Ejaloni123: Does the time of application affect the processing time? Let's say I applied when the processing time was 11 weeks, after waiting for good 5 weeks the processing time was changed to 16 weeks, do one need to wait for an additional 11 weeks instead of the 6 weeks one was having left? U don't have to wait cox ur application could be concluded before the new update of processing time u c after u submitted but put your mind that ur application wud be btw d new updates of processing time as u see it on the website of IRCC |

Ejaloni123: Study permit, it was just an instance I gave...Do you have any idea on how it works? to my best knowledge, the processing time is the time frame for you to hear the outcome of your submitted application, which differs from one applicant to another depending on your case scenario, it all solely rest on who is handling your application (VO). |

Moley22: i got admission to university of windsor, Tution is abt 13kCAD per term and i heard its 2terms per year, Thats abt 26k, My sponsor works with fedral govt and is stable enough but currently has only 7m in his account but i have a 1kCAD for my tution deposit, Now my question will this be sufficient for a sponsor to havr since he has a steady flow of income??Awaiting response, thanks. Alot of things come to play in this, ao many dependants has ur sponsor? Your available funds can't takia of a year tuition plus 10kCAD a yr living expenses as specified by IRCC. Because a VO doesnt expect ur sponsor to empty his account for your program, so even after paying your fees there should b something left to feed on by d sponsor. So the question above need to be answered to know your direction. |

Thats way too high high for a semester. Probably check ur offer letter. If after payment of tuition you still have 7M, I think you are on the good side. |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Eraytee: 7:53am On Apr 23, 2017 |
RealObserver: Thanks a lot for your insight bro, my course will last just 3 terms which is like 25k CAD for both incidental and tuition fee, then 20k for living expenses.
So am just 7k CAD short of the needed cash, I thought the landed properties will cover for that, besides am building a house in one which I May complete before December this year, I've gotten to roofing level, will that one convince them.
Besides this VO's nor dey pity person sef? Them think say na so e easy for Nigeria ... just kidding though the landed property can only stand as hometie, its never a liquid cash just as @Austinpee4 said earlier. its either you get a sponsor or try figure out the funds if you are going to be self sponsored, try to pay part of your fees to show commitment cox just showing this fund and not paying part of your tuition might not convince the VO enough as u are self-sponsored, den no too trust Nigerians. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Eraytee: 7:32am On Apr 23, 2017 |
Austinpee4: There are some factors to also consider while deciding to sponsor yourself. 1. The duration of your program 2. Availability of funds to cover the entire program.
If your program is a 2years program and anything between 3 to 4 terms, then I'm afraid the 38,000 CAD will be INSUFFICIENT. For your first year alone for your program, you should have a minimum of 2 terms which = 8020*2 =16,040CAD + 10,000CAD=28,000CAD
2nd year should be around same fiqure, so your total funds for your entire program of 2years should be
56,000CAD! and since you are SELF SPONSORED, You have to either should the equivalent of liquid funds for the entire program or show a source to generate funds for the second year of your program. Your landed properties evaluation is not LIQUID funds and will ONLY serve as hometies.
So, depending on the length of your program(guessing it's 2 years), do well to either show funds for your tuition an living expenses for the 2years or get a SPONSOR and show funds for a year. exactly my point, you have said it all, if am in his shoes, i'd get a sponsor and pay my tuition myself for a yr. that settles it cox your sponsor doesn't not need to pay a dime, all that is needed is the supporting docs from sponsor. with this funds issue would be covered successfully. |

RealObserver: Good morning gurus in the house, am about submitting my study permit application hence I need someone to help me asses my chances.
Was offered Systems Design Engineering (MEng) by University of Waterloo to resume by fall term.
I want to sponsor myself because I really don't want to bug anyone with my issues, don't want anyone to feel like they have a stake in my life.
I currently have 38,000CAD in my account which is wholly mine with two landed properties well documented in my name worth 7m.
My tuition is 8020CAD per term with incidental fee of 637CAD.
Finished from the university in 2015, completed NYSC this month, have been officially employed twice since i finished school and i have worked as an engineer in those period.
What are my chances With the said amount I think you have a good chance if the accumulated funds have a source and not a lump sum, since u are self sponsored, i think with my calculation your tuition for 2yrs would b around 32kCAD if 8kCAD is ur tuition per semester; you need extra 20kCAD for your living expenses for 2yrs as instructed by IRCC wch i cant see in your said amount above, its always good to show full access to tuition for the whole program if you are a self sponsored applicant, remember they dont expect you to be working while studying, so u must be able to show your tuition fees for the 2yrs plus living expenses for 2yrs to avoid " insufficient funds to complete program in canada" just package your application well with reasonable sop and do your calculation well and av the funds stated above, Gods grace u'll get ur trv. |

Sugaro: Pls house!
Must I submit my Uni transcript to the embassy fr visa application? Just wondering how long it will take to gt there as they don't give student's copy and my skl can take upto 2mnths. I was also thinking of telling my school(in Canada)to forward the copy sent to them from my alma mater to the embassy cos I really don't have time. Is ds a crazy idea?
Thank you for your reply. The bold is not compulsory if you don't have a student copy that you can submit, a copy of your certificate is enough for you to submit as academic doc. I have never seen anyone refused Bcox he/she did not submit transcript. Do well to submit photocopy of your certificate. |

Tee248490: so, no one on this thread with 2'1 has gotten trv for a college..... its not even worth it to try? Fanshawe to be precise Hello please get something straight, getting TRV with PGD/PGC is not by grade, its the ability to make ur intentions known to the VO while you chose the course and why it's PGD that is right for you, I'll always advice peeps here with reasonable work experience that is align with their UG to freely try with PGD/PGC. Masters admission gives u edge in TRV Bcox some of the admission comes with funding and d level of study wch leaves some burden off ur SOA and its one way of showing commitment and so on so fourth. We have alot of testimonies here of PGD/PGC with 2.1. Your intentions and reason for going for the program is what is key. Once u can clear d doubts of purpose of visit and av good financial strength amongst others supporting materials I think u have a good chance. The last testimony shared here was a PGD TRV so get it straight and don't confuse urself. |
