and you don't know if you're a puppet on a string! So, stop saying you know something! You know nothing! Whether Tinubu is on the right track or not, time shall tell but to (me), he is because removal of subidy is a step in the right direction. Nigerians have been spoon-fed for so long a time that we think that government is responsible for us instead of the other way round. |
OkCornel:They say "ignorance is bliss". As at the time Tinubu protested against subsidy removal, Tinubu acted based on what he knew at that time. He was not in government. Jonathan that was in government and had all the information/knowledge of government workings and the machinery to act, failed. Like I said earlier, it's like a child that wants to watch TV all day. As at that time of his/her life, that is the best decision and anyone telling him/her something contrary to that is wrong. When that child grows older and has knowledge, the child will know that that was the wrong thing then. But when the child, now a father fails to impact that knowledge on his child, then it becomes a failure. Jonathan was a failure in all sense of the word. It's not a crime to protest because you do so based on the knowledge you have at that time but it is criminal when you know that that issue will lead to chaos later and you still allow it to continue. |
OkCornel:it's like a child that wants to sit in front of TV all day. To the child, the parents are bad if they prevent him/her from watching but the parents know best. If the parents succumbs to the child's urge, then that parent is a bad one. That was what Jonathan did. He lacked the will to move the nation forward just because of greed (second term) |
OkCornel:if Jonathan cannot do what he believes is right for the country then I will say it was good riddance to bad rubbish |
Softmirror:Some people think greatness and success comes overnight! They want to behave nonchalantly and expect success. Ask the GOAT Ronaldo. As rich as he is doesn't take sugary drink! Not because he can't afford it but because of its consequences to the body system. That is call discipline. You have to reap what you sow. The situation of Nigeria did not come overnight. It's an accumulation of deferment of solutions to a problem we all knew existed. Now, someone has said we must take the bull by the horns! Some lunatics are claiming he is the problem. We have to cut out the gangrene for the wound to heal. |
atiku4President:Rubbish talk! You guys like making comments that doesn't make sense. Hate GEJ how? So if you work for someone, you must lick their ass! Is that what you're saying. |
Nemere2020:See Mr importer/exporter talking! Mr consumption, are you not the number one importer |
KingWarri:Maybe if you had sat down to think this through, you wouldn't have spoken stupidity out of haste. The bottom line is making policies that will serve the greater good. Crypto is not a bad thing nobody said so. Even Tinubu may have some cryptocurrencies. The issue is that presently, it's being used by speculators, money launderers, terrorists and whatnots to run the Naira and the country aground. The policy is to serve the majority of citizens who are affected by the inflation caused by the instability of the naira. |

Niccoloimhotep:so! Because there's no job, you will sell your children and grandchildren into slavery! Rubbish and ingredients |
Kingpele:Threaten them how? You saw Nigerian police providing protection, and even giving them water and biscuits, even singing with them. |
magoo10:Divide the quantity of oil produced by these countries and Nigeria by theirs population and you'll see that Nigeria is the least. |
Connected1:quiet or no quiet, when it happens, eyes go clear |
Most of the kids here don't know the meaning of hijacking a protest! If that protest is hijacked, that may be the end of NLC as we know it. Hijacking of protest is very easy. Just infiltrate the protest with hoodlums and some rogue NLC members. without confrontation from anyone they start destroying citizens and government properties. This was very common during the military regime. All NLC executives will be arrested and put on trial. Case closed. |
DamnnNiggarr:Obi is just spewing rubbish. What did he do for Anambra when he was governor? That road he was jumping on like cricket in Okpoko is still like that till this day. Rubbish and ingredients. |
ikorodureporta:If you can live like a king in your country, why will you run to somewhere you become a slave? You japa doesn't mean you will make it. There are citizens that are homeless in the US. Nigeria that you want to japa from, some foreigners are coming here to make it. So it's not about the place but the mindset. |
FourQu:Oga you lack comprehensive skills. Even the stupid post you posted backs my statement in a way. It's a fact that at one time Communist China was very hungry. They shut their borders to the world, developed themselves and became self reliant. Today, they are among the best economies of the world. But you and your ilks think the country can move forward without erecting a strong foundation! For Nigeria to succeed, all forms of rent must be cut out. |
EreluRoz:if you had sense, you would not have written this rubbish you wrote. Your father is not poor because of Tinubu! Your father is poor because he had the same mentality you have now. He was waiting for government while the wise ones were looking for ways to take opportunity of the situation. Your write up says a lot about you. That you're a dependant and will always be poor |
FourQu:Don't ask me stupid questions. Go and read their history. There was a time they were dieing like rats due to hunger but today, they are better for it |
EreluRoz:Oga! Get sense small! Tinubu did not cause anything! Did you see Tinubu in the market increasing the price of garri? No. The country is going through a phase. Most countries have gone through this phase at one time or the other. An American president once said "ask what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you". Today, the are better for it. China also went through a phase. Germany etc. it is only in Nigeria that people want to eat their cake and have it back. Our oil money is not coming back to us. It's being use to pay debt yet you blame Tinubu as if he ate the money or put it in his pocket. Anyone that tells you that there's a way out is a liar. You must sow before you reap. |
Burob:Oga, don't mind the slowpoke. It is only in Nigeria that people expect to be fed while lazing their buttocks doing nothing. Everyone is shouting "we're hungry" no-one what's to do anything. |
Ketamine9000mg:You just want to hype yourself because this is a stupid question. |
It is not about being batified. It is about doing what is necessary. To cut out the gangrene involve pains. China locked it's borders and endured pains for 30 years to get to where she is today but you want success overnight. Oga no free lunch anywhere. What we need now is to support the government to do what's necessary so that our children and grandchildren can reap a bountiful harvest. We have to sow today to reap tomorrow |
