For me, I think based on the impact recorded by Akume for ACN in a very short time of joining ACN, then it is very appropriate to give him the Minority leader.

For God's sake, I voted in Alimosho and I know how it took Tinubu's support for him to win. Ganiyu Solomon is a Political featherweight on his own, But Akume of Benue is a Political heavyweight in his own right.
What point will ACN score if they give solomon? Remember that PDP is considering giving either Ekweremadu's sit OR Majority Leader seat to YORUBA. So fixing a Ganiyu on the Minority Seat may be sacrificing LONG-TERM benefits for SHORT-TERM gains

I don't hate Tinubu at all. I simply know he is not a saint. His undue influence over Fashola I hate, yet I admire his contributions in check-mating PDP dollar for dollar, Newspaper for Newspaper, TV station (TVC) for TV station (NTA), Radio(FRCN) for Radio (RCont etc).

The Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability, Dr Kingsley Muoghalu, briefing the media on happenings within his directorate in the last one year, said negotiations were still on concerning some of the banks, promising that the apex bank would ensure that mergers and acquisitions outcome conformed with financial service stability.

We already know who the RESCUED BANKS are. Those given lifelines by CBN whose MDs were fired.
Seriously, I think it is a wrong approach for Sanusi to make the deadline public or to give them September! This is an FOI disadvantage if u ask me. A man I know of just withdrew N400Million from just one branch. Just because CBN has fixed Sept 30th!
When everyone does this, it will nose-dive the market value of these otherwise STRONG banks and they will be at the mercy of any tom and harry by 30th Sept.
Again, September 2011 is too early to divest the CBN lifeline to them. Why not allow them a grace of 30th Dec 2011 or say 30th Sept 2012?

CBN categorized banks into Commercial, Merchant, Specialized (i.e Mortgage Banks and Development Banks).
The Development banks provide finances for 'development'.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has given September 30 deadline for the rescued banks to get acquired or face liquidation. The Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability, Dr Kingsley Muoghalu, briefing the media on happenings within his directorate in the last one year, said negotiations were still on concerning some of the banks, promising that the apex bank would ensure that mergers and acquisitions outcome conformed with financial service stability.

Already, he said three banks namely, Intercontinental Bank, Fidelity Bank and Union Bank, had concluded their negotiations on mergers and acquisition and would be holing their court ordered meeting where shareholders would approve the new structure by July 15, 2011.

Disclosing that other rescued banks were in the process of negotiations, Dr Muoghalu, however, stated that shareholders in these banks were stalling the process of mergers and acquisitions in them.

The CBN Deputy Governor said if by September 2011, mergers and acquisitions had not taken place in the remaining rescued banks as a result of shareholders agitations, the apex bank would involve its authority under the CBN Act, BOFIA and NDIC Act to liquidate those banks.

He said the apex bank had also come out with measures to restore sanity in the board of directors of banks such as the review of membership of such boards.

In furtherance of the November 2010 abolition of Universal Banking, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) came out with three new categorisation models for banks.

The new categories are Commercial Bank model, Merchant Bank model and Specialised Bank model.

He disclosed that following a circular on regulation of scope of banking activities and auxiliary matters issued on November 30, abolishing the universal banking model, the apex bank had decided to return the Nigerian banking system to the narrow banking model
With the narrow banking model, the deputy governor said banks would now concentrate on real banking activities, stressing that no bank could perform all activities at the same time.

Disclosing that banks were not supposed to engage in capital market activities, Dr Muoghalu said the apex bank abolished the concept of universal banking to save depositors fund and prevent speculative activities on the path of banks management.

Explaining the details of the banks categorisation, the deputy governor said in the Commercial Bank category, there were Commercial Bank International with a share capital of N50billion, Commercial National, with a share capital of N25 billion and Commercial Bank with a share capital of N10 billion.

Banks in this category are Access Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Diamond Bank, Spring Bank, Zenith Bank, Fidelity Bank, UBA, First City Monument Bank and First Bank( UBA, FirstBank and FCMB will operate as holding company)

Banks in the commercial bank national are ECO Bank, Standard Limited Bank, Sterlin Bank, Unity Bank, CitiBank and Stanbic Plc/( Stanbic will operate as holding company model).

Numbering the People
Until recently, it has not been possible to number everyone on earth. As knowledge has increased in the last days, it has now become possible to globally enforce economic, political, and religious conformity. Globalists envision a new age of peace and security, with a one-world political system, a one-world economy, and a one-world religion.

