CrimeMan Maltreated For Stealing Chicken by EreluY(op): 5:48pm On Oct 26, 2013

This is a photo of a man that stole a chicken at Relief Market owerri Imo state today, he receive the beating of his life and stripped of his cloth and thrown into a particular cage of the chicken that he stolen. This is really heart piercing and really sad for man to treat is fellow man like animal in this 21 century just because he stole a chicken.According to Nigeriacamera reporter present at the scene said the man was lucky because the mob doesn’t gruesomely do away with his live in broad day light.

Can Nigerians sink any lower than this?

Caracta: Your location says London. What do you even know about our educational system? Even autistic children are doing well here. Some of you just sit in front of your keyboards and type rubbish.
Yes, I am in London and I know a lot about the Nigerian public (not private) school system to which my earlier comments refer. If I may ask, can you provide me with a link to, or a policy document on, this matter? And, by the way, you haven't answered the OP's question.

Yes OlowoTee, I am referring to public schools.
PoliticsRe: Photo Of DPO Having Amorous Affairs With A Lady In His Office Leaks by EreluY(op): 4:57pm On Oct 26, 2013
This thread is in its 2nd page and nobody questioned the fact that the man in the picture was doing this whilst dressed in the Nigerian police uniform. Yes, he can kpekus even an 18 year old, the age of his grand daughter - that's a moral/ethical issue for them both to deal with, but certainly not in police uniform. Nigerians and their low-level mentality. Precisely why I keep saying that this country is irrevocably doomed.
EducationRe: How Do Schools Help Children With Attention Problems (ADD) by EreluY(f): 3:59pm On Oct 26, 2013
Nigerian Schools have no policy or scheme in place for special needs children in its system. For the sake of your child and his/her future, do all that is in your powers to REMAIN where you are or relocate to another developed country. Please do not relocate to Nigeria. If, however, you care less about her/his future and, therefore, willing to jeopardise his future chances in life, then feel free return to Nigeria. Good luck.

https://www.naijanani.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/DPO.jpeg

There is a saying that every day is for the thief but one day is for the owner. The DPO in question happens to be having a sexual affair with this lady. She took pictures of them together in his office. And as a professional police officer, he was busy investigating the criminal offence the boobs was trying to commit.

But somehow the picture got to the wrong hands and this is what we got, beware of what you do in public.

who said our police are not working?

I thought they were meant to lay good example in the society.

PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye Released, Says Police Exhibited Professionalism by EreluY(f): 2:35pm On Oct 24, 2013
This is why NIGERIA WILL NEVER EVER PROGRESS. Nigerians deploy argumentum ad hominem (ignoring the substance of an argument to attack the personality behind the argument), a low level mental reasoning, to justify wrongdoings. Can Odua's alleged purchase of these BPCs with public fund be justified at a time of national infrastructural decay in almost every sector (health, education, etc)? No! The point is this: if Melaye is allegedly guilty of the same crime, then let the public stage a similar protest, and let them both be brought to justice.

Developed countries in Europe, North America, and Australasia take honesty and integrity seriously. Once you crossed the line, you're finished. Forgiveness and second chance aren't, as such, part of their worldview. Once you lied once, you're a liar for ever; once you cheat once, you're forever a cheater; once you commit crime (or break the law) once, you're forever a criminal. That is why their societies are relatively saner.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Anambra State Ministry Of Education Massive Recruitment (over 60 Positions) by EreluY(f): 5:26pm On Oct 18, 2013
Eligible candidates of Anambra State origin should collect applications forms free of charge from the Area Education Offices, Ministry of Education in their Local Government Areas of origin.

What sort of banana republic is the geo-political entity called Nigeria? You have non Yourbas, especially people from South East Nigeria, freely teaching in state schools in South-Western states (e.g. Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Ondo), but these selfish Igbos would only recruit their own kin and kit. Isn't it time that non-Yorubas in state schools, colleges and polytechnics and universities are asked to return to the vilages?
Christianity EtcRe: Jonah & the Great Fish: Real or Allegory / Parable? by EreluY(f): 4:11pm On Sep 29, 2013
I keep wondering when Nigerians would wake up to the reality that the Old Testament contains ancient Hebrew mythologies and Jewish folklore--something akin to Ancient Mesopotamia, Greek and African myths. Period! From Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton to Yale, this is the view largely held by theologians and experts in the scientific study of religions, explaining why the Bible is no longer taken in the developed world as the inerrant word of God. Sadly, Nigerian religious studies departments are flooded (albeit, not exclusively) with locally trained champions! Only a few has degrees from Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, etc.
EducationRe: Would You Drop Your Nigerian Education To Study Abroad? by EreluY(f): 8:18pm On Sep 22, 2013
amnestylaw1: I will talk from experience. Before I got admission to OAU, I had studied Mass Comm up to the ND level. At OAU, I was in LLB 3 when the opportunity to travel abroad to further my education arrived. People advised me not to unless I finish my legal studies but I said NO. Of course I got admitted into Law at the University of London International Programmes. This year my mates are just finishing from Law school in Nigeria while I am still at school here. I found out that even when I graduate from London International Programmes Law, I cannot be a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria because the programme I am taking is considered distance learning by the Council for Legal Education in Nigeria. Any Law degree earned via distance learning or part time outside Nigeria (even within Nigeria) is not recognized for NYSC mobilization and Law School mobilization.

