Actually it’s very easy to defend Ole. There are many points to defend Ole and there are many loopholes that can be exploited in the points you guys always bring up to criticize him. False again. Remove 6 from our GD and we still have a worse GD record than Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham and even Arsenal who are outside the top 10. I didn’t bother to add city because obviously you know City are clear.

If we want to win the title, should we be conceding so many goals? Which title winning team ever conceded 30 goals at this stage of the season? If you want to compare our GD record with teams below us and use that as an excuse that our defence isn’t bad, then maybe you know in your heart that we are not strong enough to win the title yet. The fact that others are conceding many goals too is no excuse for our rubbish defence. Not everyone spent over 80 million on a single CB.

The question was never about our defence being bad anyway(although that is a known fact). I was just rubbishing the notion that Ole has no tactics. There is no way we score so many goals without tactics. Apart from the goals, we always create tons of chances every match day. We wouldn’t create so many chances if the coach wasn’t employing good tactics.

Wow Ole tactics is doing wonders for our attack. Woodward is at fault for our defense record, or who do we give the glory to for this unwanted record?

please don't misunderstand my opinion, I only mentioned the United players who would make it into peps team. Bro if you follow football well, and followed pep, u would know he always plays a single holding midfielder who is very flexible except in the case of fernandinho, besides Fred and Tom Tom aren't recognized defensive midfielders that's why OGS plays both of them together. Rashford and Sterling can play in thesame team together with cavani.

That's not why OGS plays them together my friend. They're the only two CM in that team that can give that energy the midfield needs for 90 minutes. They offer solidity in defense and keep the ball moving when there's a turn over for attack.

what I mean by efficient is his all round play is better than that of Bruno. his coordination is superb, intelligence is something else. Bruno is equally very good, but he lives for the assists and goals and when they are not forth coming his general performance is quite poor.
Am sure you know this, check Bruno's performances against the big teams and compare to that of kdb. point of note, kdb is a central midfielder who plays as a attacking midfielder because of his qualities, my Bruno is an out and out attacking midfielder.

Watch some of KDB passes, those passes won't work in this United team. Nobody is ready to attack those sudden passes because the players can be very lazy. Without those runners and quality movements, KDB will be good but not that good. If Pep handles Bruno, his passes will be more quality and efficient than it presently is. Sometimes, it looks like he's in a hurry to pass the ball. Pep would have corrected that.

In attack Rashford and cavani will do. mc tominay, Bruno and Greenwood would make up the bench as squad players...
Boss do not be decieved, man city have better players than United, it only needed pep to bring in the perfect game plan. United equally have some really good players with bad game plan and set up.

Without KDB, we can see how very efficient that team is with the ball. The movement from the team mates is very important and present players with the ball with options. They can pass the ball knowing that a team mate will do everything possible to get on the end of that ball. But how many times have we seen our players give up on a pass when they should be making an attempt to get on the end of it? KDB is efficient, Bruno end product is much higher? this kind of efficient is confusing though

I think we have a problem as a collective unit even though our defenders have made comical errors...

My man eph12 will always fault the collective while I think our defenders haven't covered themselves in glory especially our CBs...For instance, that last goal by Everton is comical as I don't get if we were playing a high line or defending deep and that's something we are supposed to have ironed out in training in any case of a last minute set piece...

The coaching crew should do well to improve our collective team play (especially pressing) and our defensive coordination...

That goal was probably the 10th we've conceded from set piece this season. It's a serious concern if not for our coaching crew, for me. DDG refusal to come out has also contributed to this problem in a great deal.

We have conceded 12 goals from 3 matches we have no business conceding that much from. On a good day, we shouldn't be conceding more than 3. Imagine how a -9 on our GA will make our stats look much better. And this is just 3 matches out of 23.

If we didn’t score 9 against Southampton but rather scored 3 or 4, we would still be joint highest goal scorers along with Liverpool and even if we didn’t concede 6 vs Tottenham, we’d still be one of the teams with the most conceded goals in the top ten.

Southampton and Tottenham did not do any wonders. Without those results, the stats would still be quite similar.

I know you are trying to downplay Ole’s work, but at least you should have confirmed the stats before making your claim.

Lol calm down. That Southampton match did wonders to these stats. And then, that Tottenham match made our defense stats look worse than it should be. In summary, just about 3 matches out of 22 or so are responsible for our poor defensive stats when compared to others

I'm not impressed at all

Just see how City attackers and midfielders work hard to block the channels. They did that for 90+ minutes. Though our last match was an improvement, we will need those guys to do more consistently. In fact, only Cavani and Bruno were doing the pressing. It's one vital aspect of our game we need to improve

What we should concern ourselves is putting up a very good title challenge, getting our football back on track, improving the team's mentality, increasing our energy level to run 90+ minutes every game etc.

If we get all these sorted out, we can go on to do better with just 1 or 2 additions next season
