OZAOEKPE:Ask Jonathan, and he will tell you that he was one of those 'fighters' who protested/liberated him from 'northern oppression' by ensuring that he was installed as a President without being bribed. |
sosanova:Out of all the government agencies, only EFCC/ICPC is charged with functions like this: how is that affecting the overall performance of other sectors with Ministers and Permanent Secretaries in charge if I may ask? For your information, if reduction of corruption to its barest minimum is all what PMB can achieve, I am satisfied. With all the mighty allocations to these institutions, no befitting infrastructures. No basic need like potable water. You see the VCs, Rectors and their bursars building state of the art edifices for themselves with looted funds from the schools. Despite huge allocations and the cushion fees collected from students, go to OAU, UI, UNIJOS etc to Nigerians to see the state of affairs if you are in doubt. Corruption is one of the major cankerworms eating Nigerians deep: all hand must be on desk to fight it ramificatively. God bless Nigeria. |

BOWOTO:Petty pick-pocket is quite different from notorious armed-robbers dude: stop making calling someone like you a dullard to seem like an honour. |
BOWOTO:So, the private plate number is irremovable or irreplaceable? Are FG cars/assets not distinguished? Are cars with private cars not get lost irretrievably? You are not a child. |
BOWOTO:"lol a car with a private number" Can't a car with private number be stolen or what? |
Skain:U don see free thing in life? Freedom is not even free in Freetown. |
|
BOWOTO:YOu need to go back to bed please. |
steady986:While I agree with you that recruitment process in government institutions lacks merit, I disagree with the fact that the chance of getting employment in this country on merit is 5%. Don't be fooled by this wrong/premature evaluation especially if you are still an undergraduate as it could not only spur you into poor mentality, but it can also have negative impact on your academic performance. Truly, job is scarce, but the few ones available are for the best candidates. However, you will agree with me that there are some positions that must be filled with right candidates as a matter of necessity in the operational activities of any firm. I moved to Lagos after graduation all because I hate running after one politician all in the name of getting job. Things get though from the beginning, but with the passage of time I was established. Private organizations are the best when it comes to 'meritocracy' in that they want to choose the best candidate out of the best candidates. In other words, their recruitment exercise is not the matter of whom you know but what you know as they provide a well-structured platform for practical tests and interviews before the final candidates are announced. This has been the norm in these organizations and it is still in operation till date. Without knowing anybody, I have secured many offers since 2010 after I finished my NYSC and I can tell you that I reject offers and ignore interviews sometimes from these private firms up till date. In actual fact, I know many people/superior staff who companies beg to resign their appointment to take up theirs in the company I am working up till today. Mind you, I have HND qualification in contrary to the belief of majority of HND holders that they are second class citizens when compared with their university counterparts. Work hard so that you can be confident of your qualifications: don't doubt your aspirations in the face of overwhelming challenge of unemployment: read and re-read most relevant courses you learnt while in school upon which proficiency tests would be based: don't just apply for any post; have a singleness of purpose: get more and more qualification(s) to further deepen your professional wherewithal etc Achievements sometimes depends on the grace of God, but it is noteworthy that our desire to acquire a desire must be re-fired always so that we won't retire our desires when things are going tough/in spite of all odds. The sky is your limit. |
Aseco:No branch of Zenith remains undecorated in December or have you ever seen a branch well decorated and planned better than Head Office? Or I forgot, Abia State Governor Office is better than Aso Rock ![]() |
Aseco:This is one of the corporate Social responsibilities of Zenith Bank: gerrit right. |
looseweight:That was his problem, I. e. over-ambitious plans. I don't think that Lagos can embark on the construction of such new public schools he embarked upon despite its vast resources. Why did he want to turn Osun to Lagos over-night? |
1shortblackboy:"Despite last Friday’s attempt by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, during its 168th conference to maintain its production quota so as to stabilize the crude oil market, the price of the commodity slumped further to $37.89 per barrel on Monday from $38.09 on Friday". The above refers. Nigeria experienced oil boom with $120 per barrel between 2011/12: how has our economy being diversified to cater for time like this? Why did we still experienced depletion of reserves during the past regime? Why did Nigerian Universities went on 11 months old strike, which was the longest in Nigeria history? Why did the past administration milked the unemployed youths during immigration exercise? Why did power sector not improved? What has been the effects of partial subsidy removal carried out by the last administration on Nigerian so far? Why did FG needs to borrowed to pay FG workers even till the end of the past administration? Why did Finance Minister said that Nigerian economy will face much difficulties till 2015 ends despite his World recognition? Put sentiments apart! The fact is that this administration will face much problem in terms of finance than any other government. |
Brugge:Stop misquoting me Mr man, nobody in his sane mind supports killings of innocent person. I show you the pics of protesters to show how primitive they were in their approach cos there is no where in the world a protest is called peaceful, where people holds cutlass, planks and other dangerous weapons. It is such a pity that the life of such innocent lady was wasted. Get the fact. |
nertonert:Any evidence to buttress the fact that she was killed by Police or I found it difficult to believe that you were not among these miscreants agitating for Biafra?
|
nertonert:Unarmed indeed! IPOB youths are full of thugs and miscreants: take it or leave it.
|
saintkel:Yea! U gerrit. However, nobody commits any crime to participate in a democratic elections that U are free to align ur self with anybody u feel like: stop blaming anybody/region for whomever he/she votes for. Only illiterate or uneducated literate reasons in such manner. God bless Nigeria! |
saintkel:Which sentiments are you talking about if INEC cancel an election in a LG where APC is having upper hand? People like you make it seems an honour to call someone a retard. Now I know where you are coming from. You can cry a river, APC will rule you and your descendants at least in the next four years: agony of a looser. |
calebo101: Was this not the same Lagos-Ibadan Expressway used by your Otuoke's drunkard to campaign? I wonder how it has not been completed since the day it has been commissioned by Goatluck Jonathan with Amosun in attendance since the days of ACN. |
ssweetorgasm:Your monica portrayed you as a male, while your comment seems feminist. You said you have dated many Yoruba guys and they were so romantic bla bla bla... Is this an irony or hypocrisy? ![]() |
ssweetorgasm: Are you she-male? |
kayode27: May God handle your life the same way GEJ and his ministers handled our resources. Can I hear you saying a big amen? |