So, I would advise you to finish your law programme in Nigeria and then go abroad to continue your LLM. That is better. But, if you must travel abroad, then please do not attend a distance learning program- especially if it is Law. With Communication and Media Studies, I would like that course because I am currently eyeing teaching positions in one of our universities or colleges. Of course you may work in the media as a presenter or journalist. My one cent.
@the bolden and coloured text: UK does not grant visas for international students to pursue distance learning courses. You must have been granted UK visas on the basis of an entirely different claim. I share your view concerning completing your course in Nigeria and then doing your PG studies abroad, especially if the individual concerned is already in her/his final year.

About your own situation, forget about the Nigerian Law School requirements. Many retired judges and SANs including Gani Fawehinmi took their LLBs from London University as external candidates. Listen, if you're in the UK, and you complete your LLB with 2.1 within the time allowed (normally 6 years), the LLB is a QLD, and you can proceed to undertake your BVC or LPC, depending on whether you wish to become of a Barrister or a Solicitor. Nigeria is a dead, rotten meat, don't let it's obnoxious rule truncate your legal calling.
EducationRe: UNILAG Dissociates Self From Unscientific Publication by EreluY(f):
I searched for the article (http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/science-of-gay-marriage/158265/ ) and read it. UNILAG is right in disassociating itself from the publication which in my opinion is a bogus one. If this guy is really persuaded that he has discovered something unique, he should have sent his findings (in form of an academic paper) to top notch, peer review journals (nature, etc). If such journals accept and publish his work, UNILAG wouldn't disassociate itself from his findings. But because his claims are not only bogus but also fraudulent and unscientific, the best UNILAG can do is to distance itself from it. Chibuihem Amalaha, the author of the newspaper article is a homophobic who unintelligently mixes religious beliefs with shallow scientific claims. Just to debunk one of his claims: On The Physics of Gay Marriage. The reality is that atomic structures in human bodies react to magnetic fields in all manner of different ways -- not at all comparable to a simple magnet. This diversity of reactions is what makes MRI scans possible. So, what is he talking about? This idi0t also claims to have proved that Pi is not equal to 22/7. Which is rather sad, if he believes it, since Archimedes proved that in about 250 BCE.

Although there are outstanding scholars in Nigeria, Chibuihem Amalaha is representative of the majority of Nigerian graduates, graduate students and academics. All in all, academic standards seem to have reached a new low in Nigeria. This guy has certainly made a complete fool of himself.
PoliticsRe: Suspect Dies In Custody & Is Buried Without Family Consent by EreluY(f): 7:56am On Sep 20, 2013
Autopsies are mandated by law for anyone who dies in state custody. The prison authorities have broken the law by burying him without one. In a sane country, this would be investigated and somebody in the prisons service will go to jail.

Of course, this is Nigeria so nothing will happen. The police whose job it is to investigate have plenty of reasons not to interfere when a sister agency is trying to cover up a suspicious death.

My advise to the family is to exhume the man, hire their own private pathologist to do an autopsy and release the results to the press. The only way to get any justice in Nigeria is to embarrass the government into action.
Excellent thought. But, nothing embarrasses those in authority in Nigeria today. It's business as usual. The masses that should have pressurised the government to accountability are busy trying to survive. Nigeria is irredeemably doomed.
PoliticsRe: Mohammed Abacha Decamps To PDP by EreluY(f): 9:29am On Sep 17, 2013
It's surprising that in spite of his proven involvements in his dad's embezzlement scheme, Mohammed Abacha has the gut to want to be in government. More surprising is the fact that he has a followership, including some miscreant Nairalanders. In saner climes, Mohammed Abacha would for ever be shunned and vilified. Isn't this the guy who, recently, was linked to a case in London in which one of his money laundering mules attempted cashing a traveler's cheque stolen during Sanni Abacha's disastrous rule of Nigeria? NIGERIANS DESERVE THEIR LEADERS! SHAME.

