Yes i get you. By that i meant it is still too early to assess.

I believe he will work well with Bruno, Pogba, Greenwood and Cavani. Even AWB will look better as their understanding improves. He is a willing passer and AWB is a willing runner. It might not be Sancho/Hakimi but the right side will definitely improve.

Our problem is in the 2 holding midfield roles. I take no pleasure in saying neither McTominay nor your man are good enough. We move the ball through midfield like we are rolling a boulder up a hill. The sensible move would be to get a proper CDM and/or give VDB a shot but the man in charge has blinders on.

I'll wait and see what Sancho offers then because those two holding midfield roles are not changing anytime soon

Not having a good press resistant CDM is one of the main reasons why we lose the ball so easily in our half.

If our CDMs were agile, able to receive the ball on the half turn, and had decent range of passing Maguire and Lindelof wouldn't have to always run with the ball out of defense. They have to do this because whenever they pass the ball into Fred (who is not aware of danger) or McTom (who is too aware of danger) we lose the ball anyway.

And of course when a CB keeps running out of defense with the ball he is asking for trouble.

The manager himself appears to lack the ability to impact our build up play but that is no news. Most reasonable people already know he is limited. Part of his limitation however is not seeing the deficiency in that midfield.

Bruno lost the ball without a fight for that goal. Our players are not aggressive enough

I don't see how a very good DM will cover up some of these deficiencies we have refused to address in the team. We can't continue to lose the ball in our half so easily and not expect to be punished.

Its funny how some of us thought Sancho will just come and start doing magic. The system has to be right too for his presence to be felt. Maybe he will soon be dragged like others are. Maybe he won't be world class anymore. I hope not

What are you saying? You expect 3 natural forwards to do what exactly against a Soton team sitting deep?. Ole is happy to play two pivots that contribute nothing creative against a team that sits deep. That man should be shot!

Pogba Greenwood Bruno Sancho Shaw all supporting the attack. AWB joins too, that's 6. They don't have to be natural to make an impact.

We need to play better without the ball. Passing out of the back is still a problem. These players can't be losing balls like this, especially the senior players

we still need like 5 more signings to be up there with mancity(squad depth wise) but that doesn't become an excuse for the fraud not to win something.we have seen teams with worse squad depth win trophies.(liverpool 19/20,leicester 15/16 etc comes to mind)

Every big club goes through a hiatus, a period when they will find it difficult to get it right. It might be a result of increased competition, money, fatigue or any other factor. The fact remains, a big club cannot remain competitive for ever except when there is no competition from its rivals. Fergie kept Liverpool in hiatus for decades. That coincided with the emergence of new football powerhouses like Chelsea and Mancity.
Now manutd has been in a hiatus since Fergie left (this is normal) and you expect one manager to come and fill his vacuum perfectly.
Fergie, as a personality won United at least 10 points per season. That's why some rival fans ascribe him the position of epl influencer. That is gone with him, more clubs are grooming themselves to be more competitive. In the midst of these, some manutd fans still fantasize about overnight success. Hmmmmm

If we go back some pages I'm very certain we'll find where you guys have called these same United players names and not good enough for the first team/club like Manchester United.

We all witnessed the rants here when they renewed Mata nd Matic's contract. All of a sudden they are now world beaters.

If some of those players in the city were in our team, there will be multiple rants about them too

Ederson is the best GK in Manchester with the ball at his feet. He can is an outlet to relieve pressure from the opponent and won’t hit it route 1 when pressed.

He can pick out a teammate in midfield in this situation.

You cannot do that with De Gea. Henderson is better than De Gea in this regard but he’s not as good as Ederson.

Shot stopping skills, De Gea has really regressed but you can say he’s still better than Ederson in that regard. However the difference in quality in that regard is not very much. Same with Henderson.

Do you disagree with all these?

I haven't checked, but did you consider the amount and quality of saves both sides have to make per game?

A good proportion of Pogba's pay is related to his image rights and marketability. If anyone deserves 400K at United it's Pogba. He is the most popular and marketable United player. So relax sir.
