Wolecypher: thanks for your response. I guess I only have to pay my tuition fee after getting my visa. I was only asked to pay for the confirmation fee and health insurance of 1300 dollars which have paid for . I understand but the IRCC would personally request this from you, we have such cases presently on ground, so irrespective of what you are required to pay by ur institution be prepared for IRCC requirements too. That is the new development. |

Wolecypher: Greetings. Pls house I applied for student visa s 2 months ago though I Do get messages from cic about my application but my fear is my sponsor is my brother and he reside in US. Will it be an issue because most people here do use people in Nigeria as Der sponsors. There is no issue about that, but be rest assured that you might be required to pay a yr tuition if you have not done that. |

CanadianNurse: I will face that one on Monday through out next week... I made sure I did my medicals today! Although I got two circulars from CBN in PDF Format sha My question is this, what about an applicant whose tuition(a yr) was paid by his brother in the US with evidence of transfer from his account to d applicants student account. Will this policy still hold for such applicant? |

Newman1010: @Austinpee4, don't you think it would be a plus to present a new SOA with funds still intact as at the time of application? This can further prove that the funds were not fixed solely for the purpose of application.
Just thinking Just passing, i wil second @Austinpee4, provide only what they requested b4 some of us here wud shoot ourselves on d ankles. To my views, get that money deposited into ur account, and I bliv at this point according to the request the letter supposed to carry your available balance to confirm to the embassy that d funds are on deposit. Pls incase we have anyone on this thread and have gotten d said letter from the bank should share d content so that we can learn. For me, if I get such request I'll not do anything extra to what was asked from me. #Shikena |

adiukuonyebuchi: please i am about submit my Visa application and i want the gurus in the house to check these out.
I am 34yrs old this year and i am married and my wife is pregnant and she works with NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL COURT OF NIGERIA. MY Program in a PGD in business Sustainability. Why i applied for PGD is because my CGPA is bellow average for master, which i have stated in my SOP. i have some properties in the village (lands) but the lands have only agreement signed between the owner with his witnesses. I have a car, rented apartment in Abuja for N450k for a two bedroom flat. i have been working for 4years now, i have all the documents from my office apart from leave letter. I have my own registered company since last two years. Though the company has not started off. I have task clearance certificate for last year on it. I have my immediate elder brother as my sponsor. he has paid for my school fees, he has given me two different statement of account, with all his office documents. as a prove that he is working and can pay my bills. my wife gave me letter of consent also. there are no gap in my CV,as per what i have been doing since after graduation. What i read in my first degree is project management which is directly related to what i want to study now in my PGD. My sponsor works with an Oil company in Abu dhabi his office payslip has also been sent to me. Am I good to go? you are good to go, but it would make more sense if that leave letter can be included, it forms part of your hometie as regards returning to Nigeria and still back to your work, I dont know the content of your SOP but i think it should include the necessity of the proposed program as pertain to your career advancement and all, as regards the deeds of agreement of the land, try and get it Notarized for authenticity sake. |

gbsunmonu: All issues was tackled in the application we we were expecting approval mail .
But VO is just somehow anyway. But it cant lie .. it is just funny It's sad anyways cox d applicant was close to getting it, what I don't understand is that I think its the medical center that suppose to forward the results back to CIC and not d applicant sending it, I just feel it would be more official if it was being fowarded to the embassy by IOM. Mehn I can't imagine how d applicant feels right now. It's well. |

tysaxmalomo: Bro please do not confuse people, swearing an affidavit is different from notarizing. Notarizing is done by people who are notary public and can cost as much as 15k per document.....
Affidavit is possible to get at 350 sef since the oath fee is just 50# and all you have to do is pay the typist.
But don't confuse affidavit for notarizing.
Thanks
Cc @ yemdogg bro @mcobex was right non of the above cost much, have done the two dis year in lagos and i can attest to that. even my bro @Yemdogg sabi as e dey go. but if u av that said 15k you can come and give me i'll gladly help you out, confirmed and authentic (lmao just kidding) |