Cashless Society
Anyone who does not bow to the Antichrist and his religious partner, the False Prophet, will be put to death. When we raise our hands to worship God, we surrender all. Satan’s counterfeit of true worship will begin with the arrival of the cashless society.

Even with many credit card transactions you still have to sign a piece of paper. Keeping paper records increases costs dramatically. If a transaction is done electronically, it saves nearly one dollar per transaction.

Crime is a major factor. In a cashless society, no one will be in jail for bank robbery because there will be nothing to steal. Also, a cashless society is very attractive to the IRS, because, if the government has records of everything you do, it will be able to withdraw taxes from your income before you have a chance to spend it.

Will You Take the Mark?
Revelations 14 tells us what will happen to those who take the mark:

It is a permanent designation of ownership applied to your forehead or right hand. Anyone who takes the “mark” will be eternally lost. It is the mark of eternal destruction. In the digital age to come, the enforcement of financial obligations will not be difficult because failure to pay up could be disastrous. Your account could be cut off, making you a non-person for not paying your bills, for refusing to join the global financial system.

No Secret
The implementation of the technology that will become the forerunner of the mark of the beast has not been done in secret. It has been building for a long time. In fact, globalists boast of the progress they have made to digitize all commerce.

What Will the “Mark of the Beast” be Like?
You cannot get the “mark of the beast” accidentally. You will have to make a conscious choice to receive it. You will have to mean it. After all, you will be pledging your allegiance, dedicating your whole life to the most attractive, charismatic dictator the world has ever known. The False Prophet will make worship of “the beast” almost irresistible. You will be promised protection, eternal life, peace and prosperity, if you worship the being who claims to be God, and receive his special mark. People will line up to get it. They will be allowed to buy food, water, medicine and clothes. They will feel honored to get it. Most other people will be getting the “mark.” Will you want to stand out as one of the few “holdouts”? It will be the logical, intelligent, patriotic thing to do.

Real ID Rebellion
Many states have decided to reject the unfunded mandates of the REAL ID Act, a massive national identification program the federal government is trying to foist on the American people through their states’ drivers licensing systems. It has been promoted as the solution to national security, illegal immigration, identity fraud and more. In reality, the federal government wants to coerce states into building a multi-billion dollar system for identifying, tracking, and controlling law-abiding citizens.

Real ID to Get a Makeover?
At one point, with so many states refusing to comply, and the Department of Homeland Security continuing to issue deadline extensions, Real ID was considered “dead in the water.” Real ID was buried, but it did not stay dead.
Other versions of a national identification system, such as the “enhanced social security card” or the “Workers ID Card” continue to be introduced in Congress, while Real ID may yet be resurrected. The Department of Homeland Security is now working with the National Governors Association to propose revisions to the Real ID Act. The NGA says that implementing the program could cost close to $11 billion over five years. Many states cannot afford this, and the federal government will not fund it.

Mark of the Beast Needed to Buy or Sell
According to Revelation 13:15 – 18, every person will be forced to have a number, without which they will be unable to buy or sell. If you want to have a job, you must have a valid, government recognized ID, and be in the global database. No job? No buying or selling. When this system is activated worldwide, the mechanism will be in place for implementation of the “mark of the beast” that was prophesied 2,000 years ago.

Another poster thinks Fashola is Tinubu's Godson - I have no problem with it, it is the poster's perception/opinion that can be argued/discussed without throwing insults.

But when in the course of defending your arguments, you starts calling posters/whole ethnic group insulting names, then I have a lot of problem with that.

Make your points and arguments, but do it without insulting any poster or any ethnic group - statements like "it sucks to be Yorubas/ibos/Hausas" is totally unwarranted.

The greatest mobilizer of the Honorables and their godfathers actually carried the day. Although I like Mulikat adeola-Akande, she didnt do well in that regard. maybe its because no Rich Governor really pulled funds for her to use as some Northern Governors did for Tambuwal.
But it is popularly believed among the Honorables that she simply relied on the PDP zoning and Dane Patience

The groundwork for the phantom Jobs was not properly carried out. It was all Political and couldn't be sustained. How can u have employees without sustainable and profitable work? This is the same problem I have with the N50B smuggled into our National Budget 'to solve unemployement'. You don't solve joblessness like that. If not Ikedi would have cleared all the outstanding salaries of these youths before leaving.
