SHAME unto any Nigerians employed as LAPTOP CREWS and paid PEANUTS in return for defending BUHARI AND GEJ on this and other internet fora. Both of them (BUHARI AND GEJ) are misfits who should be sent to rot in JAIL. The fact that none of them can produce the qualifications they lay claims to makes then unfit. Wake up Nigerians, our country is a laughing stock for the rest of the world. Even Ghana whose citizens flooded Nigeria in the late 70s and throughout the 80s are making fun of Nigeria today. |
julie8:Your words accurately and adequately paint a true picture of who you are: A BIG FOOL WHO LACKS DECORUM. So, in my books, it's pointless wasting precious time conversing with your type of person. Nonetheless, for the sake of others reading these posts, the first thing that occurred to me is that Scan News Nigeria dot com reported through a ghost reporter who corresponded with a ghost Cambridge International Examinations worker. I would have expected the fool (who allegedly graduated from a university that someone s/he doesn't know can never graduate from in this life and the next) to decode this and smell a rat. More importantly, no UK Examination body or academic institution has the right (not even under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000) to confirm examination or degree results to third parties without the express permission of the examination candidate or graduate, as the case may be. It is as a sequel to this that the CIE issued a "Statement in response to Nigerian Presidential election enquiries" on its website: http://www.cambridgeassessment.org.uk/news/statement-in-response-to-nigerian-presidential-election-enquiries/ Any sensible Nigerian should differentiate between the statement issued by the CIE and the news report filed by a ghost correspondent of Scan News Nigeria dot com <http://scannewsnigeria.com/news/cambridge-university-denies-releasing-buharis-result-to-kastina-state-secondary-school/> Fellow Nigerians, education is power, educate yourself, and do not let some idiots mislead you. To be clear, I do not support GEJ - an absolutely clueless guy, neither am I convinced that Buhari should be allowed back to the State House. In my neck of the woods, both of them would have been booted out of the process if Buhari cannot produce his GCE results and GEJ can't produce his PhD parchment. It only takes verifiable letter/email, etc, for the duo to ask that their academic qualifications are verified and made public by the relevant bodies. Having failed to do that, both of them are, to my mind, qualification fraudsters. They are therefore unfit to hold any positions of trust. Nigeria needs a vibrant, transparently honest, well educated, cultured, mannered and empathetic young man or woman to take back Nigeria from the hawks and bring back its lost glory. Currently, Nigeria is a BIG JOKE and the world is laughing at what's going on there. |
julie8:Whoever JULIE8 is, you are a disgrace to your family and alma mater, if you have one. And, your ignorance which arguably emanates from your ill-education has turned you into a walking dead. But, as always, I'm committed to bringing the likes of you back to life from the abyss of ignorance and death. So listen if you must stop wallowing in abject ignorance. Cambridge International Examinations conducts the Cambridge International Genereal Secondary Certificate of Education (IGCSE) and their web address is <http://www.cie.org.uk/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-secondary-2/cambridge-igcse/>. Conversely, the University of Cambridge offers world class undergraduate and postgraduate education and research programmes. Their web address is <www.cam.ac.uk>. Although the former is owned by the latter, the latter does not concern itself with issues that falls within the remit of the former's operations. Listen and learn. do not wallow and die in ignorance. |
julie8:IGNORANCE, THE BRAINCHILD OF ILL-EDUCATION, KILLS. THERE IS NO SUCH THING ON THIS PLANET EARTH AS CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE. WHAT A SHAME THAT YOUR FALLACY ATTRACTED OVER 400 LIKES FROM IGNORAMUSES. |
CAN JONATHAN PRODUCE THE ORIGINAL COPY OF HIS PHD PARCHMENT? |
This is a country where if the Abacha loot were to be redistributed to every Nigeria, no one would receive less than a million naira each. Yet people, in the midst of wealth, are wallowing in abject poverty. I am thoroughly ashamed of the country called Nigeria. |
The idea of THE GREAT BEYOND is indelibly engraved on the mind of Africans, especially Nigerians. This is 21st Century for goodness sake. When you die you die. Period. No heaven or hell; no reincarnation or transmigration - it's all stone age make-belief. Fellow Africans GET REAL. |
When I Googled this guy's name, I struggled to find his peer-reviewed publications, not even in databases. I guess he's been an armchair academic all along. I invite you to search the name of a Professor in a British, American or Canadian university and you would have to troll through tones of publications in leading academic journals. Not the same with Nigerian professors--the vast majority of who publish in predatory Turkish, Pakistani, Indian and Somali journals, to mention a few. Whatever Professor Osasere Orumwense may have achieved, administratively, the fact that he has no outstanding online publishing presence in world class academic journals speaks volumes. Nigeria's education sector, like the country itself, is irrevocably doomed! |
