The season we signed Matic and Lukaku we finished 2nd on the table with a goal difference of +41 with Lukaku being the club highest goal scorer. Last season was a bad season generally and yet Lukaku was still the club highest goal scorer. Maybe you need some perspective on how you rate flop or success.

The season we finished 2nd was a one off. It was obvious that we only got there because other top teams were flopping all over the place. Immediately they sat up we were back to where to 6th which was where we finished the previous season.

The Europa we won was only prioritized when he realized that he couldn't do anything in the league. It wasn't like in the beginning he made the decision to throw away the league and go after Europa league. Did he?

Lukaku played as the striker for most of last season especially when Mourinho was here. Rashford played from the wings. Still everyone took turns to troll Lukaku for his weight, first touch, misses, poor control, etc. And this same Lukaku was a success because he scored 15 goals playing as the main striker? Should Lindelof had scored more than him?

Wan-Bissaka - Superb so far
Maguire - Superb so far, I actually thought he was overhyped by the English media, but the difference in defense is too clear to deny his quality.
James - Superb so far, still needs to improve sha but 3 goals in 3 games is something for a player signed for £16m.

Hope the club brings in more ballers like this three, and how Shaw suddenly became the weakest link in the defense is worrisome.

Mou was criticized for his style of play majorly. Even when we were winning Lana and adisa were constantly criticizing him and don’t believe he’s the kind of manager we need.

Now the players he signed:

Zlatan - scored 27 goals in all competition and help us win the Europa, Carling and Community shield.

Bailly - Was immense in his first season before injury started.

Lindelof - Be the judge yourself.

Pogba - Our most creative player. Blows on n off.

Lukaku - Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first season, being our highest goal scorer for that season. We finished 2nd that season. Scored 15 goals last season, still our highest goal scorer.

Matic - Immense the season we bought him, last season he became a liability due to loss of pace.

Fred - Dont know where to place this one, I still believe he will come good.

Dalot - Same as Fred.

Sanchez - FLOP

Which of these players can we count on now? Which of them could we count on while he was here before he was sacked?

It was said that he was requesting for new players when the ones he brought in has done nothing really worthy of note. Ibra lost a lot of chances that season, we ended up 6th in the league. Matic has never been a player you can count on through out a season. He was never for us. Pogba has always frustrated every united fan. Dalot we don't know his position. If you think Lukaku was a success good for you.

I remember that Mourinho was criticized because probably all the signings made during his time flopped. It's may be early but OGS signings have been impressive.

I still don't expect this team to perform any miracles. The midfield is trash. Is Greenwood creative or he goes for goals. How creative is James. Perreira is on and off. He can't pass for being creative. In summary we will still huff and puff, dominate games, concede and score, and end up with a draw or lose

Watch how the useless club will be dragging feet when the next transfer window opens. They never take things with all seriousness.

Klopp was available that year but they went for LVG. Pep was available but they let him slip to City. U let top managers slip to ur rivals and neighbours. Remove Pogba from the middle, he will always lose balls. While we were rejoicing about the defenders we brought in, I knew we would run into trouble and still leak goals if we don't sort out the midfield. No solid defense can make a team better in this era. Midfield will always win it

I think this sudden love and loyalty for Lukaku is more of a hatred for Rashford. Or hatred for the fact that we didn't get his replacement.

But for me, i hate strikers who throw chances away. Especially in a team like United where chances are limited.

Lukaku o, Rashford o, both of them are useless. It's just unfortunate that OGS will never bench Rashford.

If the team creates lots of chances, you wouldn't even notice most of the chances the striker wastes. We are noticing ours because we struggle to create chances. That's why I still think any elite striker will suffer in our team if we don't sort it out

His pass accuracy is even 80+ on the average, just 70+ on some few occasions. His number will even be better in a team like united. Is there a conspiracy to keep using Lingard? Someone that was on the pitch for almost one hour and attempted only 17 passes against a team that sat back. This is someone that is supposed to be the connection between the midfield and attack. How can the other two members of the midfield be averaging 50+ passes every match day and he is struggling to maintain 40+. Shame