maximillahni: I don't believe this ese and pastor bioduns story, maybe not entirely, she is sounding like a drug addict, just maybe.if they had an affair,sh just does not sound like she was exposing him out of guilt, but u re sounding like a girl who was dumped and is trying to get back at the man who dumped her.u made ur choice, some of these ladies sleep with big pastors, politicians etc just to reassure themselves and prove that they are pretty, ese!my take is...the world will take u seriously when you tell the whole truth.
You only dump someone or something you've used. That confirms the man used her, meaning he had extra-marital affairs with her. So you think that justifies the so called pastor? I beg to disagree. The guy should quit the ministry. His position has become compromised.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Biodun/Coza Replies Ese Walter's Sex Scandal Accusation by EreluY(f): 11:59am On Aug 26, 2013
Typical warped Nigerian mentality and self-delusion. It's a shame that rather than advocate that this ‘pastor’ should come clean, some Nigerians are trying to exonerate him. Rather than provide an astute rebuttal of Ese Walter's claim, all this 'pastor' can come up with is "God told me not to speak". Helloooooooo, this is the reason why Nigeria, eternally, would remain doomed. And, when the time comes, Nigerian churches would fall into the same trap and crap that the church in the western hemisphere had fallen into: monumental decay and disrepair—both physically and spiritually!

It takes a bold, brave, educated and full emancipated female of Ms Walter's caliber to come out to the open to make this sort of declaration. Considering also Ese’s level of education, professionalism and exposure, and the consciousness that if her claims were to be established as untrue, then she would be liable to answer for a libel, she definitely wouldn't have come out to the open. I, however, only wished, she had one more round of this amorous liaison with this so-called 'pastor', fully audio-visually taped before blowing it all up. This is a call to all Nigerian women who had been (or are still being) abused (in churches, schools, colleges, universities, private and public offices, etc) to come out to the open and stop being ashamed or intimated. men perpetuating this sort of degrading habits are the one who should be disgraced. This is the 21st century CE. And, this ‘pastor’ is not a one-off. His type exists in Nigerian colleges and universities, the judiciary, armed forces, public and private sectors, and of course, in all church denominations, and within other faith traditions (Islam, African Traditional Religion, etc). But, these, at least do not espouse monogamy. I used to be a Christian. But, once, I discovered the antics of the men of the clothes; once I realised the emptiness of the church; once I understand that religion is a scam; once it dawned on me that the Hebrew Bible contains nothing but folklore; in short, once I became enlightened, I turned my back on religion, and freed myself from its shackles.

Nigerian High Commission Staff members are the same the world over. Dress up monkeys with the most expensive clothing and jewelries in this world, they are still ANIMALS and would eternally behave like subhumans--that's precisely what Nigerian High Commission Officers are.

The last time I was at the Nigerian High Commission Office in London, a lady flew in from Belfast wanting a new passport because only few pages were left unused on her existing passport. She was denied this request and asked to come back when all the pages had been used up. Needless to say she was alarmed and rained abuses and curses upon them. It's a PAIN being a Nigerian in 21st century CE.

Better still, if you complete higher degrees (LLM, PhD) in law, you could secure Lecturing position (you don't need to be called to bar to be a law lecturer in the UK and other developed countries). Hahahahahahha. Few years back, I was at a wedding ceremony of an acquaintance in Lagos. Just before the ceremony, I went to say hi to the groom and to let him know, I'll be leaving immediately after the ceremony. When I noticed the tag on his suit, I plucked it off. It almost spoilt his day, which I never ever intended. Why would I? He raged and raged and had to be calmed down. I later understand that it's meant to tell all who cares that he wasn't wearing an Abakaliki suit, but an Italian one. In other words, it's all about ignorantly packaging and showing-off oneself. It's fashion faux pas.

This is an interesting topic. Nigerians hide under religion to do all sorts and manners of ungodly things. Religion is definitely the opium of the Nigerian masses. It's also the stumbling block to finding solutions to Nigeria's problems. Rather than subject Nigeria's problems to critical analyses, and then rationally proffer adequate and lasting solutions, Nigeria and Nigerians would resort to prayers and then 'hand over' the problems into God's hand. Any wonder, Nigeria, since the late 1970s has continued to deteriorate?
