godsong: I don't think that should be a problem.your main concern should be to get your visa, get into cyprus. Please what is the faith of students who recently paid fees to CIU this August in getting their names to embassy as we know resumption is near. The issue of names of CIU applicants getting to embassy is a pain in the ass. Lots are waiting endlessly... Any info wud b appreciated. |

tcitachi: Sir its not that d names re not with d embassy d names re with them and it has been confirmed by even peeps who did interview and saw d new list its just d embassy that is having a difficult time to just call us back and ask us to check our names then resubmit our passport for them to issue d visa .. I don't knw y they re not calling us yet bcoz even d school confirmed that our names have been sent so what is the big deal there for embassy to call on time This is serious oooo, but I know for sure you guys would be called, just the time is what no one knows.... |

wip7: The said students some of them are on Nairaland as well and their agents. They never had printout as embassy asked all to come and were attended to. Have couples of students at embassy today also without printouts and they will be attended to.
CIU is headache. However, send me your UAL to my email am trying to follow my 4 students that just paid yesterday and they are heading to embassy also for today interview. They likely gonna get their by noon. Am waiting for their UAL FROM CIU today so wanna follow up. at bold, they are pain in the ass, God delivered me from their frustration. but sometimes i seems not to understand y issues like this happen cox the university has a data base of all students that have paid their fees. then what is the issue compiling these names? #deepestsigh |

wip7: Ahhh .. Yes, CIU has the largest environmental Eng in TRNC currently, in fact, I was amazed by the number of facilities they have in this field. Mostly, am being selected as Jury head for PhD students monitoring at the CIU and am continuously participating. Unfortunately, they have weak research members based on my standards.
Am always available to provide an academic assistance....not financial assistance oooo biko ! I am conversant with almost all research in Environmental so you can always email me for advice and support!

Johnnyessence: thanks for your reply here. I really appreciate it. Please can I send the certify copy of the documents to uniassist address via nipost courier service or using DHL or UPS. Cos from what I have read here so far sending the certify documents via nipost service is variably cheap. Please I still need some reply here. I have really follow the instruction diligently here. you can send it via any of the above mentioned, NIPOST is cheaper and your documents might take up to 10 business days to get delivered. while other means of sending it via DHL or Fed ex or UPS take shorter days 3-5days. so bro the choice is urs. |

Johnnyessence: thanks I appreciate your response. please I don't understand the notary public you mention here. I don't quite understand them. Please expansiate more further thanks again for your reply. If there is high court in your area or state, take it there you would get a lawyer to certify all the documents that need to be certified. |

Efedhoma26: thanks my fellow granite for the info i graduated 2015 just finished service October last year but to tell u the truth i never really loved geology dat much all i ever wanted was to go for fashion but my dad regarded it as an insignificant course but now dats wat i want to study wat do u advice i do instead to tell u the truth i need something more from the fashion industry but i dont think fashion in Nigeria can give me that wat do u suggest i do to be able to go for fashion design not geology please reply.thanks. I do understand ur dreams bro, but the issue as I said still lies with convincing the VO, its a difficult nut to crack sincerely, d good thing now is dat u are fresh out of school, get a course inline with geology for visa purpose. You can always change to another program on arrival in Canada, by den the VO gat no say on what u would like to go for. If canny is where you wanna be, u just have to do the needful to get wot u want. Bear in mind you have no first hand experience in fashion as u are fresh outta school. If am in your shoes i'd do what I proposed to u. Al the best just think it through. |

Efedhoma26: hello everybody am new in this platform but i really need help my name is efedhoma lydia graduated with 2.2 in geology and mining technology in the university of port harcourt. Please i want to study fashion design in a good university in Canada since my first degree is not related to fashion can i still get the admission to do msc in fashion? and can someone please advice me on a good school or website or link to apply for this course.Fashion is my dream course. pls reply Hello Geofellow I can't but comment on ur post, first of all, it's a hard way you are about to walk, I don't know how you intend going about your visa application without having the issue of purpose of visit as a refusal excuse, to be honest with you, its so difficult convincing a VO u want to go for fashion when your UG is in geology, what have you been doing since graduation? When did you graduate? why are u going from geology to fashion? why can't you obtain this in Nigeria? I'll advice u for d sake of visa process go for related courses like GIS and d likes. If u read through dis thread u'll see d difficulty encountered in cases like this during visa application. Am a geologist and I know how lucrative is d course. Its a red flag with ur choice of course. Don't dash VFS 55470 just like that bro, change ur course if you want to live dat Canada dream. Sop in ur case would have a lot of "WHY" to explain to d VO. |

sokunji: Hello house, you guys are doing a wonderful job. Please i need advice on the course to apply for; I studied Agriculture(Animal science),graduated in 2004. However i have been working in a bank since 2006 till date. Do i apply for a masters in Agriculture or banking/finance? If i apply for a finance/banking related course, how do i justify it on my SOP?
Kindly assist.
Thank you My. Advice for u, considering your years of experience in the banking sector, if u can get MBA/M.sc in Finance, it would be better, then fine tune your application with a sound SOP letting the VO see why you chose that with respect to your experience in the banking sector. All the best. |

deolutolu: You guys are doing a wonderful job. I plan to submit my application soon, I have a degree in mechanical engineering (4.2/5.0). I already got admitted to study a diploma in Aircraft maintenance in red river college. I hope this progression won't affect my purpose of visit? Seriously you have a good chance to secure a masters admission with full funding if luck smiles on u. PGD is even better dan u going for diploma and dis would be coupled with work experience in that case. Monikers and suggested to u, pls do d needful. |

Ladon7: I would have love that but from what I read, I must have 2.1 in my first degree and above 70% in my second degree. My master cgpa is 3.8/5 while b.sc is 3.0/5. Pls can u suggest the schools I can apply to considering my grade. I have 1 journal publication n the second one is on the pipeline. Pls advice Ur CGPA is not bad to give you Phd admission, if you are able to secure a supervisor then you are good to go, try Uni of Sask, MUN, UBC, UofRegina and use Google to also search for schools. Am not in ur field so I don't know much. |
