Misha Cares;
Having done with all the core courses(30 units) and an elective(2units) and registered for project last semester, do I have to pay the 18k as a returning pg student?

I guess you are a PG student. If those are all the courses you have to do, you don't have to pay the compulsory 18k this semester again. Just finish your project and submit. That's all.

Thanks for your response, I’m considering Journalism as I’m already Working in the field.

Per response I just need to wait and keep checking the website ?

Yes. But it will likely commence this week.

yak:
When will application commence ooo. I want to do pgd mass communication

TheLaughter:
NOUN postgraduate students do project defence?

All masters Students defend projects except MBA. PGD and UG don't.

Hello all, I want to apply for a masters course at NOUN. Hopefully so I can start this January

1) How do I do apply for admission ? I’ve gone to the website nouonline.net multiple times without seeing the option for apply for admission.

2) How long does a masters at open university take. Can I complete it by Jan of 2021 ? If I register this week ?
God bless you

1. Admission has not commenced but it will any moment from now.
2. M.Sc. can be as short as two semesters depending on your readiness and seriousness to take more courses in both semesters. A friend of mine did M.Sc. Information Technology in two semesters spending about 176k (project and seminar inclusive). You too can do.
NB. which of the courses do you want to study?

ihejimagha:
sorry 3 years going to 4

Wow! Keep trying and keep looking round for other opportunities as well. One day, it will get through. Getting jobs don't come easy in this country.

Rogersmith:
Does Noun waiver a course?

Enskynelson

Yes, they do sometimes. I know of some persons who enjoyed such. The bad thing is that you can't determine whether it will be waived for you or not.

subcbouy:
Did you get the BEng on the job or BEng before the job?

My post said it all. BEFORE.

ihejimagha:
Am also passing thru sane thing, my mates where upgraded and I was the only one left out, they said it was imitation, it's 4 months now, and nothing is been done abt it. I need help seriously

It took me 2years. Some persons in same situation are still waiting till now. Patience bro. God will favour you one day. You keep managing and keep trying to get out as well.

Chief Enskynelson...Hows Kaduna? Regards to your family.

still not clear... I mean after registering a course for 2500 or 3000 you will still pay another 2000 for that same registered course as exam fee?

Step one: Register for the semester. That gives you assess to do course registrations. It used to be 18k for returning students but 35/36k for new students (PG and UG respectively).
Step two: Register the course(s). UG is 2k or 2500 for 2units or 3units respectively while PG is 2500 and 3k respectively. This qualifies you for you hard copy of your course materials but if you stop here, you cannot do your tests/Assignments (TMA) as well as exams.
Step3: Register your exams for the courses you registered for. In step 2.1k per coutse for UG and 2k per course for PG. I hope this is clear now.

I feel like crying now...don't worry the Lord will promote you beyond what u 've gone through...I am very emotional person ...I hate to see people go through pain...good nite

Thanks for your concern bro. Amen to your prayers. Goodnight

greggng:
Chai what a waste of talent...level 3...,for a graduate. ...infact our leader 've made u guys use less. ..a graduate must start from level 7 or 8 and above....May be u were desperate to work. ...on the alternative u would 've been better frying akara and be selling at least become your own boss....B .Eng level 3 I hail u o

It was a terrible experience my brother. I worked like that for two years, served those that were supposed to serve me. But I was later considered for upgrade and now in Level 7. Unemployment is one and underemployment is another. Nigerian youths are trying seriously.

Xtine22:
please sir, do you mean to sit for a course one need to part with 5k; that is course registration and exam fee?

To sit for a course, u have to first do semester registration before course registration then exams registrations. In that order

greggng:
Hehehe ...are u a cleaner? There is dignity in Labour anyways. Try go to part time school to get more education that will enhance your promotion ...God will bless your little beginning

See your sef! I have graduates serving as clerical staff and cleaners where I work. It's not all low level staff that are having low qualifications. I started at Level 3 even when I had B. Eng in my organization.

Odunolumide:
The thing is ,my course of study is a science related course and I would like a school where I can get enough practical experience. I don't know if NOUN can offer that

OK. I see. NOUN has no M.Sc. Botany or a closely related course. But they approved M.Sc. Public Health recently although I don't know the requirements yet since they are yet to commence fully

Odunolumide:
Which Federal Uni in S/W will you advise for M.sc programme with a budget of 100k for the first year. Urgent pls

NOUN will do. A friend of mine did M.Sc. Information Technology with 176k.

