A family friend teaches at a foreign owned private school in maitama Abuja and she take home 150 as at the last time I know. Like few yrs ago.
As at 10yrs ago, a graduate of music education that teaches at unity school Abuja was collecting 130k. That was her start off salary after youth service. She was sponsored with other teachers to go for one study in France for one yr by the govt.

Study education in the uni and u will become hot cake. U will never stoop so low to apply to mushroom private schools.
Also, Lagos is clustered.
Quality teachers are needed outside Lagos especially in the middle belt and the north.

I hold a Bachelor degree in Education (English edu). I can teach English language, Literature in English, Government, Yoruba, etc effectively. Imagine we almost begged here not to be laid off at school reopening. Myself and my colleagues had to settle for a salary reduction from 15k to 12k so some of us won't be sacked. Please help a bro.

The OP still fat where I dey. I turned thirty six years old about a month ago. There is never a time I ever weigh beyond 50kg. It's always =50kg or <50kg. My wrist is just like 30cm student ruler & my legs like construction ruler. I used to be bothered. But now I wear my short-sleeve tops freely now. Though, I still av minimal low esteem , especially around ladies, caused majorly by my shape.

But one thing I like about d shape is I hardly get sick. I am physically strong but no much stamina. I still play street football actively among strongly/well built dudes.

Well, I'm in d same boat with the OP. I finished nysc @34 about fourteen months ago. No tangible job. Educator by training and practice but no dime paid since march. No skill, no business experience. Worst still, I'm a very conservative person dt may av it very tough to market any business I may think of dabbing into.

But unlike d OP, Capital for starting up sth for myself may not be issue personally, but what & how to sustain it is the real issue for me.

I believe background and experience/exposure play great role in one adapting fast to d reality of Nigeria after graduation.