Ashonibarenla:There is no conclusively convincing evidence for God. For countless centuries, arguments for God's existence (vis-a-vis: ontological, cosmological and teleological arguments) have been articulated to no avail. The Problem of Evil alone leaves God's alleged omnipotence, omniscience, and omni-benevolence in complete tatters. Also, the notion that God allows evil (as is often said in the case of Job) to happen to test homo sapiens is an absolute rubbish. Of course, the bible is an acutely concocted document: the Old Testament contains Ancient Hebrew narratives interspersed with Ancient Mesopotamia mythologies and folklore whilst the New testament contains grossly redacted and forged narratives about Jesus and Early Christian Origins. I'll rather not believe the pack of lies contained in the Bible. The Quaran is another bull sh1t that I'll rather not go into. |
simpleseyi:Many thanks for this thoughtful response. You, however, omitted the issue or phenomenon of religious conversion, sadly emanating from unverifiable claims. Personally, the biggest problem I have with Nigerians is the lack critical thinking and rationality. Even the teaching of religion in Nigerian higher institutions is dogmatically confessional, in comparison with European, North American and Australasian institutions where the teaching of religion is critically liberal. Invariably, whilst Nigerian Religious Studies departments typically teach with religious fervor (enough a reason to scrap them and turn off public funding tap), their counterparts in the develop world typically teach to facilitate students' critical and rational understanding of religions. In fact, the vast majority of religious studies scholars in university departments in the developed world are atheists or agnostics. |

This is MONEY LAUNDERING committed by agents of the Nigerian State, wittingly or unwittingly, on behalf of the Nigerian Government. It's a shame that it takes a country like SA to drill down the message that money laundering is both unethical and criminal. It is within SA's right to seize the money and never return it to the Nigerian government. Spend this money on the Nigerian education sector and this generation and those to come would never be the same again. What an absolute shame. I am angry and disgusted! |
ILIDEFI: Jonathan's administration has benefitted the Anglican church, so d award is not out of place. I just learnt from a staff of Church of Nigeria Episcopal house here in Abuja this evening that most Anglican churches in Abuja just recently got their papers in this GEJ's tenure. GEJ is a blessing to the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion esp in Abuja, so he should be appreciated. Moreover, he is an Anglican, so he is one of us. He is not worse that Obj, yet many who are accusing him now were silent during Obj's tenure. This is Nigerian mentality: it's warped! What GEJ ought to do is put a system in place whereby everyone gets what they, as of a right, are entitled. That is what happens in a free and just society. |
Don't be surprised. Only last year (2013), Jonathan Goodluck organised a fund raising where ₦6bn was generated (http://thenationonlineng.net/new/outrage-over-n6bn-donation-to-jonathans-hometown-church). It's not out of place to ask: where is the money now? How much was remitted to Nocholas Okoh, the Primate? I doubt if honest answers would ever be given to these questions and many more. Nonetheless, this fund raising and other money transfers behind the scene undoubtedly underpins this conferment. Awolowo was an Anglican and did many things (OAU being one) that generations can point to. Bishops of those generation didn't give him any awards. Goodluck, to my mind, and to date, is leaving behind no lasting positive legacy. Yet, he's being decorated. The reality is this: the vast majority of today's Nigerian Anglican bishops and archbishops, including the Primate, are at worst rogues and at best indifferent. SHAME! |
Silent movies, arguably, have been acted in that church premises for centuries, albeit clindestinely. You'll be suprised how many homosexual and heterosexual acts both volunatry and forced (i.e. rapes) had taken place in that church premises over the centiries and to date. So, don't moan! |
Grammatically flawed and woeful reporting. By the way, are these UNN undergrads and postgrads? Besides, the picture showing students and armed personnel bears the resemblance of US prisons. Is that what they call students' hall of residence? lol. |
Members of the Nigeria Police Force pick ordinary citizens on the street, falsely accuse them -dead or alive - as bandits and parade them publicly. How can we trust this seemingly fictitious news. Shame to the Nigeia Armed Forces and their rank and file. |
