IRCC would request a new PP when your visa is ready... you must have at least a year validity on your PP as at issuance of your visa...proceed with the current one and raise CSE for the new PP when it's ready. MumofTwins2017: Someone please help with this. My passport will expire in 6months time and I want to renew it. Incase the new passport isn’t ready and I am issued PPR, can I submit the old one at VFS for stamping then travel with the old and new one when it comes out? Or raise a CSE and upload the new one even if the PPR mail has been sent? Thanks guys. |

IMO @bold is not necessary. that doc (CAC) is not accessible to employees, if am a VO i might think its an arranged work experience. keep your app simple, what you have already is more than enough to proof your work with that company. even some companies in Canada under AIPP doesn't have online presence. CanadianBae: Good morning all! Please I need clarity, it's regarding my work experience, I worked there in the past and I have been able to get work reference letter and salary certificate as I was paid in cash but the issue is that they do not have online presence. Do y'all think it will be too much info to upload the company's CAC as they are willingly to give me a copy?
Another one is about my surname, my family changed our surname about 7 years ago and got it published on the newspaper (including mine) but I continued to use the old surname as I felt it was so mush hassle carrying evidence of surname change anytime the need arise (I also didn't like the surname ). My old surname is what I have for every of my documents, now the issue is my mom want to gift me some amount for proof of fund but she is going to have to sign and address herself with the new surname and in my personal details where they asked for family members I wrote their names with the new surname because that is what they will have in their passport. Do y'all think it's going to be an issue? Should I raise a LOE with the change of name evidence of my mom and siblings? But then again, it has my name on it and I haven't been using. |

You can sir, for instance, you can change from spouse non-accompany to spouse accompany, your CRS would be recalculated by the VO, if it meets all requirements of your round of invitation... then you are game and if otherwise straight rejection. bezimo: Are you sure about this..you can't change anything in your application after ITA |

well said ma, @bold raw cash is real MVP Mamaroon: All the best ma'am.
@All, a general note of warning on Mutual Funds. They are equity based and even though the Fund Manager or Asset Manager may indicate that you can easily liquidate your investment, the truth is that the amount you receive on liquidation may differ (and be lower) from your original investment if asset/share prices have dropped significantly.
This is not the case with treasury bills (which one holds to maturity) or a deposit for which a bank may charge some small nominal fee for early liquidation on (if at all). This may be why some VOs have issues with Mutual Funds. I know people will say "but it has worked for lagbaja"...but...a word is enough for the wise....apart from deposits and treasury bills, CASH is king! |

These officers sometimes make me wonder if they are truly qualified for the job, how will someone provide all this doc and you said he has 0$ of POF? make una fear God na. reason why i wont put my POF in any investment ish, na the account e go dey (raw accessible cash) till PPR show. please tackle the issue asap. it will end in praise. NanaF: Finally received my GCMS. Officer said I did not provide proof of funds so ‘review required’ for eligibility. Also commented that I provided $0 out of the required proof of funds.
Used my stanbic mutual funds letter/statement and pension letter/statement, included explanation on POF in LOE, even included a table breaking everything down alongside the exchange rate.
This thing is very unpredictable because you don’t know the officer that will be in charge of your file. |

Goodnigga: what's your target CRS score? Why don't you write TEF too na? thanks a lot for your suggestion, I dont reside in Nigeria and where I am french class is far from it, I reside in a non-english speaking country. I have a very tight schedule as regards my academic pursuit (am a Phd student), learning french would have been an easy option for me if am in Nigeria. I hope you understand my point. Jaybye: Bro, it's not too late to start learning French. It seems like a tall order but achievable actually if you make that decision and put your mind to it. Download the Duolingo app for a start. Search online for French Together and follow his tips and find a suitable coaching school like Alliance Francaise. If I were you, I would have invested the time I tried retaking the IELTS into this has it has more points on offer if you can get to a B2 or C1 level.
Please act. I would love to hear that breakthrough news from you soon. You've really given this your all and you deserve the best.. |