Dampop1:
Good Evening,
I just checked my results (MBA) they are all incomplete, what does that means?

Check the Remark... NT = No TMA, NE=No exams. So, which do you belong?

pyrated:
Good evening,

Pls my result is showing NE incomplete...please what could be the problem and how can I resolve this?

NE means NO EXAMS
Did you sit for the exam? If you did, you may proceed to your Study Centre with evidence of registration and evidence of attendance for the exams with a written complaint letter to the HOD through your Study Centre Director.

intswagga2:
Portal was blocked since 2019 first sem
That's 2 sems ago... Will it be re-opened

What was the reason for the block? Most portal block are due to Exams malpractice and other offences. The duration of block depends on your offence. Were u served any notice from your Study Centre when you were blocked?

December 6/7 2019, I got married to the first girl I ever dated!

emmyvet:
Hello house,
Please I will like some one to help with some information for NOUN Msc programme.

1. What is the maximum credit load per semester? Still
24units for Msc ?

2.How much do they charge for a 3credits and
2credits course registration and exam?

3. How much is the semester compulsory fee for MSc
students?

4. Some years back in while in first semester you can access and register for even second semester courses so far you have not exceeded the 24units max unit, please can someone confirm if this can still be done?

5. Looking at the requirements for MBA I observed most of the first degree courses listed as requirements are mostly management courses, does it mean NOUN MBA programme is not open for students with first degree in science courses?

Please I will be glad if someone can provide with useful and correct answers to the above questions.

Cheers!

1. Yes, 24units
2. Course Registration 2 Units 2500, 3Units 3000; exams registrations 2k for all examinable courses
3. Fresher 35k, returning student 18k
4. Yes, provided there are no prerequisite to the said second semester course.
5. Well... From the requirements, YES, you are right.

Xxxxx@gmail.com.Thanks

You may check your mail.... Do edit your mail in the post now as well.

You are reacting after several days, meaning you should have taken your time, analysed the responses. But after reading your reaction, I see no essence of the wait. Every Christian is quite aware that Christmas was not mentioned in the Bible but the fact is that not "being mentioned in the Bible" does not mean some thing is wrong with it.
By the way, you forgot to show us where it is was told we should pray "die by fire" in the Bible!

frexarik:
Compliment of the season......Please house how is the list order at back of my project is going to look like?
Thanks.

Drop your Whsatsapp number and I could help u with a document that can assist. Or email.

Odunolumide:
You not a true united fan bro. U a scoucer

Oh! Those fans that killed themselves after losing finals are the true fans abi? Abegiii...

I am a Man Utd fan but I prefer Liverpool winning than Manchester City. I am not among those fuming abeg. Fuming for what sef? That Mane, Firmino and Salah are better than Rashford, Lingard and Martial? Haba! This is hate speech.

H100:
While writing a date on any document in the upcoming year 2020, please write it in its full format,

e.g. 31/01/2020 and not as 31/01/20, 'cos anyone can change it to 31/01/2000 or 31/01/2019 or in between any year.

This can render the document invalid.

So be cautious about this.

Don't write and also don't accept it in any document.

This problem will persist only during the year 2020.

Agree?

I'm a final year student of Criminology and Security Studies, the recently released result I hope will be my final exam result in NOUN. But now, I failed a core Course, of which I believe I did well. Although I got 19 for the overall TMA score, I strongly believe I was marked-down.

Please, can anyone guide me on what to do so I can be able to apply for a remark before the graduation list is release. I already spent 5 years on this course and I've never fail any courses before..

I need help, please.

Re-mark for a paper costs about 25k. Not too sure but I think it's about that amount. Be sure you wrote something that u can score not less than 21 in your exams before taking up the case.

24hrs, non-interrupted till now.

Thanks so much. Pls, is the sale of the 2019/2020 form for NOUN still on? When is the resumption date?

Check as from 7th January, 2020.

Want to do my PGD in Education. How long does it take to conclude this program in NOUN? I will really appreciate your responses. Thanks...

It depends on you. You can finish it in not less than two semesters. But can be more if you feel the courses per semester will be too much. See the courses here http://nou.edu.ng/registerable_2?field_faculty_name_value=Education&field_level__value=700