ugolinze123: MY DEAR NAIRALANDERS THE FACT IS NOT JUST MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS ON THOSE CONDITIONS I WROTE EARLIER ABOUT THE TUITION, EVEN IF YOU CAN GET AN AUTHORIZED LETTER FROM YOUR BANK AND FROM CBN YOU STILL MUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CASH WITH YOU BEFORE EMBARKING ON THAT JOURNEY.
1.ON ARRIVAL YOU WILL BE ASKED AT TORONTO BY CANADA BORDER POLICE ABOUT YOUR TUITION, IF YOU HAVE PAID OR NOT 2. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PRESENT MONEY FOR YOUR ACCOMMODATION AND FEEDING YES IT HAS GOTTEN THIS BAD 3.IF YOU CANT PROVIDE THIS YOU WILL BE HANDCUFFED AND TRANSFERED TO A FACILITY WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE DONT WORRY YOU WILL BE FED WELL. 4. YOU WILL BE ADVISED OR THREATENED TO NOT SEEK THE SERVICE OF A JUDGE CUZ IF YOU DO AND YOU LATER FOUND GUILTY YOUR VISA WILL BE REVOKED AND YOU WILL NEVER ENTER CANADA AGAIN GUESS YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS 5. A PAPER WILL BE BROUGHT TO YOU TO SIGN AND MY BROTHER YOU WILL BE ON THE NEXT FLIGHT COMING BACK TO NIGERIA 6. BUT NOT TO WORRY YOUR VISA WILL STILL BE INTACT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FIND YOUR TUITION AND GO BACK
SO BEFORE YOU EMBARK ON THAT TRIP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION WITH YOU CUZ IT DOESN'T JUST STOP AT GETTING A TRV THE QUESTION IS: DO YOU HAVE YOUR TUITION? CANADA DON CHANGE Thanks alot for the insight, pls is there anyone recently that have witnessed this at POE or did u have this as a personal experience? Na wa na real wa!!!! Thanks again for this information. |

squash1986: Good evening house. Please I applied to Humber College to study Information Technology Solutions as PGC and I am about submitting my online application next week. My Aunty {my Father's younger sister. She's a divorcee with one dependent who has graduated from the University and probably working now} lives in US, is sponsoring everything about my education.
This is my FIRST question; Is there any need for me to submit my payslip and my statement of account to IRCC even when my sponsor is taking care of the bills? To be honest, I don't have that kind of money in my account. My Aunty on the other hand have paid my tuition for one semester. She has also forwarded me all her bank details and documents of the few assets that she has which includes, a plot of land in Lagos and her house in America. She's ready to take responsibility of all my expenses {atleast for one year till I can get a part time job to pay for my fees for the second year}. How can I arrange my application in such a way that I don't need to include my payslip and statement of account to the Canadian vo? [even though I plan to include my employment letter both in my former place of work and my current organization, reference letter from my employer stating that I shall be going on a 2 years leave without pay to further my education]
My second question is this; My Aunty is still waiting to receive her tax returns
Please is it possible to include other supporting documents after submission online?
Please I will be grateful if someone can help me with an answer. Thank you. My candid advice for you is to submit your payslip along side your SOA once you have declared that you are working, remember this VO's love evidence of any statement made, do dis to avoid the issue of " personal assets and financial status" as a refusal reason, u don't necessarily have to have huge sum. My advice is on personal experience. You don't av to wait for your aunt 's tax returns before submitting ur application, try to avoid too much financial details that might not fly ur way. With her SOA I think you should go ahead |

SamReinvented: Hello gurus in the house, I have a bit of an issue that I'd like to clarify. I am applying for a visit visa, but the help i need cuts across. So, I have three landed properties that I want to declare in my application for home ties. One of the property is a completed 5 bedroom bungalow with a 2 bedroom boys quarters under construction at the back of it. The second property is a three bedroom bungalow at roofing level. The third is an undeveloped land. The issue is, I have R of O for all the properties, but how will the vo know that 2 of the properties are worth more than just a land? Do I need to take pictures of the sites (someone said pictures are no longer allowed) or the information on the structures erected on the lands are not necessary? Please those who have submitted landed documents, how did you do it? I will reply u base on personal experience last month at VFS, i wanted to submit some marriage pictures (3). The person attending to me said and I quote " please we no longer accept pictures anymore, your marriage certificate is ok to proof u r married ". That is my own experience, rules might change, I hope you get the msg from d bold. I'll advise if u av can contact all this people that values property dey can issue u with a documentary evidence of the worth of the land with the building on it. That doc is what you will submit along with a LOE stating d developmental stage of the land. The above is not actually necessary b4 u r granted TRV but I think I get ur drift, u want them to know d real value wch actually increases ur hometie. |

thesoj: I second this. @Perotti, get the Colorado I-20, but still pursue the University of Alberta admission & funding. Even if you get the US visa and change your mind, you can still apply for a Canadian TRV with the Alberta funding. Exactly, since he already had offer from Colorado I think he should go for it and still pursue that of Alberta, even though Canada for something like this has more prospects as regards immigration policy after study. But d Colorado offer shouldn't be thrown out. |

Perotti: @osemigho @thesoj @folaroyal @michv @austinepee4 @nelly28 @yemdogg @eraytee @penitential @mikymiko My big bosses pls i need your help. I had a skype interview with a PI at University of Alberta for PhD. The funding offer is 21k CAD (stipend+tuition) per year. We haven't concluded yet. Got another offer of $22k (stipend only, tuition covered seperately) at Colorado State Uni. Which do I go for? Alberta is of course higher ranked but I can't afford grad studies without funding. Please help. This is quite tight, but as they say "a bird at hand is better than thousands in the bush" if am in your shoes l'll do with what I have presently, the Colorado is good just order for your I-20 and go for your interview. Its a day stuff unlike 17wks wait of IRCC. So my brother pls first go with that lets see the outcome since the process is not a long one in getting the visa. |