IN TRADITIONAL YORUBA SOCIETY, THE YORUBAS HAVE A WAY OF DEALING WITH AND TEACHING SOMEONE WHO FIGHTS WITH HIS TEETH A LESSON. YOU SIMPLY ROB SPECIAL CONCOCTION INTO THE BITE MARKS AND ALL 32 TEETH WOULD, UNFAILINGLY, BE ENTIRELY LOST WITHIN 7 DAYS. SUAREX NEEDS THIS AND HE'LL NEVER EVER BITE AGAIN. PERIOD. |
How Far?:CRAP NIGERIAN MENTALITY. IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU WITH YOUR KIND OF MENTALITY THAT ALLOWS NIGERIAN LEADERS S TO ACT WITH IMPUNITY. |
presher: bros the first allegation was falseSOME PEOPLES' BRAINS SEEM TO BE ON INDEFINITE LEAVE/HOLIDAYS. SO, RECEIVING A HONORARY DOCTORATE FROM A FICTITIOUS COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY, IN YOUR VIEW, ISN'T A FRAUD? I AM SURE, LIKE GEJ, YOU HOLD UNIVERSITY QUALIFICATIONS. |
GOING BY THESE REPORTS, AND BY ALL ACCOUNTS, THIS WOMAN IS A FIRST CLASS FRAUD WHO IMMEDIATELY SHOULD BE GIVEN A SACK. |
Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah in fresh fake doctorate degree scandal Musikilu Mojeed Published: January 8,2014 https://media.premiumtimesng.com/dev/wp-content/files/2012/09/MINISTER-OF-AVIATION-STELLA-ODUAH-480x300.jpg Twenty-four hours after her claim to have acquired a Masters degree from the St. Paul’s College in the United States was punctured, PREMIUM TIMES has uncovered another false claim by our embattled Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah. This time, the minister lied on oath to the Nigerian Senate, claiming another American ‘university’, Pacific Christian University awarded her an honorary doctorate degree in 1998. Mrs. Oduah made the claim in a 7-page resume she distributed to Nigeria’s 109 senators during her confirmation hearing on July 2, 2011. On page four of the document, the minister claimed the university, which she said was based in Glendale, awarded her an honorary doctorate in Business Administration. Download the resume Minister Stella Oduah submitted to the senate here.http://media.premiumtimesng.com/dev/wp-content/files/2014/01/Princess-Stella-Oduah-CV-.pdf It was based on this document that she was grilled and eventually confirmed by the lawmakers. But investigations by PREMIUM TIMES suggest that no university called Pacific Christian University exists in the United States. The U.S. Department of Education, through its National Centre for Education Statistics, keeps an up-to-date database of all public libraries and educational institutions in the country – public, private and colleges. PREMIUM TIMES reporters spent hours on Wednesday searching this database. Our reporters searched by state (California), city (Glendale) and name of institution (Pacific Christian University). Yet, nothing came up in the name of the university Mrs. Oduah claimed gave her an honorary doctorate. According to the database, there are six colleges (universities) in Glendale, a city of 191,719 inhabitants in Los Angeles County, in the state of California. The colleges are American Medical Sciences Centre, Brand College, Glendale Career College, Glendale Community and North-West College. There is no such university known as Christian Pacific College as claimed by the minister. The spokesperson for the National Centre for Educational Statistics, Susan Ad, could however not be reached for comments. She is yet to return calls and reply an email sent to her by this newspaper. The spokespersons for the minister appear unwilling to comment for this story. Efforts by PREMIUM TIMES to get them to react to this new revelation were unsuccessful. Joe Obi, her special assistant on media, did not answer or return calls. Yakubu Datti, the spokesperson of the aviation agencies, who usually speak for her, answered our call but immediately said he would call back. He is yet to do so as at the time of publishing this. Meanwhile, in the same resume she submitted to the Senate, Mrs. Oduah did not indicate that she got a Masters from St. Paul, raising questions on why she made that claim in her official citations and profiles posted on the Ministry of Aviation website, her personal website and her Wikipedia page. She only claimed in the document to the Senate that she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Paul’s College in 1982, a claim that PREMIUM TIMES is investigating. The spokesperson for the Nigerian senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, tried Tuesday to extricate the senate from blame as Nigerians criticize the lawmakers for conducting a sham screening exercise that allowed Mrs. Oduah to get away with lies and deceits. Mr. Abaribe said the lawmakers depend largely on the nation’s security agencies to help them investigate claims by appointees of the president. He said in conducting screening exercises, the senate relies largely on reports forwarded to it by the security agencies. Mrs. Oduah, and her associates have spent the last several hours scrambling to clean up the minister’s biographies on the Internet, following allegations that she lied about her academic qualifications. Already, Mrs. Oduah’s biography on the website of the Ministry of Aviation has