Only the Nigeria senate has the power to remove immunity, And I assure u that they won't.
Well thank God we have APC as the majority party right? Mr Buhari should be able to convince his party of the importance of this singular act.
Politics › Re: 'Immunity Or Not, You'll Face The Law' - Buhari On Corrupt Leader by eph12(m): 6:15am On Jun 01, 2015
He can't say immunity or not. With immunity anything he does will be unlawful and as such won't be accepted. I think he should first work on removing the immunity clause and then anything can go.

According to this article I found it was believed that Jonathan declared his assets to ccb as directed by the constitution but the contents of the declaration were not made public. That was what nigerians were asking for; for it to be made public not for him to declare his asset to ccb.

Politics › Re: Response To Asset Declaration By Sultan457 by eph12(m): 9:35am On May 31, 2015
PassingShot:
GEJ didn't declare his assets as president. He was forced to do it as VP and by the time he was elected in 2011 he had already stolen too much to make him declare his assets. So, GEJ NEVER DECLARED HIS ASSETS AS PRESIDENT.
Really? He didn't declare it to ccb? Are you sure about this?
Politics › How Time Flies by eph12(op): 9:33am On May 31, 2015
It's getting clearer by the day that it's easier to criticize than to the defend but then this new administration is just starting. It's going to be an interesting experience for those of us neutrals. Was it not just yesterday that APC loyalists on every social media jumped at every opportunity to question and insult every gesture of the former ruling party.

I still believe all these is good for our society. If all these criticisms does not move APC to be a better by far party then nothing can angry They should be better motivated to prove that they are different unless they are not.

Meanwhile in the next few days, after the house of rep and members of the Senate have been sworn in, I expect a motion for the reduction of their salaries and bonuses to me raised and passed without any objection.

This next few weeks is going to be very interesting.
Politics › Re: Response To Asset Declaration By Sultan457 by eph12(m): 9:21am On May 31, 2015
sultan457:
With response to allegation that the President did not declare his asset publicly he doesnt have to since he has submitted to the code of conduct bureau it is their duty to announce to the general public about the asset not the president himself.
Hope you're aware that GEJ did same too? But he was crucified. If PMB follows in the step of the former then where is the change?

I am in amazement and flabbergasted to know what you stand to gain in buhari's failure. Some folks have stood their ground and fervently want PMB to fail even before assuming office just to prove a point on their stance.

A country, where you live, earn your daily bread deserves your unlimited prayers to succeed in all her endeavours.

So, think twice if you want PMB to fail or succeed within the next four years.

As for me, I pray he succeeds.
Thanks. What about you?

modath:
Its Jonathan/Yar'adua's responsibility to probe the administration before them but it was not deemed important despite Jonathan himself proclaiming that they kept quiet about a $10 billion "stealing" they discovered.

Jonathan said he wasn't "interested" in politics but would bend over backwards to cling on to it at all cost including allowing the treasury to be plundered in an unrestrained manner.

The duty of this administration is to probe the one that preceeds it, nothing more nothing less.
grin grin grin
This administration can probe as far as 1914 if they want. The highlighted is wrong.
Politics › Re: Gej's Administration Trying To Hide Their Loot In The Grave - Read Before First by eph12(m): 12:51pm On May 30, 2015
egift:
I agree. But the part of don't probe is the problem. While ensuring looting public funds is not carried out blatantly, the past excesses that come to light, should not be swept under the carpet. If the table was turned, the story will not be the same. But my joy is that the boldness to loot, has been crippled.
We should be happy with this if true. That's all we ask for.
Politics › Re: Gej's Administration Trying To Hide Their Loot In The Grave - Read Before First by eph12(m): 12:04pm On May 30, 2015

I think the System should be open to carry out its mandate without limitations. Like strenghtening the Anti-Corruption Agencies, setting up a special Court for Prosecuting only corruption cases and reviewing our laws like the Penal Code and Police Act to reflect the realities of how public office holders steal in the 21st Century, etc.

What I find absurd is saying that unless other administrations are not probed till Independence that no one should ask question on how Jonathan and his cronies looted the Nation. It is wrong. The other day on "Political Voices" on Radio, someone even said it should include till the time of Lord Lugard or else it will amount to witch-hunting any effort to investigate what happened under Jonathan as President. Imagine!
Its wrong obviously that any one would say that. But one thing you must understand is that we have a fragile system. Any wrong move even though its for the right reasons may be dangerous. No matter how you see it, GEJ can't be probed and the likes of OBJ and Atiku are celebrated in the APC camp. Come to think of it, do you honestly believe Amechi would escape the wrath of the law if probed? Or Fashola et al? You should also know that before the end of Buhari's tenure he would have done something wrong. Either doing it himself or having to cover a wrong move of one of his aides. That's how the world works. GEJ is gone. Buhari and his team should do what they can to move Nigeria forward.

Politics › Re: Gej's Administration Trying To Hide Their Loot In The Grave - Read Before First by eph12(m): 11:29am On May 30, 2015
Was the administration before GEJ not PDP too? Why the hesitation in probing the 16 years of PDP after all its so obvious that they destroyed Nigeria. Don't let people see it as witch hunting. I fully support the probe of every past democratic leader, state or federal.

The parents because introduction does not really mean much. No dowry has been collected. So another guy can easily be introduced if her parents or the babe in question change mind. You can only help if you understand the financial status of her family and you know they're struggling financially.

Nigeria - (North) - (SouthWest) = Region B. [Where B = defunct Biafra ]

Region B is always know for celebrating Mediocrity. This is the problem i have with that region. Some pertinent questions comes to mind when viewing this picture, they are:

1. Why is he been celebrated now?
2. What did he achieve during his 7years of rule?
Its so sad to note that these people will never learn.
If anything made my day today. Its Buhari's move to end Region B Amnesty Program.

Ibangap:
Some of us abusing ASUU should also look from this perspective; what if they were really scared of speaking out for fear of their own interest, many would attest to the fact that the imediate past govt. would not condone any act of 'rebelious' policy that would geopardise the interest of it's friends or sympatizers, and we know that most of universities that was setup by the imediate past administration were either owned by one of it's own or by one of it's sympathizers. Under this situation, which of you would speak out and risk losing his source of survival? Mind you I'm not trying to defend them but you should consider yourself in their shoes under such administration where doing things the shady way is the norm.
You say they were scared of speaking out but they were not scared of striking for months? So those federal universities are owned by GEJ and his friends? Na wa o.
