Check this out Your screenshot further shows it is a generalization from the explanation given there. You simply used the word tend to generalize. I have told you already I can't help you if you can't see it. Sorry. Next time do not generalize. Eod. |

Alondra: It makes a lot of difference, use your dico You probably need to pick one up first. Go back to your initial post and read it again, if that doesn't look like a generalization to you, I can't help you. ----------------------------- : a general statement : a statement about a group of people or things that is based on only a few people or things in that group : the act or process of forming opinions that are based on a small amount of information |

Alondra: A 1800s way of reasoning, Most ladies nowadays don't go back to their parent's house after school. They prefer to be alone and work their ways through life, so your assertion is wrong. Ladies in their parent's house tend to be the lazy ones who feeds on what the oldies have to offer. They have higher tendencies to be frequent on social media. A good cook may decide to go to an eatery to eat also whatever happens to having things a different way.
Your write up I flawed in many ways but the worst of it is your hasty generalization. May I put it to you that there I no place you cant find a wife or husband even in the asylum You accused someone else of generalizations whilst doing the exact same thing. Sigh. It's each individual's business whether they choose to live at home or on their own. |

We cannot live peacefully again with all the instruments and noise and FYI, we have a church in our close and we don't even hear from them save on Sundays, they don't disturb at all.
What authorities can one report this to that would be swift to act.
This is madness!
I am a liberal and I never read anywhere in the Bible where Jesus or any of the apostle for that matter disturb people to pass their message.
Who has had similar experience and how did you handle this? I think some local governments take action against such. Which state is this happening in? Nigerians unfortunately are not very considerate people. |

claremont: So you mean British Army troops should blame Theresa May if they ever lack water and food when deployed, or US Army troops should blame Barack Obama if they lack bare necessities?! Trust me, these things do happen, but the blame rests squarely with the field commanders.
I don't think you guys know how a military chain of command and/or logistics chain works. Of course they should. Who else should they blame? If Theresa May appoints an ineffective commander who doesn't know his/her left from right, who should be blamed? Leadership is about responsibility and accountability, that's the reality, chain of command or not. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown, it was never meant to be a walk in the park. If Buhari can't deal with the pressures of his work, then he should step aside. Simple. |

Politics › Re: Boko Haram Finally Crushed — Buhari by ephi123(f): 5:02pm On Dec 24, 2016 |
claremont: I had this conversation the other day and someone was saying that Buhari was witch-hunting when it comes to corruption. Personally, I don't give a flying squirrel if he is witch-hunting or not, the evidence available to the public clearly shows that the people being witch-hunted are corrupt. If any leader is to arrest all the corrupt people in Nigeria, then, 99.9% of Nigerians (you and me inclusive) will be arrested because we have all engaged in one form of corruption or the other. Buhari should continue to witch-hunt all the elite who decimated our economy and our armed forces. If this were a military regime, most of these people would have been summarily executed by firing squad.
Secondly, on the issue of him saying Boko Haram is defeated, he is correct. In military parlance worldwide, an enemy is defeated when the enemy has been decimated to the point were it lacks to capacity to undertake large-scale attacks. In the context of Boko Haram, large-scale attacks mean the indiscriminate bombing of our cities, the capture of large swathes of our national territory, the capture of our military barracks and equipment, the kidnapping of our children. This is the same phrase George Bush used some years ago when he said terrorists in Iraq have been defeated. It's a military terminology, it doesn't necessarily mean each terrorist living in the territory has been killed.
The final issue you raised about the lack of food or water for our soldiers in the theatre of operations has nothing to do with Buhari, the blame rests with the commanders of the various units who failed in the responsibility to their troops. You cannot expect Buhari to micro-manage every sphere of operations.
Happy holidays. Witch hunting in itself is a form of corruption as far as I am concerned. Pray tell how can a person who is surrounded by ultra corrupt people be effective in tackling corruption, that is like asking an ant to guard sugar. And the supposed witch-hunting, how many convictions have been successfully secured? Zero. None. So there goes that out of the window. Has nothing to do with Buhari? Nothing to do with him? I had to repeat that twice to let it sink in. Leadership comes with responsibility, if a leader cannot be held accountable for things under their watch, then he/she has no business being a leader. Merry Christmas to you. |

claremont: Never again would we go back to the time when Boko Haram ran riots in our streets, ransacking military barracks, and bombing our capital city whilst a President sipped ogogoro. Never again would money meant for funding our troops be diverted into corrupt hands whilst our troops die in battle due to no equipment.
Buhari rode to power on the back of a promise to end the Boko Haram scourge and to address corruption. He has done both. The next phase is to sort out the mess in an economy devastated by donkey years of misrule. It will take time, but we will get there in the end. Yes indeed. He has truly "done both" The evidence indeed speaks for itself as in the threads below. Then with the crash of MMM it's sardonic Mr Sarrki, I know we've all been talking about your use of English, but please don't take it to the extreme opposite. The word sardonic has no business at all in the sentence you just typed. Sardonic --- adjective: grimly mocking or cynical. E.g. "Stanley attempted a sardonic smile" Anyway, back to the topic, Buhari certainly cannot claim Boko Haram has been fully defeated, far from it. Propaganda does not win a war. |

duni04: Wish I could wish her RIP but can't. The report of her death said the house help asked for a raise and the woman refused. Then she sent him on an errand to buy expensive food from Astoria. Imagine! Know about one "big man" that owns one of these transport bus companies in the east. He has a big home in Lekki and his daughter is a celeb. This man always owes his domestic workers salaries. One of them died recently from hunger. You need to see how this man lavishes money with exotic cars and loud parties. Why they deliberately choose to be wicked baffles me. When these guys now get angry and take their pound of flesh on these people, everybody will start making noise and call them evil people, not knowing the kind of bullshit and provocation that these "big men" have put them through. Na wa for this your way of reasoning, same with admax. You people just type all sorts online. Why should the victim be blamed for the sickness of the animal who killed her? She made her money and has a right to spend it as she wishes. Please expand your mindset. |