been revised, with references to St. Paul’s College now wiped out. The Wikipedia page of the minister was also edited and it now has no reference to the university Mrs. Oduah attended. The last edit on the Wikipedia page was done at 14:41 p.m. Nigerian time Tuesday. All links and reference materials on the Wikipedia page capable of linking the minister to the university that has disowned her have also been deleted. Even the minister’s personal website has been reviewed to remove any reference to St. Paul’s College. Mrs. Oduah had since October been enmeshed in a a N255million armoured cars scandal in which she was accused of compelling an agency under her supervision, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to buy her two exotic bullet cars at clearly inflated prices. The purchase of the cars generated outrage for weeks because its cost was inflated, and it was neither listed in the government-approved budget nor did it comply with the Nigeria’s public procurement law. The House of Representatives has since asked President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the minister but the president has failed to act. tpia@:MORE IMPORTANTLY, ONCE THIS TYPE OF ALLEGATION HAS BEEN MADE, AND MADE PUBLICLY, DOES NIGERIA HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE TO TACKLE IT? I MENTIONED EARLIER ON A RELATED THREAD THAT IN A FEW EUROPEAN COUNTRIES INCLUDING GERMANY, CABINET MINISTERS WERE ALLEGED TO HAVE PLAGIARISED THEIR PHDs. THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY SUSPENDED PENDING THOROUGH INVESTIGATIONS, THEIR PHDs WERE AFTER CAREFUL INVESTIGATIONS REVOKED AND THEY ULTIMATELY LOST THEIR MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS. THE REVERSE IS THE CASE IN NIGERIA WHERE THE PRESIDENT'S PHD THESIS IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. |
grandstar: Many thanks for your response above and I apologise for my last response. Just saw it yesterday and a laptop is best to reply you and not a phone.WHAT A DUMP RESPONSE AND DEFENSE. |
E nice: God may exist, i don't know. But what i know is that the concept of God as written in the bible is wrong. My reason is this: how can God hand over the earth to the devil just because Adam ate one fruit. He now wants to redeem less than 10% of his own property by sacrificing his only begotten son to the same devil. This is beyond reasoning.ABI? THANK YOU O JARE |
IN THE END, THIS SCHEME ENDED UP HUMILIATING UNIVERSITY GRADUATES, INCLUDING THE SO CALLED PHD HOLDERS WHO SHOULD HAVE PICKED UP TEACHING JOBS EVEN IF IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS. A COUNTRY THAT TREATS ITS CITIZENS THE WAY NIGERIA DOES IS DOOMED. |
WITHIN THE LAST FEW YEARS, IN EUROPE, SOME CABINET MINISTERS IN GERMANY, ETC, WERE SACKED FOR COMMITTING PLAGIARISM IN PhD THESIS THEY WROTE YEARS EARLIER. THE PHDs WERE ALSO REVOKED. EVEN OGA JONA'S PHD THESIS IS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND FOR HUMANITY TO BEHOLD ITS CONTENTS. NIGERIA IS IRREDEEMABLY DOOMED |
AN AVERAGE NIGERIAN IS A QUALIFICATION FRAUD. I READ SOMEWHERE ON FACEBOOK THAT SOME NIGERIAN ANGLICAN BISHOPS AND ARCHBISHOPS ARE QUALIFICATION FRAUDS, TOO. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAME! |
scarred9jan: And what are these evidences? And pls don't insult my intelligence that it includes my waking up everyday, rats wake up every morning and I don't see them praying to god. And you guys really make funny, near impossible examples to illustrate ur arguments.. What's with the whole waking up in a desert and finding building (whether whitewashed or plastered with a new paint job). We are using logical points here to discuss and you come up with funny stories. Well, am not surprised.. If you can believe in god then its only fair you buttress ur ideas with far-fetched examples. What is lacking amongst the majority of Nigerians is critical thinking and rationality. The other day, I met a Nigerian Professor of Geology and we got talking about his current work which fascinated me because he was talking about rocks and stones dating back to millions of years. When I asked him if scientific dating of such objects could ever be known, he 'Charismatically', covingcingly explained the possibility. Minutes after, we started talking about religion and I realised how passionate he was about his Christian religion and the delusionary born again farce. I then asked him, "If the rock samples you were studying have been in existence for billions of years, suggesting that this earth has been existence for billions of years, isn't that a negation of biblical calculations for the age of the earth which some put at approximately 6,000 years"? Is science right and the bible wrong? Or is the bible right and science wrong?" The response of this Nigerian Professor of Geology, in an age when Oxford, Stanford, Yale, Harvard and Cambridge universities are running science and religion programmes, is: "Science is Science, Religion is Religion". Scientific claims do not affect my beliefs." I excused the ignoramus and walked away. It was pointless taking the conversation any further. |
